Well, according to this promo piece, the answer is 200. And after being in business now for more than 50 years, Perth apparently has accumulated 40 staff (though I suspect the 10 pictured are "going to be" on staff and at least 15 of the 30 others are VERY part-time...) But even that is only 1/5th of the complement to be ideal. And they are going to make it "this year." Scientology math at its best: we made it 20% of the way in 50 years. The remaining 80% is going to be done in the next few months. How? Pure intention salted heavily with bs and lies. Perth should be rolling around as … [Read more...]
Scientology Shriveling
With great fanfare, scientology screams "expansion" every time they cut the ribbon on an old org relocated to an expensive new building. Recently we saw one of their upcoming projects, Perth "ideal" org, talking about how they are going to be clearing "Malasia", Singapore and Indonesia. There is no thought of opening ORGS in these countries. Instead, they desperately fundraise to buy a new building for a small, failing org that has ALWAYS been small and failing and proudly proclaim this will herald a new era in countries thousands of miles away. Pure insanity. Remember when … [Read more...]
“It works every time because it was written by LRH”
This is an amazing piece from Jeanie Franks/Bogvad's current husband. It is a distillation of how fundamentalist scientologists view the world and their role in it. First off for every good scientologist, an "LRH quote" must set the stage and prove to everyone how "On-Source" you are. It is proudly proffered, without irony, to demonstrate that one is "with the program" as a true scientologist and thus can think for themselves. This one especially picked to be used to overcome sales barriers. "I don't have any money for that auditing you say I need" is responded to with "You are just … [Read more...]
Dave’s Christmas Vacation
Well, no surprise to see the Diminutive One show up in S. Africa for the perfunctory ribbon yanking of a second "ideal" building to add to the empty Joburg org just down the way... Why would the "ecclesiastical leader of the scientology religion" fly 12,000 miles to South Africa two days before Christmas and schedule the "New Year's" event for 16 December, two weeks before New Years? Best answer: because he planned a little vacation for himself in S. Africa. What a great opportunity to make a trip to the furthest reaches of earth, away from the pesky media, courts and whistle-blowers … [Read more...]
News from The Valley
I like to keep tabs on the largest and most important Ideal Org on earth -- especially as it is my local org when I am in Los Angeles. At least it can rightfully lay claim to having the largest and emptiest parking lot of any scientology org on earth (others are just as empty, none are nearly so big...) First, they sent out this terrific Holiday Greetings card: Interesting they selected this particular sentence from the "Ideal Org" Policy Letter. It's so nebulous. People come there to get freedom, they have confidence in the fact it will happen and then they run smack … [Read more...]
Vicki Shantz Recruiting for CF
This is what the most senior executive in the Western United States has devolved into. Begging people to do backlogged filing in one of her orgs. In fact, begging "OT's" who have "such amazing abilities to create effects across the dynamics." Though apparently those effects do not include managing to get people into the org or enough people on staff to do the filing. The bait? A personal commendation... but then again doesn't seem like a commendation from the CF In Charge for WUS would carry much weight. But then again, commendations aren't worth the paper they are printed on held up … [Read more...]
SuMP and Valley Fail
Well, another "Freudian slip" (footbullet?) that scientology manages pretty routinely. Here we have a wonderful combination of reminders of some of their most epic fails. Valley, the "largest and most important" Class V ideal org on earth is sending out emails to get "actually anyone" to please show up in the org for a photo shoot. Of course, this begs the obvious question: why don't they just shoot the people that are there taking services or participating in some way? The answer is, of course, because the place is EMPTY. So they have to beg people, "anyone" to show up … [Read more...]
Ideal Org Failure #47X – San Francisco
SFO is one of the first ideal orgs (the "originals" were Buffalo, Joburg, NY and SFO)... The email accompanying this said "San Francisco is going SH Size". This "ideal org" had it's ribbon yanked by the Chairman of the Bored on 29 Nov 2003. That is almost exactly 14 years ago. FOURTEEN YEARS and this org has not expanded to the "Make-break" point, the size where staff can earn a living wage according to L. Ron Hubbard. Of course, the other "original" "ideal" orgs are also dismal failures. Buffalo has never amounted to anything at all. New York continues to struggle. Joburg, the one … [Read more...]
Flag OTC Minutes & LRH Aftermath
The latest and greatest from the biggest and best OT Committee on earth. Some interesting tidbits in here. As announced by the ex-WDC member Anna Paddock (one of the morons who showed up at the Rathbun's to check on their "squirreling") -- the "Clear event" was a "big success" with 30 attendees. Remember, scientology claims 12,000+ members in the Tampa Bay area. Doesn't appear to be a "big success" even if there is only 10% of that number of scientologists. David Pomeranz's wife is the "OT IX and X Get Ready Pjt Officer"... Must be good to have a lifetime and beyond appointment. She … [Read more...]
London “Ideal” Org – Still Failing After All These Years
Twelve years after becoming "Ideal" and combining two orgs into one (London and CC London) London is STILL not SH Size. The building IS magnificent. And they have a separate Test Center on an enormously busy street (the former London Org premises). If you took all the times they have announced their "highest ever expansion" and "bigger," "better" and "faster" over those years it would be more words than are found in DMSMH. But nobody seems to notice that despite them claiming all this incredible expansion they have not even achieved the "make-break point" of an org. St Hill size. L. Ron … [Read more...]
