If you didnt see this on my social media yesterday, I recommend you read this piece in AwardsCircuit.com about The Aftermath.
It is pegged to the Emmy nomination for the finale that aired last year (the result will be announced on Monday 14 Sept).
Leah talks about the Danny Masterson case and why we didn’t air the initial episode we shot. She also discusses the Me Too movement and scientology, the STAND League, scientology tax exempt status and much more. Give it a read.

Such a diabolical “religion”, like a real world cartoon villain.
Skyler says
Mike, I just read the second half of Leah’s interview and learned about how your daughter attended an event designed to support abuse victims of the scam and she pretended to be a victim too – but that you were the one who victimized her. Leah explained how there exists a mountain of evidence that you never victimized her and there is something else that is worth far more than that evidence – your character and your conduct since you left that horrible criminal cult.
I’m wanting to write shorter posts to this blog. I look at the posts that other people write and I try to understand why my posts are usually twice as long. I don’t know why.
So, I will just say that nothing about this cult angered me as much as this event did. I don’t know how to describe my feelings about this. It is much more than just anger. I can only imagine how you feel. I want you to know that I feel so very (I don’t know the right word) “joined” with you about this. I can’t imagine how you feel. I hope that one day there will be a (again I don’t know the right word) “Justice day” where you are given some kind of justice and the villains are also given the justice they deserve. You have my deepest compassion. (I used a Theasaurus to find “compassion”).
Komodo Dragon says
Skler, you state that you wish to write shorter posts to the blog, well I for one like your posts just the way they are. You contribute well put together and interesting, informative posts. Please continue your posts as before, I think they are just fine!
Skyler says
So kind of you Komodo. I’d love to see your posts sometime. Thank you so much.

wish I could read/hear the interview, but I keep getting HTTP 502: Server time-out. Is it possible that a little blog on the “far fringes of the InterWebZ” could crash their server?
Skyler Doombrofsky says
Jere,
Here is a slightly different link that may work for you.
https://www.awardscircuit.com/interview-leah-remini-scientology-and-the-aftermath/#comment-146620
It appears to be the same link but actually, it goes to a page that contains the readers’ comments and at the top of the page, it contains the interview. I hope the above link will work for you..

The same thing happened to me this morning jere but I just went a while ago and the site came up.
Jere Lull (40 years recovering) says
Right, Peggy. A little later in the day, their server seems to have been fixed.
vincegfan says
Mine says there is a database error.
Jere Lull (40 years recovering) says
Hey! Isn’t there #metoo movement which should be hounding Danny’s every step? Can that be used to leverage the civil suit(s) against him and FINALLY get the DA to move the case along?
Peggy L says
I went to that site but didn’t see what I needed to do to read the story 🙁 Can anyone help me out?
Skyler Doombrofsky says
Hello Peggy. I would be glad to try to help you.
When you go to that site, perhaps you are expecting to hear the interview using audio. But that is not the way it is set up. If you just scroll down a little bit, the interview is contained in text right on the first page. I got a little confused too. But when I started to read the text on that site, it became obvious the entire interview is contained in the text on that page. No need to click on anything. No need to go to any different site.
Good luck Peggy.
Peggy L says
Thank you Skyler!
Skyler says
I know this comment is irrelevant. But that certainly is a lovely picture of Leah. Don’t you think? I must say I do not know that I’ve ever seen her looking so fine at any time at all during the past ten years.
Whoever took that photo sure did a swell job. So, good for you – whoever you may be! I had recently read Leah had been feeling a little unhappy cuz some jerk made some hateful remarks about her body betan and that it was not as lovely as the rest of her betans. Well, so what? Just show me any lady with body thetans what are indeed as lovely as the rest of her. No? Well, that surely ain’t no surprise (least ways not to Shirley — know what I mean?).
After all, there just could never be some part of Leah that could ever be as fine as her character or her mind. Just think on what she did to further the destruction of this insane murderous cult – and she did it pretty much by herself — with some help from Mike.
And all in all, there ain’t no part of Leah what could ever be as lovely as her character or her mind. I fear it may well be and if so, I apologize to Leah. For what it’s worth, I have always thought she was a hot topic lady – regardless of any of her thetans or her betans.
Jere Lull (40 years recovering) says
Skyler, it MIGHT be irrelevant, but it’s true. That young girl’s beauty and “sparkliness” shine all the way through to the camera’s lens. True beauty.
Loosing my Religion says
A lot of updates. Great. Additionally this nomination keeps light on regarding what you are doing and also informs about the podcast.
People need to know and get informed and interested.
On my side I am having VERY few news from the bubble except some PR crap, like a webminar event for new people in Kosovo or something like this. What a great news. I couldn’t fall asleep.
Mike and Leah please continue so we can avoid Kosovo people from additional atrocities, they got already too much.
George M. White says
Very good interview. Leah has a way of making the main points clear with effective communication.
Geoff Levin says
Excellent interview with Leah. I was at that finale, it deserves an Emmy. Meeting some of the people who told their story’s on the series was a privilege and joy as I knew many of them. I had experienced the pain of extreme mental abuse and gaslighting and on top of that disconnection from both my children. So I am so grateful for the work that you Mike and Leah have done. There are still so many story’s that have not been told. My documentary Brothers Broken is yet to come and shows a different perspective. I’m hoping it will reach a new audience that is still not aware of Scientology’s destructive lies and abuses. In 1968 my brother and I were on top of the world with a hit record on Capitol when we joined scientology. And that’s where the story starts.

Bravo for you, Geoff! Can’t wait to see this. So you did know Jerry?? I’m still mad at him for well, you know…dying. Good luck with the docu.
Geoff Levin says
Thank you. Which Jerry?
Kim says
Garcia…
Geoff Levin says
Yes, I performed with him. Jerry, was a funny guy. No one else like him. He lived for his music.
Kim says
He sure did. I have many fun memories of “touring” with the Dead. 🤣. One of a kind for sure. Still miss him.
Jere Lull(40 years recovering) says
Geoff, there is only ONE Jere.
Kim says
True that ..yup
Jere Lull (40 years recovering) says
Geoff, I welcome every event/show which chips away at the organizations armor, or that causes the tiny tyrant to poop his tiny little diapers.
Jere Lull (40 years recovering) says
IMO, accolades like this for Aftermath are long overdue. Leah, et al should get special HERO awards for having the brass ones to stand up directly to the evil criminal organization and say “That is WRONG!””SHAME on you.” and to say it without anger or rancor. Just the facts.
