The information below was provided by Aaron Smith-Levin, along with an interview video he did with Sam Crabtree. I knew both his parents in the Sea Org back in the day, his father Paul more than his mother Debbie, especially when he was the Cram Off RTC. The video is a long one, but fascinating. Sam is a second-generation Scientologist born into the Sea Org in 1983. His parents left the Sea Org when he was 6 years and raised Sam as a public Scientologist. After serving three more years in the Sea Org from age 17 to age 20 Sam moved to Clearwater to again be a public Scientologist. Sam … [Read more...]
Panic Stations – STAAD Flailing Again
Its pretty easy to tell what gets under the very thin skin of David Miscavige. His (violent?) outbursts of frustration are evident in the statements that emanate from the STAAD League. While Miscavige has poured tens of millions into the failed scientologyTV network and shouts loudly about winning “Telly” awards (something nobody has ever heard of and a quick glance shows they hand out hundreds of them for online ads and infomercials), he becomes apoplectic when real awards are presented to Leah Remini and The Aftermath. Funny how scientology always accuses others of doing what they do … [Read more...]
Scientology Hypocrisy Knows No Bounds
Scientology is shameless. And here is the latest proof. A new article in "Freedom" magazine they are pushing on Twitter. More evidence they do EXACTLY what they accuse others of doing, without the slightest embarrassment. This is sociopathic behavior. Freedom attacks the President of A&E Studios because scientology has been unable to arrange a meeting with him. "the Church’s attempts to seek a meeting with A&E since March of that year, met with not so much as an answer nor was there a means of having “a meaningful conversation..."" Funny -- we have TRIED for 3 years to get … [Read more...]
Neuroplasticity
This mini ebook was sent in by a supporter of the Aftermath Foundation accompanied by the following thoughts. It contains some thought-provoking ideas that are anathema to anyone who subscribes to the principles expounded by L. Ron Hubbard. But there are a lot of things in this world that help people that he derided. Perhaps you will find something that provides some relief/assistance to you in these ideas. They are certainly offered with the best intentions. I am a Certified Neurosculpting Facilitator at the Neurosculpting Institute in Denver, and I have something for you. I t … [Read more...]
The (Not Tom) Cruise Debrief and An Announcement
My apologies for being remiss. A few have asked how the vacation was as I made no mention of it here... It was amazing. I have waited to post this until we were ready with a special announcement. It's at the end of this short report on the cruise. We all had such a good time. A cruise is an excuse to eat and drink too much. Check. Do silly things -- like build a device to drop a raw egg 8 stories to the ship's atrium floor without it breaking -- we did! Visit interesting locations. Check. Do things we had never done before. Check. Spend time with friends (adults together while the 8 … [Read more...]
Another Aftermath Foundation Success
I mentioned recently that we would have a write up from one of latest people helped by the The Aftermath Foundation. Here it is. With some interesting insight into the reality of the latest "ideal org" demonstrating the massive international expansion of scientology. I was introduced to the world of Scientology in June of 2012 when I traveled from Utah to Michigan to do the Narconon program at the "Freedom Center" in Albion. After completing the program I was recruited to remain at the Narconon center as a staff member, which is a common practice at Narconon. I was a withdrawal … [Read more...]
The Aftermath Foundation
Many of you may have seen Aaron Smith-Levin's video posted on Tony Ortega's blog yesterday. If you missed it, here it is again: In response to the video a large number of people contacted The Foundation offering their assistance and making donations. The response was heart-warming and greatly appreciated. Scientology can try to prevent The Foundation from helping people leave scientology -- but they will never succeed. The members of the board of the foundation are not cowed by scientology in the least. We are aware of their dirty tricks. We anticipated there would be people sent in … [Read more...]
The Aftermath — An Update
This is an attempt to quell some of the rumors and erroneous speculation swirling about The Aftermath. Though I am not in a position to know everything about decisions that are made outside my control (or Leah’s), I do have some insight – more than most who may claim to have “heard rumors,” rely on anonymous sources or merely speculate because they have a keyboard on which they can type. First, and most important for me, I want to dispel the lies that have been circulated (most likely by scientology) that episodes or the show as a whole are in peril because of Leah Remini’s dema … [Read more...]
What Can You Do to Help End Scientology Abuses?
The most common question we are asked is "What can I do to help?" First, understand that your support of our show and on social media is tremendously valuable. Both to us and to let the contributors to our show know there are people out there that support the cause. Second, if you want to offer help in terms of professional counselling or you have job opportunities or a place for someone to stay, please contact The Aftermath Foundation which is established to be a clearing house to connect those who are trying to leave scientology or have recently done so to a network of people who have … [Read more...]
Fast Eddie and STAAD’s Hypocrisy
Someone recently pointed out some of the letters that are on the STAAD website complaining that The Aftermath might cost scientologists jobs. Among the strange things they accuse us of, this has got to be one of the weirdest. First, we have never asked anyone not to hire scientologists for any reason nor have we given anyone a reason not to do so. But more importantly, scientology knows very well that hiring or firing based on religious belief is clear-cut discrimination that is delineated in Federal Law. Scientology knows this especially because various WISE members have faced … [Read more...]
