Everyone knows scientology hypes their sheeple. But even the most glazed-eyed KSW nazis must be skeptical of the ridiculous statements they spew out. Look at the below. The guy who announced he was coming in to take over Valley "ideal" org to "boom it" and then never showed up, is going to give a seminar. Along with his son. Who also will not join staff in the org. This org, as they loudly promoted, is the largest Class V Org in the world (based on square footage) -- and yet they are saying "limited space." Does anyone believe this? This is one of the promotional … [Read more...]

Hawking Hubbard Fiction
Our old friend, Clearly Not Clear, sent this to me with some comments…. I'm looking at the writers of the future 7 books set. It seems to suggest that 89 of these stories won awards. I doubt it. I wonder what awards they did win? Since nobody wants to buy 7 year old anthologies, they include "advice for new writers." This is somebody's bright idea. Well, it's really not a very bright idea in my opinion. Now, can we talk about Battlefield Earth on audio? Seriously 150,000 sound effects? Was that like the stat of the week? How many sound effects and farts can I record to be in screaming af … [Read more...]
Episode 54: The Sea Organization Deep Dive with Hana Whitfield
Hana Whitfield is such a pleasure to talk to. One of the nicest, kindest people I have had the pleasure of knowing, she is also one of the most interesting. She helped us on The Aftermath, appearing on the episode "The Life and Lies of L. Ron Hubbard" (S2 E 13). Hana joined the Sea Org before it was the Sea Org (it was originally named the Sea Project) in 1967, and went on to Captain various Sea Org ships and bases. We do a deep dive into the early years of the formation of the SO, her recollections of Hubbard, his "Mission Into Time" and much more. Hana was a highly trained scientologist … [Read more...]
Still Trying to Milk The Pandemic
It appears this is the only thing they have going on inside the bubble. Trying to hype people about what they did last year spraying Defcon 7 (or whatever it was) in some police stations in South Africa. They are giving themselves a pat on the back for "protecting our churches, our staff and our communities." That is a questionable claim. But, they did collect millions of dollars on the basis of needing money to pay their "staff" though it's unlikely any of it actually went to the staff (who are denominated as "volunteers" to avoid labor laws and thus do not in fact get "wages"). But … [Read more...]
Why Columbus?
This was the Re: Line of the Email. Why Columbus? Good question, and it is certainly not answered in this promotional item.... Everything except the "Buckeye Cafe" is what every "ideal org" supposedly has. Columbus claims they are a "Fully manned org" -- what they are not saying is that Columbus is "Fully manned" by Sea Org members who were sent there because there were no qualified staff in the place and they had to do a "Grand Opening." The Sea Org members were sent to "replace themselves" and they have not done so. There isn't any real public in the org so nobody to … [Read more...]

STAND League Goes After Another Journalist
The champions of free speech lash out at another journalist who said something they didn't like. In fact, his article takes the NY Times to task over its puff piece on Rebecca Minkoff -- excerpt below: Fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff is a member of a religious cult. She reveals in today’s New York Times that she’s a practicing Scientologist. This is a smart, talented woman raised Jewish. I wouldn’t buy one more thing from her if it was on sale, discounted, or free. She’s crazy. “I think there’s a lot of confusion when people hear the word ‘religion’ — immediately you hear that I pray to … [Read more...]
Scientology Safe Pointing in DC
Our friend ISNOINews provided another interesting article that I felt was more important than being left as a comment on a disrelated topic. This is a lengthy article by Alex Rubinstein on a recent event held in Washington DC that scientology participated in. Alex has some fairly extensive mentions of scientology in the article, which I have excerpted below. The entire article can be found at the link above. Using a friend’s company on my application and adopting a fake persona, I attended a three-day summit on religious freedom where leading figures … [Read more...]
Episode 53: Listener Questions 7
Our next episode of Listener Questions. Always some of our favorite episodes, and as usual, though we cover a lot of ground, we didn't get through nearly all the questions you have sent in. This time we try our best to answer questions about who does the Fair Gaming, what is CCHR, how scientology views the disabled, what PTSness is, The Duke of Chug, scientology's sense of humor and much more. Leah and Mike even act out what happens in an auditing session. It's a lot of fun and hopefully informative. Dealing with Critics of Scientology What is … [Read more...]
Fundraising Olympics
Well, perhaps there is some truth in scientology advertising after-all. If there was a fundraising Olympics, they would gold in every event. The Buy Now Sprint. The Marathon. The Hard Sell Hurdles. The Crush Regging Relay. The Credit Card High Jump. Of course, the people who copyright, trademark and service mark everything, because they don't want any "unauthorized" use (ie where they don't collect any money) have no problem using a clear rip-off of the Olympic symbol (the real one has 5 rings, not 7). Can you imagine if someone opened a center and called it Scinetology -- they would be … [Read more...]
