I love listening to your podcast, watching the show (a few times!), and reading your blog. I’m very sad to hear you haven’t been able to continue on with the podcast yet. I hope the church isn’t behind this. I hate to think that they’ve gained any traction with anything. I’m also so curious to hear any updates or more details on Marty Rathbun too. I imagine it being like an abusive relationship, sometimes you go back because you don’t or feel you don’t have anything without the abuser or a life with them. It angers me he went back, but I feel for him simultaneously that he felt the need. Hopefully he’ll make it out again, and this time for good. I know you guys will be there for him again. Hope all is well for you and “Lele”!!! We are all waiting for your podcast to return!

For us who followed for a couple years and we missed the reason, could you or someone share why episodes didn’t continue or resume?
I was a weekly listener but struggle to find info on any explanation or detail. I’ve been hooked for a while, you helped make sense of some things that happened to immediate family members of mine and I truly appreciate you and your perspective on other cults, mind control and things beyond Scientology.
Thank and hope your schedule and circumstances allow us to enjoy you again soon, even if it were less frequent, it’s better than never.

Hi There! I am slow on the take, but realized 4 weeks ago you and Leah had a podcast🙄 Actually been pissed off about Scientology since they got tax exempt in the 90’s so whenever something was reported I took an interest and try to follow when life didn’t get in the way. Anyway finished all 80 episodes and appreciate all the time and work you and all your cohorts devote to not only your own cause, but all the other organizations that take advantage of people who start out with pure intentions. Hope you, your families and all your people are doing well.
There’s so much to be discussed, hope to hear a new episode from you and Leah soon. I know you’re both so busy! Can’t wait to hear your takes an opinions about the latest!

Ya, what’s up? Thought they were coming in August.
Mike has said in the past that they’ve run into technical issues and he was very busy in the latter half of the year with the publication of his book.
That’s fine but why post a comeback announcement with two episodes a week no less, and then ghost everyone?
BEcause that was the intention at the time and the episodes were all ready to go and then the distribution company decided not to fulfill their contract and this is still being resolved. Hopefully it will be finalized shortly.

Hey Mike ~ I totally sympathize with whatever is going on in your life & Leah’s. I think it’s a testament to how much you have both impacted all our lives that we are so anxious for new episodes of the podcast that our anxiety that there won’t be any new ones is incredibly sad. Having also been raised in a cult the absolute truth & vulnerability you & Leah present to your audience is so empowering. After years of being “out” of my own personal cult (JW) your bravery in exposing your indoctrination and emotions has encouraged me to explore the ugly underbelly of what I was raised in. I sincerely admire your bravery & fortitude in telling your stories & then putting up with & surviving all the harassment you & your family & friends have been subjected to! I would totally understand you, your family, Leah & her family just wanting to just have “a life” away from harassment……but (selfishly) we want you guys to continue with your interviews & stories that resonate & encourage the rest of us. Do what is best for you, your family ~ Leah & her family….in the end that is what it is always about ~ ❤️
Don’t worry, we haven’t given up. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Just circumstances and schedules intervening. When my book matters have calmed down a bit I will be focusing on the podcast again.

Even though Scientology has now shrunk to a tiny fraction of what it used to be, it is still worth informing the public of all the cruel practices in which they engage.

I am extremely grateful to you for continuing to expose the abuses inflicted by this “religion.”
You are certainly correct whey you say:

and
2) then at least there is you
This is so true. This cult will be with us for many years to come. After Mike & Leah have come and gone, this cult will still be abusing people and committing all kinds of atrocities.
Also, Mick has prefaced his blog by saying, “Something can be done about it”. This is also true. The least thing that can be done about it is Mike & Leah’s pod last and no matter how long they keep doing that, it will have the least tiny effect.
Their podcast is the least little thing that can be done about the cult. Nothing else has any effect. So although their podcast will warn off a few potential new members, that is just about all that it will accomplish – aside from making some of the former victims feel good that somebody is doing something about it.
Just don’t make the mistake of thinking that anything they can do will ever put an end to this cult. That is one thing they will never be able to do.
The cult of Scientology is like the even more dangerous, larger cult of MORMONISM. It keeps marching on , evrn with thousands of trumatized victims with destroyed lives. Yet all that can be done is for brave, noble people to speak out against them. We must never give up. We must fight both cult’s “PR Machines”!!

Ok I’ve watched every episode of the aftermath and listened to every episode twice….question what does COB do for female companionship?
It is not widely known and it is a “High Crime” for anyone to tell this secret.
But in an official church ceremony, he had his right hand named “Gladys” and his left hand named “Isobelle”.
