It reminds me of the time when I was handled (and dumb enough to accept) to leave for Flag on a Tuesday night to arrive before Thursday 2pm.
So I had to call my boss on Wednesday morning to explain to him that I wouldn’t be there for a few days without being able to tell him when I would be back. It finally lasted 3 weeks!
Luckily, I was not fired.
