I’m in a blue state which ordinarily has a thriving economy. We send a LOT of taxes to the federal government. Well, we’re in lockdown now. And I am in 100% total agreement that we should be and are doing the right thing. As severely as we are being effected by this thing, I thank God every day and pretty much all the time that I live where I do, and that the governor and other legislators of my state listen to, are guided by, and are operating on medical science-based decisions via covid testing being done in real time, as opposed, to, say, what Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson or Breitbart think would be a good idea. It is no picnic being on lockdown but everyone I know is agreed on the necessity for it and cooperating totally, and what we are going thru is NOTHING compared to what the medical people are enduring. But what is a correct comparison is Cases and Deaths per million population:

I’m in a blue state which ordinarily has a thriving economy. We send a LOT of taxes to the federal government. Well, we’re in lockdown now. And I am in 100% total agreement that we should be and are doing the right thing. As severely as we are being effected by this thing, I thank God every day and pretty much all the time that I live where I do, and that the governor and other legislators of my state listen to, are guided by, and are operating on medical science-based decisions via covid testing being done in real time, as opposed, to, say, what Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson or Breitbart think would be a good idea. It is no picnic being on lockdown but everyone I know is agreed on the necessity for it and cooperating totally, and what we are going thru is NOTHING compared to what the medical people are enduring. Let others in other states enjoy the temporary luxury afforded them of being unwilling and/or unable to confront the danger of Covid 19. Let others spew their ignorance and resentment and alternative facts. Let others have their fun chewing on their political conspiracy theories. I’ve given up trying to figure such people out. I think they have a death wish, frankly. A sort of collective death wish. Seriously. In the meantime, we in my state and in other areas of the United States are confronting and handling what is a very lethal danger to life. We are doing what’s necessary per real statistics and science and every day I give thanks that I’m in this sane environment with sane leadership and where we are all on the same page about what we need to do. In my state, there’s a LOT of help for the indigent while at the same time we VERY much like to make money, and mostly we DO. But then, you can’t make money if you’re on a respirator or dead, can you?

I wrote the D/FBO ship and told her that the org had received stolen property and should give it back. To me, that was a no-brainer. But the org was not making much money and they were not about to give any back. We recommended that the crim be sent to the RPF but they didn’t want to do that as he was an income-producer for the org. So they decidee to send him back out to rob more people in order to pay back people already robbed. My wife was the Dir I and R at the time ( Sharron Kimball Straass Weber now CO FSSO) and she told me that he could make ethics change and should have not been sent to the RPF. After he was posted in Treasury and ripped off some accounts there, he was RPFed anyway. When I wrote a KR saying that the org would be an accessory to the crime if it failed to return the money I was hauled into ethics. I found out that a CMO staff member had come up with the idea of sending the crime back out.

You talk into a tape, per your recall at any given time. The writer compiles in sequence, edits, etc., keeping you, your “voice” as real and as true to who you actually are as possible. Your story has everything; drama, suspense, grief, near death, left for dead, highs, lows…wow. Amazing. Real life tabloid fodder. Electrifying! And TRUE. My God! And you could make money! Aqua: I do not have anyone I love in the Church. I was still friendly with my ex-wife but she has disappeared (obviously disconnected) from me since I was declared ( though I have never seen the issue).

Every day that I am still alive is a “fuck you” to the church. I did not start treatment for the AIDS until it was obvious to everyone that I was going to die. My wife was afraid to go to the grocery store for fear of finding me dead when she got back. She asked me for a little prediction on when I would die and I told her it would be over in 3 weeks. 3 weeks later I had dementia and no longer recognized her. A CAT scan of my brain showed ” deep white matter disease from immune deficency”. I can afford to laugh about it now but at the time it was not very funny.
Having had my own mother pass away from dementia, my heart aches for what you & your former wife have had to deal with. These people are the lowest of the low…only they want is $$$ to live their pockets to use for their own enjoyment & to use to “expand the business”..i.e. purchase Real Estate so it LOOKS like their “growing”

I had that lie in my back pocket in case anybody started pushing. Luckily, because I was Class V org staff, that protected me. There were so few staff members, that they couldn’t be spared. I did the acid once. I had already signed my SO contract before the LRH issue came out saying no more acid heads in the SO so they gave me until July 3 1979 to report for duty.
That was the day I reported.

Regs are money raisers for the CO$. They usually get 10 -15% of what they bring in. It used to be a coveted job, but unless you ‘reg’ for the IAS or big blue or one of the top level organizations, you will not make much. They are seen as vultures by their publics and use methods that are considered underhanded by most.
A Registrar is a salesperson. They use various techniques, such as love-bombing (saying how great you are, how everybody loves you) and “enlightenment” (explaining how service will fix your exact problem). They also do dodgy shit like opening credit cards in your name, and maxing them out. The justification is that Scientology is the most important activity in the universe, and doing the services of Scientology, or supporting the IAS, which protects Scientology, it’s something that you need to do, and need to do NOW. Hubbard said, “Don’t waste this brief breath in eternity”. It gives you urgency.
Your Registrar, guaranteed, will be trying to get all of your money.
Warn your non-Scientology family members, Ozgirl, to be VERY on guard with this family member who is a Scientologist, and to not give him ANY money and to not LISTEN to him for any length of time, but instead to be very polite, yet alert, and get rid of him fast, without appearing to do so. Richard, reports are that they’e been using extension courses for a long time to keep stats up. And members who are sort of hangers-on who can’t afford courses, or want to keep up their longstanding relationship with the org and its community, apparently have been doing them as a way of keeping up their connections while keeping regges and ethics off their backs.
Back in your day, there was such a flood of baby boomer “seeker” types and so much turnover that they didn’t have to worry about trying to keep people around to keep the numbers up – including the cash flow.
