The latest and greatest from the biggest and best OT Committee on earth.
Some interesting tidbits in here.
As announced by the ex-WDC member Anna Paddock (one of the morons who showed up at the Rathbun’s to check on their “squirreling”) — the “Clear event” was a “big success” with 30 attendees. Remember, scientology claims 12,000+ members in the Tampa Bay area. Doesn’t appear to be a “big success” even if there is only 10% of that number of scientologists.
David Pomeranz’s wife is the “OT IX and X Get Ready Pjt Officer”… Must be good to have a lifetime and beyond appointment. She is going to be working on this for eternity given there is NO OT IX and X. They have been “getting ready” for these phantom levels since OT VIII was released in 1988! In another 30 years they will have the “Get Ready to Get Ready Pjt Officer.”
They have a Deputy Chairman for Fundraising! The single most important activity of ANY “OT Committee” is making money so they have to have a special deputy for this.
Here’s a fascinating fact which may or may not be true: Orlando has 30% of Florida’s population — but they cannot get 5 people interested in scientology. So they will solve it with a new building. After all, look what it’s done for Mighty Miami. They quickly sank back into oblivion once their ribbon was yanked. Soon they will have a “one year anniversary” to celebrate accomplishing nothing, like all the rest of the ideal morgues.
Check out that scientology math — “years ago we had 13 years to go and 8 of them (maybe more?) have been “removed” so now we have just who knows how many left to go…” But our “postulate” is that after a dinner it will be “done.”
These people actually think the rest of the orgs in the US are going to be done by the end of 2018… Seriously??
Don’t forget the OTC is the “Place to Be” on Monday night. Unless there are reruns of Green Acres on, the silverware needs to be put in the drawer or your nails need buffing.
Tonight:
Another special episode of The Aftermath at 10pm — this time we discuss the life and lies of L. Ron Hubbard.
Golden-Era Parachute says
OT Committee should conjure ‘the Thetan’ of LRH to devise a grand comeback because here’s how I see it: 10x ‘Life Force’ dwindling from Scientology, 10x MEST expansion of new Idle Morgues. The new IAS motto: Dauntless. Defiant. Dwindling.

Well this is interesting, Johnny T. has been named in a sexual assault complaint this stuff is growing so fast with stories of sexual, physical and mental abuses. But no one is crowing about $cn and their continued abuses. I do not get that, so many have poured out their souls reliving those darkest of days. We out here are horrified of these abuses. We need news agencies to start this so it will become and absolute must for authorities to start a criminal investigation. It is time to shake things up. Some one farts inside a elevator at the White House there will be an investigation pronto to find the ” squeaker ” in the elevator. We the people cannot stand abuses towards animals so what is the difference? Turn on the heat to the max and yes Dave that stench you smell is your ass burning in hell. Mike and Leah your work with all producers and staff that makes it possible for you all to be a voice for all who have or are still suffering. ” Let’s kick the tires and light the fires” the time is now to act and stop this org. from continuing to exist.
WhatAreYourCrimes says
It would be fun to interview the “hundreds” of people who supposedly enter the Copenhagen Org weekly
“…not body routed, they walk in on their own…” WEE!
I’m pretty sure they are all rubber-neckers gawking at the shambling mess that is scientology.
WhatAreYourCrimes says
Hey Staff. Thursday afternoon is rapidly approaching. How are the stats looking?
You know you can easily toss this ridiculous weight off your shoulders. Just walk away.
A diamond says
Looking forward to tonight when LRH, the sociopathic valor thief is exposed to millions. Wait ‘til America and CoS members (we know some are watching) hear about the military medals LRH was supposedly awarded, including made up ones and medals that weren’t around during his time in the Navy. Imagine the CoS members faces when they hear that LRH was married 3 times and abandoned his many children or when he kidnpped his infant daughter and took her to Cuba to extort his then wife. The emperor will have no clothes after tonight! KAW
Mike Rinder says
Remember — you can only fit so much information into 43 mins of airtime. We tried to include as much as possible without just repeating the excellent coverage in Alex Gibney’s Going Clear.
WhatAreYourCrimes says
Wait a minute. LRH himself said he was married only twice, but never had a second wife. Wrap your head around that statement by a supposed Supreme Being.
Google it.
Let me grab a dictionary. Maybe I didn’t understand one of his words (GUFFAW!).
WhatAreYourCrimes says
Interviewer: “How many times have you been married?”
Hubbard: “How many times have I been married? I’ve been married twice, and I’m very happily married just now, I have a lovely wife and I have 4 children, my first wife is dead [smiles].”
Interviewer: “What happened to your second wife?”
Hubbard: “I’d never had a second wife.”

Should I be surprised that there are 174 on staff in Atlanta? That seems like a lot. Are there any public or does that 174 represent all of them in Atlanta?
Old Surver Dude says
174 on staff??? How much are they being paid a week? 50 cents? Lower?
Moxie says
47 cents. 47 x 1 = 47x expansion baby!
PeaceMaker says
You have to watch Scientology’s PR and propaganda words carefully – they said that the org opened with 174 staff, how many are actually there now is a reality they don’t want to address. But the “ideal” orgs are required to have a grossly inflated number of staff when they open, and they will pull all sorts of tricks to meet the goal for the opening, including temporarily bringing staff in from other locations, probably counting a lot of part-time positions and possibly even double-counting part timers doing more than one job. The staff count is almost certainly now well on its way to crashing back to a more typical dozen or so hard core staff, plus about as many part-timers from among the remaining local diehards. Nonetheless, the old trumped-up number continues to be used to try to keep up morale, and hide the truth.
Harpoona Frittata says
This week’s nomination for BIGGEST Lie told by the cult to its duped and cognitively comatose Flag OTC members: “The average GI of an Ideal Org is now SIX times higher than before they went Ideal”.
Suuuure it is, and if you swallow that one without blinking then, boy howdy, do we ever have a great deal to offer you on a nice, barely used Bridge to Nowhere 😉
These cult con men have no shame and have been encouraged in their fraud efforts by the fact that no one in the cherch ever questions their very obviously bogus stats.

Absolutely true. They make ambulance chasers look like Holy Saints.

WhatAreYourCrimes says
We all owe a debt of gratitude to the first warriors that started the avalanche of truth and the exposure of the human rights abuses of scientology.
Doug Parent says
Due to time constraints it would not be possible to acknowledge everyone who has put their own butts on the line to expose the lies since day one. But in addition to the whistle blowers and what is referred to as “the old guard” there was also the first major Independent breakaway movement that sought to take only what was beneficial in Scientology (arguably…I’ll save everyone the trouble) and make an attempt to help thousands who were trying to get Scientology free from the mafia-like environment inside the cult. David Mayo and the Advanced Ability Center was a driving force in the 80’s and I feel they deserve mention for the role they played in getting 30,000 or more people out of Scientology. For first timers-never ins they might find this glimpse back in history enlightening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IxWFOWj17M

Alonzo — I thought you had a major issue with Tony from reading some of your comments. You read his blog?
Doug Sprinkle says
I got another solicitation to join staff in Atlanta. They included the quote ” later on if we make it what will be your answer to the question, did you help?” Apparently designed to make me feel guilty if I do not join.
I was hoping to find details about salary but that information was not included in the mailing.
Idle Morgue says
Oh…. I “helped” alright….?
I helped SUPPRESS Scientology !
Thanks to everyone out there who “contributed to the motion” …..?
You are all HUMINATARIANS with honors!
Old Surver Dude says
With honors, huh. Is beer involved?
Aquamarine says
Without too much trouble you can find the original LRH quote “Awful pay” – or maybe its “Terrible pay!” as part of a reference called “Auditors Wanted”. That phrase has since been deleted from staff recruitment promo, Doug. Which makes it squirrel.
How I wish the cult would send me one so I could return it to them with a heads up that it didn’t pass the Verbal Tech Checklist, and how dare they squirrel LRH that way! Would be fun. Or, I could ask why there was no mention of any compensation, and is the salary minimum wage? Fun.
Doug Sprinkle says
that’s a great idea I’ll do it
WhatAreYourCrimes says

One phone call a day from aosh eu, who still is trying to sell me something.
One letter a week, with promos, usually something like redo your purif, tr’s, student hat and upgrade you ias status.
5-6 email a day, at least 2-3 from the org, 1 from aosh Eu and, 1-2 from ias.
1-2 phone calls a week from registrars, c/s and supervisers with questions “when we will have a pleasure to see you?”
1-2 messages in social networks from same persons with same questions.
Occasional small talks with your friends who are actively inside about returning on course or proceed processing.

My noodle is fleeting. That’s some shunny fit!
Aquamarine says
Along with several orgs, I have many Still Ins phone numbers and emails blocked.
I left quietly, didn’t go public. These people who had been my friends turned on me and shunned me and whispered behind my back.
I felt uncomfortable with them, like they were being falsely nice.
I had tried to reason with them, I had showed them policies that were being violated. All polite respectful comm cycles. Each time it was like talking to a wall.
After a while, I gave up and accepted that I wasn’t getting thru and would never get thru.
Clearly, they didn’t get it. Clearly they either couldn’t read or just weren’t listening, and after a period of sincere if rather naive effort, I decided, “OK, have it your way, then.” I was done.
And when I’m done, I’m DONE.
Goodby, good luck. No “revenge”, no “getting even”. That’s not my way. I’m just done, that’s all.
Of course, this was easier for me because I didn’t have kids in there – Just “friends”.
Early on, I knew they’d be calling me after a while. They’d almost have to.
And they did. And I tried again, but then was told that anyone who wanted to talk to me needed OSA clearance first. No surprise.
Well, they had reached out to me. I was there, I said sure, we can talk, but then THEY pulled back and I said, OK, whatever, you were the ones who wanted to talk to me, sorry you have this problem.
Because, seriously, I do consider it THEIR problem. To me, it does feel like the Church of Scientology left me and not vice versa.
I’m a lot happier and my life is much better in every way.
Its a suppressive organization. Their staff and my former “friends” are blocked from both my phone and email.
That said, they know where to find me. My address and place of business is no secret to them. If they show up needing a place to stay, I’ve got an attic they can hang upside down in.
Just kidding. I have a couch and an air mattress. I could take in 2 of them, and I would do so. I wouldn’t turn them away.
In the interim, though, blocking them sends my own singular, silent but clear message.
Moxie says
You’re a good person Aquamarine. God bless you.
Aquamarine says
Thanks, Moxie. Backatcha with that.
Moxie says
If you’re ever in LA, give me a holler.
Aquamarine says
Will do!
Doug Parent says
Bonnie there has always been a large segment of people in Scientology who took limited services and also lived paycheck to paycheck. The pricing structure in Scientology (in my opinion) is such that it keeps people on the slow train and keeps more people engaged and active dedicated members in the culture in order to maximize donations over a long long period of time. Many of these people never make it up the higher processing levels due to the exorbitant costs. These people are more likely to toe the line, stay off the internet and form social alliances within the culture, isolating themselves from outside world mindset. “Bitter enders.” People who make fast progress find out how expensive the OT7 hamster wheel is and how crazy the organization really is the closer you get to the top. So Scientology actually safeguards it’s membership by slowing them down or finding ways to sidetrack them on expensive side-routes not on the “Bridge to Total Freedom” I think this is a copyrighted phrase even.
Cindy says
Doug, you voiced my sentiments exactly. I’ve always thought that the ones lower on the Bridge who were aspiring for the top, but who couldn’t move quickly due to money constraints were the most brainwashed and loyal die hards of all. That is because they still have the dream intact and still believe all the claims and promises that will come to them “at the top of the Bridge.” It is what keeps them on board the slow train up the Bridge to Total Freedom. The people who were on OT VII and VIII saw first hand the predatory regging for every dime you had or would ever make, saw the non-results in some cases. I personally knew a lot of OTs who were disillusioned and unhappy with the way they were treated at Flag and on the Ship. The ones lower didn’t have to deal with any of this and so still believed in “the friendliest place on earth.” And you’re right that Scn actually safeguards its membership by slowing these people down or finding ways to sidetrack them on expensive side-routes not on the Bridge. Good comment, Doug.

That’s Jeff Pomerantz.

OT,s have been “gaslighted” beyond belief!
They have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars…..and spent years and decades of their lives …. going OAT TEA….
They have to be right and they will and do die….to be right!
Definition of gaslighting: manipulating someone by psychological means so that person questions their own sanity.
OAT TEAS are cause over nothing except what Scientology tells them to be cause over.
They even stopped questioning their own sanity because it hurts and it gets real expensive
So they are conditioned to agree with whatever Scientology (David Miscavige) tells them.
They are nothing but Robots that can’t think for themselves!
Talk about “stimulus response” implants from Scientology.
Oat Teas are programmed!

TONIGHT?? ALREADY? No WAITING?
Yipppeee Skippy Hoooray!
This one ought to be GOOD. I’m so glad you are doing this one. I don’t know how to wake people up, but showing the idol’s feet of clay will plant some seeds. Even in the depths of my devotion, I held a little corner of doubt planted by the Hubbard death fiasco. The lies of his life are key to coming to terms with the fact that he just made everything up.
Bonnie Johnson says
They’ve opened a building in Puerto Rico? Puerto Rico is a very poor country how the hell are those people going to be able to work the $ci program? Where will they get the massive amounts of money it takes? It would be interesting to know who the shit came up with such a lame idea.
Mike Rinder says
Miscavige invested in a building there. He sort of had no choice. For a long time they were housed in a building owned by the former Mission Holder of PR. It was then turned into an org and stayed in the premises pretty much rent free. Then they declared him. He posts here occasionally. They HAD to get a new building. But it’s the same story in many places. Hell, they bought a building for “Battle Creek Org” at the START of the “ideal org” program (same with New Haven and then Philly, Chiucago and Detroit and a others) and they still sit empty and decaying…

What a load. In order to avoid being pummeled to death to join and get posted on the OTC, I joined staff at Belleair Msn, Filing, on Sundays when no one was there. I just could not stand these stupid meetings and have always abhorred someone telling me what I need to do to be this way or that way. Turned out staff was no solution either because “as an OT” the powers that be at that mission would not let me get away with just filing on Sundays. Pressure pressure pressure – always. “OT is a verb not a noun?” So is “sodomize.”

I’ve always thought that DM will eventually package up processes from the old OT4-7, maybe pull some stuff out from the PAB’s, and repackage them as OT 9 & 10. Of course, he’d have to wait until all of those old OT4-7 completions die off. But given the number of OT 8’s who had their “Truth Revealed” – i.e., the absolute BS that this level, and all before are – I’m guessing that if DM does release something called OT 9 & 10, another half of those completions will quit. And it will become progressively harder and harder for those remaining to not notice their absence.
Gus Cox says
I can’t wait for OT IX and X to come out! I wanna hear what the first person who quits the clams in disgust after doing them will say. I mean, these are the OT levels that are finally gonna make them able to exteriorize and fly their thetans around outside their bodies! We’ve only been waiting… 30 effing years!
That part just fascinates me – there’s been nothing in thirty years. OTs have got old and died since stupid OT VIII came out. Infants have grown up and have kids of their own. It’s so obvious those levels don’t exist, but the dupes have a IX and X prep officer or whatever! Orders of magnitude what a joke. Orders of minitude is more like it.

I’ll never forget one of the last OTC meetings I attended. Every single item on the agenda (after reading the meaningless minutes) was either for a fund raiser or a mini-fund raiser to finance a real fund raiser. I was beginning to let the dog out of the bag by rolling my eyes in incredulity. My CICS attitude was noticed.
I recently was chatting to a friend, and explained to her how when I first came into scn I was very honest. Early on in my auditing (Life Repair, in fact) I realised one had to be completely open and honest or one would get no benefit. What’s the point in fooling yourself – and paying for it. Then I became less and less honest over the next 10 years as I came to realise PR was far more important in scn than case gain. Then at the end I was doing my last set of conditions (from Confusion) with some OT7. I once again reverted to my natural honesty, and told this OT7: I don’t ever again intend doing anything in scn unless it actually changes conditions for the better for me in life. I was done with PR. Having done those conditions honestly for the first time in my life, I realised I had to leave. And having had my cognition –
I DID improve conditions in my life for the better.
The higher up the Bridge people were, the less honest. That applied to me as well.
Cat W. says
“I came to realise PR was far more important in scn than case gain…
The higher up the Bridge people were, the less honest.”
Thank you for sharing this. This has been my suspicion – that Scientology practices not only don’t improve people but actually make them into much less ethical (according to that actual English definition of the word), much less honest, compassionate and humane people than they are by nature. I think bull-baiting is the first key — get people to suppress any reaction to being verbally abused and get them to verbally abuse others. That gets people to suppress their natural empathy and sense of justice. In conjunction with that, the other key is CoS’s redefinition of ethics to mean “what is flattering (good PR) to Scientology” rather than truthful, honest, at integrity, or kind or fair to others. Between these 2 things, it seems CoS makes people behave sociopathically while promising to rid the planet of sociopathy.
I’m so glad for people like you who rediscovered your native honesty.
Moxie says
Interesting take on bullbaiting Cat.
Idle Morgue says

Python Swoope says
Doc….I just want “SuperPowers”……like TC has…..You know what I mean.
Doug Parent says
“The higher up the Bridge people were, the less honest.” Indeed. Talk to the majority of those that left and ask them what leaving the cult did for them, it was a resurgence of their personal integrity. And speaking out is therapeutic as it puts them into a “causative” posture that unsticks “the flow” of withheld communication, suppressed and invalidated views and observations that were NEVER SAFE to utter openly to another Scientologist lest they be subject to the “Knowledge Report” snitching culture. Leaving isn’t enough, it’s important to tell your story to another human being. It actually makes a person more able and they can heal.
Cindy says
Yes Doug!!! leaving isn’t enough. To heal you do need to tell your story to others. When I came out publicly about leaving I received such an influx of love and support and admiration. IT was amazing. But more importantly, it moved me from Effect to Cause and so it was indeed therapeutic.
georgemwhite says
I am so fortunate to have left Scientology in 1989 after the release of OT VIII, Truth Revealed.
The OT committee that I was on from 1979 until 1989 consisted of the same nonsense. Hubbard
claimed that he developed Scientology in the role of Lucifer. The fate that it has experienced over the last thirty years is a manifestation of Hubbard’s occult background. Theosophy had a published Journal named “Lucifer” at the turn of the 20th century. Hubbard was probably reading it and developing Scientology.
In the occult, Lucifer lies because it give him an edge. So Hubbard admits his own lying. The most likely reason OT IX and OT X etc. were never released is because Hubbard copied the ideas from Crowley, Thelema, Theosophy, Blavatsky and her significant voluminous followers.
What irks me most about Hubbard now is that he could not even get the Occult straight. Science has its issues and that is really all that Blavatsky wanted to get out in public debate. Hubbard developed a sub-standard Occult which has now shed bad light on a cool subject. Thomas Edison studied Theosophy. There are no scientists today that go near Scientology. Science has advanced but the Occult has gone in reverse because of Hubbard. Hubbard gave the Occult a bad name. Science can lie with the bell curve. That is what Blavatsky would have attacked today. Miscavige tossed out the Student Bulletin in which Hubbard extended his nonsense into the anti-Christ. Perhaps he should have kept it. At least Scientology would be somewhat consistent.
Betty Myers says
I have heard that LRH was heavily into Satanism with Crowley. How sad that all these people who actually want to help this planet are in fact following a satan worshipper!

My own interest in the Occult came from inexplicable personal experiences I had as a young college student. My overall approach to the subject has evolved to a modified Physician’s Oath, “First, do no harm.”
That Hubbard wanted mastery over others is because he wasn’t capable of it for himself. He’d have done better reading more Nietzsche and less Crowley.
bixntram says
Hubbard was too lazy to read Nietzsche. Or Kierkegaard. Or Lao Tzu. Or any other thinker. He was too lazy to do any real critical thinking. “But look at all his writings! How can you say he was lazy?” He had a condition known as hypergraphia – a compulsion to write (or draw), which in turn may have been due to temporal lobe epilepsy. Chris Shelton did a fascination video on this. Hubbard spent many hours staying up in front of his typewriter, sailing on bennies and a bit of booze booze, smoking like a fiend. He was driven to type, but he never did any serious research, or any research at all, for that matter.
I can’t be bothered to read any of his fiction, though from what I’ve read about and a few snippets here and there it is that it’s not very good science fiction: all fiction and no science and basically juvenile space opera. If you want to read good science fiction go to Asimov, Bradbury, Clark, Heinlein, “and so forth.”
CGarrison says
Hubbard took spiritul philosophy from early 20th Century thinkers/groups, added Crowley dark arts, sprinkled in new insights from psychology, added a dab of Napoleon Hill, supplemented with a healthy dose of premium Ronnie ego, set the blender on high and viola….Scientology. Moving on he convinced the world his program was revolutionary and his alone. (Not true). Next he promised nirvana if only you would sign on the dotted line. (Still not true but anything for a painfree life, enlightened life.) Mr Hubbard did not build such an empire simply on ideas. He must have been gifted but unfortunately squandered it with greed, control, and his gigantic ego.

I think that the person writing this needs to check the definition of nouns and verbs. OT is a verb? I think not!
bixntram says
Well, if you just went “clear,” you could say, “Hey, I OT’d, couldn’t you? Not to be confused with OD’d.
Moxie says
Is there a difference?
Old Surver Dude says
You can’t say you OT’d! You haven’t even done OT1! Now, you can certainly say you OD’d. But, that’s about it.
Reade Adams says
My picture of that meeting is a sad one. Is the end near for the true believers? There will be some very confused and damaged people emerging from the ruins when the scam at last falls apart. What will the people do when they come out into the world? Where will they live? How will they live? (Who will give them orders?) Their lives have been regimented down to the second. I pray that there will be $cientology recovery centers for those who are truly lost.

From watching Aftermath I get the impression a lot of people are confusing the Sea Org with ordinary public members. This comment may apply to SO members, but public and even staff members live in the world, have jobs and families. Once they realise that the CoS – or more specifically Miscavige – is lying to them, provided their finances are not completely destroyed, they can quite easily resume normal lives. This has been my experience and all the people I know who have simply walked away from scn. It is a difficult transition, but not the nightmarish condition that many ex-SO members face.
Reade Adams says
I’m referring to Sea Org, not public $cientologists, and thinking of those who would have ordinarily retired by now but instead are still working and have accumulated no social security and have no pension.
My brother in Clearwater is in his late 60s, and his wife is in her mid 70s. I would be the only family member willing to take them in; however, my house does not have enough space to accommodate them. I’m sure there are numbers of others in the same position. My heart breaks for all of them.
Newcomer says
They may not need recovery centers if they can remember the names of their family and how to find them.
For those without family, friends can help out.
IMHO, the willingness of those that have tossed their kool aide into the face of suppression to help out friends who dissed them is turning out to be one of the more amazing humanitarian efforts I have seen. There are many damaged individuals connected to this cherch and I expect there will be miracles to share as well.
Reade Adams says
That’s assuming they have family and/or friends on the outside willing and able to help them.
Aquamarine says
Reade, there are those in the Sea Org who, if they left, would have a place to go in that their families would be thrilled to have them back, eager to help them get back on their feet and on the road to living normal lives. The others with no safe harbor into which they can return well deserve your various concerns. But the good news is that a number of Ex-Sea org left with nothing, and purely on the work ethic they had acquired along with their own brains and determination, created happy successful lives for themselves. Mike Rinder is one of them, Jeff Hawkins another – just off the top of my head. There are lots more. You see, in the Sea Org, a person is worked so hard and so long with practically no time off, that once out, ANY job that he or she knows how to do or can learn to do is easier. Lots of ex-SO have said this on the internet.
Reade Adams says
Ageism discrimination may make finding other employment extremely difficult for those who are past retirement age. Their family may have split apart after the death of the patriarch, and they may have no friends on the outside.
Aquamarine says
Reade, this Sea Org demographic usually doesn’t leave the cult, for these very reasons.
They do get fitness boarded though if they’re unable to work. The cult will boot out the older, useless “eaters”.
But our government has a safety net for them – for all senior people in this situation.
If past retirement age, with no skill set/, bad health/disabilities/ no money/ no social security and no relatives or friends, they are yet still eligible to be in a nursing home facility. Medicaid pays for that. They won’t starve, they won’t be homeless. Not that a state run nursing home is at all the best place to be but if dealt this hand of cards late in life its a lot better than being out on the street.
And the younger ones, even 10 years younger than retirement age, can start over. They can do something, if they have their health.
Idle Morgue says
Working like a slave and a dog
is never a problem for a Sea Orger…
It is the confused state of “being” and cognitive dissonance that HURTS and cripples these poor people who are victims of this heinous and evil cult!
Many end up homeless
We will help them
We will ban together and support them
Right SP’s ?
We … meaning us group of SP’s….will be there to assist in any way we can!
Aquamarine says
“We will help them”. You’re right, Idle. We will. Or, I should say, I will help.
I won’t seek them out but if someone leaving the SO needed a place to stay and asked me,or asked someone to ask me, I would help. My place is small but I could harbor 2 Sea Org fugitives.
It would be the right thing to do. Fun too. I’d get a kick out of helping them get back on their feet.
Hmmm… being a Safe House…being part of a network of Safe Houses.possibly. An adventure…I’m up for it.
All my life I’ve taken in stray pets – , dogs and cats, a few birds, and rehabbed them. I’m good at it. You have to just give them the basic necessities and then leave them alone. You can’t make moves toward them because they’ve been abused and frequently are full of fear and mistrust. Patience is necessary for this.
Lots of patience. .
Eventually, though, they respond. It dawns on them that you’re safe. Eventually, they learn that you’re safe and you’re not going to hurt them, you’re just helping.
I could be wrong but I THINK these same principles would work with abused, confused, frightened people too. I say, “I think” because I really don’t know.
Frankly, I’d treat escaped Sea Org people within the framework of this same concept; let them sleep when they like, let them eat when they like. Let them talk if and when they feel like it, and mostly shut up listen. Let them be silent when they’re in that mood. Be there but don’t intrude, don’t hover. Just give them the basics, i.e..nutritious food , shelter , maybe some clothes, and let them recover. Somehow I’m sure they would!
Certainly, it would be very worthwhile, and man oh man, talk about “striking an effective blow” against a cult I used to support!
Oh, yes, I’m up for it! SO fugitives, come to Mama!

Things are so bad now that FSMs report their stats annually? Good to see! 🙂
Newcomer says
That should be a big benefit to the still-ins. The down stats only show up once a year so it minimizes the time doing their lower conditions.
Yo Dave,
Why not bump the stat reporting time to every other leap year? Say February 29th at too every eighth year. By then you should be right at the big zero Dave.
