With no public in the orgs (or afraid that if they shoot anyone they call in specially to appear in a video they might be found to be a disaffected/SP before the video can be edited and shown) Golden Era IN LOS ANGELES — the largest single community of Scientologists on this rapidly clearing planet — has resorted to paying actors to make it appear there are people in orgs for EVENT VIDEOS.
How ironic is this?
To convince Scientologists that things are really swell in the orgs (all orgs except the one they happen to be sitting in of course) they are paying actors to PLAY Scientologists to show to Scientologists so they believe there are actually Scientologists in OTHER orgs.
Mary N. says
Recently, ex Scientologist, Valerie Haney stated that she made her escape by hiding in the trunk of an actor hired for a Scientology video. My question is, why does Scientology hire outside actors? Don’t they have enough actor wanna be/slaves they can use for free? Hiring outsiders makes zero sense!
Mike Rinder says
BEcause as soon as one of those scientology actors leaves, they are left with a movie they can no longer show. Jason Beghe was in a LOT of scientology films. Dan Koon was the star of the ONLY film L. Ron Hubbard himself directed. Plenty of other examples. They know that eventually people leave scientology.
Mary says
Ah, that makes perfect sense. Thank you for the clarification.
Mary says
A good example was the late actor, Steven Boyd. In the 1960’s, he was an avid Scientologist, who reached OT VII. He did a short film for them. Then, for whatever reason, he split with Scientology. All copies of him film were apparently destroyed by the CoS. There is supposedly one existing copy in the Library of Congress. That definately validates your explanation.

I can’t wrap my head around why Scientology is allowed to print lies… Oh yes… That’s right… Conservative envangelicals and creationism.
I love dogma, really i love cracking the eternal whip on error, but creationism is clearly sin.
Look at what kind of sin is lurking under the constitutional rights of the churches.
I really hope the people looking for eternity, on the wrong path, come to see that ancient dogma is really all we need. No use for convoluted rhetoric, backsliding is also a sin.
It’s cool to believe in eternity without joining an organization.

I guess Org Staff must have rushed to participate, since this represents more than their annual income.

It’s not just promo videos, it’s live events. They did this at the IAS weekend in England one year (2010?) for DM’s big speech, it was spotted by SPs who suggested that spies might apply next time.
Next year they handed out free tickets to local non-scientologists, but we guessed that was only going to work once!

Hey, $150 is $150……….

Know what the scariest part is? They aren’t filming in LA. Look at the address of the filming:
Shoot/Performance Location
Golden Era Productions Film Studio
19625 Gilman Springs Rd.
San Jacinto CA 92583
They are asking these actors to got UP TO THE INT BASE! Now THAT’s scary! What a great Halloween trick! Trick or treat! You can’t leave!! Please actors, don’t do it!
I had a horrific dream about 2 years ago. I’m on a bus going somewhere to do something to help the org. Could very well have been a photo shoot. Lots of people on the bus.
When I got there, the bus pulled around to somewhere in the back of the nice buildings – seemed like near a barn or that kind of building. The bus went down a steep driveway of dirt, underneath an office or studio building.
People were told to get off the bus and follow the driveway down to the bottom and take the next ramp down further. I couldn’t see the end of it and I realized that, if I went down there, I would never come up.
Through some very clever finessing, I got the person to let me leave before they chained the door. I said that I knew someone in the building and they asked for me to come by. I was terrified until the minute I got a ride with someone who was going back to LA.
But, if you dare go up there for the shoot, lovely out’ers, It should be very interesting. Just don’t get caught.

Never ending source of Movie Scientologist actors are from casting agencies in Hollywood.
Upstairs from my shop was a casting agency and the most memorable day was a casting call for 200 Bimbos. They all went to my shop asking for directions, Whew Oh Brother.
But they would get anyone, anything, Zombies,Gangsters, lions, tigers ( in cages)
you name it. Pay was around a hundred bucks a day, one fifty plus thirty for gas is about right for a make believe Scientology promo flick. That’s show business. .See ARGO
with Ben Affleck for more “R”.

Had to comment right away. What a find this article is! “$150 and $30 gas”. Hell, if this sort of thing was going on back when I was in I would have taken the $150 and waived the gas, knowing I’d be getting plenty of that at the event.
As usual, I’m cracking up. Thanks for my Cynical Commentary Fix, you Unemployed Blogger on the Fringe of the Internet, you 🙂
Now I’m going to read the comments.

We in RTC ordered Golden Era to hire wog actors to play Scientologists because all of the real Scientologists are too busy handling the unprecedented highest ever boom of new publics flooding into all of the new 172,044 new Ideal Orgs.
On average, 3,208 new people are flooding into the Ideal Orgs every hour or everyday.
This boom is so unprecedented that all Ideal Orgs are now 282x Old St. Hill size and that number keeps getting bigger and bigger.
If your particular Org is not booming it is entirely your fault. You are to blame. COB has done everything needed to boom the Orgs and yet you sit there with evil purposes reading hate websites and and making COB wrong.
Can’t you see the outpoint?
You suck and yet COB is wrong!
The nerve of you people!
By way of helping — and we in RTC are the only one’s who can help — we have acted to dispel a few myths about COB RTC David Miscavige: http://otviiiisgrrr8.com/2013/10/23/we-in-rtc-dispel-a-few-myths-about-david-miscavige/

Oh Good Grief!
We people read hate websites and make COB wrong?
If he was such a great leader and wise beyond all wogs, how could silly wogs reading websites make him wrong?
I think maybe you got a cart before the horse. He is not wrong because we are reading some websites. He is wrong because he is a psychopathic monster who destroys families in the pursuit of lying, cheating and stealing money from as many people as he can.
If you want to debate the rightness or wrongness of the little tiny monster, just answer these questions:
1) How much money have you given to this phony religion?
2) How much money do you owe to credit card companies?
3) What do you know about declaring bankruptcy and once bankrupt, how will you ever pay for medical services.
I think maybe the little leader has done snatched you by the short hairs.

I most certainly did not know that.
I likewise did not know that satire is written by Jeffrey Augustine. I hope that is not supposed to be a secret. I recognized his style when I visited his website.
So, I must apologize and take back everything that I said. I really thought he was being real. Dumb old me!
Apologies to all concerned.
Also, to anyone who is interested in great satire, that web site is truly fabulous.

How’s about that: hired help get more pay than people who actually work for the org.
These actors will of course also be counted as members of the cherch [sic]. How many members are there now? Elleventy billion and fifty three..?
ThetaPotata says
That is a great point, those dedicated S.O. members would have to work 100+ hours a week for over 2 months to get the same financial exchange as the Wog actors for 1 day of being a body in the shop.

Funny, I don’t find this shocking. For nearly 20 years Scn has been about appearances; style over substance. They don’t have to BE successful, just have to APPEAR to be successful. They don’t have to BE winning, just LOOK that way.
Post-IRS, DM changed the course of Scn, the destination: Middle/Upper Class, mainstream. So, you gotta look the part. Look at any official church promotional video over the past 20 years and what do you find? Beautiful people, professional hairstyling, perfect teeth, college educated, professionals. Borne from the land where MEST rules, you are what you drive, the world of beautiful people surgically created. Scn has become some grotesque Frankenstein and DM the mad scientist.
DollarMorgue says
I’m not shocked that it’s about appearances. I’ve known that since the opening ceremony when the castle was “finished” at St Hill in the 80s.
What shocked me was the fact that they no longer use Scientologists. I’ve been to a couple Golden Error shootings, and was happy to contribute to the group’s portrait. But the above is not simply an admission of outright lying, it also exhibits utter contempt for the staff and public who remain. THAT is what shocks me most of all, even though I know it is just business as usual.
Aquamarine says
Excellent comment, Statpush.

My favorite DM/RCS metaphor is Oscar Wilde’s “Portrait of Dorian Grey”, where the man stays admirably young and handsome while his portrait, which he hides, gradually becomes uglier and uglier, the visual representation of his own evil soul.

At Flag they use OOTs to do their acting for them without getting paid. I remember doing a bit of acting there with a whole bunch of other trainees. “Walk over in direction carrying a meter case with enthusiasm and a smile on you face” And so on. Common occurrence actually, and paying for a good looking actor to do some acting, well fair enough then because that’s what the church does, Pretend.

I wish I had an email list of all the Scientologists in the LA Area and some lead time. So I could send them this. Real Scientologists pretending to be actors who are pretending to be Scientologists (kind of mind boggling.) Of course after the gig they would be encouraged to sign the back of the check and donate the money to the IAS.
This whole thing reminds me of a Snake Eating itself starting at the tail. More evidence of the death spiral.

I was off on a trip to Amsterdam and just happened to pass the Scientology building that is right in the centre of the city and in a highly populated area, LOADS of foot traffic. The ground floor was completely empty, just a big vacant bookstore. There were a couple of folk on the first floor working at desks and then no one in the floors above – just tumbleweed. No wonder they need to pay actors to pretend the orgs are busy. I passed it several times and each time, the same observations could be made. The org is a few hundred yards from Dam Square…the busiest place in the city, yet it might have been a few hundred miles for all they seemed to care.
remoteviewed says
Maybe they should start selling pot to increase their body traffic 😉

I like the 18 – 40. Most of the people in the “church” are over 40 and their children, because so very few new adults have come in over the last decade. People in their 20’s and 30’s are too busy and financially strapped to do Scientology. And they know how to use the internet.
Idle Morgue says
Scientology – the “science” of creating an illusion so it can trap you into its claws and fleece you out of every dime you have by lying to you about what it can do for you and what it does for others…
Scientology takes the money it extorted from you and hires people to create an illusion so it can trap others into its claws and fleece them so they can use those funds to fight you with harassment and lawsuits because you just found out that it was all an illusion and you are speaking out against the crimes.
Scientology – the science of twisting the truth in the best interest of its leader, COB, David Miscavige, who beats people, drinks scotch daily, lies to its members, shatters his own family, hides behind a “corporate ball of confusion so as to not get caught”, does not get auditing, does not train or read the books, does not help anyone but himself by using the money he fleeced out of members to live a lavish lifestyle hidden from the members!
Scientology – the science of lying, illusions, entrapment, human rights violations, extortion, bribery, negligence and money laundering.
Scientology – the science of convincing members that NON PROFITS don’t show their books – when they do. It is SOP in the WOG WORLD for all non-profits.
Scientology truly is the only game where everyone loses…even Scientology. It is a criminal organization that hides behind a religious cloak! It’s leader is bat shit crazy and abuses everyone around him.

Hey wait a minute! I don’t see anything about catering…..
Oh there it is “rice and beans provided.”
Guess they’re running out of “real” Scientologists in tinsel town.
I’m wondering what about TC babe. Where’s Kirstie? What about Ribissi?
Could have a shot of Tom literally driving people into the Org like they kept saying he was going to do. Kirstie at reception (‘course they have to modify the reception area so as they could fit her in there) and Ribissi doing narration then have members of the OT Committees as extras playing the pliable public (they wouldn’t have play too hard) coming for “services” or to be implanted by the A/V system.
Mike,
This casting call is just a new wrinkle they’ve added likely due to the fact that they’re getting low on SO fodder at the Base to play the nicely dressed well heeled public that they want but really doesn’t exist in LA.
Any shoot I’ve ever seen done by Gold pretty much excluded the actual public here who usually show up in jeans and Tshirts or even sweats despite their efforts at ethnic cleansing.
(They once tried passing a “dress code” here similar to Flag’s that basically caused a student revolt. Seems their efforts to make everyone look like a “sales associate” for “BestBuy” failed miserably.
I even suggested after that fiasco to one of those “cold chrome hard as steel” SO members that they should actually do an ethnic survey of the LA area. Ya know like it says in policy but it seems they weren’t interested because they already had an idée fixe of who their public should be not what they actually are in this town where even the super rich wear tattered denim ( of course they pay 500 bucks at True Religion for getting the same look that most of us can achieve by wearing and washing our Levis till they fall apart) except maybe Tom Cruise who dresses like a Nordstrom’s manikin.
Anyhoo….)
It seems that most of the public aside from being sick of the “shoddy substitute” they call “Standard Tech” was probably (like I was) getting sick of various efforts to socially engineer them.
So now they have to resort to a casting call to get the public they’ve always wanted.
Ironic is right, Mike.

This stuff is true and happens all the time. Years ago, now, we were told to come into our local Mission to sit in a courseroom to make it look ‘full and busy’. And we at that time, were inactive, Freeloaders and they still asked us and all the relatives of the Public to come in and pose for the shot. My husband did so, but very relunctantly and loudly protested to everyone in the courseroom how this was so ‘fake’ and shouldn’t have to be done in the first place…lol. I’d love to find that pic in one of the mags or Events sometime..

Doh. I thought it was 150 bucks an hour, not for the entire shoot. Who the hell is going to risk ruining their lives for those peanuts? Marie should do a sweep of downtown LA, put them through make-up and costumes and they’ll have wine money for days.
remoteviewed says
Dan,
150 bucks an hour is usually for photo shoots for anorexic models.
Actually a full day shoot for an movie extra in this town is about 100 bucks a day and all ya can eat from the catering truck.
Making it a cool gig for starving actors going for their SAG card hoping they’ll be able to say those magic three lines that’ll put ’em in the Guild.
So if the going rate is a Benjamin (unless it’s Film School amateur time where they just get a credit) and no traveling expenses then one can see that the Church is *desperate*.
dankoon says
Marie Bystrom must be the Talent Chief nowadays. I wonder if appearing as a Scientologist is the kiss of death for aspiring actors? But that 1200 bucks must be pretty enticing. Maybe some Anonymous types should answer the call and liven things up at the shoot.

Can they get people to even show up for the casting call? Scientology’s reputation couldn’t be worse. Even if you desperate for paid work, this could ruin your career. Who wants to end up like Tom Cruise?
Rick Mycroft says
$150 + $30 gas, and you don’t put it on your resume.
poisonivyherself says
Out of work actors are out of work actors. They need work. This is really an extras rate they are paying, not day player rates, and clearly it is non-union.
I wonder if this is for some extravaganza to be shown at L’Affaire du Tente?

Aquamarine says
“Even if you desperate for work, this could ruin your career”.
Who would know? There are no credits for the actors in these films, and no way these internet-savvy young actors put it on their resume. Doing extra work for the RCS has to somewhat shameful for them, I would think. Sort of on a par with porn work, maybe worse.
Rick Mycroft says
The Method actors will be saying “What’s Miscavige’s motivation?”
Chris Mann says
I bet after guys like Michael Fairman and Larry Anderson left Miscavige wrote some sort of internal Gold policy that Scientologists are no longer to be used in videos, films etc.
Aquamarine says
Right, and they may even have a policy of using each extra only once. I could believe that.
Steve Poore says
Shameful and Pathetic! actually, SHAM-FULL is more like it, or SHIT-FULL. Can this Shit really be piled any higher?

This reminds me of when after the Tampa org had opened. I was offered $250 (in Scio $) to spend 8 hours helping with central files. When there, was hijacked into being a prop for pictures they were taking for a few hours. The main photographer was from LA. Then another highjacking by OT’s trying to recruit me which turned into a good lesson learned. I did end up putting in a couple hours of file work. I had to insist and follow up to get the money promised, since they aware of those other tasks being pressured
.
Surly I was shooped out of all the photo’s the next year, but never saw any. Used the money on couple silly courses. It gave me plenty of experience though of how it goes in the cherch that I had been out of for over 25 years.
Cristian Landivar says
in other words the Church of Scientology is really fuck!!!!!!!!
SILVIA says
Desperate measures indeed and hard to believe. Yes, they lack real members and have to hire actors. Now, having millions and millions collected by IAS and what not they could pay a bit more than 150.00
The lies continue and the blind believer buy them…it is going to backfire hard on them.
Richard Grant (@richardgrant) says
Sooner or later it will occur to Davey that he can do fundraising around the idea of paying raw public to come in for services. It can be pitched as an IAS Scholarship Fund or something. No more empty course rooms, and RCS pockets 80% of the haul.
This would work, Dave. I swear it. Have your people call me.
Jose Chung says
What has been done in the past is Scientology public would serve as extras for
D.M.’s movies. Now there is no more public so paid extras are obtained from casting agencies.
I was on lines at FLAG and drafted into a NOTS HGC promo movie.
WE were arranged in the HGC lounge by the Movie director, instructed to move our mouths like we were talking, look enthusiastic and nod occasionally in approval.
I got a commendation added to my ethics file. During the months I was at FLAG
that NOTS HGC was always empty.
True Story
Jane Doe says
Same for me Jose. Public was always being pressed into service to “wear upstat clothing and makeup and come be in the shoot.” This was also done for shoots for an org that I was associated with that was going Ideal Org. The lies and fake people are for the benefit of the Kool Aid Drinkers. This is how DM proves to them that “we are expanding straight up and vertical.” You gotta keep the sheeple believing. It’s so “1984” where they would nonstop show videos and movies with propaganda images.
Ronnie Bell says
I can remember avoiding the Gold film crews like the plague. They had a knack of showing up when you were just about finished with a long evening of course activities, and needed to rush home to get some sleep before work in the morning.
Chris Mann says
I knew they were actors because they were smiling without all the “wax”.
minorron says
Noticed the age range is from 18 to 40.
I guess the COS no longer has older people like myself (60) because they wised up and left or were declared since they can see the difference between the real golden age (time when LRH was at Saint Hill) and the now joke of GAT 1 and soon to come (maybe) GAT 2.
If the kool-aid drinking members saw older people in the audience they would then know that it was being staged.

LDW says
The pic came up for me this time. OMFG! I’m surprised they didn’t add, “must have no prior affiliation with Co$ and must have no prior, present or future association with any Co$ bitter, defrocked apostates.”
Someone posted a comment on Tony’s blog a few days ago about most of the Co$ public being older folks. I noticed they are looking for “good looking, 18-40 year old dupes in their ad. More reactionary BS from davey? Ha! I’ll prove to them we have young, good-looking people in our ideal orgs.
“Lying becomes stupidity,” davey-boy. And You are getting real dumb.
Adjectives which apply: Disingenuous, deceptive, duplicitous, deceitful, dastardly…
SadStateofAffairs says
Well, it would be good if one or more of the actors that participate do have an association with bitter, defrocked apostates, because after the shoot they could give a report with the inside story on the shoot and how it went.
Jane Doe says
If you notice, most cults don’t have older members… they are always young, impressionable, naive kids, college kids or drop outs etc. The older people, for the most part, have more savvy and would see through the B.S. This is why they are directing the pitch to the demographic of 20 to 35 year olds. And same with SO recruiting. They are now going after desperate, young and dumb immigrants who want to get into the US. But if any of these young dupes are lucky enough to make it to the Prisonwinds Ship, their passports are taken from them first thing.
BareFacedMessiah says
I thought the Co$ has so many actors. They could just ask some from the CCs. Where are they?
There should also be enough no-name actors.
Jane Doe says
BFM, Sadly (for the church anyway), even the wanna-be and no-name actors have left the building. And Leah lead the way. You rock, Leah!
Ronnie Bell says
I thought the Co$ has so many actors. They could just ask some from the CCs.
I know some of those wanna-be CC actors. I’ll bet they’re pissed as hell that they can’t get a piece of that action, given that most of them are starving artists without a pot to piss in. Man, that’s gotta sting.

What actor is going to want to have this gig on their resume?!
DollarMorgue says
I was young and needed the money.
1subgenius says
Excellent. I see what you did there.
Aquamarine says
A job as an extra at Gold Base would never be detailed on any aspiring young actor’s resume. These non-Scientologists are on the Internet; they are not ignorant. But they are nobodies trying to make it against huge odds and they need the money to stay afloat, and the RCS probably treats them well. The attractive young women may be relieved that at least this particular extra work does not require their sexual quid pro quo. I’ll bet Gold is swimming in applicants. It is truly disgusting that SO and Class V org staff aren’t seen as fit to be paid at least minimum wage. .

Apparently these shoots are done mostly filmed at Gilman which means that the paid extras are bussed in, which begs the question: Do they notice the spikes facing inward?
MarktheHungarian says
It’s wonderful to know that while the Sea Org members struggle to get $50 in their pockets per week, the Church of Scientology is obviously well aware of the market rate for actors.
Take part in their “shoot” and get paid $150 + $30 gas money for 8 hours work. Why don’t they kill 2 birds with one stone and pay the Sea Org to be there, and be happy?
Is it because they simply don’t have ENOUGH people to fill any venue? If that’s the case, the rate of implosion is speeding up no end.
If Miscavige isn’t insane already, surely he will be before the year’s end.
gato rojo says
MTH, that makes too much sense. Insane people can’t think like that. The man has been 100% insane per anyone’s definition for many many years now.
One thing I have to put my two cents in about is the $50 a week. Every time I see this I cringe and want to do my little rant. Because it ISN’T $50 a week. It’s much less. If you ever really got $50 ($45 with SS taken out) you were ecstatic. It was more like $16.32 or $3.50 any lesser number. Even nothing at all for many weeks in a row–once I went for over 3 months with no pay at all, along with the rest of the crew. People had to use soap because they couldn’t afford shampoo, and some staff lost a lot of weight not wanting to eat rice and beans all the time yet had no money to buy anything else in the little store that sold snacks.
Anyone getting the wonderful PR about the SO….it just ain’t true. It actually never was. Here’s to a speedy implosion and straight up and vertical for the indies, without even trying.
Markthehungarian says
Yes, I also know that $50 is/was/has-always-been a “you can only dream of it” upper bound. Normally it’s around $10. And it’s OFTEN $0.
Zephyr says
Very correct GR,
The few times that $50.00, resp. $45.00 were paid were happy weeks. For the rest of the time there never was a ‘pay back’ even when the Gross Income was really high and could have been done. Despite working about 15 years in the S.O. in the US = no SS pay out.
Slaves rarely get paid well…..unless you are a reg or the Book Store Officer….

Zana says
I think that we should call some of our Scientologist friends… people on staff who need to make some extra money and send them this with enthusiasm and excitement… let them know there is a gig where they can make money and help save the planet at the same time. Then they might begin to understand what is happening here. Let them go on the “audition”… get the job. And be floored by the subterfuge. Maybe that will be a little wake-up call.
remoteviewed says
Hey Gato babe,
Aside from Deceitful Deceptive (plus mentally and physically stunted) Dave was Stark ravin’ Mad Stormin’ Norm Starky was they guy who convinced me to stay as far away from the SO as I could get.
The guy reminded me of the Marine Corp Sarg who got blown away by one of the “maggot” recruits in “Full Metal Jacket”.
Too bad I didn’t take my own advice.
Anyway I started working at AO as Non SO which started out as the Good Ship Lolli Pop and eventually ended up being like the Bounty by comparison after Ivan left and you know who took over for Broeker.
(‘Course I figured that the “SO and the Future” was probably written by Broeker himself but who cared the guy was basically hands off or as we called it Fast Flow Management which was the kind I liked.
Anyhoo…)
Broeker goes down and Dave and the gang issue an SOED accusing Broeker of various “crimes” that he himself actually was planning to commit as it turns out then we’re into the Rocks and Shoals the Ol’man was talkin’ about in that FO with Capt’n Bligh at the helm.
What I’m saying is I’ve had a near SO experience myself. So I know where your comin’ from Rojo Cat.
Hey drop me a line sometime and we’ll do lunch.

It is tough to reckon with but the idea of using non-scn people has been going on for many years. It first started when featured roles were needed and staff couldn’t come off post for so long, or their acting skills were awful. Here and there seeing a “wog” face became acceptable. Then as more staff escaped, and videos/films became unusable or the “SPs” had to be covered up in films and replaced with entirely new people, or the whole film had to be reshot.
One of the more historical projects of this type was taking Gerry Armstrong out of every single shot he was in in LRH’s most important and basic training film about TRs. The one he shot himself to be sure they were shown correctly forever.
Then Dan Koon left–he was the leading role. The whole film was reshot (so I understand–I haven’t seen it) and guess how standard those TRs are going to look with DM as the last approval person for every single shot and the entire edit of the film! That’s the turning point into the nose-dive of utterly suppressive tech.
As a result of a lot of this kind of thing it became a great solution to use non-scn people from the start. I was shocked about 5 years ago when I saw newspaper or online ads for featured roles of winning scientologists. But I was already gone and understood why they had to sink so low. Instead of confront and fix the reasons the people were leaving.
Benjamin says
This is the kind of stuff the kids in Anonymous have been posting on the internet for years and years. I’m so appreciative of this blog for constantly exposing Miscavige’s con. I hope more of the inmates will wake up and blow.
Mary Rathernotsay says
I was so happy when Michael Fairman finally left. Imagine all the film that the CoS then had to edit him out of!
Plus I got tired of watching the poor guy walk blocks to the Org through wind and rain because he couldn’t afford a car. It was one of many red flags that were popping up for me back then.
Carcha says
Benjamin – Scns out of the Co$ appreciate Anons and all their efforts greatly. It’s a mistake for Indies to allow a minority of Anons who would seek to restrict legitimate Scn turn them off to all that Anonymous does. People are very diverse, true of Scns and true of others. Anons who uphold, practice, and work for freedom of speech are spot on, and support the Constitution in spades. That includes my right to study Scn. Life is tough when you have to fight for someone else’s rights and they don’t even see it, but we all (of good heart) do it everyday (well, almost everyday). – Carcha
Dean Fox says
It see it says in house use only. They should also add that footage may appear on Youtube and you may be thought of as a Scientologist actor which doesn’t do fledgling careers much good these days; never really did.
It would be cool to get someone in there though. Wonder if they screen (sec check) people first. Do you harbour any ill will towards the church of scientology or its leader David Miscavige…
Aquamarine says
“Wonder if they screen (sec check) people first”.
I’d bet they have first some kind of questionaire and then if hired an agreement not to open the mouth in any negative way about the cherch. And I wouldn’t think there would be any problem getting it signed, as LA is full of young, beautiful people hungry for work. $150-$200 bucks plus gas could pay a few small bills for some struggling young actors, and then they can be reg’ged to take courses at CC Int. I’d bet that this is a decent source of raw public for CC Int and/or the other LA area orgs and missions.
Mike Rinder says
Its for real
DollarMorgue says
I’m… flabbergasted.
(Finally a chance to use that word.)
Actually, I’m shocked and yet not surprised. I bet the official explanation (PR line fed to the public) would be fascinating.
gato rojo says
1) Of course they’re scientologists–there are so many, you’d never know them all….
2) The ads were placed by SPs to make us look bad (as already suggested in an earlier post)
3) You don’t have the RANK to ask those kinds of questions!!!!!
WhiteStar says
Evidence shows conclusively that the “church’s” area of expertise, the field in which they truly are an authority on is EMBARRASSMENT.
they can write tomes on the many different ways one can shoot themselves in the foot and then stick the bleeding foot into one’s mouth.
nobody does it better, makes me feel sad for the rest.
nobody does it quite the way they do.
baby baby, Davey, you’re the best.
how did you get to be so good?
Peter says
“they can write tomes on the many different ways one can shoot themselves in the foot and then stick the bleeding foot into one’s mouth.”
And immediately repeat when they “explain” the screwup.
Bela says
The ad states, “We can only use an actor for one of these days.”
What? Why would that be? Because they have to show enthusiasm and happiness?
The punchlines to that are endless!
Mike Rinder says
Because they have several different areas to shoot and they dont want to have the same person appear as a fake pc, a fake student, a fake raw meat and a fake staff member….
Bela says
oh! hahaha! I read it as “only being able to use an actor”…did not get it. I still think I probably had it right, however!
WhiteStar says

Jane Doe says
Wow, just when you think it can’t get any lower, it does. If I showed this to any Kool Aid drinkers, they would not be able to confront it. They would say the Squirrels planted this news article and it’ all a plot against DM and Scn. Just for fun, let’s get a bunch of Indies and SP’s to answer the ad and go be in the video. I’m sure some would actually slip through and get in. Then imagine His anger when later he finds out that many of the fake people in the movies are actually disaffected or are Indies or are declared. We could type in a caption saying, “They’re heeeeeere….” like in that old movie when the bad aliens on the tv speak to the little girl and she sayd, “they’re here…”
gato rojo says
LOL…That would certainly be fun, except that the woman posting this and who needs to hire the actors has been at it for well over 10, maybe 12 years now. She knows a lot of the escapees right off the bat. She knows ex-SO, tons of LA staff members, all the Kool Aid actors and public around town. New non-Kool Aid folks in town should go and have some fun if you can get past her. Then go protest somewhere, get right there on any camera available and cause a little resulting havoc to the event production world and especially DM. But beware, if they think it’s an 8-hour shoot it’s probably going to be 16 hours or more!
izzysson says
Years ago, when Tory Magoo wrote about Scientology, calling it “The Truman Show”, she was writing FIGURATIVELY.
It appears that the axiom, SCIENTOLOGY IS ALWAYS WORSE THAN YOU THINK is once again being proven true with this latest revelation that it is LITERALLY BECOMING THE TRUMAN SHOW with paid actors, and scripts. The vacant sets have been in place for a while, having been paid for by “Truman.”

Next DM can export holograms of these “well trained students” and “winning PCs” to save the cost of hiring actors in the future. The course sup could just flick a switch and have a “full” courseroom, saving the cost of promotion or having to deal with any public, and eliminate most of the staff. Next DM can just issue CGI images of Orgs- think of the money saved on mortgages! And those images have MORE substance than DM has management ability….who else can take the efforts of thousands of staff and public and reduce the Orgs to virtually nothing? DM!
