“Hmmmmm. Maybe that’s what got my needle floating ”
Hey, dumbshit! Letting a fart will get your needle floating!
Auditor: This is the session. Have you ever had an unkind thought toward anyone?
Me: Uh, ungggh,FFFBRAAAAAAAAAAPPPPP!
Auditor: Thank you. Your needle floated.
Xenu’s Son, I am sorry that you are in this position. I know I have written things here that sometimes seem to unfairly blame, and I apologize for that.
I don’t see how anyone can get someone they care about out unless they are out from under the cult’s control. Especially if as a family they are separated within this cult’s control. On the outside there’s a chance that the one in will reach out. This disconnection tactic really keeps the person still in even more isolated and under their thumb. The stress must be horrendous.
My hope is that for you and all those who are waiting to be reunited that your dream of that comes true.
Next week Kevin has watched all the Cruise movies. His mom tries to talk him out of going back “to route out properly” and then he’s back on the bottom bunk after lights out wondering why he has to do conditions before he can route out… But holy crap isn’t Tom great in the Mummy!
Powerful motivation homesickness, and there is no worse personal insult than when it’s ridiculed by your so called “comrades”. Run Kev, run.
(btw, the is no human side to being Scientology staff (it filters through to whatever public they have very quickly too). The closest they come to it is the false understanding that disconnection is for the greatest good… sick fucks hey?)
The only thing that’s better than getting a floating needle in a sec-check is to just walk out, take over your own life and never have a darned sec-check again!
“just walk out” isn’t so easy. Many personal accounts write about being locked into a room, no food or water, with a group of high-pressure sales artists pushing every button, with shame and directives used as if they could really force someone – which they will do by blocking the door, getting big males to physically interfere, etc.
At its worst Scientology does not offer free choices, they offer two choices – bad, and worse.
Don’t forget the CoS already has dirt on the member from auditing records, and only the church has ready access to those records. Add to that the threat of disconnections,,, – the member who “just walks out” stands to lose job, paycheck, money on account, family, friends, and about everything in their life that has been meaningful up to that moment in time. All that, and their “eternity” is also threatened…
It is a wonder that any CoS member manages to walk away, ever.
Interesting. I was once told by an auditor that the reason the auditor sits near the door in an auditing room is so that he/she can block the door and keep the preclear from leaving if that person decides to blow the session. When I heard that, I wasn’t at all comfortable with it, even with the explanation that you couldn’t let a preclear leave session without the incident being run out. It came across to me as a violation of one’s rights. I guess that’s why I never fit into Scientology, my belief in personal freedom and all.
RB, good story line today. In an organization that insane this is a narrative that rings true.
Every man or women for themselves and rightly so. Scientology is sinking fast. Hit by the iceberg of disconnection, it’s taking on water too fast. The cult is going down and none to soon.
OMG! RB you really know this stuff. You must have been there! I have heard and had those exact conversations and that was 30-40 years ago. LOL I’m always amazed at your insight and the way your irony! Well Done
NOOOOOooo! I love the guy who can’t stop mentioning Tom Cruise all the time, he always cracks me up! Now he’s blown? I feel like my favorite character got killed off my favorite TV show! 😛
I like him a lot, too. Maybe we’ll see him. Maybe he’ll find out what the cult is about and come sneaking back to get his friend. And, of course, Tom Cruise. I’m sure he’s worried about Tom Cruise.
If only I’d had a pre-paid cell phone when I was sitting on the bench outside of Del Sol trying to figure out how I was going to get OUT of the Int Base undetected…
That was 1985.
This could be a game changer for helping people escape today.
Preloaded with Aftermath numbers, the local police, immigration. IDK what other entity might have helped me leave. I did have my mom’s phone number memorized but she was fully in so that would have been a bad idea.
Take a “hint / clue” from the Chuck Norris, Stallone, & Schwarzenegger movies . . . Use a “diversion” ( a building or vehicle on fire / exploding comes to mind ) . . . Use eyeglasses, if you wore them, to start a fire, using the lens to focus the Sun’s rays . . . POOF ! ! !
When I met Miscavige on the Freewinds in 1988, he was very quiet and managed to speak only a few words. It was after the OT VIII disaster which resulted in so much confusion. Miscavige’s physical appearance seems to have aged almost beyond belief since that time. Before Miscavige, Hubbard really had no control over members. He could control the Sea Org. Now Miscavige seems to have made the entire organization into a small Sea Org like totalitarianism. There is no doubt that Scientology causes mental damage. Miscavige took the sheep on his own deluded path. His physical decline is obvious. His deluded ideas of exteriorization seem also now to be in decline.
I met Miscavige when I was on staff at CCNashville in 2009. It was a few days before the ribbon yanking and he was doing the final inspection. I was coming down off a ladder and was about to move it when he and his entourage came around the corner. Dave and I almost collided into each other. I stood there dumbfounded for about a second as I couldn’t believe that I was face to face with David Miscavige. I nodded to him and managed to stammer a nervous ‘sir’ to him. He returned the nod then made his way around me, all the while looking at me with a facial expression that seemed to say ” What the fuck is your problem, dumbshit?”. A few minutes later, he came around a corner and I noticed a rag on the floor that he might step on. I tried to move it but another staff member pulled me back while being reverent to Miscavige all the while.
I have despised the little shit ever since.
When I met Miscavige in 1988 on the Freewinds, I had been briefed by OT VIII’s from Europe that he was throwing punches at Sea Org members. When I saw him, I clenched my fists and expressed a no-nonsense aggression and glared into his eyes. I was full prepared to overboard him from the deck of the Freewinds into the Bay below. He never threw a punch so he was spared. Hubbard was bad enough in his last days and confused about religion. There was no way I would hold Hubbard as a leader anymore. Miscavige was significantly less all around.
Just heartbreaking. Today’s Regraded Being depicts disconnection perfectly. Glad it’s a little story of this one young Sea Org fella who reunited with his Mom and blew. There’s probably a thousand more still ‘in’ and hurting today due to this twisted ‘policy’.
Thanks RB. Powerful.
