JT is featured prominently – twice. Is he doing another ethics handling and has committed to attend for sure as part of his amends? Jenna Elfman and Laura Prepon, Mark Isham and Chick Corea are also shown. Jenna, Mark and Chick are card-carrying Kool Aid drinkers. Laura may be in the same boat as JT — in a bit of trouble for being gay in Orange Is The New Black, or they just happened to use a photo of JT that she is in from a previous Gala.
But the real issue here is who they are NOT showing…
The greatest disseminator in the history of the universe? No doubt this is not an important enough event for him to attend. He reserves himself for Dear Leader’s biggest events — yanking the ribbon on Super Power and the IAS Spectacularorama at St Hill.
Kirstie? Too out PR to be shown these days? Her latest stunt of disconnecting from her DWTS partner is typical.
Lisa Marie and Priscilla? No longer toeing the party line it seems. Let’s not forget Lisa Marie and Leah Remini were BFFs.
Greta Van Susteren? Keeps her distance, doesn’t want to be associated with another cult (in addition to Fox News). Smart enough to know association with scientology is a career killer.
Elisabeth Moss? Never been to any event. A pattern that doesn’t appear to be changing.
Erika Christiansen? Usually a pretty easy mark for this sort of thing. Perhaps not big enough to warrant a mention these days.
Juliette Lewis? Nobody seems to care.
Anne Archer? She will no doubt be there, but there is no celebrity gas left in that tank.
Nancy Cartwright? Maybe she is being held hostage by the Valley Org fundraising team to keep her from becoming prey for any other regges. She is their goose that lays golden eggs.
Jason Lee? Seems to have slipped out the back door at some point.
Catherine Bell? Persona non-grata since she broke up with her husband to get together with Brooke Daniels (daughter of Penny Atwell Jones) who also broke up with her husband. (Someone happened to send me a photo of the happy couple recently – you can see it below). Whatever their PR statements, someone auditing on OT VII leaving her husband to have a relationship with another woman does NOT win you any popularity contest with Dear Leader. Maybe Catherine also decided to escape…

I haven’t seen Penny Atwell Jones in years, but, boy oh boy, has she dropped in the Scientology pecking order. When I was in the cult, it was entertaining to watch women like Penny who aspired to be alpha females — nouveau riche hags who fixated on specific styles of clothing, decorating, and entertaining standards. I attended a couple CC Galas around 2012. The last one they mentioned to me how they were flying in a caterer who caters to the Queen of England. The dish that was served was a lettuce leaf with some various salty nuts inside of it dipped in pesto sauce. As for the celebrities, they just come and go right after their photo op. On stage there will be some officials of governments or the police talking about anti-drugs or TWTH, but rarely will one utter the word “Scientology” in their speech. As all of this is going on, IAS regges and course regges come to sit next to you or pull you away quietly from your table and discuss your next step = $$$. Basically, you pay $1,000 to eat some lettuce and watch Sheriff Lee Baca talk about TWTH, which is supposed to excite you enough to open up your wallet to one of the many regges that will approach you.

When I was a speaker at the CC International anniversary many moons ago, as the daughter of the woman who founded Celebrity Centre, (since forgotten), or even if I was an attendee, there was NO charge to get in. Everyone was welcome no matter their standing in the circle of life. I guess its purpose has since changed making it an exclusive club.

Hi Janis – I was at the very first Grand Opening celebration of CC at the Manor. I believe it was 1990 but not positive. It didn’t cost anything. It was invitation only but the invitations were to those who had contributed to the growth and expansion of Scientology and I don’t mean monetary donations. My first Org was CC over on La Brea when your Mother – Yvonne – was the CO. That was back in 1976. I was good friends with Heber and Yvonne then. Yvone used to tell us all kinds of stories of her with LRH and the SO’s early days. One evening after course at CC in 1977, Yvonne told about 10 of us CC students that LRH had told her that CC would be at the Manor. She was so happy about that. It was the first time anyone outside of the SO had been told about the plans. Loved that lady!
That brings back some fond memories. I did the Clearing Course at the Annex at the Manor in 1977. (Clear No. 6022, 24 April 1977 and attested to by Bob Pinkos and Pat Silverman) The word was out about the upcoming renos to the Manor and the Annex was soon to be no more. I met Heber and Yvonne at an event about that time.

The building TC was seen at didn’t have any signs indicating it was a CoS building (usually there’s quite a few giveaways but I didn’t see any) plus he was dressed very casually and listening to music on his iPhone.

Regarding Tom’s ‘couch jumping’.
Personally I never saw the big deal. In some respects it very well can be taken as an actor ‘acting’ a part of truly being in love. [not to say he was not.] However, as a star, it could have been perceived that the ‘ladies’ would ‘eat up’ the ‘crazy excitement’ he displayed.
Problem is, it backfired… as the news went out about him ‘acting crazy’…
in the show, it seemed to have had the affect intended, but in the age of the internet, and a certain kind of ‘kill-joy’ attitude, it was twisted around.
A note, in general, about disconnect – not being a Scientoloigst, I cannot speak for those who actually have experienced it first hand – however, in theory, the idea of getting away from certain ‘egos’ and ‘pain bodies’ is not that bad of an idea. [My philosophy leans toward that of Eckhart’s teachings] On the surface, while it may seem rash… humans tend to be like the stock market until they ‘wake up’ – people and their ‘pain-bodies’ are quite predictable to a large degree.
And the easiest way to view this is the drunk who promises not to do whatever negative action he did the last time… just to keep the cycle going.
This is not limited to alcohol, this is in the heart of very many people’s relationships.
On the surface, from the videos I have seen of scientology, it is impressive.
Though having been deep in the Protestant faith, I am all too familiar with how corruption can lurk within a group – and even more, how some involved can easily be playing those at bottom… and those underneath will never question those at top as they would not fathom that a ‘lie’ would dominate the very org they are apart of.
Thanks for the listen… nothing new, as all this info has been said in so many ways, and each person has experienced it to some degree in relation to their own lives, even if on the surface it appears to be different.

it’s true. It happened a couple of years ago and Penny Jones was apoplectic. Such a scandal the perfectly ‘ethical’ (according to scientology standards) Brook Jones, daughter of Penny Jones (biggest snob in the world), becoming a lesbian. They did try to keep it quiet in CW, everyone knows scientology frowns on being gay, but it’s a small community and word travels fast, even ‘entheta’.
I am just surprised that zero media outlets are talking about it. Not even TMZ. Just makes me wonder. Sincerely I am happy for her. But according to her website and twitter she is still in. Or at least no one knows who she is dating because all the major Kool aid drinkers are still friends with her on twitter and her website still lists all the Scientology groups as her outreach. So just curious. If she isn’t out, Catherine I beg you, do NOT under any circumstances become a gay celebrity for Scientology. Only they will gain from it. Just remember how and why we met. It will be worse and actually far more harmful to you. Trust me.
Catherine Bell came across as a genuinely kind person (not the Hollywood fake kind) when I met her. I wish her nothing but the best and I would hate to see her get hurt. The same goes for Brooke Daniells, although I don’t really know her. I’ve been out and living in Europe for a long time now. Is the church still treating gay people as badly as they were many years ago? I am completely out of the loop (thankfully).
Catherine is an extremely nice woman, a great actress and fun to be around.

I know Brooke from her marriage to my Nephew Ken Daniells. I am really glad to hear the support of Katherine Bell as I don’t know her but I hope she and Brooke can find some peace and happiness together. Brooke always seemed like a very nice person to me. Ken is a very sincere person as well but both he and Brooke were connected to parents that are whacked. Add a whacked out cult into the mix and you have a train wreck.
Kens mom Lori spends time watching Ken and Brookes kids from time to time and she has nothing good to say about Brooke. Raven is a HUGE kool aid drinker, and David is a staunch supporter. Beck wasn’t always serious about Scn and almost never made appearances. David and Raven seemed to think this was because he was “PTS” and pushed hard for him to get on the PTS-SP course (he finally did).
Unless David and Raven left recently, they were very active as of about 6 months ago giving tech seminars.
However these days, people leave so suddenly it can be hard to predict or tell.
