I came across this on the STAND website. As with everything they ever utter, it is laced with falsehoods. What is the Scientology position regarding litigation? During the history of the Church, some individuals sought to make money from unfounded allegations, but the Church successfully defended against those claims. Well, not exactly. Julie Christofferson won a massive judgment, so did Larry Wollersheim. The family of Lisa McPherson extracted a lrge settlement, so did many victims of Narconon. Litigation involving Churches of Scientology in America is virtually nonexistent today. Only … [Read more...]

LA is on the Verge of a Moral Revival
So they finally admit that the numerous previous fundraising efforts that brought about "mass distribution" of WTH in LA accomplished nothing. They are now going to begin bringing about the revival. Here is what their press release says: Los Angeles is on the verge of a moral revival, and Artists for a Better World International (AFABW) is leading the way! The dynamic LA-based non-profit is creating a buzz by distributing The Way to Happiness, a common sense guide to better living. According to AFABW’s President, Barbara C., the response to the custom-printed covers of The Way to H … [Read more...]

L. Ron Hubbard: The Metteya (New Buddha)
This is quite strange. Scientology no longer publishes Hubbard’s Hymn of Asia for obvious reasons… Hubbard was never one to hide his light under a bushel. Pronouncing himself a doctor, nuclear physicist, war hero, master mariner, great philosopher, musician, photographer, cinematographer and more, he also claimed he was the second coming of the Buddha. He wrote a poem called Hymn of Asia supposedly to be presented to a Buddhist convention in the mid 50’s. In this book he claims the Buddha is to be reincarnated in 1950 as a golden/red-haired Westerner. Wonder who that could be? The book … [Read more...]
Scientology in India
This promo piece prompted me to re-emphasize something I have said many times in the past. The idea that scientology is "clearing the planet" is a farce. The two most populous nations on earth -- India and China -- do not have a SINGLE scientology org between them. They are not making ANY Clears, and don't even have the ability to do so. Recently, India with 1.417 billion inhabitants, overtook China (1.412 billion) -- between them they account for 35% of the earth's 7.95 billion people. If you add Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, Russia, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Egypt -- all … [Read more...]
