I love these comics as much as old school Dilbert! Looks like they hoovered out his account in a well coordinated reacharound. The cult is like inviting a tar baby into your wallet. Too bad there is no way to process his refund.
I agree to the max. I agree so much that I cannot even find any kind of adjective or expression to use in this post to say how much I agree.
Regraded Being is so enormously talented and their (gender neutral pronoun) work is so attractive that I’d love to know of an appropriate suggestion I could make that would help get their work into the public consciousness. But all I can really think to do is to say, “Very well done RB. Your contributions to this site are truly wonderful and appreciated so very much. Perhaps we could have an “RB Appreciation Day”? Or maybe we could give RB some kind of medal like the one that was given to Bozo Cruise? The big problem with that is that RB is the only person I can imagine who is capable of giving that medal an appropriate name and I’m certain that RB would never name a medal to give to RB.
I had 13k on my account and got this email one day from the org that I was paying into for services asking what I’d like to do with the remaining $200 on my account. Wait! What???!! Changed my view on everything
Most religions have their hands out for a donation. Some require it, and a few of those go through your pocket. Some will stick a vaccuum hose in there and suck until they get lint. Scientology sucks until they get blood.
I remember at AOLA the reg was so mad that I wouldn’t buy auditing from him. I had a good job and could have paid for it. But I was on an FPRD coaudit for almost free, and my twin and I were going to town auditing each list and having fun doing it. The reg was blowing a gasket that I wouldn’t stop that and pay him money for auditing. He got nowhere with me. Finally in desperation he regged me by saying, “You’re fucked up. Your case is fucked up and you need auditing right away to fix it.”
Can you imagine someone saying that to you when you feel fine, your life is going fine, your job is fine, your personal relations are fine with others. Yet when he used almost force to impinge that thought on me, like a faithful little sheeple, I rolled over and gave him money. Wish I’d known then what I know now.
If you take the long view, the smarmy little fucker may have had some stupid reason to feel good in the short term. He may have thought that he “won” some kind of contest between the two of you.
But now that he is a senior citizen and has nothing to show for all of his regging and arthritis is setting in and he has that strange lump under his shoulder, he is beginning to realize that his entire life in the cult had only one benefit – and that benefit was for Dwarfenfuhrer. None of it whatsoever was of any benefit to himself.
But because you got out of this rotten demented cult, Cindy you are the true winner. Congratulations to you for having the presence of mind to blow and blow hard like you did! I am proud of you and so many others are as well.
Thank you Skyler. I also am so glad I blew and did it hard and am now living a good life withoiut the stress of constant pressure to give money, without all the conitive dissonance about LRH saying one thing and then later saying the opposite, so which reference is true? And about the cognitive dissonance of seeing brand new Ideal Org buildings that are devoid of people inside.
I haven’t seen it quite as nutty as in the example above, but it’s been close.
But the CO$ is an indoctrination madhouse of altered states of thought — any evil and criminal act can be perpetuated against any Church of Scientology member by reason that the recipient must have done something similar in a past lifetime. If a Scientology member does not take abuse with a big wide smile on his face, then it’s Sec Check time.
Dotey – what a fun game. Imagine if you could say what you really wanted to say and LRH had lists designed to help you if the cult went rogue like it is today?
Here is a real life scenario:
Auditor: I know you don’t want to buy more auditing after spending $430,000 on Going Clear and most of that was for Expanded Dianetics and you have been at it for years with no progress only to spend more money flying out to ASHO and more money on repair lists only to be told you were “over run” and should have never been sold Expanded Dianetics. I totally duplicate your HE&R.

Also, the org was making very little GI at the time and this criminal robber was a hero as he was one of the few people keeping the org afloat by getting money. It turned out that it was the idea of a CMO Messinger to send him out to get more money and my report was basically saying that this Messinger belonged in the RPF along with the robber.
Although the Committee recommended that the robber be sent to the RPF, he was sent back out to steal more money. My the wife Sharron Kimball-Straass-Webber, now COFSSO told me later that the Committee (forgetting that I was on it) should not have sent him to the RPF as he could make ethics change. After he later was RPFED for other thefts, Sharron told me that it was stupid not to RPF him in the beginning as obviously he was a crim.

He had obtained the credit card numbers of public by devious means and while promising them that he would not charge their card (sold) them services that they knew nothing about. One came to the ship for the Comm-Ev while we were in Mexico. He was a staff member and made very little money and could not pay his credit card bill to the bank. He was told by the bank to tell the policia that he had not made these charges but could not do so as he would have been declared SP by the Church for reporting the crime to the police. (Continued)

This is not an exaggeration. It’s part of the Scientology maze. Good one RB. SO members and Org and mission staff are so out of touch with reality. Scientology was suppose to help make the world more sane.
My question to those still in the cult, “ how’s that been working out for you?”
Congratulations Mark. As Mike would say, you found the last straw and you figured out what to do with it.
