Christi Gordon came across this 1975 document and forwarded to me. It contains some interesting material worthy of comment. Hubbard announces he has been informed that there will be no deal with the IRS and thus there will be a 4 or 5 year fight. OF course, he has a solution that will save the day (history doesn't look kindly on many of his predictions and solutions). And this is an especially bizarre one. IN 1974 Hubbard had begun shooting “photo stories” aboard the Apollo. These horrendously staged and lit images were the focus of attention of a large number of crew at the time -- cr … [Read more...]
Ron, Sarah and Alexis
In response to yesterday's post about following "In the Footsteps of Ron" at his Bay Head, NJ house where he wrote Dianetics, a reader sent me the following photographs, noting, A couple of pictures they may not have on the wall. With Sarah and baby Alexis, taken by Robert Heinlein. You can be 100% sure these photos are nowhere to be found in "Ron's Bay Head house" or in any of the "Ron" series or any other publication about Hubbard's life by scientology. Sarah never existed, according to Hubbard's statement to the media when asked about her, and Alexis was not his daughter -- … [Read more...]
In the Footsteps of Ron
This is a pretty sad commentary on the brainwashed sheeple of scientology. CST bought this house in Bay Head NJ where Hubbard wrote Dianetics and his house in Phoenix where he "developed/discovered" scientology. They were "restored" to their sort of original state (can't be too authentic as wouldn't want Ron looking "tacky" or "cheap" even if he was) and are both available for "tours" that promise you can "walk in the footsteps of Ron." Of course, the only people that would be interested in such a thing are scientologists. Nobody else cares. And certainly nobody else aspires to "be like … [Read more...]
Guy White Speaks
In a new article in the Daily Mail, L. Ron Hubbard's former son-in-law speaks out for the first time. This is a bombshell. Knowing as much as I do about the circumstances surrounding Guy, Miscavige, L. Ron Hubbard and scientology, you can be assured he is not making anything up. You can read the article in the link above. It contains a lot of information that many may not have heard about the Hubbard family. What I found most revealing though is the cookie-cutter response from scientology. These days they apparently can't muster much of a defense. It's very standard stuff. ANd … [Read more...]
Doomsday Ron
This, according to Ron, is not a threat or a curse... Sure seems like it to me. This is one of the huge traps of scientology. Hubbard constantly dangled the “research” and "next levels” as the reason to give your money and your life over to the cause. In this regard it is much like the doomsday cults (including the Jehovah’s Witnesses) who preach the soon to come Armageddon/end of the world that will consume everyone except the truly dedicated believers and committed practitioners of their particular brand of belief. And of course Hubbard (and scientology) claim theirs is NOT a belief … [Read more...]
How Does It Feel to Be a Scientologist?
Before delving into this latest piece to be found on the STAAD fiction site, let me proffer a more honest answer to the question. How does it feel to be a scientologist? Superior -- after all nobody else has the "tech" of life, they are all ignorant, misinformed or both Certain -- we know the answer to everything, all that is needed is to "do what Ron says." Controlled -- though they would categorize this as "dedicated" or "on purpose". But bottom line, every scientologists does what is good for scientology. Period. John Logothetis expounds with the usual scientology "talking points" -- … [Read more...]
The “Tech” of Marriage
The amazing hypocrisy of scientology is no better illustrated than with this promotional piece. Here is the "tech" of L. Ron Hubbard being sold as the way to attain happiness in life -- in this case success in marriage. This is a classic case of "Do as I say, not as I do..." L. Ron Hubbard was married 3 times -- each ended in disaster. He left his first wife (Polly) with his first 2 children (Katie and Ron Jnr) to pursue other "interests", including a relationship with the woman who would become his 2nd wife Sarah. He married Sarah bigamously. She bore him a daughter … [Read more...]
More Words of Wisdom from Ron
It is quite remarkable the level of foolishness a devoted scientologist is willing to accept if it is the words of “Ron.” As I have mentioned often, all that is required for any scientologist to buy into the most incredible statements is to attach the letters LRH to the end of the sentence. It is so absurd that it is seen as especially “impinging” if the statement is nonsense on its face. This seems to be proof that the “LRH quote” is profound — something us mere mortals perhaps don’t have the capacity to comprehend. The condescending “good scientologist” will assume the knowing look of “how … [Read more...]
L. Ron Hubbard: How to Deal with Bullies
The words of L. Ron Hubbard are often contradictory. And yet, according to his dictates, his words are to be "duplicated and applied exactly without alteration"... even when he says diametrically opposed things. What defines a Floating Needle -- "loose and free" or "rhythmic"? Are you supposed to love your enemies or destroy them? Do you forgive or always even the score? Never evaluate for a pc unless the meter tells you otherwise? There are literally thousands of these. I was sent this promotion piece and it was SO contradictory to one of the most well-known things Hubbard wrote … [Read more...]
More Stolen Valor
Here we go again. On Memorial Day I wrote a post about this subject -- Stolen Valor: Ron the War Hero And now they are at it once more. If you are planning to attend this event, or know someone who is, please be aware that this is ONLY a "PR opportunity" for "safepointing" scientology and that those who attend will be held up as examples of people who endorse scientology. Know too that that the founder of scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, told many tall tales (lies) about his military career, very well documented in Chris Owens' carefully researched book Ron The War Hero (available on … [Read more...]
