In the early 1970’s at the mission in New York City, there was an Ethics Officer who exchanged sexual favors from women for ethics clearance on checksheets. It works both ways in Scientology.
I was musing today on how my scientology training taught me to be judgmental, taught me all the answers I was so very certain of, taught me to listen carefully to what someone said, and to judge and have the answers for.
I was so certain. I never heard anything that stumped me. I had all the answers. All the judgments. He’s PTS, he’s nattering, he has O/W, he should write his O/Ws, Order VS Disorder would handle this, he needs to do lowers on his first 3 dynamics, this fella needs to get up the bridge, he has an ARCX, oh, just get on course and get on source.. and on and on.
I had all the answers and I was certain. I could judge every single communication and observation of both wogs and my fellow scientologists.
But all of this .. actually… made me unable to hear, think, and feel.
Because now… I have no answers. And now… when I hear the travails of others, when I observe the losses, the inabilities, the distresses, when I feel them for myself… I have no answers.. but I have empathy.
I have sympathy. I feel for the person, and I wish I could help. I wish I could do something more than simply listen, than simply be there and NOT judge, to commiserate..
I’m no longer apart

I’m no longer that sane and ratio?al and Oh So Certain OT, listening with answers spit out like little orange tickets at everything I hear.
Having all of those answers robbed me of my humanity. I wasn’t ‘one’ with my friends, family, or whoever I was hearing. I was above, I was distant, I had answers – if only they’d listen.
If wogs were too dead in the head to reach or listen, if my fellow scio wouldn’t get his ethics in, wouldn’t get on course or in session or follow the tech… well that was THEIR look-out, wasn’t it? I TRIED.
I was feeling a bit shattered today, not having answers and being a bit swamped with various heartaches – both mine and others… and I mused on all of this.. and
at least…
I don’t have answers.
at least, I feel. I feel a kinship and I’m one, not above or distant. I don’t live in a glass castle apart from the world.
What you DO have now is the WILLINGNESS TO LISTEN….many times that by far outweighs a hug or anything else you might offer someone in need. There are far too many people in this world that exist that won’t give someone else a moment of their own time because they are “TOO BUSY”…or they simply don’t care to listen. You’ve got a kind & loving ear to listen to them willingly. Add to that, you also now have the ability to give empathy.
You’ve come a long way, and yes there are many more miles to travel to get to where you feel you might need or want to be. It’s an uphill battle to separate that “then from now”, but the additional good news is that you’ve begun your journey, you are no longer a prisoner of “them”.
“They” have taken from you enough, they’ve put you down enough, they’ve brain washed you enough….YOU are now your own person….LIVE hone, LIVE…for yourself & those you care about and/or love.
Secretfornow, I just wanted to say that your comment is a remarkable piece of writing and insight. I know you feel sometimes that you have lost much but I see someone who has regained and won much. That which you have been through has led you to who you are today, a lovely and thoughtful person. Life can be hard with heartbreaks and uncertainty. That is just the nature of it. It also can be joyous and triumphant.
You are very inspiring in your honesty and striving. Please fight hard to be very kind to yourself.
Are there enough mistreated Scn women to form a new subset of @MeToo? Could there be hundreds of former Scn women (and men?) decrying their forced marriages, forced relationships, forced sex, and forced divorces? If so, and if the Scn @MeToo stories reached the light of day, maybe some still-ins would get on the band wagon, go @MeToo, and get out of Scientology for good.
“Are there enough mistreated Scn women to form a new subset of @MeToo?”
More than enough, Ammo. The problem of the Scn women (Sea Org?) is that they believe their mistreatment is deserved. Stockholm Syndrome territory.
@MeToo may not always make sense but they’re not agreeing that they ” deserved it”. Logical or not, fair or not, with or without proof, as the case may be, t hese women are furious and lashing out and saying no way I’m going to live with this anymore, etc. etc. etc.!
Not too cool but a higher operating state than that of Scn Sea Org females who are trained to believe that no matter what happens to them, its their fault, they “pulled it in”.
This is complete fiction because she would never have the confront to say ‘No’. Shove this into a mislabeled PC folder to get lost with the rest of the Regraded Being misses.
The main part you missed is that they fly in ‘special’ SO staff to do the staff wrangling, as they are already drilled on 2D manipulation. They wouldn’t use regular staff, as they haven’t been fully indoctrinated into the Held-Down 7 brainwash to get that robotic terminal look that SO are known for.
Maybe next week RB will do the ‘strip’ where she’s been sent to ethics and agrees to seduce the poor slubb. Are there scn’s who actually ‘rebel’? REALLY? Wow, that would say something about the crumbling infrastructure of co$.
Priceless, RB. It would be difficult to believe if I were not 100% sure that these stratagems are utilized in staff recruitment cycles. I wish I could tell you the details because its really juicy. Some day. Oh, and that cynical cold chrome SO hag, OMG I pray that all the impressionable young girls and still young enough Sea Org women get OUT of there before becoming- let me call it ” Jenny Linson’ed”.
And yet, OSD, from what I’ve read, she didn’t start out the way, hard as a hickory nut. She was once young and pretty and trusting, from what I’ve read. Its like a puppy is born, and its so alive and full of love and just innate happiness and trust for the whole world, wagging its tail, etc. Well, a vicious junkyard dog can be made out of that puppy, The same thing can be done to a human child. God, I hate the Sea Org. I really hate that organization. In fact, always did, right from the very beginning, though I didn’t know why, and I had to keep it under wraps. Hated them, mistrusted them covertly, and didn’t know why, thought there was something wrong with me because I hated them.
PS: Nothing personal intended by sharing this. Seriously. Hope no one takes offense.
Congratulations, Aqua, on your superb perfceptions. I think it’s great when you can simply KNOW something even when there is no precise evidence. My beloved wife is pretty dead accurate on things like that. I’ve learned to pay attention to her perceptions. She just seems to “smell” them out.
The sea org isn’t just loathsome to the WOG public. Even scientologists despise them. In fact, I’d be surprised if most practicing scientologists didn’t have at least a little anger toward them.
Are you saying that Scientology actually does this? I’ve heard of forced abortions and divorces, but not prostitution for recruitment purposes. I gathered that they were so squeamish about “2D” that people had to get married to have sex at all and then weren’t given much time for it. Was “Jenny” told to do this by the church or she invented the method to improve her statistics?
Yes they resort to any tactic. They even tried to send a young man to seduce our host Mike Rinder’s new wife. The guy is out of scientology and talked about it on a you tube video.
They are absolutely deplorable, and quite sick, really.
Greatest Good for greatest number of dynamics. Good for Kelly.
At some point some of the brainwashed, hypnotized Seaborg people wake up.
Hopefully the Kellys of the cult snap out of it.
Thank you for that Trev, Yes that is exactly employed in the body routing, registration and recruitment. Saw it with my own eyes under a spell thinking it was OK.
Sounds so familiar. “They are only confidential if …” the pale face of that SO dinosaur reminds me of so many people who have lost their souls. What a waste!
Kind of hard to believe anyone still in would have that level of ethics. And be willing to risk a comm ev and whatever the current version of the RPF when the current comm ev follows hidden policy and convicts. What will the poor girl do then? Talk about an ugly choice for her.
Leaves me awaiting – breathlessly – for her decision, RB!!!
The cult considers the Sea Org personnel as a farmer considers the various animals on his property, to be coupled off and/or separated in accordance with whatever is conducive to production at any given time. A Scientology marriage is in name only. If the cult wants a couple to stay married, they stay married. If the cult wants them apart, one or both obey and get divorced. Threats of various kinds are used if/as necessary to separate couples. The cult decides, based on the usefulness of the relationship to itself. Sea Org members, and to a lesser extent, org staff and public, are chattel. Some are useful coupled off, others serve the cult better as singles. It depends. And there you have it; Marriage Scientology Style. It would make a great movie.
Peter, in the S.O. ALL is justified by two El Con policies/concepts. “The greatest good for the greatest # dynamics.” And Simon Bolivar. Helped along by the idea that LRH policy NEVER contradicts itself.

Sorry xenu but you don’t know what F you are talking about. HUBBARD designated uniforms. HUBBARD chose young girls to be his personal servants. HUBBARD wrote the policies on who could serve at Int type HQs based on how they looked (ugly/pretty/handsome)
Rent a clue. This has NOTHING to do with “OSA level” anything.
Wasn’t Hubbard the one who said “a young child of age 7 shouldn’t feel upset to be kissed on the MOUTH by a grown man…..after all, she’s an adult in a “little body”. What about the rape of 14 year old Amy Scobee & other young girls?? Does any of THAT sound OK with you….i.e., what if this was your OWN little girl?
An old, hardened street prostitute, the lowest type of quid pro quo sex professional has more tender sensibilities than one of these well-traveled Sea Org bags.
