Dr. Natalie Feinblatt appeared in the finale episode of The Aftermath. She recently published this article: 10 Tips for Leaving the Church of Scientology. (As a note, the byline is credited to Kristie Plantinga who appears to be in charge of Natalie's website marketing). No matter who wrote it, the piece contains helpful advice (and couple of factual errors about celebrities who have been involved). There are a number of parts to the article -- these are the subheads. Why people leave Scientology Signs you might be ready to quit Scientology Understanding the process of leaving the … [Read more...]
“How to Refuse Psychiatry”
This is quite surreal. Here is a scientologist, conducting a "seminar" in a scientology org, to attract interest in his services of "keeping people out of the hands of psychiatry." Like Lisa McPherson was kept out of the hands of psychiatry? There are two things about this that boggle the mind: First, every scientologist is required to sign an agreement in order to be allowed to take ANY services, that states they do NOT want to be in the hands of psychiatry and instead choose to undergo an introspection rundown. This is an excerpt from that agreement -- you can find a copy of the … [Read more...]
Chat GPT on Psychiatry and Scientology/L. Ron Hubbard
My friend Phil Jones sent this to me. He received a copy of an email from "Psychbuster Extraordinaire" Ken Kramer. Ken thought it would be amusing to have ChatGPT do a takedown of psychiatry. Dear ChatGPT, "Can you write two pages or 800 words about psychiatry in the style of Mark Twain, scathing, humorous, cynical, ironic?" "Certainly! Here’s a scathing, humorous, cynical, and ironic piece about psychiatry in the style of Mark Twain:" Psychiatry: A Madhouse of Foolishness By ChatGPT May 21, 2023 I have had the misfortune of encountering a peculiar breed of i … [Read more...]
Lyin’ Ryan is Back!
He has been hiding for a while, but Ryan Prescott has reappeared to take charge of his clown car once again. We have covered the delusional kid who claimed he was going to take charge of the Clearwater elections to "make sure Mark Bunker is not elected" and who wrote the books "exposing" Leah Remini and me as "liars" a few times in the past, this is perhaps the most comprehensive post: What Happened to Ryan Prescott? Stefani Hutchison on her wonderful Confront and Shatter blog has exposed Lyin' Ryan many times, this is just one example Ryan Prescott Lies Once Again. Now he has he … [Read more...]
Scientology, Psychiatry and Politics
I have written a few pieces here about the general inclination of scientologists to vote Republican. Hubbard's disdain for government and welfare are important reasons why scientologists tend not to be liberal/Democrats. But the biggest reason has to do with psychiatry. In this, scientologists are single-issue voters and virtually every one of them would never vote for a Democratic administration. Scientology's oldest and most dedicated "social reform" group, Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) has recently made clear to all scientologists that the current President and his … [Read more...]
Scientologists: Republicans or Democrats? Pro-Choice or Pro-Life?
I am often asked this question, and my answer is usually that while there is no hard and fast rule, scientologists tend to lean Republican because of Hubbard's words: He opposed "big government" (pretty much ALL government -- it's "group bank") He opposed welfare -- that is "rewarding downstats." He opposed taxes. He believed homosexuality is an "aberration" He opposed government funded medical programs because "they support psychiatry." These positions pretty much ensure any good scientologist is a Republican voter. We saw in 2016 that the only precinct in LA that voted for Trump for … [Read more...]
S. African Govt Paying for Auditor Training?
I certainly hope this is typical scientology hype... Is there anyone in S. Africa that can independently check these two claims.... This is the sort of thing that scientologists LOVE to latch onto. One person reads a Intro booklet about the organizing board, they are employed by the government and soon this has become "the government of Malawi is now operating on LRH Admin Tech." Or there is a photo taken of someone standing next to a police officer with a WTH booklet and "crime has been reduced by 60% in the city of Caracas as a result of the police department embracing the … [Read more...]
The Miracle of Hubbard Tech
The full story is here. Eddie is a long time scientologist who went Clear in the 90's and the last recorded service is OT Preps in 2015. You can see some of his history detailed in the most recent article on him by Tony Ortega at The Underground Bunker. This sad story begs some obvious questions: Why did the tech fail so miserably in helping Eddie -- someone who is more of a celebrity than a lot of the "celebrities" who are afforded special care and attention at the "Celebrity Centre." Is CCHR doing everything they can to get him out of the hands of the psychs, just like they did with … [Read more...]
CCHR Propaganda
The level of hypocrisy on display in scientology -- in this case, CCHR -- is astonishing. They grab onto "group insanities" and toss off a few examples, starting with "refusal to employ someone or allow them to belong" -- in the face of scientology's disconnection policy? Even beyond refusal to allow someone to belong, it takes it the next step and enforces that those who DO belong are not allowed to even speak with the person who is not allowed to belong. Then "failure to use people" -- check out the slave-labor busy work Sea Org members are engaged in. Or even … [Read more...]
CCHR Hypocrisy
CCHR people are amazing. They churn out an apparently endless stream of accusations about psychiatry that complain about the psychs doing exactly what they do every day- and utterly devoid of irony. Forced labor? How about being on staff in a scientology org? Or even more, in the Sea Org? Money motivation? Labelling people? This is perhaps the most ironic of all. Wogs. PTS. SP. Type 3. etc etc etc Apart from the different labels, the only thing this cartoon has wrong is that the person would be directed to the registrar rather than a … [Read more...]
