Oops! Missed your B-Day Mike! Hope it was a good one. 65? In any case you look better than people I know who are 10 years younger. Not kidding at all. I think you regained time from de-stressing as a result of leaving the cult. Look at D. Bloomberg. He looks older than you even though he is years younger.
The cult is often compared with the novel “1984”, but a better match may be Karl Marx’s tome “Das Kapital”. Karl was just a century ahead of his time when he described the fanatical pursuit of money at the cost of everything else.
I thing LRH did a lot of reading and studying to hone his skills of how to control people. I can’t remember the name of the person he spent time with who was also interested in the occult and satanism but I think LRH believed he was more powerful and would not have to pay a price for what he did. A lot of good all that money and power did him – he still died basically alone, in pain, and without the healing power he imagined he possessed.
It really seems like DM has nothing to do but sit and count his money and keep on pushing pushing pushing for every scam and scheme he can come up with to get every last cent that can be stolen and coerced from every corner he can. How he can keep pushing his livestock to keep believing they are actually doing something for the good of all. Realize they are nothing more than cattle to him and if they end up belly up the only thing that he may care about is what that dropped person won’t be bringing in is more money.
I really hope that young woman has begun the journey to realizing just how tricked she has been, that the bottom line is DM cares only about the money, which is his own personal stockpile.
I hope any cult member who does receive the stimulus money puts it in their pocket and catches a bus or taxi or calls someone to come and get them. Then they turn off their phones, buy a burner phone, and start to build a real life.
For anyone who still has loved ones still trapped in the cult I hope they begin to pull away and just get out no matter how they have to do it. Go to the police. Go to a shelter. Just take that first step.
Happy birthday and MANY more, Mr. Rinder, and health and well-being to you and your entire family. May all of you stay far away from Scientologists (and be able to safely help all the former Scientologists who count on you.

yup! That’s the way they’ll spin it. And if the clams are in Affluence condition, they’ll be “investing” in facilities to maintain the Affluence into the future, no matter that they’ve been induced to max out their credit cards and liquidate most of their savings and assets. The Registrars will say ANYTHING to get those all-important bucks in Davey’s coffers.

One recent news report questioned whether this infection could be spread by mosquitoes.
It seems highly plausible to me that it can be spread that way. After all, if the virus exists in our blood stream, then why would it not be possible a mosquito bite could transfer it from one person to another?
If true, it cannot do any good to sanitize the trees near the parking lot. That just sounds stupid to me. Mosquitoes are so numerous and can bit people in close proximity so frequently that the disease almost certainly seems like it would be spread that way. When the warm weather arrives, I sure do intend to wear long sleeves and long pants to try to protect myself.
Mary said people should not answer their telephones or their doors. I think it’s important to know there is absolutely no law at all against answering a knock on your door. A few years ago, I realized that 99 percent of the time, when I answer a knock on my door, I am sorry I did that. It’s essentially always someone I did not want to see or talk to.
The only way I answer my phone is if I recognize who is calling.
The only way I answer a knock on my door is if I’m expecting someone to come to see me and I can see that person is the one who knocked.
Please, everyone. Please stay healthy and happy and please consider never answering your phone or your door unless you know who it is that is calling. During this pandemic that is highly likely going to be an unpleasant experience. That is most true for members of this descpicable criminal cult.

It certainly does not make me look good; it is just that as there are suicide bombers and other ilk; I was! not trained but indoctrinated into the idea that the greatest contribution I could give the group was to die for it.
Aren’t staff used to surviving on nothing? Many weeks they don’t even get paid the $50, anyway. It’s effectively a volunteer job, so flatlining at zero isn’t that much of a difference. They rely on other means of support, whether family members or “moonlighting” at real jobs, and if that money dries up then they’ll be in a bind, though again one that doesn’t necessarily affect showing up at their CofS volunteer job. I’m guessing the CofS will tell them to turn over the $1200 checks to make up for the stats crash, which of course really isn’t their fault, but for those whose real income takes a hit, it will be an awful dilemma. There are virtually certain to be gruesome machinations like that within Scientology, and some day we’ll hear war stories about what went on inside.
Bill Straas reminds me, besides staff, the SO will likely be told to apply for checks, and turn it over to the cult. That would be a couple of million in GI. Hopefully Bill is right, and some will realize that could be their ticket to freedom.
Glenn. Sure. Their damn IAS is the clear application of this mantra.
This period of restrictions is gonna be longer than what one can hope. I see it here in italy. We are ahead compared to others. And now is stabilized thanks to the restrictions but keeps being stable and is not going down.
There is time to get people waking up, leaving, and all their organizational circuits going in tilt.
They can’t last for so long without serious ripercutions.
Excellent recap of what Scientology does to members during crisis.
This is Scientology.
Exploiting human beings during pandemics and disasters.
Dangling a carrot on a stick and making these clubbed seals pay and pay and pay just to feel good.
Scientology is a total betrayal of help on all dynamics.
What a horrible fraudulent and manipulative “church”.
Scientology is EVIL!
The CofS is surely angling to get their hands on members’ coronavirus stimulus checks – and I bet they have their eyes on small business relief money and loans that people may be eligible for, too.
We can only hope that starts to result in some real pushback – and even staff members consciences coming to the fore – rather than members just being further exploited in a time of crisis, and ripped off of some of the money they most desperately need. And behind that is the sad reality that after years and decades of being asset-stripped, scientologists are probably some of the people most on the edge, with the least assets, savings, or even credit lines to fall back on.
Peacemaker, getting the clapping clams to turn their small-business stimulus loans over to the Registrars is (slightly) less evil than opening new credit cards for them and then maxxing the cards out at FAR higher interest rates. It’s still evil, as they’re being dunned for false promises Davey’s cult wouldn’t deliver on if it COULD. Meanwhile, they’re walking into infectious hot-spot crowds to be lied to. That’s sad for the particular clams, but there are too few of them to affect the pandemic’s future one way or the other.
Jere, if members turn over the money from small business emergency loans to the CofS, that’s probably money the business did need, so they’re only harming their prospects for recovery and survival, unfortunately.
Also, I believe that some of the loans are tied to specific performance like continuing to pay employees, so if the members fail to meet terms like that it’s also fraud – though of course, sadly, that’s nothing new for Scientology.
I’ve experienced the hell of Sea Org members showing up at my door really late.
It’s such a nightmare. Objecting to their presence means a Knowledge Report OR objecting to their proposal to come in and “do a course”/”get a briefing” means a Knowledge Report with everything one says used against them. And if one is written up (Knowledge Report) then he HAS to go in and handle the report(s) in Ethics and THEN it’s probably doing Lower Conditions and spending tons of money to contribute to the flavor-of-the-month campaign AND THEN he/she will still end up in that briefing (giving money) or on that course.
If one refuses to go in to handle their Knowledge Report then it’s a Comm Ev. No show on Comm Ev is an automatic SP declare.
What’s a scientologist to do???? Don’t answer your door or phone.
Mary. Damn it seems you are talking about mafia. Wait a moment…. But scientology acts as mafia! Unexpected visits, all kind of open or hidden threats, people reporting things on you. Mafia should do some extention course on handling people. They would improve their tech.
Yea. The mafia has got nothing on the church of scientology. In fact, if the mafia were smart they would pressure the IRS to give them 501(c)(3) status so they could have first amendment protection.
Unsolicited visits, regardless of the hour of day, contributed significantly to my eventual exit. Nobody likes that (Scios in-good-standing included), and with perfectly good reason. It’s an invasion of privacy. I have no doubt there are many things that the still-ins dislike about their church. They don’t discuss it with anyone, except perhaps close friends in strict confidence. But they all have their breaking point as to how much abuse they’re willing to tolerate. And that point must come sooner or later for most of them.
I’m glad I was young and poor when I was involved.
Probably a dumb question but, what if all the lights were off and everyone else is obviously asleep, does this stop them from banging on the door?
I was recently served some documents by a process server who came knocking on my door. I will tell you the whole story because I think it may help anyone who has unwelcome people coming to their door and knocking.
Anyone who is involved with this cult should really take a minute and use Google to find out the laws in your area concerning process serving. I will try to be brief but I want to tell you of my experience in the hope it will help you avoid a similar unpleasant experience.
A process server sent me an extremely friendly sounding message on my phone. It went something like this: “Hello Skyler! A friend of yours has sent you a package and we would like to deliver it to you. The cost of delivery has been paid so there will be no charge to you. Please reply and tell us when you will be home so we may get this package to you.
Fortunately, I knew that no one would be sending me any package so I never replied and when he came knocking on my door, I never answered. I had my TV on very low volume and I was certain he couldn’t tell anyone was at home. But apparently he could.
He must have become angry because I refused to answer his telephone message or his knock on my door. He started shouting through my apartment door. I went to my door and looked out my peep hole and saw him staring at the peep hole with a very nasty expression on his face and his finger stuck up his nose, twirling his finger around as if to let me know that if he was infected and I would get infected if I handled the package he left for me. He then just dropped the package outside my door and left. That was considered a legal service in my area.
I so very much dearly wish I could have taken a video of him with his finger up his nose because where I live, people get arrested and thrown in prison for intentionally coughing or spitting on other people – intentionally spreading this infection. Also, if they go into a store and lick some of the products as if to intentionally spread the infection, it is considered a serious crime and the police will arrest them if presented with proper evidence.
If someone knocks on your door and leaves you a package, please be very careful to wear gloves before touching the package and do your best to clean the package (with a disinfectant product) before you touch it with your bare hands.
I would put nothing past these creepy process servers and that goes double and triple for any of the horrible messengers from the cult who come to your home to try to get you to “donate” money to them.
Mary Kahn asked:”What’s a scientologist to do???? Don’t answer your door or phone.”
That’s a start; my idea is to live on a boat. If they can’t find me when I’m away from the dock, there’s nothing they can do. You just have to be out of cell-phone range or have it off when they call. They can’t effectively KR you if your # announces you’re out of range OR they can’t physically find you. That’s on THEM not trying when you’re there.
You got that right, Mary! This is why they don’t answer the door or phone. I even had a guy come to my door with an emeter who was going to come in my house and audit me. (pull OW’s as to why I wouldn’t let them in.)
Cindy. In the last years I moved in the country side and I went back to the nature and I became a little bit more wild. If they would show up at the gate with a meter I probably would take the riffle and loose the dog. I can already see the dust they will rise running away like mad.
Good idea. When I was in the S.O $1200 bucks would have been enough for me to BLOW!
I may have starved to death later but death was inevitable if I remained in the S.O. Unfortunately I would have and did; choose Death over e.scape

End up in Ethics if you get the Virus? PTS?
Ethics was a complete joke in Scientology and I learned that in the first week. The magic words are “Get me out of here so I can pay with cash for my next intensive.”. It works 100% of the time. I was put into A-E for visiting with David Mayo and I got out of Ethics in one day with 20 signatures at Flag.
Only 20 signatures? No money or did you part with some of that lean green that you promised?
That EO needs some cramming if you got off with only one intensive. It was probably Jasmin Arrellano, a fine piece of tooling crafted by the friendliest place on the planet.
So glad all that wasted life experience of coping with a cult is in the distant past. I was done and out in 2010 but it took another three years for Julian to get his paperwork together.
I hope the virus does not get started in the SO berthings, it would be cruel and unusual punishment for the sheeple given the cults propensity to consider medical treatment as a last resort. Now Dave on the other hand …………………..well go ahead and sneeze on him!
George, you’ll get a visit to “ethics” if you get ANY disease as you MUST be PTS or have unhandled O/Ws. All that matters is the MONEY or other stats. and if you should happen to die, they’ll catch up to you in your next life, or whenever.
They never forget, but will even the score, per Tubby’s “scripture”, wholly bogus though it be.
MOney always gets you out of the lower condition. And the MAA’s have a stat of money that they are responsible for getting. I had one MAA who saw all the work I did to make amends and then say, “But what you did was pretty bad (it wasn’t) , so there needs to be more, like maybe some money, a donation.” I said no that I didn’t have money but I’d be happy to do more work. He kept regging me for money. As soon as I came up with money he signed my formula and it was smooth sailing then.

It certainly does not make me look good; it is just that as there are suicide bombers and other ilk; I was! not trained but indoctrinated into the idea that the greatest contribution I could give the group was to die for it.
Richard says
Bill – I realize your making a serious comment . . . but . . .
“Good idea. When I was in the S.O $1200 bucks would have been enough for me to BLOW!”
Laughter – thanks for the laugh, Bill
Imaberrated says
I was a Day staff member. I was flat-out ordered by the ED to go on the dole. I wasn’t qualified, because I wasn’t looking for work.
PeaceMaker says
Glenn says
Ah yes, taking money without doing something in exchange. The primary mantra of the blood sucking cult.
Loosing My Religion says
Glenn.
A Pain in the Zorch says
Excellent recap of what Scientology does to members during crisis.
This is Scientology.
Exploiting human beings during pandemics and disasters.
Dangling a carrot on a stick and making these clubbed seals pay and pay and pay just to feel good.
Scientology is a total betrayal of help on all dynamics.
What a horrible fraudulent and manipulative “church”.
Scientology is EVIL!
jere Lull (39 years recovering) says
Careful, Pain, or you’ll insult the trulyEVIL on Teegeeack.
PeaceMaker says
The CofS is surely angling to get their hands on members’ coronavirus stimulus checks – and I bet they have their eyes on small business relief money and loans that people may be eligible for, too.
We can only hope that starts to result in some real pushback – and even staff members consciences coming to the fore – rather than members just being further exploited in a time of crisis, and ripped off of some of the money they most desperately need. And behind that is the sad reality that after years and decades of being asset-stripped, scientologists are probably some of the people most on the edge, with the least assets, savings, or even credit lines to fall back on.
jere Lull (39 years recovering) says
Peacemaker, getting the clapping clams to turn their small-business stimulus loans over to the Registrars is (slightly) less evil than opening new credit cards for them and then maxxing the cards out at FAR higher interest rates. It’s still evil, as they’re being dunned for false promises Davey’s cult wouldn’t deliver on if it COULD. Meanwhile, they’re walking into infectious hot-spot crowds to be lied to. That’s sad for the particular clams, but there are too few of them to affect the pandemic’s future one way or the other.
PeaceMaker says
Jere, if members turn over the money from small business emergency loans to the CofS, that’s probably money the business did need, so they’re only harming their prospects for recovery and survival, unfortunately.
Also, I believe that some of the loans are tied to specific performance like continuing to pay employees, so if the members fail to meet terms like that it’s also fraud – though of course, sadly, that’s nothing new for Scientology.
Mary Kahn says
Loosing My Religion says
Mary. Damn it seems you are talking about mafia. Wait a moment…. But scientology acts as mafia! Unexpected visits, all kind of open or hidden threats, people reporting things on you. Mafia should do some extention course on handling people. They would improve their tech.
Mary Kahn says
Yea. The mafia has got nothing on the church of scientology. In fact, if the mafia were smart they would pressure the IRS to give them 501(c)(3) status so they could have first amendment protection.
Chris Shugart says
Unsolicited visits, regardless of the hour of day, contributed significantly to my eventual exit. Nobody likes that (Scios in-good-standing included), and with perfectly good reason. It’s an invasion of privacy. I have no doubt there are many things that the still-ins dislike about their church. They don’t discuss it with anyone, except perhaps close friends in strict confidence. But they all have their breaking point as to how much abuse they’re willing to tolerate. And that point must come sooner or later for most of them.
Imaberrated says
It’s as creepy as f***.
Eh=Eh says
Yes, that’s the answer. Don’t answer the door and make all callers leave a voicemail…..
Doug Sprinkke says
I’m glad I was young and poor when I was involved.
Probably a dumb question but, what if all the lights were off and everyone else is obviously asleep, does this stop them from banging on the door?
Skyler says
Filthy bastards!
Old Surfer Dude says
Mary, I’ll take, ‘No show on comm Ev’ for $400.
jere Lull (39 years recovering) says
Mary Kahn asked:”What’s a scientologist to do???? Don’t answer your door or phone.”
That’s a start; my idea is to live on a boat. If they can’t find me when I’m away from the dock, there’s nothing they can do. You just have to be out of cell-phone range or have it off when they call. They can’t effectively KR you if your # announces you’re out of range OR they can’t physically find you. That’s on THEM not trying when you’re there.
Skyler says
Jere. Wow! What a wonderful beautiful idea!
Cindy says
You got that right, Mary! This is why they don’t answer the door or phone. I even had a guy come to my door with an emeter who was going to come in my house and audit me. (pull OW’s as to why I wouldn’t let them in.)
Mary Kahn says
Yup!
I had a friend who had this happen very recently. She hasn’t answered her door or phone in years and they still show up.
I hope it’s great for you being out. Think of you often
Cindy says
Thank you Mary and I think of you too! I am so glad I’m out.
Loosing My Religion says
Cindy. In the last years I moved in the country side and I went back to the nature and I became a little bit more wild. If they would show up at the gate with a meter I probably would take the riffle and loose the dog. I can already see the dust they will rise running away like mad.
Cindy says
Yes, I can picture the dust as they run away! Way to go!
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
Good idea. When I was in the S.O $1200 bucks would have been enough for me to BLOW!
I may have starved to death later but death was inevitable if I remained in the S.O. Unfortunately I would have and did; choose Death over e.scape

George M White says
End up in Ethics if you get the Virus? PTS?
Ethics was a complete joke in Scientology and I learned that in the first week. The magic words are “Get me out of here so I can pay with cash for my next intensive.”. It works 100% of the time. I was put into A-E for visiting with David Mayo and I got out of Ethics in one day with 20 signatures at Flag.
Newcomer says
Cindy says
Yes! Sneeze on Davey. By all means.
George M White says
This all happened the early 1980’s. I do not remember the names. It was before Mistakevige
jere Lull (39 years recovering) says
George, you’ll get a visit to “ethics” if you get ANY disease as you MUST be PTS or have unhandled O/Ws. All that matters is the MONEY or other stats. and if you should happen to die, they’ll catch up to you in your next life, or whenever.
They never forget, but will even the score, per Tubby’s “scripture”, wholly bogus though it be.
Cindy says
MOney always gets you out of the lower condition. And the MAA’s have a stat of money that they are responsible for getting. I had one MAA who saw all the work I did to make amends and then say, “But what you did was pretty bad (it wasn’t) , so there needs to be more, like maybe some money, a donation.” I said no that I didn’t have money but I’d be happy to do more work. He kept regging me for money. As soon as I came up with money he signed my formula and it was smooth sailing then.
Imaberrated says
I was staff and using money to get out of Ethics wasn’t an option for me. Back in my day (’90s) it wasn’t so rife as it sounds like it became.
LoosingMyReligion says
Cindy. When one can talk about being coherent on helping another. Money worship.
