I published an essay by Lois Reisdorf ("Fleecing the Sheeple") and promised that she would be providing us with more information from her considerable experience as the daughter of scientology aristocracy in South Africa, her subsequent experiences as one of the first Commodore's Messengers working with L. Ron Hubbard on the Apollo and interaction with David Miscavige rising. It is a fascinating story. Here is the first installment. MAKING OF A CHILD SCIENTOLOGIST AND SEA ORG MEMBER I am starting from the beginning of my life and the making of me into a Scientologist and child … [Read more...]
Dealing with Critics of Scientology – The L. Ron Hubbard Playbook
If you read this blog, you are likely aware of Leah Remini's upcoming A&E show. I have had the pleasure of working with Leah on this show as a consultant and participant, a cause of great distress for the church. So I thought I might weigh in with some information I feel is pertinent to events now and into the future. As a reader here you are likely also aware of the "church" reaction to the announcement of the show and the first trailer being released - the usual name-calling, smearing and foot stomping that does not RESPOND in any fashion to the abuses being exposed. … [Read more...]
Ron says….
Yowza -- they actually picked this quote out to publish it? This isn't very complimentary about children and frankly, does not make a whole lot of sense. If the cause of all this terribleness is their reactive mind, why should it be worse when they are children? How does your reactive mind alleviate itself as you grow older if you don't have auditing? Whether L. Ron Hubbard loved or hated children (he certainly fathered plenty - but didn't seem to fare too well raising them...) this yet again demonstrates the mindless robotism prevalent in scientology. Because L. Ron Hubbard said … [Read more...]
Scientology and “The Mechanism of Death”
Most religious belief is purely subjective. There is no way of proving whether someone made it to heaven, or descended to hell. Was heaven a 5 star experience or a bit disappointing? Did the virgin birth really occur? Was Noah able to round up all the animals on earth and put them on his ark? Where scientology is most problematic is when Hubbard made pronouncements that seemed unverifiable at the time, but are now shown to be ridiculous. Some of his statements about being on Venus or Mars for example. Or the supposed factual account of the History of Man including the Piltdown Man before it … [Read more...]
The Life of L. Ron Hubbard
This is a fascinating insight into the world inside the scientology bubble. This image was posted to a scientology message board on FaceBook. Shortly after this screenshot was taken, the group's admin asked that it be taken down as it didn't have "Issue Authority." Despite all the LRH biography briefings, websites, press releases and books in today's official scientology scripture there is no mention whatsoever anywhere that L. Ron Hubbard even had a wife (or 3) or any children. One of the reasons the Briefing Course is no longer available is that the lectures have not b … [Read more...]
The L. Ron Hubbard “Biographer”
Someone sent me a new promotion for the "L. Ron Hubbard Series" which prompted this post. Dan Sherman has been working on the "L. Ron Hubbard biography" for more than 25 years. Imagine anyone else getting away with no product for that long? And being paid handsomely to boot.... Sherman's problem is that he can NEVER produce an actual biography. He would have to omit so many things from the book to satisfy the condition that there be nothing negative included about Hubbard that it would be a running joke. Everyone who can use Google would tear it to pieces. A very cursory list of … [Read more...]
Some Goofy Shit
This they put in the latest Source mag. It is a condensation/edit of what is contained in the lecture, which is even more incoherent than this. I have highlighted a few statements in here that stand out as particularly strange. In scientology, anything ever said by L. Ron Hubbard is gospel truth and the reliance upon it is a sign of the true fundamentalist. Fundamentalist christians literally read the bible and thus the world is 6000 years old (or some figure, I am not even sure where it comes from) and man occupied the earth concurrently with dinosaurs. L. Ron Hubbard makes similarly … [Read more...]
Ron’s Journal 30
Yesterday, commenter Valerie made reference to LRH ED 301, Ron's Journal 30 in a comment. She sent me a copy of the issue and I glanced through it for the first time in a while. Looking at it newly, with the water that has passed beneath my bridge since the last time it had come to my attention, gave me pause about a few things. First, there are those who would say that everything written in here is the gospel truth, and it has all been altered by David Miscavige. But that is a very shallow view. It is undeniable that there are statements in this writing that are just not true. They … [Read more...]
The Only Workable Administrative Technology On Earth
The item below is evidence that the "only workable administrative technology on earth" doesn't work. There has never been ANY org, ever that has managed to implement and maintain the vaunted Hubbard Admin Tech as it is written. Apologists claim it is because people "don't apply it correctly" but that is a silly argument because after 60 years if not a single person has managed to be able to apply it as written, then it is not "workable." There is no scientology organization on earth that has EVER been able to maintain the arcane, "Central Files" system mandated by "policy." Not one, … [Read more...]
Warehouse 8 Hypefest
This not an exciting post like yesterday. And I dont have the time nor energy right now to do anything more. I caught a bug when in NY and have been in bed for 48 hours. Hope to be done with it soon. Must be PTS hanging around with all those SPs... This promo piece encapsulates so much of what is wrong with scientology in such a short space. The hype. The astonishing false statistics that are presented as "fact" and accepted just because. The amazing amount of money they feel they are entitled to be given just because they are. The absolute (and unfounded) certainty that they have the ONLY … [Read more...]
