This really requires no comment.
The radical church of scientology has reached its final goal. People who think that giving money to buy buildings is as good as auditing.
And of course, thanks to Mr. Miscavige for making this possible and keeping us Scientologists working for him.
Amazing the things the RCS puts out. Their own statements are so damning.
They have completely lost touch with the reality of the outside world. It seems they are oblivious to how utterly absurd and laughable they are.

Total “herd” mentality, people are followers – not leaders. I have read that people will react only when they see the majority moving in that direction. It is like a herd of zebra. A lion approaches the herd and the those on the outside see it, panic and run, Every zebra now begins to run yet they known not why just that others are doing it. This is the herd mentality and sadly to say – Scientologists are of the herd mentality, other than those who are reading this blog or others are gaining their independent thinking, hopefully.
MJ says
Breppen, a lot of them haven’t ‘herd’ you unfortunately.

Would you like others to give similar amounts of extortion as you did? Would you like to write a success story or see the reg before you do? It’s not mandatory, but highly recommended. If you do I’ll write a commend for your ethics file.
Doug Parent says
It seems to me that somewhere along the way Miscavige may have observed that some people do not feel they can HAVE auditing or DESERVE auditing, or that some people have so many failed purposes on their own spiritual progress that they are willing to donate in hopes that OTHERS may be in a better position to benefit from Scientology than they can. This was something I have observed for many years, that certain people would congregate around other Scientologists, or the Orgs and contribute their time and efforts but never made much progress themselves beyond Student Hat, Pro Tr’s, and other basic courses. But they would donate money if they had it that month while the next new emergency was being trumpeted by IAS Regs. In other words, Miscavige is profiting substantially by keeping people PARKED off the bridge while keeping them revved up by his “we are taking over the field of mental healing” propaganda. Profiting from those who “can’t have gain for self” in other words. Huge source of revenue.

As a never-in I would like to point out that buying buildings IS as good as auditing.
If you buy a building, you have a building. Buildings really exist and can be resold for real money. (Not that it is likely that these people will ever see any of it.)
On the other hand, auditing is designed to address problems which don’t actually exist: engrams and body thetans. If you spend money on auditing it is gone, and nothing real exists in its place.

Dan Locke says
There’s been people saying that about donos ever since they got PR’d into place with the first donations campaign promoted by the Safe Environment Fund in the very early 80’s and then the IAS – years before Miscavige became COB.
The IAS perfected that line of reasoning in all their regular donors. There were guys that would not buy bridge services but would pour tens of thousands of dollars after listening to the IAS briefings and rationale and then donate more. IAS was always regging based off an emergency that they made seem very very real. I talked with the registrars there and they knew exactly what they were doing. And one thing you learned as a reg pretty early on was to never, ever cross an IAS reg cycle. I’ve heard people say things like this dozens of times.
That’s an OK way of thinking if management was ethical and all that money was actually being spent on things that were any good at all. And it was just all what we were supposed to – be “with management”. These were the days when rollbacks started happening in earnest and everyone was on the watch for “disaffection.”
Then you get out and you read Marty and Mike and realize that, for years, we were all just being lied to, and lied to and lied to and lied to and lied to. And we all so dutifully looked the other way as we talked ourselves out of our suspicions that anything was going on that was wrong.
Alanzo says
One of the first guys to escape Int Base and try to tell Scientologists the truth was Gerry Armstrong.
And look what they did to him.
And, in some cases, are STILL doing to him.
I know that I would have never joined staff in a Church of Scientology and worked for them for free had I not been fully lied to about LRH and Scientology. There are many many decisions that I would have never made regarding Scientology had I possessed the truthful information with which to make them.
Just look at what you know now being out, and ask yourself “if this data had been available to me then, would I have done what I did in Scientology? Would I have spent the money I spent? Would I have worked for them for free?”
This is the real reason for the “BubbleThink” that Mike describes every day on this blog. The “Koolaide Drinkers” are being lied to, and information is being withheld from them in a very tightly controlled cult environment, just as it was from us.
We are no more superior to them. We just have the data now that is being withheld from them.
That is why it is so important that we continue to make the truth available to Scientologists, and those newly coming out of the Church, so that these people can finally make informed decisions about their involvement in Scientology.
Alanzo
Aquamarine says
“We are no more superior to them. We just have the data now that is being withheld from them.”
Beautifully stated, Alanzo. True data has bottlenecked Div 6. No-one in their right mind would make an informed choice to come into Scientology. Miscavige handles this by bottling up His Div 2, but the same truths which prevent new people from coming in are what will be emptying his Div 2. .

Good comments, Foolproof and Pepper. I get what you’re saying. Another irony to all this is that I just have to shake my head when I read some public gave Meritorious Magnificent or some very large amount of money to the IAS and then a month later they are declared by Davie. So how did this person go all the way up the Bridge, make it on to and through OT VIII, give all this money to the IAS and now and only now does someone in the church cognite that they are an SP? Seems if they were a true SP, it would have been spotted much earlier, like at ARC SW or something. Just another indicator of the insanity that goes on where now even real SP’s can’t be spotted cuz too many innocents are being labelled as SP’s.
And you are right, Foolproof, that we don’t need to hang on to old statuses, especially when those statuses went to pay for lawsuits and Squirrel Busters to harrass Marty and to do other Black Ops.
Foolproof says
What I have found really quite strange are some, if not most of those people who have left the Church still list their patron status when and after telling their stories of why they left. In other words the group engram of “donations” is still embedded somewhat in their psyches and they are stating their status as if they are still proud of it.Now, I am not criticizing here but just pointing out that that is the last thing I would want people to know – that I have been conned and duped of my well-earned bucks by a gang of scoundrels and that the money I “donated” is being used to maintain and justify this gang of hyenas and squirrels existences (“well, the ‘GI’ is up!”). Now I also realize that many of the stories are written to try and help convince those still “in” to get out and so listing their Patron Status sort of makes out that they are or were “good guys” because they donated huge sums in the past, but really the emphasis I think should be on playing down this status fraud, and not proudly exclaiming it. Stating “OTVIII” or “Class 6 Auditor” is fine, but “Golden Meritorious” or whatever this drivel is should be thought about a bit more before stating it at the end of stories.Don’t you think? It’s great that these people left the squirrel Church but still stating one’s patron status in a way validates the whole criminal scam, as if it was somehow an honorable thing to do, when in fact all it has done is support the current suppressive “management” regime.
Cindy says
Another way to look at it is that they are getting all of the shame off by telling how much they gave to the IAS so that you can ack what a schmuck you were to give it. Or it is a way to ack to what extent the church extorted money from you. Like when you give up drinking and do the 12 steps and you say, “I am an alcoholic” and then one of the later steps is you have to go to everyone you did overts on and make up the damage. By fully looking at how much you gave the IAS and other groups in the church, it is a way to asses the damage, ack it, take respnsibility for it, and move onward and upward from there.
Cindy says
And another thing is when I first read Ken and Evyonne Shick’s story, it really got to me that they had given so much money to the Ideal Org, were head honchos on the OTC, were high on the Bridge and they were now leaving and speaking out. I thought that someone that upstat and high up to say this, well it carried weight with me. It wasn’t just a newbie blowing from MU’s or a newbie with MWH phenomenon. So I liked knowing all that data about them cuz it made what they had to say sink in that if someone that far into it could leave, then so could I.
Pepper says
Cindy – I agree. These stories carry a lot of weight with me too. Obviously a shift in viewpoint occurred when someone wakes up and realizes all the money they were donating is for naught. I’m always interested to learn about how that occurred with them.
Also, ex-staff and SO members at all levels within the organization are of particular interest to me. Their stories as well resonate truth and validate my own observations as a public. This has helped me a lot.
People who were reg’s who told their stories like Hy Levy and Sindy Fagen are also quite valuable to the public and I appreciate them too.
People may feel remorse or embarrassment over the actions taken while being connected to the RCS but communicating about it publicly is so helpful to others. They should be proud of getting their message out there.
Foolproof says
Hi Cindy. Well, as I say I am not criticizing the people that do this -they donated their money in the trust that it would be used well and that is somewhat praiseworthy of course. However I am trying to change “latter day” Scientologist’s perceptions that the idea that having donated to the IAS or Idle Orgs scam is (still) somehow praiseworthy and it is this and only this idea that I am pointing out should be played down. An analogy would be the German industrialists in the 1930s that donated money to the Nazi party only to find out their money was being used eventually to wage war and genocide. You don’t see the Krupps family publicizing how much they gave the Nazis. The other parts of their messages I have no problem with as they have woken up and seen the state of the ravaged Churches but I don’t think that people should be impressed by how much money they have donated to these scams.

Study up on mind control…these waxing enthusiastic success stories of giving = a mind blowing session that will open up the flows is FED TO THEM BY THE REGGES!
We know how it rolls – we have been there.
They TELL you your flows will open up and that it will be equivalent to an auditing session. You read these success stories when you are in – then when the regges can gang up on you, keep you up all night and show you videos of “doom and gloom” – you cave into the command … GIVE UNTIL IT HURTS to save the World from damnation!
You write the success story right AFTER you have given the donation…not a few weeks or months or years later when the realization has sunk in that the flows did not open up after all and now you are saddled with debt. These people freak out but never tell anyone because of the tech – “NO CASE ON POST”, “NO ENTHETA”, “IT’S YOUR REACTIVE MIND” – so these suckers fall silent about the real condition they are in…they fake it and pretend to be at cause when they are really the effect of some excellent mind controlling procedures.
I think eventually everyone files bankruptcy in the Cherch of Scientology. According to the Church – it is just the “right thing to do”.
Please do your research on mind control….there is tons of it to study and you may think different of L Ron Hubbard after you have done your own looking and thinking for yourself!
Alanzo says
Excellent post, IM.
The same “blown out” feelings from the “wins”, once established in the Scientololgist, can be transferred to any activity, with enough control over the person and triggers in the environment.
Just remember back to some of the things you got “wins” on in Scientology. They weren’t all from auditing and training.
It’s called operand conditioning. LRH installed all kinds of operand conditioning techniques and other mind control techniques into Scientology, beginning in the 1960’s.
There is a reason that the Church of Scientology has a chapter in almost every book on mind control published since the 1970’s. LRH knew what he was doing. Scientology has more mind control and socially coercive brainwashing techniques in it than almost any other cult in history.
And this has nothing to do with any “Radical” Church of Scientology.
This is 100% standard ethics, tech, and admin Church of Scientology.

Has anyone ever left Scientology after realizing that all these attestations sound like they were written by the same crappy PR writer?
zemooo says
The tone and content are consistent with the same pen. Is some pr person chained to the table? The template for ‘attesting’ to case gain is the one and only ‘sacrament’ left to RCS.
In the old days (while Hubbard was alive) moving up the bridge and selling services was how ‘status’ was determined. Now if you are starting out again for the 3rd time, you can regain past OTness by sending a nice check to IAS and then spending a month or so at the expensive Super Powerz complex. How many tracks are there in the CO$ these days? How many ways of OTness?
Communicator IC says
I recall long ago Marty observed that the Church of Scientology practice of having people “donate” their way out of ethics problems, onto the OT levels, etc., was the equivalent of discontinued Catholic abuses concerning purchase of indulgences.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indulgence#Late_medieval_abuses
This appears to be the logical extension. Now, instead of having to donate to get on, and actually DO, an OT level, the donation by itself is sufficient for “case gain.”
Others have previously observed that status in the Church of Scientology used to be based on one’s accomplishments — e.g., one’s processing and training levels. increasingly, one’s status in the Church of Scientology is based on one’s donation level.

The next and final step in RCS’s evolution to Miscavology will be Miscavige finally acknowledged as Source and they can finally do away with all the dev-t of having to acknowledge Hubbard for anything. Miscavige will go from being called “Dept 21” and “KSW personified” to what he really wants: Source. And he’s welcome to it. I don’t know if those still in realize that this is where it’s going, but I don’t see how there is any other destination.
More and more are realizing – truly – what a destructive activity this has become and are looking to get out. They contact me and I know they are reaching out to the other “fringe Internet bloggers” too. The only trick is maintaining their connections with those still in so they don’t lose family. The SP declares are so rampant for the smallest disagreements now, though, that it’s getting hard to stay under the radar. RCS is not just drawing a line in the sand, it is building a nice big brick wall for those still in to hide behind (or keep them locked up). Well, good luck with that Miscavige. Your world is shrinking.
divaexmachina says
Chris, I have nothing to back this up but I get the sense that Miscavige is slowly trying to edit the “Space Opera” out of the ‘scriptures’. He seems so sensitive to public ridicule, and Xenu has been a real embarrassment for so long…perhaps his ultimate goal is to make Scientology center around ‘getting ethics in’ and donations ‘for the greater good.’ You think that’s possible?
Chris Shelton aka Galactic Patrol says
Interesting idea but I don’t think so. The Basics and ACCs are chock-a-block full of whole track data, and History of Man certainly wasn’t edited down to remove its more “unbelievable” information. I have always thought that if someone really wanted to ride the Ridicule Wagon with Scientology tech, they’d get a lot more traction quoting some of the wilder data from HOM and the Whole Track lectures than you get from the Xenu backstory. There’s all kinds of things about Mars and Venus populations, implant stations here on Earth, the various Invader Forces, etc. So I don’t think your on the right track with that.

Honestly, I got tons of case gain leaving the church too. Recently, someone asked me if I didn’t want to go back to Flag and get some auditing. Isn’t there anything you want to handle? I just said nope, I’m doing great, am very happy in life, never get sick, family’s great, work is awesome, etc. I got silence and a blank look in response.
When asked if I did my Objectives yet or planned too, I said I already attested to Objectives twenty years ago.
I think GATII with the re-do of the lower bridge for OT’s is to get people to start mocking up a brand new case to run and keep the hamster wheel turning. Auditing sessions are now equal to donating and feeling the pain of it.
