To everyone who visits this blog, I wish you all a wonderful 2018 and thank you for your support in 2017. It has been a year filled with accomplishments we might never have thought possible a year ago today. I am expecting the same in 2018... May each of your hopes and aspirations meet with success in the coming year. I share below a few quotes that inspire me for the coming year: Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering, "It will be happier." --Alfred Lord Tennyson I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past. --Thomas Jefferson It i … [Read more...]

OT VIII Crazy
This is totally wacky. Susan Freilich is certainly entitled to express her "wins" any way she wishes. She can be cray-cray and as long as she doesn't hurt anyone, who really cares other than those who have to deal with her directly in the real world. Something like this has got to make you wonder -- hundreds of thousands of dollars and thousands and thousands of hours to become (or remain - she might have been this way all along) so out of touch with reality. But the organization is another thing. THIS is the "success story" they choose to promote? Wow. It says a lot … [Read more...]
Life is So Much Better Since I Left Scientology
It's SaTerraDay Life is So Much Better Since I Left Scientology At First Scientology used to be fun—at least back in the day when I got involved. Everyone was young and looking to hook up. We’d go dancing at clubs after course. People threw parties in cheap rentals on the weekends. We’d get naked and sit in hot tubs under the stars— and if we didn’t have to be on course the next day, we’d drink wine and beer. After a while, so many people were getting married, my significant other and I talked about budgeting money for wedding presents. The OT Levels were pie in the sky, the local Mission w … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies
Many apply few are chosen Right.... I guarantee there has not been a single person apply for staff in scientology in the last 10 years who has not been "chosen." Not one. Help your business explode in 2018 Sure thing Quentin. You are an expert on building businesses having been in the SO for 40 years. BTW, not sure that exploding businesses are a thing. What is really sick about the IAS... People actually believe the money they hand over "is being used to save lives, save the planet and forward the goals of scientology" - the ONLY … [Read more...]
“It works every time because it was written by LRH”
This is an amazing piece from Jeanie Franks/Bogvad's current husband. It is a distillation of how fundamentalist scientologists view the world and their role in it. First off for every good scientologist, an "LRH quote" must set the stage and prove to everyone how "On-Source" you are. It is proudly proffered, without irony, to demonstrate that one is "with the program" as a true scientologist and thus can think for themselves. This one especially picked to be used to overcome sales barriers. "I don't have any money for that auditing you say I need" is responded to with "You are just … [Read more...]
Dave’s Christmas Vacation
Well, no surprise to see the Diminutive One show up in S. Africa for the perfunctory ribbon yanking of a second "ideal" building to add to the empty Joburg org just down the way... Why would the "ecclesiastical leader of the scientology religion" fly 12,000 miles to South Africa two days before Christmas and schedule the "New Year's" event for 16 December, two weeks before New Years? Best answer: because he planned a little vacation for himself in S. Africa. What a great opportunity to make a trip to the furthest reaches of earth, away from the pesky media, courts and whistle-blowers … [Read more...]

A Very Scientology Christmas Carol
A special essay from Terra Cognita for the holidays. For any unfamiliar with Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" I include a synopsis from Wikipedia at the end of this post. A Very Scientology Christmas Carol David Miscavige would make the perfect Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dicken’s, A Christmas Carol. L.Ron Hubbard would of course play the part of Jacob Marley, his deceased business partner who comes back to haunt him. I cast Mike Rinder to play the Ghost of Christmas Past; Tony Ortega to play the Ghost of Christmas Present; and Leah Remini to play Ms. Christmas Yet to Be. A sl … [Read more...]
Scientology Apps
It's SaTerraDay once again... Scientology Apps Imagine a future world in which people’s cell phones were loaded with an array of laser-precise Scientology applications. Now picture these apps connecting automatically with a vast air-conditioned server farm located on the edge of the Mojave Desert—affectionately known in management circles as Sci-Cloud. We’re not talking science fiction. This technology has existed for years. Why hasn’t David Miscavige and his church jumped on this tech already? Staying Clean in the Twenty-first Century The second most useful app (we’ll get to the fi … [Read more...]
