This tells you everything you need to know about the state of the GAG II “boom” at Flag.
It’s a massive bust.
Not only are they desperate to get people onto Solo NOTs, they don’t even have public on Super Power or the Running Program. If they did, they would not be able to afford to send out their tech staff to try and convince people to arrive for services — they would be too busy delivering.
I have NEVER seen an entire tech division sent out on tour before….
It must be grim at Flag. All nighters. Scrubbing dumpsters. Rice and beans. And every “handling” based on the “fact” that the Flag staff are out ethics and are “counter intentioned.” The thought never crosses anyone’s mind that there may be something wrong with what is being done, because that sort of thinking will get you into a sec check faster than an IAS Reg pockets a check.
The only solution to the constant exposure of the true state of affairs inside the bubble is to stop communicating to anyone using email. But today that means not being able to promote events, fundraising or even services. But if they don’t rah rah they know their stats are going to crash. It’s a real Catch 22.
Take a look at Tony Ortega’s weekly Sunday Funnies for numerous other examples… And neither of us can even include everything we are sent each week. It is a deluge of bloopers disguised as promotion.
UPDATE:
That special announcement (mentioned in the last Flag OTC minutes) at the Maiden Voyage return event last night?
It was the great man hisself. “I’m baaaack”.
Dear Leader introduced a video about the new “staff training building” (the Coachman) and invited everyone to attend the ribbon cutting today at 1pm. Sure enough, reports from downtown confirm there is now a big red ribbon on the parking lot side of the Coachman ready for him to yank.
He sure loves his buildings….
He also told his adoring fans (though not as many as he would have hoped for) that he’d be there again at next week’s event.

Over on the South African corporate tech blog, there’s a success story for the Survival Rundown that includes this little gem:
I blew a mass that was between me and the physical universe. The mass was invisible and I have had this mass for so many lifetimes that I had no idea that it existed, until I ran this process. When the mass blew, I felt connected to the physical universe for the first time!
Now how do you argue with that logic?
Hallie Jane says
I certainly am not surprised. I only went to flag a couple of times and got misprogrammed, a bucketload of wrong indications in and out of session, ignored, lied to, refusal to answer my questions, sneered at by the examiner, openly invalidated, ignored by several DofPs, rudely spoken to, ignored by haughty, bitchy MAAs for no reason, had my family invalidated, was gossiped about between staff, and my viewpoint and originations were ignored by my auditors! The day I left I got 3 different tech estimates from 3 different people, all, in the hallway. I had many evaluative comm cycles about my auditing, where nothing was written down to go in the folder (gross out tech). I saw exhausted, unhealthy staff, extremely stressed, disheveled staff, and staff that looked so leathered, they looked like street people. They were all regging of course. Their condition was very disturbing. Flag is the reason I left in 2007. I went there after 23 years thinking I’d have some nice enhancement and finish my bridge. I went to Flag and Scn wasn’t there.
Cooper J Kessel says
Fortunately Hallie you have your obnosis and your integrity IN. Good on you!

Les, please don’t talk about this idea for GATIII to loudly. It could actually happen!
Your example of taking hyperbole literally, like mis-duplicating something LRH said or altering importances, is DM’s standard operating procedure. After all, we already have the “Ideal Orgs Campaign” which is based on a complete mis-duplicaton and wanton disregard of what LRH actually said in his Ideal Orgs bulletin. Please don’t encourage this psycho with any new ideas!
On the other hand, please do. It would only hasten his demise.

What is this wonton disregard of which you speak? You can have your egg drop, hot & sour, birds nest and velvet corn soups all you want, but don’t give short shrift to the work-a-day wonton and its many contributions to American pallet.
theo Sismanides says
Thanks Mike for all this news and info. It looks like DM’s nemesis is his inability to see anything wrong with his decisions and actions.
Aquamarine says
That’s right, Theo! And you just helped me cognite that DM cannot have a Qual, won’t allow one. In fact, HE is the only one who is permitted to Qual but it takes him many years to do this. Periodically he himself “Quals” what he himself has already released as a revision that is billed as “pure tech” or “lost tech”. He always calls it something catchy but essentially its a modification of what he already released.
Didn’t LRH say in some PL or HCOB that the failure of that original ancient, Galactic org board upon which he based the one he drew up in 1965 was that it had no Qualifications Division? I find this an intriguing coincidence.

It is so odd that this clash of worldviews that local Scientologists have versus the reality of the real world around them, and then even some ex members of which I’d be one, am still curious and would like to observe their behavior and comment, but that they as a group are so opposed to not being observed on the same terms as other groups in the world allow themselves to be observed.
All the things that Scientology as a movement is still hung up behaving. is why they are still properly called a cult (popular definition of cult).
What ever happened to Mary Story, is she at the Int Base still, or will they send her back to Clearwater someday?
Miscavige has so ballsed up any of the common sense that some of the members have tried to make (which means decide NOT to use Hubbard’s harsh ethics GO/OSA tactics) and really become friendly (“Friendliest Place in the World” genuine friendly) to just let themselves get on and mingle with regular Clearwater citizens, Clearwater’s on board Scientologists and even with ex Scientologists and critics.

GAT III is the “golden age of management”
Situation: Ron says “what it takes is a totally pitiless product officer.” (From FEBC tapes)
Data: It has been found that many execs don’t scream at their juniors correctly. It has been found that many staff don’t scream at their public with enough ferocity.
Why: Many staff still believe in that ARC shit and object to the correct tech of screaming, degrading, demanding and villifying and overwhelming to gain obedience from other staff and public.
Solution: GAT III has been developed in order to export correct screaming tech to all staff and correct obedience from all public.
Sure to be a winner

Delaying the opening of the Super Power building for so long was a big mistake, but not as big a mistake as opening it. They may as well have put up a giant sign on the FH that says, “things are not going well.”
remoteviewed says
scnethics,
IMHO the reason they opened the SP building was because of a pending lawsuit. Same with the SP Rundowns.
Fact is I don’t think there is a single tech terminal there who has the quals or prerecs to deliver them according to the Tech Advices on DeOp which includes the WOOC eval.
These include such things as KTL/LOC and full hatting which includes full Post Purpose and Product Clearing.
The reason why Ron put Super Power on the “back burner” as he said and had NWC pilot these actions and rundowns instead.
Another thing was that Super Power was supposed to be delivered to staff first and then the public like KTL/LOC was supposed to be but the Junta screwed the pooch on that one back in the ’90’s just as they’re are currently screwing the pooch on “Super Power” delivery.
Now the Running Programs prerecs aren’t as rigorous. In fact anyone can do this rundown per C/S Series 109 which is a totally objective RD while Super Power requires full case setup and repair including a C/S 53 to an F/Ning list at least and preferably KTL/LOC (which includes CTPs directed toward handling PTSness and is not just a study action) not just Objectives NKA SRD redone.
In other words despite having people run endless hours of objectives and redo their purif. The RD is being *quickied* and because of this fact the lack of results will soon be evident.
MJ says
If you want to see the results of Scientology, take a real good look at David Miscavige.
remoteviewed says
MJ
I beg to differ there.
Miscavige does *not* exemplify the results of Scientology.
MJ says
I think he does. Look at the state of Scientology at present. It seems to me to be a reflection of the self appointed leader. I’m not disputing the technology, just one man’s warped use of it and the trickle down effect.
remoteviewed says
MJ,
If Miscavige represents anything it is the “results” of Black Dianetics because what he and the organization are doing isn’t Scientology.
Regarding “trickle down” that is assuming there are no individuals outside Miscavige’s bubble within a bubble AKA the Magic Kingdom AKA Int Base and I can assure there are others outside his narrow perimeter who share his twisted objectives.

With this line up of “Technical Stars” having to pack their bags and leave the base it looks like the Danger Formula is being applied.
They have to bypass their normal routine, which means they should be very busy right where they are, and get on a plane to handle the situation.
I was in our Ideal Org yesterday to get a copy of the new Source Magazine which has a cover story on The Cause Resurgence RD, the place was empty of public and I only saw three staff members. My point is that when this Tech. Team arrives they are going to find in many Orgs that there are no public there to route to Flag.
Non-Existence is the next condition looming just ahead for Dave’s church.
MJ says
I think you’re being generous.
Cooper J Kessel says
Bingo!! Treason is the highest condition any org is in IMHO. Many simply wallow around in confusion not knowing what to do to generate any interest from the field.
Most missions are gone, Orgs are empty and now Pac and Flag are scratching their collective asses.
MJ says
It not only sucks to be Miscavige, it also itches.
theholedoesnotexist says
Mike is right. A full tech division being sent out on tours would evoke immediate declares and expulsion. It has never happened. I tried once to have a C/S go out on tour. I got a BC student. So I’m going with the condition of Confusion. These staff still haven’t figured out where they really are yet. There is no scientology and hasn’t been the moment these tech personnel accepted Orders to meet sales quotas for their pc’s, accept cash for ethics and OT passes and squirrely stuff all day long, like waiting for the meter to whistle dixie.
I still like to help people so I will give them a clue: You are in the David Miscavige Fundraising Corporation for the benefit of Dave Miscavige. I’m being bad feeding a cognition like this, but timing is everything. Now that they are away from the Fort, if they keep walking and don’t return, will anyone notice?
NOLAGirl says
Good to see you THDNE. Hope all is well with you. I’ve missed you. 🙂
Valerie says
Just because they are away from the Fort doesn’t mean they weren’t pre-implanted with GPS tracking chips before the tour began. HOWever. My first thought when I saw the list of the people being sent on the tour was . . . “I wonder which of those people doesn’t come back.” They are all probably required to sleep with one eye open to make sure no one escapes.
Aquamarine says
It certainly does sound like a Danger Formula, but then, what is the sense behind the action? Are these particular tech terminals better regges than the Flag Div 6 staff whose hats it is to do these tours? Auditors are not necessarily top notch registrars and the two hats don’t necessarily combine well either. A registrar just sells blocks of intensives, right? No matter what a reg focuses on, its essentially a red herring as he doesn’t concern himself with what type of auditing the PC actually needs – that’s the D of P’s hat, isn’t it? I’m thinking that perhaps Flag doesn’t actually HAVE the trained Div 6 Tours Reg staff to send to orgs sell these things so they’re sending the Tech Staff who will at least know what these actions are. Whether or not they can sell them is another story. I’m trying to think with this.
Aquamarine says
Whoops, just re-read the post above and they are sending D of Ps with the tech/registrars. Still, its weird. So glad I’m not there.
Potpie says
It used to be they would send out people who
completed these actions to promote them and
fsm. Guests so to speak along with reg terminals
on these world tours. Fantastic wins from those
who received whatever R/D or service being promoted.
Now obviously there are no completions to talk
about their fantastic wins or their wins are so dingy
they dare not let them loose on unsuspecting public.
Quite an impressive list of tech terminals to go out
and promote their product. The sad part is the
public they are promoting to on this tour don’t know
enough to ask themselves why these tech terminals
are not at Flag doing their job?
This should be called the Out Of ARC Flag World Tour.
There definitely is no reality on the part of the unsuspecting
public. And the affinity coming from the World Tour group
probably would not be the kind of affinity one should receive
enthusiastically…..unless you want a knife in your back.
Chuck Beatty says
DO you know who the hot best Flag auditors are today, by word of mouth?
I recall in the 1976-1983 era, the public amongst themselves had their favorite Flag auditors, back when some FCCIs would only be audited by their favorite Flag auditors.
Does that still exist, that unofficial liking of their favorite Flag auditors, does anyone know!
That old personal touch of one’s favorite Flag auditor, and the individual reputations of the top Flag auditors used to matter, at least unofficially amongst the public coming to have their cases cracked, or getting their Ls.

I suddenly thought of a good index statistic, to view, which the years of excellent journalists and writers who have in the last 10 years taken public interest in Scientology, what THEY could look at, to gauge this “collapse” or not, is to look at Sysco’s statistics!
Sysco provides the bulk food for the staffs at the Int Base, PAC, Flag.
The large US Sea Org facilities use Sysco food shipments.
Certain food items purchased, the amounts Scientology Sea Org entities pay (via their Flag Crew, PAC Estates, etc, the Sea Org sub corporations that purchase the movement Sea Org members’ basic weekly eating vittles) could be somehow gained, reported on, and thus really see the ups and downs.
Possibly some former Sysco people who see the Sea Org’s decades long patterns of bulk purchasing, could judge best. Leaking that info, invite whoever can leak that, to do so, to gauge particularly the Flag scene behind the scenes.
Espiando says
Chuck, do you know how large Sysco is? Do you know how Sysco is set up in terms of its distribution network? I do. I’ve been in the food industry for a long time. They’re huge. They’re also decentralized. You’d need the purchase figures from the local distribution office, and they’re under restricted access. You need the exact right person in the accounts receivable office at the distro center that serves Flag to get the information you want (the shipping records are too widespread and diversified, especially since Flag and the Fort Homicide are getting LTL shipments.
In other words, nice thought, but fat chance.

So the decision by the Degenerate Maniac (DM) to have all members redo their Bridge/coursework is a MASSIVE FAIL that is hastening the ongoing implosion of the Co$.
Ronit Charny says
Very accurate observation! Flag is empty! I recently spoke to some old friends from Clearwater who still addicted to KA. Each of them separately said: The new beautiful building is EMPTY!
The poor staff are probably being tortures by the Execs and the Execs are being tortured by the Senior Execs, and so on. What an idiotic game to play?! First, the commit crimes on the public, squirrel the Tech, rip them off and suck them dry with all the regging. Most of the Scn community is aware of it, and do not want to come back to Flag for obvious reasons. Result in empty building!
Martin Padfield says
Your accurate comment, this post and several others have reminded me of something that’s been nagging at the back of my mind for a while now.
When I loudly and noisily left the building in 2009 the line that was being used on me, then Sam and others locally was that “Padfield and his ilk are just trying to pull people off the Bridge”. This, self-evidently to a Corp Scientologist, is the worst crime imaginable and I did wonder – what was that really what I was doing? Was I really an evil intentioned being? If you assume that “The Bridge” = Good, and not being on “The Bridge” = bad, OK. Then yes, I probably was. But it’s not quite as simple as that.
Where does being “on the Bridge” in Miscavige’s Scientology actually lead? The honest truth is that ultimately you become like John Allender (Squirrelbuster) or take on the persona of some one like the locally despised OT VIII Pavanne Fraser or arrogance and compassion-less Tom Cruise. Or bankrupt, or with questionable mental health, and having to continually and ruthlessly compromise everything you know to be true and right. Every week I hear stories of people locally I knew and respected disappearing down a nightmare rabbit hole into illness and premature death.
So yes, I can happily say that I AM trying to pull people off this “Bridge” – it is a Bridge to Nowhere, never better discussed than in this post by Jeff Hawkins http://leavingscientology.wordpress.com/2010/02/10/the-bridge-to-nowhere/
Chuck Beatty says
I have to give you and others who comment here, who are providing such excellent open ongoing history of the Scientology movement’s activities, a HUGE thankyou.
This whole period of these years now (the last 10 or so) of ex members of Scientology providing increasing amounts of insider history, ongoing, through chat sites, and now you Mike, the ex long term ex Sea Org vet from the Apollo days, this blog provides commenting other fellow members a platform to provide so much relevant ongoing history, this is all unprecedented I think for a group, like LRH’s Scientology group, to be looked over and assessed.
Thanks so much for staying on top and commenting on the major themes of Scientology.
Flag truly is the big culminating money drawing and funding zone for members to exchange their “donations” for services, and now today they are so heavily hit up for straight donations (which are more traditional of major religions, and thus straight donations while not LRH’s fare, the straight donations are more traditional ways to hit up a religion’s members).
It is sad, but all your coverage Mike, I think the biggest theme that this today’s thread supports, the theme is application of the tech seems to be dwindling.
I think when some of the newer, “closer to PT”, generation of Sea Org tech people defect, find their voices, learn enough about how the world perceives them, and speak up, hopefully we get even more detailed insider views, from the remaining “old” Apollo generation tech people.
The education and catch up learning of the ex members plays a part in how well they can compare the long patterns, even to understand that LRH’s worldview needs comparison also, for there to be saner long range internal changes.
So long as there is real estate stability to Scientology, and Flag seems real estate stable, I think there is no “collapse” imminent.
Collapse in the tech hierarchy too, needs even more discussion and details, and I greatly appreciate hearing all those details.
It all seems to hang on how many Flag public who can be regged to continue to keep up the 1-2 million weekly GI figures.
If the weekly Flag GI figure starts plummeting to 500,000 and lower, consistently ranging in the half million dollars a week level, and lower, then the costs of the Flag complex of buildings upkeep costs will really be the tipping point AGAINST the Scientology movement, and really signal collapse.
I think had we someone who sits on the weekly FP committee who sees the stability, or not, of that weekly allocation that Flag is allowed to keep (the rest going upwards to Sea Org reserves), is the key figures to hear.
I really wish then that we get a Finance Office defector, or FBO like defector, someone who sees what the FSO allocation is, or rather what the FC allocation figure is, the upkeep amounts to pay the utilities bills, weekly, and so forth.
Any news on the weekly graduations held now, I supposed, at the Flag Building?
Flag weekly graduation events usually display to the members themselves, they sit there and listen to their own “completions” of their paying (or outer org) service completion members, and I’d really like to hear some firsthand Flag graduation stories of recent times.
This coverage is just unprecedented, your blog’s daily staying on the facts on the ground, is really unbelievable in Scientology history. (What would LRH say to all of this, can always be asked, although many of his own strategic reactions today might not be the movement’s best choices, but I always thought that his ideas and logic were the guidelines of what to do in big ways, and this Miscavige era has unquestionably strayed from focus on the tech delivery that excites real increased participation and not merely administrative enforcement of greater participation by means of ethics pressure.)
remoteviewed says
Hi Chuck,
Maybe the real estate will prop them up. They’ve as in the International Land Lord’s office has managed to con the laity into handing over the deed to the Church that they purchased.
So it really isn’t costing CSI anything to purchase these buildings. Since they are in reality purchased by the public in that area and then “donated” to them.
Not only that.
After the building is renovated. Again at great expense to the public. They rent the building back to the staff and public.
Can we say *scam*.
The rich donors aren’t going to care one way or another because to them it’s a nice tax write off. They’re probably aware that the fix is in. Then of course there are the true believers who believe in the fallacy that if you put an Org there people will come. You know the one’s who tore apart their or their kid’s training package or college fund or whatever so they could have this big white elephant called an “Ideal Org” that they now feel obligated to support because they’ve invested so much capita into it.
And the beat goes on.
However at some point the gravy train is going to stop and the Church will be forced to start selling of these properties or maybe leasing them or whatever.
And this is what I see happening on a larger scale as opposed the smaller scale which is already occurring in the near future.
Could take several years or maybe sooner when the Church of Scientology collapses from its own corruption.

It doesn’t take a genius to see the mechanism at work, that is if you are outside the bubble. If a group oppresses, uses fear and intimidation, cuts comm lines, plunders bank accounts, breaks up families – eventually its members will decide not to participate. This effectively has been their operating basis for decades, and within the last decade they’ve turned it up to 11.
So, what do they do now? That is the interesting question. DM has been quoted that “power is when people listen to you.” What is their Plan B once people stop listening to them? Have they even considered that members would stop listening to them? From the outside, it looks like that’s what is happening.
With DM at the helm they can only slide further down the Tone Scale.

GAG II was a predictable bust from the beginning because it invalidated past PC and OT gains by putting everyone en mass at the bottom of the Bridge. But what makes it gigantic bust is it cannot be corrected because this is Dear Leader’s program and he will never see something wrong in himself.
(I know that it is Dear Leader’s program, because who else would C/S everyone’s case to the bottom of the Bridge?)
To paraphrase LRH: If you have ever wondered if you are a SP or not, don’t worry your are not, because a real SP cannot find fault with self.
Because of this defect, over time GAG II will progress to a fatal blow for Co$.
