I have never been a Scientologist and didn’t really know much about them until I attended a few conferences of the former Cult Awarenss Network (note: beware, because the “new” CAN was bought by Scientology in one of their litigation control schemes. Now, when families and friends call the “new” CAN for help are actually talking to a Scientologist. )
I was shocked at what I saw at those conferences. Most of the attendees were parents, siblings, friends who were hurting so much because their loved one was trapped in a cult. My sister-in-law had joined Jehovah’s Witnesses which then lead me to those conferences to learn how I can help her.
The Sceintologists that were at those conferences must have been the “SS” of Scientology. They walked the halls of the hotel, rode the elevators – confronting and harrassing family members. During a speech by a former Scientologist who spoke in such a moving way, apologizing for what she had done to family members, the Scientologists in the room heckled and screamed “LIAR” “F***ING LIAR”.
The fire alarm was pulled two nights in a row at 2:00 AM. Hundreds of customers had to wake up and come to the lobby. Who was standing there laughting and grining? Scientologists.
On the day I checked out of the hotel there was total chaos. The were Scientolgists everywhere. They we yelling at guests, taking photos and videos and causing total confusion. A young Scientologist, probably not much older than 16 held a hugh video camera into my face. I said and did nothing.
The worse was when a former Scientologist that I had met at lunch was in line in front of me checking out. The angry, mean-spirited Scientologists surround him. They screamed in his face. Actually screaming “you are going to die without us” and “your family is doomed for taking you away from us”. The poor guy was shaking. I finally spoke up and said “hey – back off – give this young man a break”.
What kind of religion would do this? Cults are a human rights violation.
Mike I cannot applaud you enough for all that you are doing. Understanding that you were a top executive in this incideous cult but decided to tell your story and help other says to me that you are courageous and are willing to truly help the victims of cults. I am also so impressed with Leah Remini for being public about this important human rights issue. The two of you are doing great things in helping those that are truly hurting. You are both heros.
I am a UK citizen ignorant of Scientology but just wanted to say I have been watching all the series shown on our TV (now into s3 ep 10). I can’t begin to understand how anybody ever got sucked into this cult but can understand the bravery and tenacity of those who managed to leave. Please keep going for all those who are still incarcerated and cannot see the light. It is incredibly important for people to see the truth xx
I’m confused sometimes about Scientology language. Is there a Scientology dictionary that converts it into English for us dumb oldtimers? Keep up the great work! Every fime I go thru Zombieville ( Clearwater), I shake my head in disgust and it’s quite obvious why the downtown will never become vibrant and busy.
Perfect. And welcome back to my favorite cynical, corrupt Sea Org Hag. This is one of those RB comics that make me want to laugh and cry at the same time.
Meanwhile, Kevin spent weeks watching all the Tom Cruise movies at his mom’s house and decided for the sake of his “eternity” he’s going back just to “route out properly”. He’s living with his mom and dressing in upstat wog clothes but Mom refuses to give him any money for an auditor or amends project.
That took him over to the AO where they have no public (so maybe an auditor). But the D of P wants something to use as toilet paper in exchange for letting one of her auditors handle his cycle. She cant use way to happiness booklets because the paper is too glossy.
Now he’s looking for old newsprint but that’s all being horded for washing windows.
“I wonder how high an executive you have to be in the wog world before they provide toilet paper?”
I saw a new doctor today.
He asked me what I did (knowing that I am not currently employed) and I told him that I had been the senior repair engineer for a cruise ship owned by a cult.
He said “Scientology?” My reply was “Is there another kind?” Like Jack Nicholson to Tom Cruse in “A few good men”.
He then said ” There are 3 or 4 big cults he knew about but Scientology is the biggest.”
So the “Church” with its unparalleled Marketing Technology has positioned itself as the biggest cult in the world. Since there are no “errors” in the Church (I never made any errors) but actually; and this is a confession here; I succeeded in correcting my mistakes before any other bastard saw them. Therefore, since DM is utterly infallible it is clear that the cult image of the Church that the public have is exactly the image DM wants for the Church. After all, he has done more than anyone to create this image. He undoubtedly is very proud of his products.
So , Captain David Miscaviage, you are the unquestioned best. While the President of the US is sometimes referred to as the leader of the free world; you sir, are clearly the fuehrer of the zombie cultests. Just as Nazism was nothing without Adolf Hitler; the “Church” would be nothing without you, mein fuehrer.
HEIL MISCAVIAGE.
This has to be one of the most depressing, un-spiritual dialogues EVER.
Itâs like salespeople of the worst, most cartoonish, insurance scam ever. On steroids. This is a âchurchâ?!?
Yikes.
IMO, NOT! Never was, never will be, can’t be by its own policy:”Make MONEY, MAKE MORE MONEY, Make others produce so you can make even MORE MONEY”. I was forced to do the “ministers’ course” before I could complete my Academy Levels in the early ’70s, but have never acted as nor considered myself one. AND: Scientology a *religion*?? That’s a laugh that makes my poor old tummy ache from laughter. It was marketed as a ‘science’ though I never saw anything scientific about it; LATER, it’s a ‘religion’ with no passing resemblance to any definition of religion I’ve ever seen. It started as a money-making scheme, continued under tubby as a money-making scheme after he tried the ‘religion angle’, then DwarfenfĂźhrer stopped even trying to deliver on *service* and merely extorts as much of his flock’s money and life as possible, with no THOUGHT of giving them anything in return.
lately, they”ve been saying that ‘salvation’ (case gain) comes from donating large chunks of cash to DM’s personal “lush fund”. (What else can I call it when a major part of his day consists of consuming mass quantities of alcohol?)
The old “you absolutely positively must do exactly what I tell you to do” then the “It’s all your fault things are f*ed up because you did exactly what I told you to do” conundrum in scientology. Anyone who hasn’t had that happen to them to some degree in scientology hasn’t been in long enough for it to happen.
Valerie, the guaranteed way for scientology to fail is for the peons to do EXACTLY what their fĂźhrer told them to do the last time he opened his mouth.
Except that the fails are so consistently mind-bogglingly spectacular, I might chalk them up to constant inebriation, BUT they’re too consistently of the same pattern and follow “Bolivar” too closely.
“That poor older lady still hoping to go clear in this lifetime. ”
Given that one of the promises of being on staff is free Scientology services – isn’t Scientology breaking it’s contract with just about every sea org or staff member it’s ever hired? I wonder how much risk it’s exposing itself to here if every worker sued for breach of contract?
That “poor old lady” has become a successful liar and con artist, someone who’ll manipulate and exploit a trusting person for her own and her cult’s purpose without conscience – a psychopath.
I would feel sorry for this criminal bitch the way I would feel sorry for a junkyard dog that’s salivating to rip my throat out if I set one toe on the property it’s guarding.
I love dogs, and, while carefully keeping my distance, it would occur to me that this snarling creature was once a trusting, adorable puppy that would have grown into a happy dog and been a wonderful pet for someone with the right loving training. I would get that picture and feel some regret, understanding that the true nature of the dog had been obliterated.
Thank God people aren’t dogs but you get the concept.
I didn’t mean to imply I felt sorry for her, except, of course, in the manner in which she has been conned her whole life.
Her actions show she has learned the real truth of scamatology. Hurting those around you is required to be even moderately successful in the Sea Arghh.
“Given that one of the promises of being on staff is free Scientology services”
That is definitely a case of the product not being worth even a fraction of its cost.
*FREE*? Only until you wake up, when they’ll charge to retroactively at the highest available rates â and call it a FREEloader’s debt. And the real ‘price is how destructive the experience is to your intellect, happiness, and sanity.
