I believe that scientology has a binary modus operandi, yes or no, compliance or counter intention, with us or against us. It is therefore logical that ultimately, anybody who is counter intention is an enemy (until they submit, at least) and thus fair game to be ruined utterly.
As David Miscavige believes he is the only one who does anything to support scientology, all others are secretly or blatantly CI and must be ruined utterly.
To me, this sounds like a reasonable explanation of what is happening, but I’d like to add I don’t think Miscavige uses or needs reason. He is just driven by an insatiable hunger to destroy and inflict suffering.
Exactly, Anita. If one calls the police or even starts to, they will scatter like cockroaches every time. They cannot stand the light of day. I have done this. It is pathetic, funny, and sad at the same time. They control people with nothing but fear and if one is not scared of them, their fear goes right back to where it came from.
This is not to put down anyone on lines who has been afraid in this situation. It is easy to get caught up in this sort of thing when agents of an organization to which one has given one’s loyalty and support threaten to take what you love and good friends away from you. It can be painful to stand up for what is right.
Still, as William Wallace said: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzCJP9kEF6M
Thank you so much, Jose, John, and Aquamarine, for your replies. The more I learn, the more upsetting it all is, there have to be (somehow, some way) real consequences for David Miscavige!!
DM is doing a good job of closing Scientology down and is having a lot of fun while doing it. He knows that new people with money won’t join. He know The Tech(tm) is all bullshit, otherwise he would be using it on himself and allowing it to be used on Sea Org staff if they wanted it. He doesn’t allow it on himself or other Sea Org staff because he knows it is worthless and would stop people from doing valuable regging. Whi in hell is going to join these days and put themselves through the stupid useless Tech and be badgered for extra large donations day and night?
DM is having fun with the Baby Boomers. The Phase 1 baby boomers born 1946-1954. They have far too much money that they actually earned through working their whole lives. These “ideas” people and free thinkers who sit on millions. These big-hearted, trusting fools who were easily conned by the King of all Conmen. DM’s game if to extract every cent out of all of them before cancer catches up with them. To make them penniless with no home and no bread to put in their mouths and the Church with all their money plus all they could borrow. The icing on the cake is when they drop the body by dropping off a bridge like Steve Brackett did.
I want to see more of the Baby Boomers having the “Bucket – I’m ALL IN” cognition and giving all in 2015 and maybe clean up their entire number before the year is out.
Hi RolandRB, I understand your points & welcome them.I am a boomer born 1951, however I do not feel that I was easily conned by Ron & the SO.There is a difference between giving all your $ because one is big hearted & trusting & giving your heart & soul because you really really believed The SO was what you had once lost & found again. When I gave $21,000 when I joined in 74 I really thought it was for the good & I helped a few members complete auditing & training with out thinking of myself first.Believe me if I was as gullible as you imply, today I would be able to give mucho bucks for all matter of services. But that will never happen because I got out.One last point cancer did catch up with me & partly caused by working all night for months @ Asho F & most possibly asbestos exposure from scrubbing pipes & work on the ships.I would not wish my cancer experience on anyone, not even those still in or big $ donors.Yes my cancer walk is my responsibility bot be kind to me I don’t want to walk all alone or be chastised for the pain & suffering that happened to me @ the hands of the GOI. Take Care Ann B.
Also, I truly believe he is terrified, and that fundraising is like an addictive drug that calms him down for a while, but then his fear and panic return, and he needs more, and more, and more, etc. I think his money and real estate give him his only feeling of security but there will never be enough money or real estate to make him stably secure because he didn’t earn it.
See, if he had earned it all, he could feel great, he could relax, and, secure in his own abilities, take his attention off of himself and use his vast resources to help others, which, in turn, would make him feel even better and more secure and grounded etc, which would make him more able to help others, and so on and so on, a positive juggernaut, based on his trust and confidence in himself and his abilities, fueled by his vast wealth.
But this is not and has never been his path. He’s a phony, a fraud, a con artist and a criminal, and he didn’t earn his fortune, and so there will never be any feeling of lasting security experienced by him.
He will always live in fear, and he’ll never have enough of what he craves to make the awful feelings go away for a while.
Okay, I’m a never-in, so I’m trying to understand–in years past, lots of new people coming in paying for services, plenty of money coming in, but now, with virtually no new public and membership dwindling, instead of valuing and appreciating the members still in, CoS is determined to bleed them dry, push them to the point of having to leave. Short term stupid greed for a “church” that will end up with no members, empty buildings, and COB sitting on a pile of cash, probably in offshore bank accounts in his name!
Kathy, you are partially correct. In “years past” the Boomers were successfully scammed by El Con Hubbard. (probably due to high rates of drug abuse and cultural phenomenon) Those born AFTER 1958 almost NEVER fell for his crap (statistical fact) and thus, the “church” had to cannibalize its most gullible and mentally ill (See USA CDC assessment of Boomers mental health vs. prior generations) ill “clients”.
Kathy H., what the cult is doing to its still loyal members is indeed insane. My theory is there is a definite method to Miscavige’s madness.
He knows that the truth about the Co$ is winning over his lies, therefore, he is bleeding, squeezing, milking, shearing – choose your metaphor for getting money out of people – he’s going full throttle on anyone who still believes his lies BEFORE they get enough truth to stop giving money to the cult.
The idea is to squeeze as much as he can out of the believer as fast as possible.
Squeeze them dry before they find out and turn off the financial spigots.
I think he thinks this way: “Anyone giving me money believes me and listens to me and obeys me. Anyone who doesn’t give me money is either broke – in which case who needs him anyway – or, is reading the internet and knows the truth about me, and is my enemy.”
I think this is the logic upon which he is operating and that is has been for some time now his “end game”.
He knows he cannot win, but he can still take down with him anyone who will allow it.
So what if he bankrupts people and makes them leave? They’re going to leave anyway. He knows that.
Might as well force them out, make them leave broke, and have the money in HIS pocket.
Also, the less money they have when they leave, the “safer” he is. There’s that aspect of it too.
it’s not insane, it’s what a parasite does – suck the life blood out of the body before moving on. It’s not personal. It’s survival for the parasite. How is David going to survive if he can’t pay his cadre of lawyers and PI’s? He has a tiger by the tail and he needs each and every one of us to up our status. Can’t you see that? Are you a big being or not? Are you buying into that internet CI? Or are you going to march into the closest IAS office and give them that money you’re hording?
Remember those immortal words spoken by our fearless leader – ” Ask not what the IAS can do for you, rather, ask what can You do for the IAS.” Will that be cash or a credit card?
Sounds like a good theory to me. In 2016, the whales won’t be making the big donations any more because they will have seen through the scam. And they will use their money in legal actions against him. So the solution is that they be made to donate (i.e. lose) all their money in 2015 while they can still be conned and then 2016 won’t matter because they will have no money left to fight DM in the courts. He has to make the whales and everybody go ALL IN in 2015 under the pretext that this is what will finally trigger the mad inrush of new public into the Ideal Orgs. They he will have all their money and be safe from any possible harm they can do to him. This means the Duggans, Cardones and Nancy Cartwright as well.
For what it’s worth I think you and Aquamarine hit the nail on the head. This is the big haul of loot Miscavige needs to escape to a Mexican villa patrolled by armed security. He will see assassins everywhere and be afraid to leave his compound. Meanwhile the fools who didn’t see it coming will be making such a stinking little fuss until they are drowned out by a tsunami of “I told you so’s”. This is the year to go “ALL IN!” because going “all in” isn’t something a person can do twice.
Dave Foster is a Flag Reg. At his desk is a hidden microphone wired to a secret room with another SO who directs getting money from public sitting with Dave Foster. They call on the phone with advice and orders to reduce the public to bankruptcy . So Dave phone rings and that may happen several times, it’s in the secret room that guides Dave to get the publics money by all means.
Hi Brian,No reply button for your post. After what I posted today about my SO experience my mind was not in a good place. For awhile I was really upset @ myself & will what those I trusted did to me.Then I read your post concerning cos & your comments on OTs & status etc.Guess what? You blew all the bad sad frightening thoughts away.Thank you for helping me along the path.XO Ann B.
Thank you Ann. Always looking for one’s evil to understand our condition, and doing it forcefully with shame and heavy blame, while calling it “man’s road to freedom” is evil. It really hurts people mentally and emotionally.
I truly wish that all those hurt in this horrible philosophy of “destroy those that think differently” see the truth of their situation.
When the cosmology is that all we are is eternal individuals and there are big and little beings, life is seen as fragmented with players, pieces and broken pieces.
It is possible that the basic problem with Scientology is in fact this false doctrine of the glorified separate powerful uber ego that can do “special” things.
Unity or the God dynamic, embracing life as a unified field of consciousness in an eternal relationship of family, and a philosophy that attempts to unifie.
Being that Scientology holds up the individual ego as the highest attainment; the all powerful person who creates his own laws, it is natural for conflict to arise.
When the recognition of unity and mutual respect is the philosophy to emulate it gives a better blueprint for sane human interaction. And good reason for kindness to all others.
But Scientology as a philosophy is based on the Us vs. Them model. An old archaic model. And because the Us vs Them model is enforced with justified punishment by “ruin utterly, Scientology has violence against it’s own pieces and broken pieces as a religious doctrine and “religious” imperative.
Ron was Godless. He only said God was part of Scientology as an 8th dynamic and we don’t talk about it here in Scientology. What ever you want it to be it will be.
Since the Unified Field of all life recognizes a closeness and familial relation to all life, it makes it almost impossible to do any harm. Because we feel the pain in others we are causing, and are aware of our effect on people.
But in Scientology, hate is above sympathy on the tone scale. And if you truly look at Scientology it is possible to sum up Scientology’s problem in this simple statement:
Hate is a higher emotion than Sympathy.
Sympathy = feeling other’s experience with compassion (relieving suffering)
Hate = Us vs Them ( causing suffering)
This doctrine from Ron is internalized by different psychological profiles. And when you get an ignorant soul like DM, with the taste for cruelty, following the “hate above sympathy” model, you get a fanatic who believes hurting others is necessary to create a sane world.
When that is agreed to, danger lurks for those caught in the dream.
I greatly enjoyed reading your comment and can’t resist adding my two farthings. Any cosmology, for it to make sense, must have the “central creating agent”. Typically that is called, “God”. The cosmology of empirical science is a work in progress and it is seeking that agent via a “unified theory”. Hubbard’s cosmology lacks it and therefore the creating agent has to be the individual entity. In order to explain how we individual entities created the universe requires a bogus theory that we once had powers that we have since LOST and now we need to get them back or else become inert clumps of matter for all eternity. NOBODY has ever demonstrated any powers that trump the natural laws. OT is a fiction. Also, the idea the universe is the result of a collaborative effort is just plain silly.
Hi Roger, Thank you for your post. You do make me think along a different path than my spirit wants me to walk & the more points of view then the better my view will become. But you know I will always be a sensitive romantic spirit wanting all to breath free & follow the way they want to go.You help me though to look @ different facets of the crystal. Now I so see where Ron & David Miscavige trapped each other.Thank you. XO Ann B.
I Just am more amazed with the level of mind control,to think members believe that kind of hounding is a positive thing for ones spiritual well being is so beyond my concept of spiritual enlightenment, nirvana or godliness. After a half hour of that I think I’d punch the shit out of them all.
What is meant by Dave foster scam ? I knew one as dave foster at was at flag land base as a registrar
Is he still there or what ?
What Fraud Flag Scam base are you referring to is this current and is Dave foster remaining that position at the base Please when you write such notifications please write so people understand and not in short terms for only those that are in the know and assuming everyone else knows the lego thats used in yr blog issues.
“TGIF!” Regraded Being day. 🙂 He’s spot on again, as usual.
Most $cientology public have never done the OEC, so they don’t know about the “no” drill in OEC Volume 3 (Treasury Division). A Treasury person is supposed to be flat on this drill, so that they can say “no” and stand their ground without “misemotion” when deluged by requests from all over the org to spend the org’s money. This is what I used whenever I had to be in a reg cycle and wanted to escape relatively unscathed.
Sorry I don’t have the exact reference. I got rid of my $cientology stuff a while back. But I think the “no” drill could be as lifesaving for public as 1-866-XSEAORG would be for Sea Org members.
This is horrible. 🙁 It’s horrible because this is *exactly* what these Scientology crooks are doing to their few remaining customers. There’s a sucker born every minute, but what these filthy Scientology criminals are doing is outright robbery.
This would be funny if the truth veiled by it wasn’t so utterly sad. I have NEVER seen anything of value from such a cycle. Oh wait, maybe the tax write off.
It’s illegal (in the US) to hold a person in a room against their will after they say they want to leave. False imprisonment: “The illegal confinement of one individual against his or her will by another individual in such a manner as to violate the confined individual’s right to be free from restraint of movement.” It’s illegal, so how do the CoS regges get away with doing it to parishioners?
They get away with it because they say it was entirely the choice of the ‘parishioner’ to stay there. And the ‘parishioner’ would be compelled to agree. Such is the nature of the Beast.
To take a line from Lawrence Wright’s exceptional book, “The Prison of Belief.” Lisa, I truly believe that this cult imprisons people using their own minds. Now, how insidious is that? This is THE scariest cult since Jonestown…
In this case (with the regges) the regges are literally at the door, refusing to let the parishioner leave when she says she’s out of money and wants to leave the room. They are physically not allowing her to leave the room when she states she wants to leave the room. I read a similar story in the Tampa bay Times where there were regges at the door and they physically wouldn’t let the parishioner leave the room after he said he wanted to leave the room until they got what they wanted. I can’t think of another religion that does anything like this.
I think the U.S. government (IRS) may be scared of them. That may explain why they haven’t done anything about the CoS abuses which have been exposed out in the open for many years.
There you go, Lisa! Think scientology is actually a religion. If you look up the word cult, it will have (or at least should have) scientology as the definition.
Not really Lisa. There has been nothing of a criminal nature that a prosecutor could “sink their teeth into”. That is the reason no crim prosecution. The IRS has a small case (total owning dollars wise) possible against DM. There are plenty of other public people who owe FAR more in back taxes that they don’t go after.
Hi Lisa,I am sure this will sound off the wall, but for SO particularly & also for paying public simply because they can. When a group has millions of $ & the concept of Clearing this prison planet laws in the Wog World just don’t apply. The GOI & now OSA is a perfect example of this.Thank you for the question & take care,Ann B.
a) Hard to prove. There’s a fine line between convincing a person to stay and physically blocking their exit.
b) Members who are so far in as to find themselves in this situation do not have the wherewithal to understand that a crime is being committed, they are the victim and they can report it to the police. As a corollary, even if the foregoing is understood, the fear of the consequences — loss of eternity, loss of family, loss of community — totally blocks that path or most any path of resistance.
Hi hgc10, When your exit is physically being blocked & all kinds of traps are placed in your path & there is the very real possibility that without adequate food or barely enough water while you are confined, calling the police is not an option.Especially when the police think the whole cos is nuts to begin with. And especially when one of the terminals handling your case has connections in the police world who would side with them against you.I had already lost family, community, & since I was told I was evil eternity with Ron was out the window. But still the Kool Aid keeps you telling yourself all these o/w you supposedly committed then it must be your fault.Until the real fear of going insane or losing your life kicks in & you blow.I do understand your post really I do, but for me the Game was not victim versus criminal It was the hunted versus the hunter totally alone & never being told the rules of the Hunt.I thank whatever force showed me the way out,I nearly did not make it.No rant meant at all it’s just sometimes it all can come back to me & bite.Thank you Ann B.
Lisa, in the legal context, no one is being held against their will. I find that very few people understand criminal law in this country. The dupes stay because they decide to. When I found myself in those situations I just got up and walked out. Got backbone?
Bringing up a civil-legal structure like “false imprisonment” would get you released from the regges … right into the hands of ethics from where you’d be branded PTS for threatening to “go legal”, and ordered to sec checks – at your expense. Then, before they’d let you off the sec check, you’d have to reveal something (real or imaginary) that could later be used to blackmail you.
Once you understand how they will use this routine you know that it is easier to comply and hand over what little you have than run up a big bill for sec checks – auditing entirely intended to flatten you.
It’s a principle known within the cult as “too gruesome to confront” i.e. the penalty for not complying with the reg demand is so awful that it’s just easier to comply. It’s spiritual coercion.
YUP,YUP,YUP, this is the place.
Rex Fowler got the 16 hour version of the IAS Big Thetan Run Down.
Scientology took no credit for his downfall.
so beware , once you give up all your money you are less than dirt
and Tom Cruise has a new motorcycle and hot chick ride along.
Hi Andro, Thanks for posting. I had stumbled upon your blog shortly after I’d left the church but did not
record the name or save it and have been looking for it since. I have it listed with ‘My Favorites’ now and it appears I’ll have plenty to read for a while.
Thanks again.
Been there done that. They are crap at selling anything but fantastic at wearing you down through sheer persistence. in the end I used to agree to do the minimum I could get away with and get out of there.
The way it used to work is that the regge – usually the ED would ask you in to their office for “a 5 minute chat” at a prearranged point – approx 5 minutes later – in would walk at least 2 SO regges and you would be sat in the middle of this. After an hour I had totally stopped listening to the babble and was sitting there working out how much it would cost to get out of the room. You wise up to the routine of course and refuse to enter the office in the first place or make some excuse about a dying friend you need to visit, but they phone you at inconvenient times at work (any time), come to your house, etc. Anyone who has been around a while knows the drill, it seems to be the same the world over.
I love it these days if anyone makes the mistake of calling I can tell them to Buck off, wish I’d had the nerve to say it back then.
It’s been creeping and creeping (just like the creeps that run this cult) towards this final destination. And now it’s FULLY out in the open: Handing over HUGE amounts of money is equal to an OT level (without having to it). I’m surprised they don’t have enormous banners in each Model Ideal Idle Morgue proclaiming: “Handing over all of your money equals case gain.” That’s what it has come down to. Money for nothin’ and your chicks for free…
A particularly potent installment of RB today! Demoralizing+capitulating=flattery. What I’m seeing in this story isn’t so much the monster doing the demoralizing and the flattering but I’m mainly seeing the capitulating by our morally bankrupt victim. You don’t sympathize with moral bankruptcy but you ought not condemn it either.
I can’t condemn it because I’ve fallen into traps in my life and I’ve remained in those traps knowing full well I would do better by climbing out. It has always been serendipity that got me off my ass and standing up so my self-determinism could take over and do the rest. And serendipity, what is that? I call it “God’s gift”. It usually comes in the form of a slap in the face sufficient to bring you to your senses and say, “That’s it, I’ve had enough.”
My experience has been that the effective slap was preceded by a series of non-effective slaps, the next one being harder than the previous one. So in other words it takes what it takes. I don’t feel much ambivalence for the IAS bullies in the cartoon, do you? My patience is spent with the victim. I think she’s being treated as she deserves to be treated. She’s getting a gift from God and everybody deserves that.
Actually, I disagree. Being locked in a room and shouted at is not an environment in which all of the responsibility is on the victim. The criminal organisation known as the “church” of $cientology knows the value of the intense pressure, and instructs the bullies to confine the victims to the room until the money is delivered.
The Co$ is only getting away with this by buying off those few victims who punch through the self-blame (which is also actively instilled by the Co$) and go to court.
Are you suggesting things are hopeless for our poor “victim”? Yes, this does appear to be a clever and sinister trap held together by the victim’s own beliefs and agreements and no outside force can rescue a person from their own false beliefs. BUT contrary to Hubbard’s axiom #1, life is NOT a static. It is always on the move and always changing and it’s movement is always in the direction of extrication from confinement. The intelligence behind this irresistible force is cosmic, not individual. Repulsion to misery is a cosmic principle that ultimately drives the individual out of confinement.
Oh My Gawd, RB, classic. I especially love your last promo piece. The whole thing! The IAS symbol should truly be its symbol – Earth in Chains – perfect! “Patron Victimorious!” 🙂 Her tiny little trophy – 🙂
My last award was Major Patsy Victimorious With Honors! All I had to do was turn over a couple hundred K, a child, and one perfectly good psyche. Who here can top that.
I did two kids, a patron meritorious and a wife. How frickin stupid does a guy have to be before the final wake up?
Answer: Really, really stupid! But sometimes the wake up and recovery has some benefits that outweigh all of it! I’ve been through denial, anger, bargaining, depression and now I’m in a place called acceptance. I have my life back, I have wonderful friends, a great business and have never been better. And I’m smiling like I haven’t for years.
For all those still in, if you need a hand, call me. I do what I can (209-928-4822 – leave a message). For Dave, the IAS regges and the MAAs ………………forget it! If you show up, bring a shovel!
Hi Regraded Being,Absolutely positively brilliant post.Every bit is so true & I love how you laid out the topic of IAS regging, but also how what you didn’t say made the whole post jump out so one could see the evil in what was being done.Sue’s success story is priceless.Long may you draw write & create! XO Always Ann B.
Wow. Driving people to the brink of insanity and financial insolvency for false gains that will never be achieved. Scientology is a fire keg of religion and capitalism run amok. All so some dictator can finance shady real estate deals and exert power over well intentioned but naïve people. For shame, Scientology. Thanks for using humor, RB, to show the devastation caused by this cult/capital scheme.
Egads, that is so sad. I want to laugh, except that it appears to be so true to life. Why are so many people sacrificing their own and their families’ well-being to such pseudo-goals and inane arguments? I can see the role that sleep deprivation and milieu control play in weakening a person’s resolve. If Scientology is good any one thing, this is it. But then that’s the common thread through all totalitarian cults — isolate, intimidate, create conditions of intense discomfort, disguise that discomfort as external pressures and problems, and then offer relief through compliance with the group’s real goals — the extraction and transfer of all usable human resource.
‘…isolate, intimidate, create conditions of intense discomfort, disguise that discomfort as external pressures and problems, and then offer relief through compliance with the group’s real goals — the extraction and transfer of all usable human resource.’
Hgc10, you’ve just described my most memorable SO recruitment cycle.
I ended up signing though I was better at never-arriving.
Even though I believe every word (which is why I read this blog) I remain utterly flabbergasted. My experience with the C of E entailed their giving £$$ to needy parishioners, no questions asked. Of course, the parishioners in question were well known to the vicar, but aside from that—the free soup kitchens, the adult literacy classes, the beautiful gardens open to anyone … I could go on but you get the gist. Stories of ill-used Scientologists break my heart
It is absolutely true, I’ve kept most of my “donation” receipts so I can prove the amounts involved, what these sadly don’t show is the reality as seen in the RB cartoon above.
But please continue to how this “big being” feels after the cycle ends and she goes back to her “flop house” room at AOLA or Flag.
That sinking, sick feeling and the never ending reeling from the reality that you just fucked yourself and your family for “this lifetime.
No more nice mest – ever. It will be a life of sacrifice and poverty and NO PLANETARY CLEARING of anyone. The fear of losing one’s home and going bankrupt.
To think about all of the members that are financially ruined before they have their “service” (which keys them out) only to have the “reactive mind and case” Scientology is giving them – impinging on them as soon as those wheels hit the runway when they get home.
We have all been there….then
How to tell the spouse or deal with the creditors coming after them.
Brilliantly put. They do create major stress for individuals, I remember my brother asking why with the decent job I was in had I not yet paid my mortgage off, (he had cleared his recently) there is no way I could tell him that until I left the cult my debt had grown every year. Only now can I finally see a way out – I’ll be in my 60s by then but it is a plan. I would say it wasn’t completely for nothing as I did get some improvements in grammar, spelling and world knowledge but this in no way commensurate with the outlay.
Nice one RB!!! That looks like the Flag version. Now you have got to capture Teddy Braggen on the rust bucket ……………….. with the passports sitting on a shelf behind him ………….as leverage!
Ah yes, the “Big Being” Close. I have had that one pulled on me many times and then I realized, just like Luis Garcia, that everyone else had the Big Being close used on them too. So with all these Big Beings around, why aren’t all the orgs Ideal and why isn’t the planet Cleared yet? And why can’t I find my car keys?
Flattery and threats, that’s how Scientology has regimented slave mentality. The assignment of being a “big being” is ego flattery.
The threat of being labeled a tiny thetan brings fear of being shamed by the group.
Scientology to a great degree is about ego flattery and group acceptance.
I am an OT 8 = I am totally special
I am clear = I am homo novis
Labels and identities, labels and identities, labels and identities.
I remember women touting with coquettish pride ‘”oh I am having a 2d with an OT.”
The levels in Scientology are really a group elevation in influence and position. And a bragging right to claim superiority.
In 1971, an OT 7 told my then girl friend that he was the most powerful man in the universe. He then proceeded to hit on her. Somehow his OT 7 status elevated his self worth to delusional.
Each OT level gives a group approved name to the ego.
When I truly examin all of the OTs I have known, they are no different from anyone else.
With the exception of maybe a false notion of superiority that Ron himself bestowed as part of their make believe, group approved identity of “spiritual” attainment.
Hi Brian, Don’t know how long you’ve been out but training and auditing levels are worthless now. Before I left I was getting emails from from fellow scientologists signed off with the standard ML but the persons name would be followed by, “Humanitarian” or “Double Humanitarian” or whatever their Ideal Org or IAS status may be. It was a pretty much in your face attempt to let you know ‘I’m ahead and you need to catch up.”
You mean you don’t get “spiritual enlightenment” after getting Clear? I wonder if there are any benefits at all to going up the Bridge in Scientology, such as increased intelligence, etc.
These keep getting more accurate, and more funny, and more awful… RB is sly and capable with nuance… I love the potrly balding guys “I almost wish I was there for the celebration” with COB. He seems to have heard enough to know that he wouldn’t want to be there at all for anything connected with COB. And that expression with which our honoree regards her cute little Patron Victimorious trophy! How soon will she be selling that on Ebay?

Ann B Watson says
Aquamarine says
Kathy H. says
Jose Chung says
Kathy,
Correct on all accounts (no pun intended)
John Locke says
Kathy, you are partially correct. In “years past” the Boomers were successfully scammed by El Con Hubbard. (probably due to high rates of drug abuse and cultural phenomenon) Those born AFTER 1958 almost NEVER fell for his crap (statistical fact) and thus, the “church” had to cannibalize its most gullible and mentally ill (See USA CDC assessment of Boomers mental health vs. prior generations) ill “clients”.
Aquamarine says
That’s my theory, for whatever its worth.
mimsey says
it’s not insane, it’s what a parasite does – suck the life blood out of the body before moving on.
Mimsey
RolandRB says
Roger Hornaday says
For what it’s worth I think you and Aquamarine hit the nail on the head. This is the big haul of loot Miscavige needs to escape to a Mexican villa patrolled by armed security. He will see assassins everywhere and be afraid to leave his compound. Meanwhile the fools who didn’t see it coming will be making such a stinking little fuss until they are drowned out by a tsunami of “I told you so’s”. This is the year to go “ALL IN!” because going “all in” isn’t something a person can do twice.
Jose Chung says
Dave Foster is a Flag Reg. At his desk is a hidden microphone wired to a secret room with another SO who directs getting money from public sitting with Dave Foster. They call on the phone with advice and orders to reduce the public to bankruptcy . So Dave phone rings and that may happen several times, it’s in the secret room that guides Dave to get the publics money by all means.

Brian says
Ann B Watson says
Hi Brian, Beautiful post as always.Thank you from my heart.Forever to you both Ann B.
Roger Hornaday says

DollarMorgue says
It’s religious.
MC says
They get away with it because they say it was entirely the choice of the ‘parishioner’ to stay there. And the ‘parishioner’ would be compelled to agree. Such is the nature of the Beast.
Old Surfer Dude says
To take a line from Lawrence Wright’s exceptional book, “The Prison of Belief.” Lisa, I truly believe that this cult imprisons people using their own minds. Now, how insidious is that? This is THE scariest cult since Jonestown…
Lisa says
Old Surfer Dude says
There you go, Lisa! Think scientology is actually a religion. If you look up the word cult, it will have (or at least should have) scientology as the definition.
John Locke says
Not really Lisa. There has been nothing of a criminal nature that a prosecutor could “sink their teeth into”. That is the reason no crim prosecution. The IRS has a small case (total owning dollars wise) possible against DM. There are plenty of other public people who owe FAR more in back taxes that they don’t go after.
Ann B Watson says
Hi Lisa,I am sure this will sound off the wall, but for SO particularly & also for paying public simply because they can. When a group has millions of $ & the concept of Clearing this prison planet laws in the Wog World just don’t apply. The GOI & now OSA is a perfect example of this.Thank you for the question & take care,Ann B.
hgc10 says
a) Hard to prove.
Ann B Watson says

Because no one calls the cops.
John Locke says
Lisa, in the legal context, no one is being held against their will. I find that very few people understand criminal law in this country. The dupes stay because they decide to. When I found myself in those situations I just got up and walked out. Got backbone?
clergyman says

Roger Hornaday says
Jens TINGLEFF says
Actually, I disagree. Being locked in a room and shouted at is not an environment in which all of the responsibility is on the victim. The criminal organisation known as the “church” of $cientology knows the value of the intense pressure, and instructs the bullies to confine the victims to the room until the money is delivered.
The Co$ is only getting away with this by buying off those few victims who punch through the self-blame (which is also actively instilled by the Co$) and go to court.
Roger Hornaday says
Are you suggesting things are hopeless for our poor “victim”? Yes, this does appear to be a clever and sinister trap held together by the victim’s own beliefs and agreements and no outside force can rescue a person from their own false beliefs. BUT contrary to Hubbard’s axiom #1, life is NOT a static. It is always on the move and always changing and it’s movement is always in the direction of extrication from confinement. The intelligence behind this irresistible force is cosmic, not individual. Repulsion to misery is a cosmic principle that ultimately drives the individual out of confinement.

It is a tragedy for all Scientologist’s.
All of it for absolutely NOTHING.

And telling the kids they don’t need private schools, activities, or a college fund anymore because the sea org has all the opportunities they need .

Old Surfer Dude says
1. Because it’s all a scam. 2. Did you look in your purse?
Brian says
Regraded Being says
Hi Brian, Don’t know how long you’ve been out but training and auditing levels are worthless now. Before I left I was getting emails from from fellow scientologists signed off with the standard ML but the persons name would be followed by, “Humanitarian” or “Double Humanitarian” or whatever their Ideal Org or IAS status may be. It was a pretty much in your face attempt to let you know ‘I’m ahead and you need to catch up.”
Newcomer says
They aren’t there OSD, The IAS regges took them until Cindy paid in full!
Old Surfer Dude says
How can they treat our Cindy like that!

… and when I ran out of money and needed some help, my “church” told me something that rhymed with bucket. I think it was “suck it”.
Idle Morgue says
and Fuck It – meaning on one in the “Church” cares what happens to anyone
it is a viscous, evil group that manipulate and control each other out of their money, time and family
talk about a scam of epic – ness
Lisa says
You mean you don’t get “spiritual enlightenment” after getting Clear? I wonder if there are any benefits at all to going up the Bridge in Scientology, such as increased intelligence, etc.
Dan Locke says
These keep getting more accurate, and more funny, and more awful… RB is sly and capable with nuance… I love the potrly balding guys “I almost wish I was there for the celebration” with COB. He seems to have heard enough to know that he wouldn’t want to be there at all for anything connected with COB. And that expression with which our honoree regards her cute little Patron Victimorious trophy! How soon will she be selling that on Ebay?
