Whilst he says all the right things, l’m really concerned it’s all a set up to gain access to family money and he is simply “handling” us “Wogs”.
You got that right! They are trained and drilled to fleece money and stop at nothing, pushing buttons, using every sales trick and putting up a facade, greatly skilled in “communicating”.
Be aware that most likely the family members who have authority over the money are most likely separated from the others to target and influence that person.
Be on guard and possibly warn your family, that they are alert of getting probably influenced or tricked.
Behind the facade the sales people are instructed to deal ruthlessly with their marks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9o6J4R3u28 (Scientology Hidden Camera (Sea Org) Demanding Money!)

I see that Mike has also provided some numbers from a reliable, authoritative source that also illustrate what’s really going on in Switzerland.
I’m in a blue state which ordinarily has a thriving economy. We send a LOT of taxes to the federal government. Well, we’re in lockdown now. And I am in 100% total agreement that we should be and are doing the right thing. As severely as we are being effected by this thing, I thank God every day and pretty much all the time that I live where I do, and that the governor and other legislators of my state listen to, are guided by, and are operating on medical science-based decisions via covid testing being done in real time, as opposed, to, say, what Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson or Breitbart think would be a good idea. It is no picnic being on lockdown but everyone I know is agreed on the necessity for it and cooperating totally, and what we are going thru is NOTHING compared to what the medical people are enduring. Let others in other states enjoy the temporary luxury afforded them of being unwilling and/or unable to confront the danger of Covid 19. Let others spew their ignorance and resentment and alternative facts. Let others have their fun chewing on their political conspiracy theories. I’ve given up trying to figure such people out. I think they have a death wish, frankly. A sort of collective death wish. Seriously. In the meantime, we in my state and in other areas of the United States are confronting and handling what is a very lethal danger to life. We are doing what’s necessary per real statistics and science and every day I give thanks that I’m in this sane environment with sane leadership and where we are all on the same page about what we need to do. In my state, there’s a LOT of help for the indigent while at the same time we VERY much like to make money, and mostly we DO. But then, you can’t make money if you’re on a respirator or dead, can you?
I’m with you, Aqua! Let Kenneth Copeland bliw into his TV camera and claim that, by the power of God, he has done away with COVID-19!
Oops! I need to keep that hush hush! Don’t want a certain midget getting any ideas!
He was 56 years old? What is he complaining about?
He lived exactly as long as his mentor, Adolf Hitler. Many other Nazis would have loved to emulate their Fuehrer. And his eulogy is similar to the one given Hitler by Goebbles.
I was supposed to die a dozen years before that. Had I died honorably as I was supposed to I would have received a similar, though lower classed one. Since DM said that the virus is just bullbait all I can say about his passing is “Flunk, you flinched”. I apologize for not being nearly so eloquent what can you expect from an SP.
Whatever you do, don’t let him get his paws on your credit card numbers. I did a Comm-Ev on the Freewinds on a reg there who obtained credit card numbers through underhanded means. Many people only found out that they had purchased services on the Freewinds when they got their credit card bill. But since he was one of the few terminals bringing in any money, he had ethics protection. I was hauled into ETHICS for a report I wrote about it.
Incredible, Bill, that YOU would be hauled into Ethics for reporting financial fraud across of state lines. I’m not a legal person but wouldn’t such an action fall under FBI jurisdiction if the amount debited off of someone’s credit cards without permission exceeded $1000, and such occurred across state lines! Even more incredible is that in the Church of Scientology of Scientology, a crook like this is given (face palm) “ethics protection”. Jesus!
You know, Aqua, I wonder if this is why the Freewinds never ventures into US controlled waters. Because of all the laws they’re breaking that would cause the ship to be boarded by the US Coast Guard and all the regges put under arrest?
I can just hear their defense:
Our Dear Leader, David Miscavige tells us that it is our religious duty to extract as much money out of people as possible by any means necessary. By not letting us rob people you are in effect not allowing us to practice our religion.
The CofS is rather like the Thugee cult of India, which robbed and murdered travelers in service to their deity Kali, using tested processes for gaining the confidence of targets, and even a “tech” for strangling victims most efficiently.
While modern scholars question the traditional image of their organization, they were at least a social phenomenon in Indian society for about half a milennium:
ItI was aboard in 01 after Maiden Voyage when the French i.e. Interpol raided the ship.
We were at anchor in St Bart’s and a military wessel came and boarded us. The 1st Mate Rori Deness woke me up and had me on watch in Treasury FSSO while the boarders went through all of the Treasury files.
However, DM was still aboard! After the MV was over he did not leave right away and was doing some filming on the island and more scuba diving.
I remember when I was on liberty one Saturday my wife and I were ashore eating at a place owned by Jimmy Buffet called” Cheeseburger in Paradise”. She suddenly said to me “Here comes COB”. I looked up and there he was, coming toward us with his entourage.
Within a year I would be sent out of the SO to die of AIDS and my wife would be held against her will on the ship.
Aquamarine: The Free winds was in Cancun or Cozumel and the ripped off person attended the Comm-Ev. He was a staff member in Mexico City and his credit card had been used without his OK or knowledge. Making little money on staff he could not pay the bill. He was given the option of declaring to the police that the card was used illegally but he would have been declared SP by the Church for bringing the cops down on the Church. I wrote the D/FBO ship and told her that the org had received stolen property and should give it back. To me, that was a no-brainer. But the org was not making much money and they were not about to give any back. We recommended that the crim be sent to the RPF but they didn’t want to do that as he was an income-producer for the org. So they decidee to send him back out to rob more people in order to pay back people already robbed. My wife was the Dir I and R at the time ( Sharron Kimball Straass Weber now CO FSSO) and she told me that he could make ethics change and should have not been sent to the RPF. After he was posted in Treasury and ripped off some accounts there, he was RPFed anyway. When I wrote a KR saying that the org would be an accessory to the crime if it failed to return the money I was hauled into ethics. I found out that a CMO staff member had come up with the idea of sending the crime back out.
@ Bill, I am like flabbergasted on steroids hearing this story of yours.
What these criminals are getting away with!
I personally know someone whose credit cards were used this way by a Sea Org member. Big bucks. The person I know refuses to press criminal charges. Same reason; doesn’t want to be declared, still has hopes for Bridge one day.
I guess there’s just so much that one can do to help victims of Scientology…we can inform them, we can listen, we can understand, we can encourage them to seek justice, but, in the end, they have to do it. They have to DO it – they have to act.
Yes Aqua, those crimes would fall under FBI jurisdiction. So would human trafficking. Kidnapping and others. I guess attempted murder would not, it is just a state crime.
Actually, had my father not said he was going to call the FBI they would have never released my wife and I would have never seen a real doctor.
This is an important point in dealing with the cult. Don’t pussy-foot around with them if you want to live. I learned that lesson the hard way. If my then wife had not repeatedly gone against their directions after I got dementia I would have been dead, just as surely as the Jews at Auschwitz.
Yet I am the one declared SP and she is in good standing.
Bill, you’re dead on accurate on every point, Dead Men.
No joke. No pussy-footing around with this cult. They’ll kill you physically, they’ll kill you mentally, financially, emotionally, etc., without a qualm, without turning a hair.
I wish you would write a book, Bill.
Your experiences are amazing and true. What a book, what a MOVIE, my God! You could get a ghost writer, you know. Or a writer, period. “As told to…” Seriously, why not? You talk into a tape, per your recall at any given time. The writer compiles in sequence, edits, etc., keeping you, your “voice” as real and as true to who you actually are as possible. Your story has everything; drama, suspense, grief, near death, left for dead, highs, lows…wow. Amazing. Real life tabloid fodder. Electrifying! And TRUE. My God! And you could make money! Unless you’ve got people you love still in, of course.
Aqua: I do not have anyone I love in the Church. I was still friendly with my ex-wife but she has disappeared (obviously disconnected) from me since I was declared ( though I have never seen the issue).
I have decided that I will write a book. A number of blog commenters have told me to do so and I am not getting any younger.
I need to find a ghost writer or a helper or get in common with someone who knows how to do it. We will split any proceeds 50/50. If you or anyone else out there is interested, please get in common with me.
Bill, this is great! I’d love to help you write it. I’ve never written a book before though. I’m not a professional ghost writer! Or any kind of writer. I wouldn’t want my name on it. But what a challenge it would be to compile your anecdotes, your experiences…wow. Fun too. If I were doing it I’d keep most everything communicated the way YOU communicate. Very little editing. Maybe I could… Offhand I don’t know of any ex-Scn to refer to you. You’d have to get an ex-Scn, I would think – to give the narrative an authentic tone. I’ve got 2 jobs though…I’m just thinking out loud. Maybe I could, so long as there would be no firm deadline. And hey, you could go on Mike and Leah’s PODCAST to share some (not all) experiences and promote your book. What a blast of a show that would be.
OSD: Take it from a man who had 6 doctors and the only Right Arm Captain in the SEA ORG ( Captain Napier of the Freewinds) pronounce that my death was imminent:
The Sea Org was a far greater threat to my life than HIV AIDS.
Heil Miscaviage!
I can hear you laughing at the idiotic thoughts & remarks of them….as David M said of his own father basically..umm, what was it…..”If he dies he dies”……….
Despite all that was said about YOU & your Imminent demise…… here YOU ARE to “taunt them with ….”.YUP…I AM STILL HERE”………lol!
Balletlady:
What was said about me was not “If he dies, he dies.” It was WHEN he dies, he dies”. That I was going to die was not in dispute.
Though it should have been. I recovered quickly once I saw a real doctor.
Had my then wife and myself followed the organizations directions any more closely I would have never seen a doctor.
Every day that I am still alive is a “fuck you” to the church. I did not start treatment for the AIDS until it was obvious to everyone that I was going to die. My wife was afraid to go to the grocery store for fear of finding me dead when she got back. She asked me for a little prediction on when I would die and I told her it would be over in 3 weeks. 3 weeks later I had dementia and no longer recognized her. A CAT scan of my brain showed ” deep white matter disease from immune deficency”. I can afford to laugh about it now but at the time it was not very funny.
Having had my own mother pass away from dementia, my heart aches for what you & your former wife have had to deal with. These people are the lowest of the low…only they want is $$$ to live their pockets to use for their own enjoyment & to use to “expand the business”..i.e. purchase Real Estate so it LOOKS like their “growing”
Nothing pleases us more than the fact you are STILL with us…that you’ve managed to free yourself of their smothering ways & form a life for yourself.
To know as a “never in”…that Mike Rinder managed to put together a brand new happy life for himself & his new family is the other SWEET REVENGE…..
I can only imagine what goes through David M’s mind & thoughts constantly about how “he can’t wait to kick the shit out of Mike, or get his hands on Tom D, of Mark Bunker, or all the others who have managed to escape & be HAPPY & FREE.
David m must pace the floors night after night wondering just WHO he can trust…knowing in his BLACK HEART there really truly IS NO ONE HE CAN TRUST.
Stay well Bill, take good care of yourself & keep those posts coming!
There was a lady at graduation in the Starlight Cabaret on the Freewinds who gave her Sucess Story and she said that the Route to Infinity course was ALMOST as good as taking LSD. She was taken from the stage straight to ETHICS.
I really hope this is a story that will come to pass, that those who have had time to be isolated from the cult will actually begin to rethink what they (…long pause = my kitchen sink pipe just broke and I decided was a good time to mop the floor) anyway I hope this is a great opportunity for all those who have had a great reason to stay away to rethink how nice it is to have the first freedom they have had in a long long time. Take that stimulus check and let that be your start to live free and it’s your money to do with whatever you wish, not for DM’s personal war chest.
Peggy. At the moment as I think you’ve seen they are trying to keep the clutches on the public in some way. With stat-push courses and online seminars.
However I think the less implanted ones are waking up I hope.
Some friends I grew up with and who have been out of lines for many years (one is also SP declare) still had the idea that the cult has positive points.
In recent months I have helped them to get out of these fixed ideas implanted since years and see reality. They are now really happy to have listened to me.
I only need two more of these friends to save.
Then I can also come out.
You are a true friend to those people Loosing My Religion. You’ve been there, done that, and who better to know just what turmoil they were going through. Best of luck with the other two friends and I wish for them the same joy the others are now, and you, are enjoying. You really are a good friend.
Thank you Peggy. These friends are my brothers.
I had to face many things to finally wake up. Mike and Leah helped a lot. And I did it.
I know that this self called ‘religion’ it’s an implant (by definition).
This cult is just sickness. Doesn’t bring anywhere except in a movie made by the mind.
Reality is now. What I am is now. Never in a foggy future. Just now. Do well Peggy.
LoosingMyReligion – Wow, I cant imagine the joy and relief for you when the two accepted what you told them. Then that only steps up the hope but also the urgency for the other two, while they are perhaps at some additional distance due to the pandemic. I pray their hearts will soften and truth will be received, or at the very least, it plants a seed that will grow.
Jenyfurrr. Thank you. They had already unsaid doubts so I helped them to see better the picture and we end up laughing about. I was who brought them in the cult time ago and was right to be the one who got them away.
On the others i need some more time. One became clear few years ago and is on lines somehow and the other is in the SO. I wish you the best.
I like the husband’s comment that his LSD use made him unqualified for the Sea Ogre. Wish I’d thought of lying saying I’d used it too and been “reg-free” forever.
I had that lie in my back pocket in case anybody started pushing. Luckily, because I was Class V org staff, that protected me. There were so few staff members, that they couldn’t be spared. That didn’t stop the SO purloining non-essential staff, but I was one of the only few technical staff, and was truly irreplaceable.
That lie wouldn’t have worked for me, because I was born into Scientology, and it would readily have been debunked.
Imaberrated. I totally understand your lie would be debunked and happy to know your value to the local org kept you out of the Sea Ogre.
I had tons of family members in at the time I got into it and if I lied it would have been exposed just like your’s. Course I was also totally hoodwinked back then too. Kind of like being on the acid of the cult.
I did the acid once. I had already signed my SO contract before the LRH issue came out saying no more acid heads in the SO so they gave me until July 3 1979 to report for duty.
That was the day I reported.
I will bet my stimulus check that the majority of Sea Org members will be coerced into giving their stimulus checks to the org. That is s safe bet. Probably in excess of 90 percent will give their money away. Those who resist will be sent straight to ETHICS to do lower conditions.
After all, what other fish to fry do they need it for (unless they intend to use it to blow).
Thanks for your story and details. Sounds typical of the cult to wiggle waggle around facts just for a stat. Makes me ask did the Sea Ogre ever kick out acid heads who had joined before that Order came out? I was in in 1975 and never heard of that happening.
My parents were in the sea Morgue back in the 80s and me joining was looking inevitable. So, when I was 15, I took acid with my brother and a few friends. Then a few days later my brother and I told on ourselves guaranteeing we could never join. We both had to do the purif right away though. Still worth it. I’ve done that and many other drugs since the last purif I did. (3 times I did that motherf*cker)
As previously noted, Nation of Islam Minister Abdul Hafeez Muhammad, Eastern Regional Minister of the Nation of Islam, has died as a result of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
This is The Final Call story about his death. One photo below.
In the heart of the United States, New York State has become the epicenter of the scourge of the coronavirus pandemic which has now claimed one of New York’s most prominent leaders to serve the Black community.
“I am praying and staying up through nights seeking that I might be able to understand more clearly God’s purpose for taking His servant at this time in this manner from this virus. As my spirit is troubled as I write these words, I will continue to seek the answer of Allah and be patient as the answer unfolds,” wrote the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan in an official statement.
“But know this, he was not an ordinary man. His service in the Nation and to our people was not ordinary. His commitment to the total liberation of our people here and wherever they are on this planet, was not ordinary,” the Minister stated. (See complete statement on page 21.)
Words of condolences, memories of cherished moments and reflections of the great works of Student Minister Hafeez Muhammad poured out in New York City and throughout social media upon news of his passing. Hafeez Muhammad was 56 years old.
Many of his contemporaries expressed reflections on his love and work in the community including clergy, elected officials, activists and those who were touched by his untimely passing.
There are some men whose impact is so thorough that their absence hurts entire communities with such a searing pain. There are some men whose legacy is so completely intact and powerful, that it is a never-ending tribute. Minister Abdul Hafeez Muhammad was such a man.
“We are deeply saddened to inform you of the loss this morning of Student Minister Abdul Hafeez Muhammad, Eastern Regional Minister and Representative of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and The Nation of Islam as a result of the COVID-19, Coronavirus. Our beloved Brother and friend was a sincere, devoted, faithful servant of The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan in the Cause of Allah,” said an official statement released by Student Minister Ishmael Muhammad, national assistant to Min. Farrakhan on behalf of Min. Farrakhan and the NOI Executive Council.
A Sex-Cult Horror Story Blending Scientology and NXIVM
The new horror film “1BR” uses the real-life experiences of Scientologists and those in NXIVM to paint a terrifying portrait of one woman’s descent into cult madness.
Leaslie, when I did a reg mini hat I went back to the erlier policies and the registrar was a boring duty. He was sit there recording people enrolling on a service. Later he had to learn go hunting (to survive).
Can someone explain to me a bit more about what a reg/regges is please. My family member (who has been mentioned on this site before as a vulture) is causing our family great concern. Whilst he says all the right things, l’m really concerned it’s all a set up to gain access to family money and he is simply “handling” us “Wogs”. Something doesn’t add up as he is still fully committed to Scientology and saving the world. Hypnotised fool sounds like a good description of were he is at.
Ozgirl. A reg is the abbreviation for a registrar, a staff who signs up people on a service in other words he ask for money.
I haven’t got all the picture but keep both eyes open. Wide open I’d say Ozgirl.
And stay tuned as needed.
Regs are money raisers for the CO$. They usually get 10 -15% of what they bring in. It used to be a coveted job, but unless you ‘reg’ for the IAS or big blue or one of the top level organizations, you will not make much. They are seen as vultures by their publics and use methods that are considered underhanded by most.
A Registrar is a salesperson. They use various techniques, such as love-bombing (saying how great you are, how everybody loves you) and “enlightenment” (explaining how service will fix your exact problem). They also do dodgy shit like opening credit cards in your name, and maxing them out. The justification is that Scientology is the most important activity in the universe, and doing the services of Scientology, or supporting the IAS, which protects Scientology, it’s something that you need to do, and need to do NOW. Hubbard said, “Don’t waste this brief breath in eternity”. It gives you urgency.
Your Registrar, guaranteed, will be trying to get all of your money.
Warn your non-Scientology family members, Ozgirl, to be VERY on guard with this family member who is a Scientologist, and to not give him ANY money and to not LISTEN to him for any length of time, but instead to be very polite, yet alert, and get rid of him fast, without appearing to do so. Tell them to keep brushing him off, politely but firmly. If your family has money, HE is AFTER IT, and no mistake! Good luck and well done for being concerned! You’re RIGHT to be concerned!
Ozgirl. One last thing: if your position regarding that money is such that you have decision-making power, jump on it now with your feet together and stop everything.
You can bet this family member has someone behind who pushes him. Don’t get into chatter. Say no and keep repeating it.
Keeping it.simple, Hubbard stated and scientologists believe that everyone has reactive mind which is the storehouse of all negative and painful memories of the past and causes people to act irrationally. In layman’s terms the reactive mind is equivalent to the subconscious mind or unconscious mind and although there is no universally accepted description of such most people give some credence to this supposedly scientific concept.
In the 1970s before outright donations were required the regges pitched that if you didn’t immediately pay for and start your next step in scientology your reactive mind would restimulate and you would continue to do stupid shit. It was a pretty good pitch – lol
I don’t know how scn is promoting doing extension courses these days. If you can’t come in and audit out your reactive mind maybe you can keep the sucker at bay by doing extension courses.
Richard, reports are that they’e been using extension courses for a long time to keep stats up. And members who are sort of hangers-on who can’t afford courses, or want to keep up their longstanding relationship with the org and its community, apparently have been doing them as a way of keeping up their connections while keeping regges and ethics off their backs.
Back in your day, there was such a flood of baby boomer “seeker” types and so much turnover that they didn’t have to worry about trying to keep people around to keep the numbers up – including the cash flow.

I just looked it up on Worldometer: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
According to those figures, the US is currently at: 735K cases and 38,794 deaths. Switzerland is 27K cases and 1368 deaths.
But what is a correct comparison is Cases and Deaths per million population:
The US is 221 CPM and 117 DPM.
Switz is 3166 CPM and 158 DPM.
Switzerland’s statistics are considerably worse than the US.

Jesus!
Alcoboy says
You know, Aqua, I wonder if this is why the Freewinds never ventures into US controlled waters. Because of all the laws they’re breaking that would cause the ship to be boarded by the US Coast Guard and all the regges put under arrest?
I can just hear their defense:
Our Dear Leader, David Miscavige tells us that it is our religious duty to extract as much money out of people as possible by any means necessary. By not letting us rob people you are in effect not allowing us to practice our religion.
PeaceMaker says
The CofS is rather like the Thugee cult of India, which robbed and murdered travelers in service to their deity Kali, using tested processes for gaining the confidence of targets, and even a “tech” for strangling victims most efficiently.
While modern scholars question the traditional image of their organization, they were at least a social phenomenon in Indian society for about half a milennium:

Aquamarine says
I wouldn’t be surprised if what you’ve said is precisely the reason the Fraudwinds stays out of US waters!
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
Aquamarine says
@ Bill, I am like flabbergasted on steroids hearing this story of yours.
What these criminals are getting away with!
I personally know someone whose credit cards were used this way by a Sea Org member. Big bucks. The person I know refuses to press criminal charges. Same reason; doesn’t want to be declared, still has hopes for Bridge one day.
I guess there’s just so much that one can do to help victims of Scientology…we can inform them, we can listen, we can understand, we can encourage them to seek justice, but, in the end, they have to do it. They have to DO it – they have to act.
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
Aquamarine says
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
Aqua: I do not have anyone I love in the Church. I was still friendly with my ex-wife but she has disappeared (obviously disconnected) from me since I was declared ( though I have never seen the issue).
I have decided that I will write a book. A number of blog commenters have told me to do so and I am not getting any younger.
I need to find a ghost writer or a helper or get in common with someone who knows how to do it. We will split any proceeds 50/50. If you or anyone else out there is interested, please get in common with me.
Aquamarine says
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Strasss says
OSD: Take it from a man who had 6 doctors and the only Right Arm Captain in the SEA ORG ( Captain Napier of the Freewinds) pronounce that my death was imminent:
The Sea Org was a far greater threat to my life than HIV AIDS.
Heil Miscaviage!
Balletlady says
It’s been said “He who laughs last laughs best……”
I can hear you laughing at the idiotic thoughts & remarks of them….as David M said of his own father basically..umm, what was it…..”If he dies he dies”……….
Despite all that was said about YOU & your Imminent demise…… here YOU ARE to “taunt them with ….”.YUP…I AM STILL HERE”………lol!
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
Balletlady says
Aquamarine says
Yep, that’s Bill’s song, that Stephen Sondheim song: “I’m Still Here.”
Gives me an idea for a parody but no time now.
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
There was a lady at graduation in the Starlight Cabaret on the Freewinds who gave her Sucess Story and she said that the Route to Infinity course was ALMOST as good as taking LSD. She was taken from the stage straight to ETHICS.
Aquamarine says
Cute story. Thanks for the chuckle, Bill 🙂
Imaberrated says
These two are unusually lucid. I guess the social separation has made them decompress somewhat. Usually only the woman is questioning.
Peggy L says
I really hope this is a story that will come to pass, that those who have had time to be isolated from the cult will actually begin to rethink what they (…long pause = my kitchen sink pipe just broke and I decided was a good time to mop the floor) anyway I hope this is a great opportunity for all those who have had a great reason to stay away to rethink how nice it is to have the first freedom they have had in a long long time. Take that stimulus check and let that be your start to live free and it’s your money to do with whatever you wish, not for DM’s personal war chest.
Loosing My Religion says
Peggy L says
You are a true friend to those people Loosing My Religion. You’ve been there, done that, and who better to know just what turmoil they were going through. Best of luck with the other two friends and I wish for them the same joy the others are now, and you, are enjoying. You really are a good friend.
LoosingMyReligion says
Thank you Peggy. These friends are my brothers.
I had to face many things to finally wake up. Mike and Leah helped a lot. And I did it.
I know that this self called ‘religion’ it’s an implant (by definition).
This cult is just sickness. Doesn’t bring anywhere except in a movie made by the mind.
Reality is now. What I am is now. Never in a foggy future. Just now. Do well Peggy.
Jenyfurrr says
LoosingMyReligion – Wow, I cant imagine the joy and relief for you when the two accepted what you told them. Then that only steps up the hope but also the urgency for the other two, while they are perhaps at some additional distance due to the pandemic. I pray their hearts will soften and truth will be received, or at the very least, it plants a seed that will grow.
LoosingMyReligion says
Jenyfurrr. Thank you. They had already unsaid doubts so I helped them to see better the picture and we end up laughing about. I was who brought them in the cult time ago and was right to be the one who got them away.
On the others i need some more time. One became clear few years ago and is on lines somehow and the other is in the SO. I wish you the best.
Glenn says
I like the husband’s comment that his LSD use made him unqualified for the Sea Ogre. Wish I’d thought of lying saying I’d used it too and been “reg-free” forever.
Imaberrated says
I had that lie in my back pocket in case anybody started pushing. Luckily, because I was Class V org staff, that protected me. There were so few staff members, that they couldn’t be spared. That didn’t stop the SO purloining non-essential staff, but I was one of the only few technical staff, and was truly irreplaceable.
That lie wouldn’t have worked for me, because I was born into Scientology, and it would readily have been debunked.
Glenn says
Imaberrated. I totally understand your lie would be debunked and happy to know your value to the local org kept you out of the Sea Ogre.
I had tons of family members in at the time I got into it and if I lied it would have been exposed just like your’s. Course I was also totally hoodwinked back then too. Kind of like being on the acid of the cult.
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
I did the acid once. I had already signed my SO contract before the LRH issue came out saying no more acid heads in the SO so they gave me until July 3 1979 to report for duty.
That was the day I reported.
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
I will bet my stimulus check that the majority of Sea Org members will be coerced into giving their stimulus checks to the org. That is s safe bet. Probably in excess of 90 percent will give their money away. Those who resist will be sent straight to ETHICS to do lower conditions.
After all, what other fish to fry do they need it for (unless they intend to use it to blow).
Glenn says
Dead Men…….
Thanks for your story and details. Sounds typical of the cult to wiggle waggle around facts just for a stat. Makes me ask did the Sea Ogre ever kick out acid heads who had joined before that Order came out? I was in in 1975 and never heard of that happening.
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
No, they did not. You can check in, but you can’t check out.
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
Except in a box.
There is no shame in leaving in a box.
Badafuco says
My parents were in the sea Morgue back in the 80s and me joining was looking inevitable. So, when I was 15, I took acid with my brother and a few friends. Then a few days later my brother and I told on ourselves guaranteeing we could never join. We both had to do the purif right away though. Still worth it. I’ve done that and many other drugs since the last purif I did. (3 times I did that motherf*cker)

First the scientology tv. It’s impossible to watch it for more than a few seconds.
In my opinion they should add the hypnotizing frog from Futurama.

I meant the hypnotoad

Moose. I have no doubt. Stuff they never even hoped for.

There’s a toad that you can actually hypnotize??? Can he talk too?
Old Surfer Dude says
Make that micro seconds.
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
Make that a “shake”.

Leaslie, when I did a reg mini hat I went back to the erlier policies and the registrar was a boring duty. He was sit there recording people enrolling on a service. Later he had to learn go hunting (to survive).
Ozgirl says
Can someone explain to me a bit more about what a reg/regges is please. My family member (who has been mentioned on this site before as a vulture) is causing our family great concern. Whilst he says all the right things, l’m really concerned it’s all a set up to gain access to family money and he is simply “handling” us “Wogs”. Something doesn’t add up as he is still fully committed to Scientology and saving the world. Hypnotised fool sounds like a good description of were he is at.
Loosing My Religion says
Ozgirl. A reg is the abbreviation for a registrar, a staff who signs up people on a service in other words he ask for money.
I haven’t got all the picture but keep both eyes open. Wide open I’d say Ozgirl.
And stay tuned as needed.
ze moo says
Regs are money raisers for the CO$. They usually get 10 -15% of what they bring in. It used to be a coveted job, but unless you ‘reg’ for the IAS or big blue or one of the top level organizations, you will not make much. They are seen as vultures by their publics and use methods that are considered underhanded by most.
Imaberrated says
Aquamarine says
Warn your non-Scientology family members, Ozgirl, to be VERY on guard with this family member who is a Scientologist, and to not give him ANY money and to not LISTEN to him for any length of time, but instead to be very polite, yet alert, and get rid of him fast, without appearing to do so. Tell them to keep brushing him off, politely but firmly. If your family has money, HE is AFTER IT, and no mistake! Good luck and well done for being concerned! You’re RIGHT to be concerned!
Loosing My Religion says
Ozgirl. One last thing: if your position regarding that money is such that you have decision-making power, jump on it now with your feet together and stop everything.
You can bet this family member has someone behind who pushes him. Don’t get into chatter. Say no and keep repeating it.
Richard says
Richard says
I don’t know how scn is promoting doing extension courses these days. If you can’t come in and audit out your reactive mind maybe you can keep the sucker at bay by doing extension courses.
PeaceMaker says
Richard, reports are that they’e been using extension courses for a long time to keep stats up. And members who are sort of hangers-on who can’t afford courses, or want to keep up their longstanding relationship with the org and its community, apparently have been doing them as a way of keeping up their connections while keeping regges and ethics off their backs.
Back in your day, there was such a flood of baby boomer “seeker” types and so much turnover that they didn’t have to worry about trying to keep people around to keep the numbers up – including the cash flow.
pluvo says
