Here is another one of the scientology “press releases”– note where it was picked up. Even more obscure than the last one which was in a small paper in Richmond, Kentucky. No scientology org in Malaysia at all.
This concerns one of the people featured on ScientologyTV “Meet a Scientologist” “series” — a Hungarian hot air balloonist.
The release begins by explaining “Dalma Császár overcame a vision impairment to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a professional hot air balloon pilot.”
Of course, you would think the next line would be how Dianetics cured her. Hubbard explained it right in DMSMH:
Glasses are seen on noses everywhere around, even on children. The majority of these spectacles are perched on the face in an effort to correct a condition which the body itself is fighting to uncorrect again. Eyesight, when the stage of glasses is entered (not because of glasses), is deteriorating on the psycho-somatic principle. And this observation is about as irresponsible as a statement that when apples fall out of trees they usually obey gravity. One of the incidental things which happen to a clear is that his eyesight, if it had been bad as an aberree, generally improves markedly, and with some slight attention will recover optimum perception in time. (Far from an optician’s argument against dianetics, this assures rather good business, for clears have been known, at treatment’s end, to have to buy, in rapid succession, five pairs of glasses to compensate adjusting eyesight; and many aberrees, cleared late in life, settle down ocularly at a maximum a little under optimum.)
There are plenty of subsequent statements by Hubbard about how poor eyesight is cured not only by Dianetics but by unburdening “overts and withholds.”
But rather than announcing she was able to accomplish her dreams through auditing, they announce “her hopes of receiving her pilot’s license were dashed after failing her eye exam. Undaunted, she underwent what was then still a pioneering procedure—laser eye surgery.”
And now she is a balloon pilot…
And the rest of the announcement is how ScientologyTV “has been viewed in over 240 countries and territories worldwide” — doubtful, but I guess they could have had someone open a laptop and click on the link in a bunch of different places. They make it seem like you can watch their drivel on TV/cable all over the world. They also trot out their oft-repeated claim: “Scientology Network’s innovative content has been recognized with more than 125 industry awards, including Tellys, Communitas and Hermes Creative Awards.” Maybe Stefani Hutchison should go to work on this one… She has a unique knack for exposing their lies — and this is certainly not going to stand up to any scrutiny.

For completeness sake Stefani did follow up and came to this conclusion:
In this case, while true that the cult has received recognitions for its television network, as there is money involved rather than accolades simply based upon merit one can only shrug and feel less than impressed.

I am from Malaysia and I have been following Mike for some years. I am a Muslim and I have declared myself clear based on the fact that I have always been able to find my car keys. I am also able to exteriorize when I sleep and have met Xenu during this time. I also met LR Hubbard where he instructed me lead the people of Malaysia to state of clearness. He also instructed me to inform MacCabbage to build an org in Malaysia ASAP.

I just reviewed the evaluations of the Spy files. These paid advertisements must be the work of OSA, aiming to achieve their goal of bringing the government and hostile philosophies or societies into a state of complete compliance with the goals Scientology.
The news outlets that run these advertisements are foolish for not demanding payment from the
ChurchofScientology-cult before publishing them.
Give the public Xenu's R6 implanted body-thetans explanation every chance you get...... says
They are “Theta Clear” is why. Their “theta perception” has achieved 20/20 level, with no need of a human body nor eyeballs to “see” things. That’s how when I was a dupe would justify it all. I just thought that people with unfixable eyeballs were unlucky enough to “pull in” a human body with unfixable physical flaws.
Dianetics (and placebo quackery of all kinds) only works psychosomatically, “by suggestion” or “positive suggestion” so it won’t work on actual physical damaged unfixable human body parts.
No one’s grown a leg yet that’s been amputated, or regrown a physically removed eyeball.
Best that can be done is “theta perception” which when the Matrix 3 movie came out, after Neo had his eyeballs fried, he was able to supposedly perceive by means of something akin to the Hubbard “theta perception.”
That’s how I as a Hubbardite used to justify the Hubbard con. It’s unjustified, it’s quackery, NEVER do the placebo-at-best Dianetics quackery, best to skip Scientology.
Run from anyone selling you Scientology, and to get yourself OFF their mailing and calling lists, be sure to repeatedly ask (stress is on REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT):
“Is is true Xenu caused the Wall of Fire?”
“Is is true Xenu dumped body-thetans onto earth and Scientologists have five steps of exorcism, OT 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, to free those body-thetans off of their bodies?”
That will get you OFF their mailing and “call in” lists, and be sure to cut and paste the above two questions, and use them.

The fact IS that we won’t encounter the scientologist neither on a air baloon nor at the pub or in a crowded square, but to meet the guy we should only go to the org. Too easy, isn’t?

We have some time since passed the point of achieving uniformly unworkable technology. The only thing now is growing the money supply.

Remember “All About Radiation?”
A Church of Scientology leaflet distributed for a number of years before the book was finally discarded made remarkable claims about the book:
“In All About Radiation, we have the sane and sober views of a medical doctor on the physical facts and consequences of the actual atomic blast and the diseases resulting from it.
L. Ron Hubbard, who was one of the first nuclear physicists in the United States, has interpreted these facts and related them to human livingness, governments, and the control of populaces.
These facts when presented at the Congress on Nuclear Radiation and Health at the Royal Empire Society Hall, London, in April 1957, so impressed Parliamentary figures that they requested immediate transcription of these lectures.”
~ Promotional leaflet, Church of Scientology, 1970s
Hubbard referred to himself as a nuclear physicist on many occasions in the 1950s, such as in the tape-recorded 1956 lecture A Postulate Out of a Golden Age, where he not only claimed to be a nuclear physicist but that he was offered (and turned down) a U.S. Government post as one. This comment has been edited out of the CD version of the lecture currently offered by the L. Ron Hubbard Classic Lectures series.

Hubbard created Xenu. Xenu dumped body-thetans onto earth. Xenu upstages Hubbard's OT 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 steps.... says
Denny Owen,
Thanks for the link.
Hubbard’s ability to “think in futures” was dismal.
That he never considered penning himself as “CE” and “PhD” and calling himself “Doctor” as he does in the “Book Two” article of the above “ALL ABOUT RADIATION” of his, shows he really didn’t expect to be uncovered as a fraud.
I wonder if 1950s was chock full of frauds like Hubbard and he thought he’d get away with his charlatanism.
It’s so hard to read Hubbard today, he deserves no one’s time.

Some of his short-to novelette fiction pre-MSMH is entertaining.
As is his false life story (upbringing, marriages and related activity), and ‘war’ experience, even more so when it is exposed.
Really, the true tales of his military career are hilarious.
Someone may write a new biography with a title something like ‘The Blowhard Buffoon Who Made a Cult then a Little Ersatz Pirate Navy’. Not a snappy title, but accurate.
I would guess that perhaps you, among other commenters here, were thrown overboard at some time.
It is such nonsense, not a point of pride.
Having two years of experience in a real navy, there was no throwing people overboard. Some bullying, sure, but never that.
It was just a confection by Fatty. As other cult leaders like Shoko Asahara and Jim Jones, he took sadistic pleasure in punishing cult members.
Many commentors here clearly believe that Fatty had pure teachings and only later was his clear vision betrayed.
To believe that is not supportable, only a bad joke.
Xenu's body-thetans await OSA staffers forever....Xenu's body-thetans are coming for you, OSA..... says
So true, “…To believe that is not supportable, only a bad joke….”
It’s a joke I wished I’d not pursued and got suckered into. Xenu’s body-thetans on all of them!
