Wow, there are so many sad stories being told here today. This RB edition has really brought out the emotions. Usually RB is good for a bittersweet laugh. This one has certainly stirred up a need to tell one’s own personal heartbreaking story about scientology.

I have read speculation as to why Hubbard never scooped up all the money he could and go into hiding. But what about DM? If he believe the FBI would be serving him with an arrest warrant in the next few days, do you think he would stand and fight? Or would he grab as much of that money as he could and go into hiding somehow?
He would need to lengthen his body by a foot or two. As it stands he is far too short and that makes him very easy to spot in a crowd. There are many countries that do not have extradition treaties with the USA. How would he enjoy life hiding out in one of those countries without anyone around he can beat or intimidate? Would he be able to handle that? Or would it drive him nuts and would he feel the need to turn himself in and handle his own defense in some crazy trial? Can you just imagine him going “pro se”?

Basically if Miscavige had been an adult, and hadn’t personally ignited many separate chains of events, like destructive dominos, his current disgrace might never have happened.
On a different note – I’ve been telling people not to count on the religious right to be of much assistance in helping to harness CoS influence – the same legal and legislative principles and acts apply to both. Eventually they might turn on them, but certainly not as long as they can mutually benefit. The primary founding principle of separation of church and state is being eroded.
On one hand, that gives religions more latitude to influence politics. However, it might also be a case for taxing them. But again, don’t look for the religious right to be an ally on that issue either.
Yes, I have stated this several times too. As much as they might hate scientology they see them as cannon-fodder on the front lines. As long as scientology is safe, so are they. They fear scientology (and other fringe groups) set bad precedents that can then be applied to them. It’s the “slippery slope” and thus they fight to defend politically and legally scientology and other groups they are inherently idealogically opposed to.
The repeal of the Johnson Act is a bad thing.
Wynski and others argued that “the Democrats have been violating the law” so now let’s make it OK for the right wing to do so too (no doubt they were violating it as well). It’s an argument that persuades me of nothing.
The idea of legalizing secret political contributions and making them tax exempt is horrendous.
If churches want to lobby, they should be allowed to do so. But they should not be exempt or outside disclosure laws.

I am considered part of the religious right and I have no problem with supporting the end of Scientology and tax exemption. If somebody wants to donate to a church I see no reason why it should be hidden if you don’t want your name to appear anywhere then don’t donate. I don’t think political contributions should be tax-exempt or hidden either and again if you don’t want your name listed then don’t donate. Wishing you and Leah and all of your contributors and brave guests a very Merry Christmas…My best to all of your families and prayers that all of the families will be reunited soon.

Why use confessional / religious-privileged information? LRH taught to use one tone-level above the person you are communicating. If someone goes rouge in $cn, they feel this is their religious right to attack based on using the Tone Scale to respond (again, one tone level higher in theory). Well… am I right?
I am sure there are countless other policies and references to cite, and that’s the problem. Even LRH countered himself in one book vs. another book, or one policy vs. another. It’s not just a $cn problem, but any religion can be used to cite references to the bias of the situation. But using confidential information and making it public breaks trust, of ex-Scientologists and Scientologists in good standing. That’s why Staff instruct those on course NOT to look on the internet. Atleast its one reason. There is no debate in $cn, which is why any comments are simply ack’d and put into a PC folder for judgement of some C/S. It’s not a democracy. It’s a dictatorship, like N. Korea. Your folder, your case, your issues. Nothing is ever $cn’s fault.
The other thing I noticed in this RB was the financial predatory tactics mentioned of IAS fundraisers by Org Registrars. Fuck that. They are taught to get their stats up at any cost. There is a leaked video on YouTube of Sea Org members saying something like ‘They got money even though they won’t admit it. Don’t feel bad for going after that sh!t’. This is their mindset when fundraising, it’s all or nothing. Your personal donation is the difference between $cn winning or failing, and they stick that pressure of the entire religion succeeding because of your personal donation on you. It’s a damn good tactic if you’re a car salesman. Only the group matters, only the humanitarian façade of ‘good works’ matter, and your pitiful life means nothing when you’re a member of $cn (another otherwise would be Out-1D). This would be a Martin Luther moment for $cn: Don’t accept church donations on credit or debt-sourced.

(after several hours of you know what)
Fast forward to Friday. I get a call from a credit card company asking for a payment. I of course informed them that all balances were paid …… (we did not carry balances in our business which my wife and I owned and had run for 32 years). “Well sir you certainly have a balance on your card”! “What card?!” “blah de blah card”. “How Much?”
4×4 from space enters the room ……. it was traveling at a very high rate of speed …….. it landed ……………..I woke up immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! “Dave. You are running a very, very, very, very unethical business and You are willing to stop at nothing to get money”. (six figures of donos had been going on for over a year without my knowledge)
My poor wife had been convinced that due to the small size of my beingness that she was the one who was going to have to put on the boots and help the cherch lay claim to all my (and her) human labor for eternity (I guess). Paul Miller had told my ex he had had a conversation with me and I had said it was ok!
I wrote an email to her and I was done, fully cooked and knew beyond any shadow that this group would come for me, my wife, my kids, my friends, and everything I had worked for and more and were willing to lie, cheat, steal, third party, destroy reputations and do anything else they deemed appropriate to silence criticism. They did. I have not seen my kids in over five years.

I got on the radar when they were heavily recruiting my son for Int Base to work at Gold. I said I would support his decision no matter what it was. (being the goo mom.) I said just make sure you get posted at PAC area and not at Int because I’d never get to see you if you were at Int, and I want to see you on every liberty day you have, which is why I asked for PAC. Well his recruiters told him that was enemy line I could only have gotten from reading “bad” websites, aka Marty Rathbun’s site. So they started investigating me and used my kids and fiends to spy on me and report to them, which they did. Then they got my friend list at FB and sent interrogatories out to every Scn friend asking them to write a KR on me. Just hinting that I was “not in good standing” was enough so that everyone disconnected from me when I was still in good standing.
Then came my daughter’s birthday and my birthday, only 2 days apart, in Nov. We had made reservations at the kids’ favorite restaurant for our joint celebration. The kids didn’t show up, didn’t call, didn’t return my calls. So the first clue I had that they had disconnected came on my birthday when no one said a word and stood me up on our “date.” Next clue I had was a few days before Thanksgiving, both kids called on a conference call from the MAA’s office and verbally disconnected from me without ever having heard “my side of things” or read any of the LRH references I compiled for them. They were too scared to even read LRH.
Next clue I had was after Xmas I got a letter saying I was declared. But there was no goldenrod enclosed in the letter. They don’t want these getting out. A friend asked the org to see it and. “it isn’t ready yet.” So no goldenrod. Then a few months later, maybe in April or May, an OT VIII friend of mine got word of my declare from a gossiping OT VIII in CA who just couldn’t wait to spread the word about me. She couldn’t believe it, so went to her local MAA’s office in UT and asked to read the goldenrod. They had to have it sent from somewhere to them, had it under lock and key, let them read it in a closed and locked room and did not let anyone have a copy of it and certainly not take a picture of it with their phone.
So happy anniversary to me and you, Coop, and to all on the blog here: Merry Christmas. It is devastating to lose both of your kids to the cult, as well as your ex and all friends. That is why we fight to get the cult and David’s sins seen by the world. And thank you to Mike and Leah for the amazing job you are doing and the inroads you are making. All I can say to dave is that I second what Newcomer said. It is absolutely stunning that members of the See Ogre will fuck over husbands and wives and not only allow but push for them to give money without the other’s knowledge. According to the tenets of scientology, any wrong you commit can be made right if you go through Ethics handling (with some leeway depending upon your celebrity status, how much money you’ve donated/will continue to donate, and basically, whatever is in the best interest of scientology).

I know for a fact auditing sessions are taped and one’s confessions are shared and even used by registrars trying to get more money. Case in point. I’d been “withholding” the fact I had a huge amount of money hidden away in another country and when pressed for overts and withholds in session one day gave that up. About 30 minutes after that session a registrar began pounding on me for a big donation. As I always did before I told the person I had no money and the response was “come on, I know if you looked hard enough you would find it”. The intention behind that statement was totally clear. The person “knew” I had the money but couldn’t say so or the “jig would be up”. The door opened a lot wider and I finally walked through it a few months later.
Glenn, you’re right! I had the registrar use a ruin I had given up in session as the hook to get me to buy more auditing because the auditing “would handle that.” I knew they could only have gotten that info from my pc folder.
Watch the two specials this season — one with Bruce Hines and the other with Mat Pesch. They both recount details about how the supposed separation of regging and tech is a sham. They work hand in hand and always have. Tech feeds information to the Regges constantly.

I have read speculation as to why Hubbard never scooped up all the money he could and go into hiding. But what about DM? If he believe the FBI would be serving him with an arrest warrant in the next few days, do you think he would stand and fight? Or would he grab as much of that money as he could and go into hiding somehow?
He would need to lengthen his body by a foot or two. As it stands he is far too short and that makes him very easy to spot in a crowd. There are many countries that do not have extradition treaties with the USA. How would he enjoy life hiding out in one of those countries without anyone around he can beat or intimidate? Would he be able to handle that? Or would it drive him nuts and would he feel the need to turn himself in and handle his own defense in some crazy trial? Can you just imagine him going “pro se”?

On a different note – I’ve been telling people not to count on the religious right to be of much assistance in helping to harness CoS influence – the same legal and legislative principles and acts apply to both. Eventually they might turn on them, but certainly not as long as they can mutually benefit. The primary founding principle of separation of church and state is being eroded.
On one hand, that gives religions more latitude to influence politics. However, it might also be a case for taxing them. But again, don’t look for the religious right to be an ally on that issue either.

Yes, I have stated this several times too. As much as they might hate scientology they see them as cannon-fodder on the front lines. As long as scientology is safe, so are they. They fear scientology (and other fringe groups) set bad precedents that can then be applied to them. It’s the “slippery slope” and thus they fight to defend politically and legally scientology and other groups they are inherently idealogically opposed to.
The repeal of the Johnson Act is a bad thing.
Wynski and others argued that “the Democrats have been violating the law” so now let’s make it OK for the right wing to do so too (no doubt they were violating it as well). It’s an argument that persuades me of nothing.
The idea of legalizing secret political contributions and making them tax exempt is horrendous.
If churches want to lobby, they should be allowed to do so. But they should not be exempt or outside disclosure laws.

I am considered part of the religious right and I have no problem with supporting the end of Scientology and tax exemption. If somebody wants to donate to a church I see no reason why it should be hidden if you don’t want your name to appear anywhere then don’t donate. I don’t think political contributions should be tax-exempt or hidden either and again if you don’t want your name listed then don’t donate. Spot on RB. I know someone still in who was raped as a tween by her cousin, a Sea Org member. She divulged in her sessions what happened by never told the police. When she asked her cousin what was done to handle him he said, “My amends was getting you in scientology.” I’d love to call authorities with that story by I know my “friend” (now in her 50’s) would say it wasn’t true.

Why use confessional / religious-privileged information? LRH taught to use one tone-level above the person you are communicating. If someone goes rouge in $cn, they feel this is their religious right to attack based on using the Tone Scale to respond (again, one tone level higher in theory). Well… am I right?
I am sure there are countless other policies and references to cite, and that’s the problem. Even LRH countered himself in one book vs. another book, or one policy vs. another. It’s not just a $cn problem, but any religion can be used to cite references to the bias of the situation. But using confidential information and making it public breaks trust, of ex-Scientologists and Scientologists in good standing. That’s why Staff instruct those on course NOT to look on the internet. Atleast its one reason. There is no debate in $cn, which is why any comments are simply ack’d and put into a PC folder for judgement of some C/S. It’s not a democracy. It’s a dictatorship, like N. Korea. Your folder, your case, your issues. Nothing is ever $cn’s fault.
The other thing I noticed in this RB was the financial predatory tactics mentioned of IAS fundraisers by Org Registrars. Fuck that. They are taught to get their stats up at any cost. There is a leaked video on YouTube of Sea Org members saying something like ‘They got money even though they won’t admit it. Don’t feel bad for going after that sh!t’. This is their mindset when fundraising, it’s all or nothing. Your personal donation is the difference between $cn winning or failing, and they stick that pressure of the entire religion succeeding because of your personal donation on you. It’s a damn good tactic if you’re a car salesman. Only the group matters, only the humanitarian façade of ‘good works’ matter, and your pitiful life means nothing when you’re a member of $cn (another otherwise would be Out-1D). This would be a Martin Luther moment for $cn: Don’t accept church donations on credit or debt-sourced.

On Wednesday, 9 Dec 2009 I had the pleasure of being up until about 3:00 AM talking with the wonnerful Paul Miller at the Flog site. He was ‘sitting in’ for the IAS helping them to meet their ‘Thursday at Too’ target. My wife was ‘happily’ at Flog getting onto her Oh Tea seven. In reality she was burning through 12 intensives of FP ARE DEE (sec checking) trying to solve her dilema. (more on that in a minute) I told Paul ‘NO WAY’ and hung up ….. (after several hours of you know what)
Fast forward to Friday. I get a call from a credit card company asking for a payment. I of course informed them that all balances were paid …… (we did not carry balances in our business which my wife and I owned and had run for 32 years). “Well sir you certainly have a balance on your card”! “What card?!” “blah de blah card”. “How Much?”
4×4 from space enters the room ……. it was traveling at a very high rate of speed …….. it landed ……………..I woke up immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! “Dave. You are running a very, very, very, very unethical business and You are willing to stop at nothing to get money”. (six figures of donos had been going on for over a year without my knowledge)
My poor wife had been convinced that due to the small size of my beingness that she was the one who was going to have to put on the boots and help the cherch lay claim to all my (and her) human labor for eternity (I guess). Paul Miller had told my ex he had had a conversation with me and I had said it was ok!
I wrote an email to her and I was done, fully cooked and knew beyond any shadow that this group would come for me, my wife, my kids, my friends, and everything I had worked for and more and were willing to lie, cheat, steal, third party, destroy reputations and do anything else they deemed appropriate to silence criticism. They did. I have not seen my kids in over five years.

Coop,l Congrats on your anniversary of getting out of the C of $, But so sad the collateral damage and ripped apart family because of that “church.” I hope you are all reunited some time in the future. My anniversary is around this time too.
I got on the radar when they were heavily recruiting my son for Int Base to work at Gold. I said I would support his decision no matter what it was. (being the goo mom.) I said just make sure you get posted at PAC area and not at Int because I’d never get to see you if you were at Int, and I want to see you on every liberty day you have, which is why I asked for PAC. Well his recruiters told him that was enemy line I could only have gotten from reading “bad” websites, aka Marty Rathbun’s site. So they started investigating me and used my kids and fiends to spy on me and report to them, which they did. Then they got my friend list at FB and sent interrogatories out to every Scn friend asking them to write a KR on me. Just hinting that I was “not in good standing” was enough so that everyone disconnected from me when I was still in good standing.
Then came my daughter’s birthday and my birthday, only 2 days apart, in Nov. We had made reservations at the kids’ favorite restaurant for our joint celebration. The kids didn’t show up, didn’t call, didn’t return my calls. So the first clue I had that they had disconnected came on my birthday when no one said a word and stood me up on our “date.” Next clue I had was a few days before Thanksgiving, both kids called on a conference call from the MAA’s office and verbally disconnected from me without ever having heard “my side of things” or read any of the LRH references I compiled for them. They were too scared to even read LRH.
Next clue I had was after Xmas I got a letter saying I was declared. But there was no goldenrod enclosed in the letter. They don’t want these getting out. A friend asked the org to see it and. “it isn’t ready yet.” So no goldenrod. Then a few months later, maybe in April or May, an OT VIII friend of mine got word of my declare from a gossiping OT VIII in CA who just couldn’t wait to spread the word about me. She couldn’t believe it, so went to her local MAA’s office in UT and asked to read the goldenrod. They had to have it sent from somewhere to them, had it under lock and key, let them read it in a closed and locked room and did not let anyone have a copy of it and certainly not take a picture of it with their phone.
So happy anniversary to me and you, Coop, and to all on the blog here: Merry Christmas. It is devastating to lose both of your kids to the cult, as well as your ex and all friends. That is why we fight to get the cult and David’s sins seen by the world. And thank you to Mike and Leah for the amazing job you are doing and the inroads you are making. Our best revenge is to flourish and prosper and work to get their tax exempt status revoked.

All I can say to dave is that I second what Newcomer said. It is absolutely stunning that members of the See Ogre will fuck over husbands and wives and not only allow but push for them to give money without the other’s knowledge. There really should be a congressional hearing on so many of the church of scientology’s members’ crimes and the ways david miscavige (or LRH policy – I don’t give damn what you call it) gets others to commit crimes against its own members and in a broader sense, against people who have never been in.
It’s been 4 years Thanksgiving, that I got declared a suppressive person and my son convinced through LRH policy how I was evil enough for him to have to disconnect. I’d like to wish Kurt (my MAA) and Alfonso (Dir I and R at the time – think he’s in the RPF now), all regges for the IAS and all OSA staff, Merry fucking Christmas. You all are truly sad representatives of human beings.

According to the tenets of scientology, any wrong you commit can be made right if you go through Ethics handling (with some leeway depending upon your celebrity status, how much money you’ve donated/will continue to donate, and basically, whatever is in the best interest of scientology).
I wonder, if the roles were reversed, and one of these girls brutally committed sexual assault on Masterson, one of their coveted celebrities, would the church have tried to handle this internally and tell Masterson “don’t go to the authorities and let us handle this” and “Danny, what did you do to pull this in on yourself”? Something tells me that wouldn’t have been the case…
I know for a fact auditing sessions are taped and one’s confessions are shared and even used by registrars trying to get more money. Case in point. I’d been “withholding” the fact I had a huge amount of money hidden away in another country and when pressed for overts and withholds in session one day gave that up. About 30 minutes after that session a registrar began pounding on me for a big donation. As I always did before I told the person I had no money and the response was “come on, I know if you looked hard enough you would find it”. The intention behind that statement was totally clear. The person “knew” I had the money but couldn’t say so or the “jig would be up”. The door opened a lot wider and I finally walked through it a few months later.
Glenn, you’re right! I had the registrar use a ruin I had given up in session as the hook to get me to buy more auditing because the auditing “would handle that.” I knew they could only have gotten that info from my pc folder.
Watch the two specials this season — one with Bruce Hines and the other with Mat Pesch. They both recount details about how the supposed separation of regging and tech is a sham. They work hand in hand and always have. Tech feeds information to the Regges constantly.
