This is a blog post from 29 May 2013 that I am republishing today because I thought it interesting and still timely (And frankly was too busy to write a new post). One of our Special Correspondents sent me an excerpt of Miscavige's only print media interview. It is of interest for a number of reasons, but most significantly, it makes clear why he is scared of the press. He has no control over revising history with the media as he does with his internal public (try to find an event video in any org on the planet that has Heber Jentzsch or Ray Mithoff in it.... they have been written out … [Read more...]
Scientology: Champions of Hypocrisy
Over the past couple of weeks we have watched Miscavige go to war with Winter the dolphin. What has been amazing is the breathtaking hypocrisy they have put on display for all the world to witness. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA), home to Winter of the Dolphin Tale movies, is a highly regarded, completely transparent non-profit organization that does wonderful work rescuing marine wildlife (like Winter), but also supports children and other programs. The CMA is the single biggest draw for tourists to Clearwater outside of "the beach." Miscavige, as is his style, threw a hissy fit … [Read more...]
Scientology Clearwater Hissy Fit
The Tampa NBC affiliate website covers the latest news in the Scientology v. Clearwater war of 2017. Here is how the article begins: CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — The Church of Scientology has declared an economic war on Clearwater Marine Aquarium and the stakes are high — $26 million in tourism tax funding that the church wants to block at Tuesday’s Pinellas County Commission meeting. The church’s anger stems from a land purchase dispute involving a dirt parking lot next to Clearwater City Hall. The aquarium recently defied the church by selling that land to the City of Clearwater on April 20 … [Read more...]
ASL Talks Clearwater Redevelopment
My good friend Aaron Smith-Levin presents a well-reasoned explanation of what is going on in Clearwater based on his considerable experience and knowledge. While specific to the situation in Clearwater he offers some interesting insight into the "think" that drives scientology through the actions and directives of David Miscavige. I have not had time to comment very extensively on this subject of late. I had started but have not completed my own blog post focused on the consummate salesmanship skills of Miscavige - selling what is good for Miscavige to many smarter, more savvy people than t … [Read more...]
Clearwater on the Brink
A couple of recent articles in the Tampa Bay Times: Scientology leader to visit Clearwater officials a week before vote on property purchase and Dynamic of City Council meetings with Scientology leader a rarity, and an analysis of the property situation in Clearwater yesterday on Tony Ortega's blog make for interesting reading. I cannot help but draw parallels between what is happening with downtown Clearwater and David Miscavige's history as the supreme leader of scientology. Miscavige has long prided himself in his ability to "get things done" that others believed impossible. He began … [Read more...]
More SuMP Lies
Remember when Dear Leader yanked the ribbon on the wondrous Scientology Media Productions facility back in May 2016? It was offered up as the latest solution to make planetary clearing a reality - following in a long line of promises, from the Golden Age of Tech to Super Power and the Golden Age of Tech II. The Basics. The Golden Age of Knowledge. The largest digital printing plant on earth. The new Bridge Publications. Ideal Orgs. The NN, APS, WTH headquarters. Golden Era productions, the largest free standing studio state-of-the-art audio-visual production facility.... Here is some of … [Read more...]
Fun Facts from AOLA
Here is another of the frequent scientology documents that prove they are lying about their "massive international expansion." Let's look at these one by one. "Highest Ever" number of people solo auditing at AOLA -- 220. Remember, AOLA is the Advanced Org for the entirety of the AMERICAS. Everywhere from Buenos Aires to Winnipeg and Hawaii to Barbados. 220 people (including staff and Sea Org members). Total. This is 220 out of ONE BILLION people in North and South America. That's about ONE out of every 4.5 MILLION people. According to National Geographic, you have a 1 in 3.7 million … [Read more...]
The Responsibility of Leaders
This is an essay contributed by Brian Lambert. An interesting topic for sure, and one of the things hammered in by Miscavige. If you have never read Hubbard's writing of this title, there is a link at the bottom of the article. I suggest you read the document as this essay will not make a lot of sense without reading what Hubbard wrote. Also, it is important to note that the other thing hammered in by Miscavige along with Responsibility of Leaders is "Keeping Scientology Working" -- the demand that Hubbard's words, and his alone, be followed to the letter. While some will … [Read more...]
Scientology/North Korea
A reader sent this to me the other day and I found it fascinating. The parallels between North Korea and scientology are unmistakeable. Below are excerpts from the article. I highlighted especially relevant sections. They need no explanation to anyone familiar with scientology's playbook that dictates how they must respond to "critics." Scientology is as clumsy and unbelievable as N. Korea in its denunciation of defectors. It's amusing to see: it seems everyone who leaves N. Korea or scientology is some form of sexual pervert, has stolen money or is being paid to say bad things about … [Read more...]
Scientology Lies — New Years’ Edition
Finally had a few minutes to peruse the latest International Scientology News recounting the epic, milestone New Years event. As usual, it is filled with hype, smoke, mirrors and lies. Just a few of the most glaring: This page is the "overview" of the magnificent accomplishments of 2016: 37 million "walked through our doors"? That is a ridiculous number. But let's take it at face value. Scientology claims "more than" 10,000 scientology "orgs, missions and associated groups" -- this means 3700 people each per YEAR. Or 10 per day. An average of 10 people per day darken … [Read more...]
