Somehow an OT VIII, Super Power and L’s completion had “all sorts of problems, ridges and inabilities”…
Not much of a recommendation for the results of hundreds of thousands of dollars and years of slog.
She then goes on to explain that all you really need to go OT is The Basics, Congresses and ACC’s…
Scientologists seem to habitually brain fart when they get near a success story form.
Consider this: the last of the Basics, Congresses and ACCs was in the 60’s. Even L. Ron Hubbard didn’t think he had found the answers to OT. Everything on the OT Levels, the L’s, Super Power etc etc came AFTER these great discoveries that, according to Claire, contain all you need to go OT.
But scientologists just know that in scientology there is always another “breakthrough” that will take them to the promised land. And even when that “breakthrough” is something that is old but is now being recycled for new sales, there is nothing strange about promoting that the old as new and “more powerful” again.
At least L. Ron Hubbard kept discarding the old and replacing it with the new. Dianetics didn’t live up to his claims thus came his next “breakthroughs” with theta conquering the MEST universe and scientology, and the parade of “breakthroughs” is an extremely long one. Creative processing. Goals Processing. Grades. R6. Clearing Course. OT II. OT III. NOT’s. L’s. Super Poweer. KTL. LOC etc etc
But these days they just recycle the old and pretend it is now somehow better than the new.
Imagine if Ford brought back the Model T and had customers appearing in ads touting the virtues of the Tin Lizzie doing everything better than a new F-150/Fusion/Explorer. Or some testimonials about how the Macintosh allows you to do everything you ever dreamed of being able to do on your MacBook Air. Everyone would think the people were either:
a) crazy
b) paid actors and the company was crazy, or
c) comedians doing a parody.
But in scientology, they are lauded as opinion leaders and it is all taken soooo seriously.
It really does perfectly illustrate the insanity and cognitive dissonance that pervades so much of scientology.
FOTF2012 says
Scientology abjectly fails to note the obvious: if even a single full OT could demonstrate the abilities of those levels to scientists and the public, Scientology would indeed be unstoppable.
One OT, operating exterior with full “perceptics” (all 50 plus!) could see all the visible and non-visible wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation, could navigate through pitch black using the Earth’s magnetic field, could go through anything, and could see anything whether near or far. And per Hubbard’s original description, could mock up matter both subjectively and objectively. All money problems would be solved! Just have that OT mock up a new little pile of gold every day or week.
I think Hubbard believed some of what he taught, envisioned the final result and sold it to become rich and powerful, and then tried desperately but with total failure to create a bridge that actually brought people to achievement of the vision.
Scientology makes fantastic claims. By doing so it has the burden — which it has not owned up to — to provide evidence of its fantastic claims. The only evidence seen is anecdotal and/or trivial in comparison to the claims. Therefore, Scientology can be rightly assumed to either be (a) a fraud or (b) a group that is withholding evidence to prove great achievements that would indeed change mankind. Since the group purports to be saving mankind, option (b) is improbable.
Mike Wynski says
FOTF2012, forget an OT or even a Clear. Hell even someone who could demonstrate the E.P. of Grade 1 would cause an complete stampede that would fill every “Ideal Org” is 5 minutes.
But alas, Every major part of the “bridge” in scamology was a complete lie.

LRH would just send to the RPF all of the relevant FSO Tech Hierarchy personnel in and over the Case Cracking” unit, including the flubby “case cracker” auditors who failed to handle these flubbed cases of the people who had all those Flag services.
Case Cracking merely was supposedly expert assessing and handling of the various listed out case problems which are laid out on the GF 40XXX and C/S 53 Long Form.
Flag’s case cracker auditors merely were good at assessing on the Emeter and locating and then handling what came up on the GF40XXX and C/S 53 short or long form.
That’s how Flag public who came to Flag to get their “cases handled” had their cases cracked, supposedly, in the old days of “better” top quality auditors like old Lieke Halders and Ron Norton and Cheryl Licciardi and others who used to do the case cracking.
The auditors trained on the Class 8 course on the Apollo, trained before Case Supervision even was a formal job, learned all those thousands of details Case Supervisor notes and handlings, LRH had shorthanded into those lists that the original Class 8 auditors had their little index boxes containing all the case supervision directions they would follow to deal with cases.
I think it is futile to do all the detailed case stuff, but no one’s written a book about it all and focused on the details of it all.
I think and wish some ex Class 8 or higher who knows all the “tech” and some outside psychology expert, they just even go through the GF 40XXX and the C/S 53 Long Form, and give a public judgement of the Hubbard “case cracking” case supervision stuff that the Flag “case cracker” unit at Flag traditionally was supposed to be capable of doing?
Line by line, the details of the “case” theoretical stuff in the GF 40XXX and the C/S 53, translated into normal psychological language watered down to layman language so the outside world could understand it, would be useful.
To give Hubbard any degree of merit and credit for the “tech” of “case cracking.”
When I for a few months was near the case cracking HGB when I was on the Flag TTC in 1976-1977, I recall Lieke Halders and Ron Norton were the star case crackers in the HGB then, with David Mayo then Senior Case Supervisor at Flag.
Scientologists case troubles were supposedly fixed by assessing and handling the GF 40 and the C/S 53.
Lieke and Ron were the ace case crackers then.
The actual nuts and bolts pseudo-therapy of the GF 40 XXX and the C/S 53 just still to this moment in history, both have NOT been dissected by some really former “top notch” “case cracker” auditors, and this area of Hubbard’s “tech” hasn’t even ever been even delved into yet by outsider trained and really top notch theoretical psychologists to see if there is any worth at all to the Hubbard “case cracking” “tech.”
That’s the truth.
I’m atheist, and think it’s futile to even try, but the Hubbard GF 40XXX and the C/S 53 are just the two most packed chock full of details compendiums of Hubbard’s lower levels “tech” waiting a review by someone who actually has done those two repair lists and who knows psychological theory really deeply.
I heard Ron Norton is out, and I wish he’d do a writing of his years as ace Flag case cracker, which predated his years at Captain FSO.

As a rule, I have no problem at all with any individual continuing to have realizations, wins, new abilities, call it what you may, from continuing to study their religion or any philosophy. I think LRH has a lot to say that explains how life “works” and how one can better control the life experience and be happy doing it. I see nothing wrong with this woman continuing to have wins. I still have new realizations from my Scientology studies.
BUT … my “OKness” with this comes along with the following conditions:
*STOP EXTORTING MONEY FROM PEOPLE!. (ESPECIALLY with the entirely bogus “eligibility” which was put together for no other reason than to virtually steal peoples’ money) and along with this, KEEP DONALITONS LOW AND AFFORDABLE.
*STOP THREATENING PEOPLES’ PERSONAL ASSOCIATIONS WITH THEIR LOVED ONES.
*ALLOW PEOPLE FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION WHERE THEY CAN DISCUSS ANYTHING IN SCIENTOLOGY THAT THEY WISH AT ANY TIME WITH WHOMEVER THEY WISH.
*ONLY use “ethics” to help people with personal PTS sits or upsets or to remove people from the environment who are obviously destructive. AND USE “ETHICS” FOR FUCKING NOTHING ELSE!!!!!!
And yes, of course, it is both obvious and also strange that Scientologists apparently don’t notice that LRH and all who came after him, promise the COMPLETE handling of one’s case on almost every level presented in an explosion of hype (LRH did this in DMSMH and he NEVER stopped doing it). It’s ridiculous. People attest to Grade 1 and are still saying after OT8 that “NOW I can finally handle my problems after re-doing CCHs ….” An honest evaluation of Scientology training and processing would simply view the whole subject as a continual increasing of awareness with no “super” steps that one has to pretend to and attest to on the meter.
But I have to admit that “an honest evaluation of Scientology training and processing” is quite impossible in the fundamentalist church of scientology which is run by religious crazies completely caught up in the dramatization of religious zealotry and insanity that harkens back to the worst aspects of the middle ages.

Whether due to the indifference or ineptness of the Creator or due to the intrinsic nature of the machinery of existence, we are wired to fail and our destiny is to devolve into inert matter. That’s because as spirit souls we pick up debris as we travel through time and that debris has mass (mental mass) and it weighs us down and fucks us up and it will only get worse until we are unable to cause an effect of any kind. Then we will stay in that powerless state for all eternity.
Ron Hubbard is the first person who ever lived who has not only figured out the situation but has developed the solution to turn that diminishing process backwards whereby we can return to our native state of Total Freedom!
Those trained in the technology can wield it to effect the transformation not only of mankind on this planet but of spiritual beings throughout the entire universe forever! This is a one time opportunity let’s not blow it! It’s a very big and a very important game! Are you with us or are you against us?!?!
Somebody on the blog said the truth was the best bait but I disagree. I think the best bait is a fiction that instills fear in you then promises to free you from that fear…for a hefty price.

You’re not allowed to point out the outpoints in Scientology. What an OT8/3 L’s/Super Power handling their problems, ridges and inabilities? Does that mean you finally get “Super Power”? Hell listening to lectures and reading books is a lot cheaper than paying for the bridge (to bankruptcy). Bunk. Only in a captive bubble where MAAs are scouting for people who disagree, are such obvious outpoints passed off as “totally theta wins” … and the crowds cheers, hip hip hooray! Koolaid anyone?

I’ve come to learn that disturbing a Scientologist during their mental masturbation is a wicked thing for them. They get real pissy, spit and snarl and generally aren’t very nice about it at all. Similar to back chatting to a copper during a speeding violation write up I suppose.
If you get the chance try it. I did recently and it’s like throwing a lighted match into a fireworks box. It’s really quite fun before the smoke clears! But you do have to be very careful they don’t run away on you, like a startled deer in the headlights, you don’t have very long to observe the motion.
I’d also like to report I’ve successfully extracted a family member from the bubble think of Scientology and they are successfully thinking and acting on their own where their health is concerned. It’s amazing what honesty does when you get someone to actually look at the ridiculousness of Scientology’s bubble think concerning bodies and medicine. One down, 3 to go!
edge says
Congratulations on getting your family member to think for themselves, I Yawnalot! Honesty-tech is some of the best anywhere. I applaud the work that all the various blogs and the Debbie Cook letter and the MSM and the Tom Cruise foot-bullets have done to help people get out of Scientology and educate never-ins like me about the subject. But I think the most powerful thing is someone just being honest with themselves and stopping the mental gymnastics. Getting out of Scientology puts families together. Getting into Scientology breaks them apart.

OMG, I Yawn, that is fantastic news! I know there’s 3 more, but, there’s been movement. Congrats, my good friend! I revel in the feeling!
I Yawnalot says
Thanks Dude. The real scene is far from easy tho. It was the drastic health issue which I accidentally discovered and realized no one wanted to know about – the poor girl was and is quite sick, her liver is failing, that isn’t good. She’s family for fucks sake so I stepped in! But at least now medical evidence can’t be refuted and the OT masters have been shunted into an uneasy silence. I’ve been very close close to really getting in their faces about negligence but promised my daughter in law I’d back off for the time being and let her workout a handling, she has to live with them regardless. I’ve suggested a change of address should be considered.
The long term effect of those “OTs” and their bs actually put the poor girl into some sort of guilt complex about being too scared she didn’t measure up or some such nonsense.
No wonder severe illness frequents the older, more long term scios.

Excellent, Yawns!! It’s wonderful that they’re still talking to you and that you got them over the hump.
That’s the main reason I stay under the radar, so that I can still talk to people. So far, I’ve gotten/helped get about 5 people either fully out or knowing so much that they won’t ever see it the same way again.
Keep planting those seeds. With the right kind of fertilizer (bullsh*t) being added by the current CofS and little David Miscavige, the seeds have a very, very strong chance at growing and knocking the old tree out of its root system and growing in its place.
Yes, wow. Very fun to see people really, truly blow down because they’ve been shown the truth. One friend went right from talking to me (after a completely BS ‘ethics’ cycle at the org) to going into session with one of the well trained auditors in the field, going honestly Clear in the process. That was a very happy day.
I Yawnalot says
Good to hear Indie. Some game hey? But when a plan comes off = nice!

So what does this torrent of textual diarrhea have to do with Books Make Booms? It’s rather dissonant to have a promo tagline about dissemination slapped on a “success story” that has nothing to do with that. It’s like, say, an ad from Audi throwing up numerous examples of Vorsprung durch Technik, then ending with “Audi: Tony Stark Drives One”. One has nothing to do with the other.
It’s pure laziness combined with pure fear. They have an “official” top banner for the Basics, which they’re required to use for everything dealing with the Basics, and FSM help any clam that dares not use the approved banner exactly as it is. So slap it on regardless of the message. They try so hard to target their promos at their audience, yet completely fail at the end. Yes, yes, totally endemic of Scientology, insert your joke here. But it’s still worth noting.

THE answer to ALL Bridge problems, LIFE problems, stops, barriers, slows, upsets – the solution to EVERYTHING has ALWAYS been whatever the cult happens to be big time selling at the moment.
I knew OT 7s and 8s with serious health/ finance/family/business problems which impeded their Bridge progress but did any of them ever admit this? Not to me. All I ever heard was a kind of forced optimism about how ______________(the next thing they were buying which usually was what was being seriously pushed) was going to fix everything. And because (whatever) was going to fix everything, I usually heard about they were “pulling out all the stops” (read: going into more or serious debt) to “make it go right” to buy this next, heavily pushed thing that was going to fix everything.
Its sad, is what it is. I was sceptical even then – why, I don’t know, because i tend by nature toward optimism. Yet their bright chirpiness didn’t convince me, although I went along so as not to be impolite or rain on their parade. After all, I didn’t know anything about OT, so who was I to contradict? So, I went along, and said, “That’s great!”, to be kind, to be encouraging. But I had my doubts.
Inside I would be thinking, “What’s wrong with these people that it takes them so many years to get thru OTVII? What’s wrong with them that they have so many problems just like I have, and they’re so far up the Bridge, and I’m not even Clear yet – when does this stuff stop and just get handled?”
Of course, I was ignorant of what the 7s were being put thru via the sec checks. I was ignorant of lots of things that the OTs were being subjected to, i.e., the pressures on them to get the morgues Ideal, the enormous IAS donations pressures, etc.
When I finally went online and got informed, I understood what the OTs were up against, and the question I then asked myself was a kind of marveling at how they persisted for so long. I applauded them for that.
Well, I have wandered off the point, which is that I think its a damned shame that these peoples’ desires for higher states of being is what is being used to gull them, over and over and over, year in and year out.
There are many kinds of betrayal after trust, but I think that out of all of them, this kind of betrayal is the worst.
I Yawnalot says
OT7 & all NOTs bs is Scientology’s answer to handling able people. It’s designed to introvert and hold you there for money extraction, solution seeking and unsuspected mental disabilities only the church can provide. It’s not easy to extract yourself from that process and the resulting disabilities, but it can be done. Ist step is the same as an alcoholic has to admit – they have a problem (in Scioland it’s also admitting to being ripped off). It’s relatively plain sailing from there if you’re determined to get sober/sane.
But keep it simple, don’t overwhelm yourself with the trap Scientology presents as a whole. It will all unravel in due course imo if you handle it one step at a time.
Just my 2 cents worth but I’ve been down the NOTs road and know many others struggling with it. Get rid of it first – it’s poison!
Nothing good comes from being a member of the Church of Scientology.

I recall asking my auditorabout that concept of being caused over time. He said something to the effect that it was as simple as deciding to make some time. Not sure exactly what that meant.

I think what he meant was if you had an appointment in 30 minutes and you were an hour away stuck in traffic, a clear or OT could somehow decide to give themselves an extra 30 minutes and they would somehow magically make the appointment in time. I tried it once and it didn’t work for me.

Ahhh… that’s a trick statement, “cause over time.” Time has nothing to do with it, nor does abilities resulting from time management, anyone can do that with a little bit of effort, especially non Scios. Cause is the buzz word that gets Scientologists all in a lather. Even by their own dictionary it means “source point”
Goodie! Now stand there… see, you’re a source point, air gets sucked into that location and people avoid walking into you, some even smile at you and say hi! OT powers demonstration over – please pay on your way out. The only difference here is Scientology gets you pay first.

SILVIA says
There was philosopher, Schopenhauer, that said: “when you read a book do it as if you don’t know about that subject”.
If Scientologists were able to apply this idea they would be able to NOT have a pre-determined idea of how OT, or how much able, or whatever you should have at the end of your reading.
In other words, they would be able to read any book, really assimilate what is says, discard what does not seem useful to you and keep what you think makes sense.
Yet, this premise is forbidden in Scientology. In fact the books already evaluate what you should get, such as:
work becomes easier, your abilities as OT will expand, you will be more able, etc… Thus one can conclude they sit down and read that book with a fixed idea and, consequently, they do not maintain their own judgment when doing so.
Cult big time.
Cece says
Yes, Sylvia. Scientologists can’t apply when/if they read anything outside LRH or their insides. They can’t think to know they are doing this. Very brainwashed and so much of the way were told/promised Scientology was not and was fixing. Well it’s f-i-x-e-d alright. I do believe more and more as waking up as we watch 🙂

Given that, I sometimes wonder why we can be so allergic to making mistakes. It isn’t because we are PT fucking Ess, it is because we are learning. That’s my take on it anyway. So if you want to make a difference, be sure to get all info to the MAA so real help can be found ………….. for your poor loser _______.”

How could he possibly organize nearly 250,000 employees (who all make a decent living) without implementing LRH policy in his business?

Don’t blame DM & Co. for trying to solve an unsolvable problem. 😉 Well, only solvable if DM were to shut down the criminal enterprise known as Scamology and tell all about El Con.
OT VIII was to be the first REAL OT level per El Con. It was one with a publicly declared, EASILY verifiable E.P. Of course it didn’t deliver. Although one of the L’s had a verifiable SuperDuper power EP that was false too.

Mike W, so for the past 30 years David Miscavige has ONLY been perpetuating the con about OT 9, 10 and above as a matter of good faith, only to solve what would be such a huge problem for OTHERS – not out of any self interest on his own HIS part, mind you, but for no other reason than love and concern for his trusting flock, people who would have been shattered and possibly never recovered if, back in the day, they knew the truth.
Out of pure love and compassion for the fragile sensibilities of his trusting flock, this Good Shepherd has shouldered the burden of this shocking truth for 3 decades, working tirelessly to ensure that no one ever finds out or even suspects it, for well he knows that the truth would shatter them, they might never recover, and his love for them is such that he cannot bear to inflict this pain.
My, my! “Nobilty, thy name is Miscavige.” Hard to believe such altruism still exists in this naughty world 🙂

Aqua, I think you need to understand what the “winking” emoticon is for… Also, I said he could have solved the problem is a different (and obviously more ethical way as I suggested)
🙂

Thanks MW, I get it, honestly. I was just riffing, so to speak. No dig at you intended. Its just that from what you shared I became caught up for a bit in the – what’s the word – the enormity of the OT 9 and 10 Con that has been perpetuated for decades. You and I and all of us here and elsewhere posting about the cult have digested this, and we’re almost blase about it by now, but these sheeple will sustain an enormous shock when they find out – the die hard sheeple, I mean. For a while, I looked from that viewpoint. And, certainly, I agree that DM could have handled it the ethical, honest way, but then he would have had to work for a living 🙂

Aqua, what is interesting is that for a while after El Ron died, DM thought there WERE OT levels above 8 being hidden by Pat B. Remember Pat was the one who went on stage and told people about this. I don’t know how long it took for DM (Marty & Mike might know the time line) to figure out that Pat was lying. So, we have a period of time after the death where DM really thought he would have something to sell.

I’d be interested to see what this art that can erase hatred looks like. If they’re not doing space ships or aliens, most Scientology visual art looks to be LRH portraits-as-Buddha or something. And they certainly can’t do music, despite having Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke among their fold.
It’s like the standard Hubbard story….”Oh, yass, I designed women’s clothing….it was the sensation of the Paris Fashion Week…Had to work under an alias, of course…Oh, could I show you a sketch? Well, I don’t know if I can…someone might steal the design..hahaha…Well, here’s an idea…”
(Pigeon shows sketch to FIT, who not only has no idea of where they’ve seen it before, but roundly dismisses it as amateur work…”very first year”.)
“Oh, you know, they’re all fags in that school. Fags and harpies. Jealous of me….Now in the Upper Effendi, I…”

“I can testify to what UNICEF means to children, because I was among those who received food and medical relief right after World War II,” said actress Audrey Hepburn on her appointment as a Goodwill Ambassador in 1989. “I have a long-lasting gratitude and trust for what UNICEF does.” As a result of her work for UNICEF over subsequent years, that gratitude is mutual.

If it’s like WTH or their anti-drug campaigns, it must be expertly designed to accomplish the exact opposite of what it purports to do.
So the art that can erase hatred must be the kind of thing that can make a perfectly happy and content individual suddenly feel like punching people and kicking puppies.
