This week we have the pleasure of speaking with whistleblower, investigator, researcher and friend Jeffrey Augustine. Jeff does great work tracking and exposing scientology, especially in the realm of financial crimes. This episode contains a rundown of scientologist criminals and their legal troubles and the juxtaposition with the public claims of scientology being the most ethical group on earth. Jeffrey has a website where he documents his investigations, it is an incredible resource: The Scientology Money Project He also does the Surviving Scientology Radio … [Read more...]

Atlanta: 10X x 0 = 0X
You probably remember when the poster above was being used everywhere. Miscavige flew into Atlanta and yanked his ribbon there in July 2016. Nearly 5 years ago. According to Hubbard, within a few weeks it should have been St. Hill size and then continued to expand exponentially from there. They have had more than plenty of time to accomplish their "10X expansion across their zone." Of course, when you are a zero to begin with, 10X is still zero and that is what you see in Atlanta. In fact, all of Georgia. And Mississippi and South Carolina. Not even a mission anywhere in sight. … [Read more...]
The Great Wisdom of Ron
Every day, Tony Ortega has a piece of Hubbard wisdom from the same date in history. The one from May 28th struck me. “Now, you’re a registrar and somebody is coming in, or you’re signing up PCs. (All of you have to wear a registrar’s hat at one time or another.) And you’re trying to get somebody to get some auditing, you’re a registrar, see? And there you are one fine day with a yow-yow-yow and a scream-scream-scream standing in front of your face: Seventy-five hours of auditing have been delivered — he feels terrible! He says, ‘Oh, I could kill everybody in the place,’ and he ought to go out … [Read more...]

Shameful Scientology “Religious Arbitration” Destroying Justice
Anyone who paid attention to the Masterson case Preliminary Hearing last week got a glimpse of the triggering experience of recounting a rape for the victims. After hearing their testimony, Judge Olmedo ordered that Danny Masterson to stand trial for rape. The role of scientology in the matter was not lost on her. Which makes the order of Judge Kleifield in the civil court virtually next door even more egregious. The same women who testified as victims in the criminal case are also plaintiffs in a civil suit. Their civil case was filed before the criminal charges were announced, when … [Read more...]
Chicago has 2 Pallets of Dead PC Folders
Chicago is on the runway for a Miscavige Ribbon Yanking ceremony. Woohoo.... But of course, before then they have to get their mountains of backlogged filing in order. They've got something I have never heard of before. Pallets of "Deceased PC Folder switch out" to do? 2 pallets worth? That seems like a lot. Guess the aging population of scientologists in Chicago are shuffling off their mortal coils with some regularity. But what is a "switch out" in this context? I have no idea? Are they making new folders for the dead people? Why? Once again, this highlights the unworkability of … [Read more...]
Episode 42: Listener Questions Part 5
We answered more "Listener Questions" this week. These are some of our favorite episodes and we really appreciate the questions people send in. This one was especially fun and I think you all will enjoy it. We talk about the last chapter of Hubbard's life which is documented in the Epilogue of Lawrence Wright's brilliant Going Clear. This is an excerpt detailing what Steve Pfauth, one of the handful of people with Hubbard at the end of his life had to say. We talk about Hubbard's succession and mention the issue appointing Pat and Annie Broeker which Miscavige had … [Read more...]
Danny Masterson — DJ Donkey Punch
The news from Los Angeles that the Danny Masterson Preliminary Hearing resulted in the judge ordering him to stand trial for rape was more than welcome. It was a relief to know the victims have finally been heard and taken seriously. It was also long overdue. Tony Ortega did a magnificent job of reporting over 4 days of the hearing. It was amazing the level of detail he was able to take down and relay to all those unable to attend in person. My message to the 3 women who took the stand: Brava. Brava. Brava. And Brave, brave, brave. It takes guts to testify before a court under any … [Read more...]
Oh, The Irony
Programming note: Regraded Being will return next week,. Given the events of yesterday with the end of the Masterson Preliminary Hearing (and the news he is going to face trial) I felt it was important to keep that post available. Scientology mouthpiece in Clearwater, Pat Harney, was scheduled to give the Invocation at the Clearwater City Council meeting this week. It is part of a rotational system where different faiths are invited to do their thing. Of course, Pat was at a disadvantage as scientologists don't pray. They don't have any set belief in God, and they certainly don't ask God … [Read more...]
Scientology Tells Another Big Lie or Two
The prosecution of Danny Masterson is becoming a predictable nightmare for David Miscavige and scientology. Forced into making a public statement after damaging testimony in the Preliminary Hearing, scientology resorted to its time-honored tradition and lied. Not just a little lie. A big, bold, easily disproven denial. They rely on the fact that most are uninformed about their actual practices, and that the vast majority of people think when someone makes such an emphatic statement, they could not possibly be lying. Sociopaths use the good nature of the vast majority of people who … [Read more...]
