I’d like to share a video link on Youtube I ran across last night that really resonates for me on todays posting. Mike I hope you don’t mind, as this video has some clips of you when your were defending and lying on behalf of the Scientology cult. At first glance I thought this video was just all rehash of things I already knew, but I suspected my resistance to it indicated that there was something new for me to learn.
It gave me a look back into the 80’s at Celebrity Center which was when the “baited hook” dangling in front of me began to really take hold. Painful to watch but I came away with some gems that I am still processing the deeper significance of.
Back to the point that relates to todays topic; Scientology cannot change. The same narrative, same story line-but different cast members. The same lies being proffered as an empty excuse for the complete lack of responsibility for it’s actions; The Real Scientology Exposed.
This video reminded me that it is not about Miscavige, (the dedicated sycophant who’s delusion and dedication to Hubbards scam combined with intelligence and determination helped him punch and kick his way to power) but rather the ongoing dramatization of Scientology’s total unwillingness to be responsible from the perspective/principle of cause and effect.
People use Scientology policy to bad a effect and then lies about who did it. The old “GO” was disbanded “those criminals are gone we cleaned house” or lies about the policy itself; “Fair Game” was cancelled, we don’t disconnect people; Disconnection was cancelled see RJ68.
I think it’s fair to say that any Scientologist with a few brain cells could simply stand back, using some of the useful principles that Hubbard repackaged and rebranded (TM) and evaluate the clear contradictions.
Same bullshit, different decade.
I can now fully see and acknowledge that Hubbard was brilliant and calculating and fully intentional in devising a system that entrapped the minds and hearts of his followers.
And it’s his followers who continue to animate and dramatize his shortcomings with utterly stupid persistence.

Loved this post from your blog! As a never-in, it’s always baffled me that, at least earlier on (before the drastic change in culture and fear) more people didn’t demand answers to these questions. EVERY church I’ve ever attended puts out a report to everyone that donates showing exactly where every dollar goes, what the targets are (& why) for the following year, and if there are things that don’t match up with the year before – they explain why.
When my husband and I were being recruited to become involved with Scientology, everything was about communication and how that’s a central tenet and they’re the best at it, yet I’ve never come across a more evasive, noncomminicative group! (Refuse to call them a church these days.)
What you, Mike, Leah & Tony are doing and putting out there is so important. It’s this information that will help those still stuck within start their critical thinking again and get them asking questions, even if just internally. So many gave so much to CO$ and many breaking themselves to do it – so I love seeing how many people you’ve all impacted!

The ED LDNF, Lorraine Bulger, has developed a number of personal celebrity contacts over the years, one of whome was him (along with Robert Plant) who was reportedly looking at purchasing the white property opposite St Hill at the time. No idea how successful she was but she was certainly excited. Plant, on the other hand, she dismissed as ‘too 2D flowy’! (This evidently being enough to disqualify a rock god from being salvaged from an eternity of darkness, pain and misery – they’re not kidding about the select few, are they?!)

2. How come CCHR can’t pay their staff although the IAS always uses CCHR to raise funds.
3. And a special one specific to me. Why don’t scientology recording artists have hit records? After all they have Celebrity Centre behind them and their postulates are more powerful than non-members.

He died poor and unknown in spite of his outstanding talent and abilities.

Great questions. they remind me of being at one of the major events… these are some of the questions that swim up to the surface during or after an event …. especially when one has the after event survey in hand. We ought to do up our own survey and send it back with ever BRE we get.
The last course I ever took in Scientology was the PTS / SP course which I was put on because I was disaffected. This course has a section on how to handle black PR.
The first thing that was obvious to me was that Scientology was not using this policy to handle anything.
The reason why was obvious.
All of this policy operates on the assumption that the Black PR contains lies which the handler then gets to correct.
Most of the “Black PR” I had encountered was essentially true.
Hubbard really did tell a lot of lies about his life.
There really is disconnection.

Rather than keeping me on the straight and narrow (which was the stated purpose of getting me to do it), this course accelerated my journeyh out off Scientology.
