Following the recent post about Dublin and Scientology's fictitious activites there, here is more news about the imaginary activities of Scientology in Ireland, this time from across the border. One of our eagle-eyed readers sent me a note about the "Mission" in Belfast. They report that the Mission has been "closed for ages" even though it still appears on the official Scientology website. No doubt this is one of the Missions they count in the 11,000 total orgs, missions and groups. And no doubt Northern Ireland is one of the countries they count in the "186 around the world." It's h … [Read more...]
Too Little Too Late
The disasters just keep on rolling. These three emails came in this morning. Larry, Moe and Curly Joe couldn't make this more slapstick.... First, after years in the "planning" SMI is sending out an URGENT email that must be answered TODAY to give information about delivering "GAG II." Wonder what happens to the Missions that DONT have trained C/Ses, Co-Audit Sups and Auditors (ie practically every "Mission" listed on Scientology.org)? With GAG II "imminent" this is like asking at the altar whether your bride is a virgin. It's a bit late for that sort of "Oh, I forgot to check...." The … [Read more...]
The Sad Tale of Scientology in Nigeria
Following is a report from our Special Correspondent in Western Africa. My Story by ‘Emeke Amanze My adventure in Scientology began in January 2002 when I came across a Dianetics flier. Within hours of receiving the flier, I located Lagos, Nigeria msn, bought DMSMH, and read it. It made a lot of sense, and I became a frequent visitor to the msn. In August 2004, I joined staff at the msn. I was the only staff, so I wore the hat of PES. My duties were primarily to disseminate Dianetics by distributing promos, and selling Book one to raw public. I also doubled as the receptionist and handled cl … [Read more...]
The Missions of Scientology — Where Are They?
Again, it is unfortunate for David Miscavige and the Church of Scientology that they now have a listing of all Missions on their website. The 1993 edition of "What Is Scientology?" gives a perfect 20 year comparison of the period that Miscavige routinely calls our “greatest expansion in history". And that comparison is not pretty -- and certainly doesnt fall into the category of "greatest periods of expansion." What do Ideal Orgs Have To Do With It? As you may be aware, David Miscavige himself announced that every “Ideal Org” would be the central point for expansion in its zone – put … [Read more...]
Even More on Missions
[wpvideo GI0IkQFW] By Mike Rinder This small excerpt from the IAS event provides an excellent glimpse of the entire circus performance. Little King David in all his diminutive glory, Shermanspeaking with his strange, vaguely hypnotic cadence and almost comical accent on words, spewing forth lies and trickery almost faster than its possible to ingest. There is another 2+ hours of this torture. But when you can slow it down, pause the video, really SEE what is being said, it presents a very different picture than the veneer of slick smoke and mirrors that gushes forth. Gabriel recently p … [Read more...]
