This promo piece prompted me to re-emphasize something I have said many times in the past. The idea that scientology is "clearing the planet" is a farce. The two most populous nations on earth -- India and China -- do not have a SINGLE scientology org between them. They are not making ANY Clears, and don't even have the ability to do so. Recently, India with 1.417 billion inhabitants, overtook China (1.412 billion) -- between them they account for 35% of the earth's 7.95 billion people. If you add Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, Russia, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Egypt -- all … [Read more...]
An Event You Don’t Want to Miss
Scientology advertises every event as "epic," "monumental" etc etc and every one of them is something nobody can afford to miss. But this one stands out. "In support of the Gothenburg ideal org" it promises to be memorable if only for the choice of title. It is also interesting as there is not a peep about the "ideal org" in Stockholm -- which should be where the effort to build a second ideal org (after Malmo) is directed -- the capital, cultural center and largest city in Sweden. But back to the "Have You Lived Before This Life" event. There used to be a book of that title published … [Read more...]
San Francisco in LA???
Things are really getting weird in the scientology world. Los Angeles is holding an event consisting of people from San Francisco? Los Angeles is home to the Continental Management org, ASHO, AOLA and CC SO Orgs (not to mention the Flag Command Bureau, Bridge, Author Services), the MODEL ideal Class V org (LA Org) and "ideal orgs" in Pasadena, the Valley, Orange County and Inglewood. And yet they have to bring in "FEBC's" from San Francisco to hold an event? Where are the FEBC's from the LA Ideal Orgs? Tells you all you need to know about the success of this latest program that is … [Read more...]
New Haven Taxes
You may have heard about the decision of the city of New Haven to asses taxes on the vacant scientology "ideal org" building. For the first time in 14 years, City Hall has sent a property tax bill to the Church of Scientology for a long-vacant former furniture store in Westville Village. City Tax Collector Karen Gauthier confirmed that, as of July 1, the church owes $39,817.18 in property taxes for the two-story former Hallock’s at 949 Whalley Ave. That represents the first half of the Church of Scientology of Connecticut Inc.-owned property’s $79,742.36 tax bill for the fiscal y … [Read more...]
New Haven Completed Ideal Building Fundraising – An Ideal Org “Success”
I recently came across this promotional item from June 2014. Exactly a decade ago. New Haven hit a major milestone with the complete funding of their Ideal Org building purchase! But hold on, they actually PURCHASED their "ideal org" building in 2003. And Miscavige announced it very publicly on many occasions as “proof” his ideal org strategy was rolling full steam ahead. So, in 2003 they announce the “big news” the ideal org building has been purchased, then a decade later the next big news is that they completed the fundraising for the ideal org building purchase that had occurred 11 … [Read more...]
Why the Expensive Scientology Buildings?
I have explained this before but the question continues to be raised -- why is David Miscavige so obsessed with purchasing real estate? I am answering here as succinctly as possible. This strategy is not just the "ideal org" program, it also includes buying former homes and offices of L. Ron Hubbard, purchasing a redundant TV studio (KCET), and superfluous audio recording studio (Mad Hatter), buying properties to house printing presses and a "dissemination center" and other properties for Narconon, Applied Scholastics and the Way to Happiness Fdn. This real estate strategy serves several … [Read more...]
San Francisco — Poster Child for the Ideal Org Fail
Last Thursday I included an item about San Francisco "ideal org" being #1 in the birthday game with a photo of their staff in front of the building. It got me thinking about the history of this org -- it was the third "ideal org" that Miscavige yanked his ribbon in front of, right after Buffalo and Joburg. It was a big deal -- back then (2003) scientology could still manage to get actually recognizable people to show up to their events rather than a few nebulous “former member of the interfaith cooperative for youth advancement” or the “regional assistant honorary drug counselor.” Th … [Read more...]
A Reporter Visits Birmingham Ideal Org
Planetary Clearing is Unreal — Some Simple Math
Malmo is an "ideal org." Being "ideal" brings with it guaranteed 10X expansion according to the hype peddled by Miscavige. Yet this org is announcing that they do not even have 100 people on service in their "ideal" org in a week. It’s their goal to achieve this tiny target! According to Hubbard, these orgs are all supposed to be the "size of Old St Hill." One of the measurements of "St Hill size" is 200 student in the Academy. And 1000 WDAH per week. If every preclear was receiving an intensive a week, that would mean 80 preclears. That is a total of 280 people on service in DIV 4 each w … [Read more...]
Dianetics in Paris
True to form, scientology has been hawking the "special leatherbound, silver foil embossed edition" of Dianetics following the org reduction and eradication ribbon cutting event where they pretended Miscavige was present when he had pre-recorded his speech from inside the building days previously (Alex Barnes-Ross did an excellent analysis of this). This is a "stunning commemorative limited edition" -- in the US they sold them for $500. This doesn't appear on the New Era website. I am sure they have not reduced the price since the last ones I saw. They usually do 500 … [Read more...]
