In the meantime, let’s give thanks for all the brave ex*s who*ve come forward to tell their stories. Bravo!
Considering heir apparent Daniel Kingston has 14 wives and a known 150 children (could be more)…some now adults who escaped the confinement of the FLDS life much like those who “blew” from CO$…..are trying to better themselves.
Sadly when the authorities “moved in” on Warren Jeffs’ compound and removed the “wives” and children…well, you know how that went. The women are so brainwashed into living THAT lifestyle, much like COS….they know nothing else….they remain locked within willingly.
In addition, much like COS….when someone tries to escape the FLDS Kingston compound…well you know how that goes too….
I see the train a commin,’ it’s comin’ down the tracks, it’s falling off the bridge and it ain’t never comin’ back. I met a man in Reno, said he was never comin’ back. He was done with the cult, and that was that.
Doh!…you really can’t have it both ways, lil davey. If all of your direct accusers are making all those very specific and multiply corroborated allegations against you up as natter because they’re the ones with real crimes, then all that intense character assassination and nattering about them on those hate sites must be based on the same exact principle, right?
The obvious and scientologically sound reasoning here is sooo blatant that NOT seeing it is almost a diagnostic marker for being under cult mind control! Elron went on at length to drive home the point that natter is ALWAYS a sign that someone has O/W’s. Scn smear sites natter and engage in some dedicated and serious personal attacks against those appearing on Leah’s series, so the folks that order them to be created MUST have O/W’s of their own, per Elron’s infallible word on the subject.
If you’re a $cilon who, somehow, didn’t notice this glaringly obvious point, then you ARE a blind, unthinking, mind-controlled Ronbot who not only does what he’s told without question or thought, but thinks in the way he’s been programmed as well. Waking up to that fact can be as momentarily distressing as it was to RB’s cartoon staff member, but better a few moments of distress than a lifetime of being this blind and mind controlled!
Get out now…and take your family with you. Things are only going to get worse for the cult from here on out, which means that those still in will suffer even more than they already are.
Elron and Miscavage both set out to make themselves revered as Gods. Come on intelligent members no man is perfect, no man is infallible, qno one deserves this much power and most of all no one deserves to be treated like a doormat just because they question ideas that appear self serving and in sound. Like this said get your families and get out!!!
speaking of “money”. These “members” of Scientology all seem to invest in each other’s business orgs, and sometimes these so called businesses look nothing more then a shell corp, or LLC. Very interesting.
In addition, I did run across something on K. Alley. One Scientologist trying to write a huge life insurance policies, and some dubious looking financial strategies. These members seem so weaved into all kinds of business transactions via Scientology members.
It would make it harder to get out even if it seemed you had the financial resources. If you have all your money tied up with Scientology AND other members, imagine how difficult that would be?
I call it the “Scientology Jerk Circle.” Everybody goes to clam doctors, gets their taxes done by clam accountants, uses clam lawyers, buys their vitamins from clam health food shops – clam musicians form bands with other clams, get photos done by the latest “star” clam photographer… clam hairdressers… it’s all one big circle jerk.
Meanwhile, there’s better *everything* outside the jerk circle. I started using only “wogs” for personal and professional services a long time ago, and they are way better.
If anyone watches “The Walking Dead” let me say that I’m a big fan of the series and consider it a “study in the breakdown of humanity” however until Leah Remini’s Sci-the Aftermath series I never considered this and was hoping I’d get some feedback here.
First, one of the series main characters “Tara” is a lesbian played by Alanna Masterson (only girl of 4 Masterson sibling actors who are all as I have just learned second generation Scientologists!) Alanna is not gay in real life she’s married and a new mother. Alanna’s father is a famous Rugby athlete who is not in $ci just her mother.
Next, there is an episode called “Clear” in which Morgan another character is on his own and “clearing” the area of zombies. Each time he marks the area “Clear”. This is Season 3 Ep 12. Now with Remini’s series the word “Clear” has brought new meaning to me.
Then comes again another Episode; Season 6 Ep 4 called “Here’s Not Here” wherein Morgan the same character above still “clearing” encounters a man who would be his mentor who changes his life by teaching him “Akido” but first knocks him out and places him inside a jail cell inside his cabin. Later after Morgan begins to accept “Akido” whose foundation is “protecting yourself against your attacker without injuring them” in the episode Morgan learns the cell was never locked the bars were in his own mind.
My question is this: “Does TWD have a $ci bent or is this anti $ci?” Like I said I’m a big fan of TWD and up until now I never paid any attention to $ci although I’m trying to educate myself by reading this and tonyortega.org blog as well as Leah’s series.
Or maybe this is just a coincidence?
Regardless………Thank you @MikeRinder @tonyortega94 @LeahRemini for all you do to shed light and bring attention to this horrible cult. I’ll always follow you, read your blogs, and watch the series to stay abreast of your successes!
The executive producer of that show, John Linson, is the brother of the infamous Jenny Linson. He has never been a scientologist but he knows plenty about it…
Barbara & LuAnn I just was sharing how that show changed for me after Leah’s $ci the Aftermath – I realized I’d seen things in it that had a different meaning to me then than they do now. Perhaps unlike most of you $ci is something I’d never considered prior to learning how innocent people have been abused, families separated among other atrocities. Thanks to Leah, Mike & Tony for enlightening me. I hate bullies $ci seems rife with such types of people. Like the title of this blog-I believe “something can be done about it” it’s just a matter of time.
Thank you Mike for sharing that about Linson. It does help knowing this while I contemplate my perspective on TWD. With further enlightenment I may begin to notice subtleties in other films and TV shows that might be trying to indoctrinate the unknowing public.
A real ‘salesperson’ in $cienoland wouldn’t care about ‘exteriorization’, they would divert the clam to other things like Purif and promise the stupor powerz come later. Like somewhere around OT 11. Or was it 12? It doesn’t matter, the target will always be moving away.
When I get a chance, I’ll go up to the Model, Idle Morgue in Pasadena to see if they have any body routers. I’m also going to take pictures of the Morgue, inside, with my iPhone. They generally leave the side doors open.
I remember listening to a son of Hubbard a long time ago that was on a TV show. I went to see if I could find it someplace on the internet, and I did. He was a critic of his father, and what he says on that TV show is pretty much the same thing that we are hearing now, but all the information from those different “orgs” or different group members is even more then even he could share, but is in line with what he had stated in the 80’s.
I remember something from working when I was in my later twenty’s. I was a manager in a country club. I was responsible for a lot of employees. One of them was a young kid, about 16 yrs of age. He was such a neat kid, but he was having some problems. Just not real confident socially. Great worker, great kid. I always worked with him on his schedule. He could only work so many hours because of his age and etc. He was unsure of himself. Less talkitave. I could tell something was bothering him, so of course I paid attention.
One day, while we were both at work – it was a Sunday, two young boys, about his age walked in with suits. This was a private club, so seeing someone who were not members, or kids of members was a little “off”, but in my mind they were “kids” who probably didn’t know how these kind of clubs work and I wasn’t alarmed. I asked them if I could help them. They just stared at me. Then I saw them trying to follow and talk to this young employee that I mentioned, as he worked. It was weird. They would go as far as to follow him into area’s that most people would know you shouldn’t do. The kitchen, the dinning room, etc. So, I took him aside and asked him what was going on. My original thought was that something horrible had happened to his family, or a friend.
He told me that they were there trying to get him to go with them. They were part of a religious org called Scientology. This was around 1991. He said he had attended but that his parents were against. He said his parents said that he was not to respond to these people anymore, and that he was getting lots of calls, and he couldn’t answer them. Now they just showed up at work. Pretty weird. Interesting that they sent “kids” = Young boys about his age, in suits. Pretty bold. I could tell he felt embarassed and unsure what to do. He said he told them they had to leave, but would not.
They didn’t leave when I told them to leave. I did so but was careful because they were young and I thought that they apparently did not understand. But, they would not leave. I had to get others to help escort them out without it becoming an altercation.
That kid was shaking so much. I could tell he was so unsure of himself, and not sure what to do. I stuck to him like glue and even followed him home. He called me a lot just to talk. He was stuck in the middle of his parents religion, and this new religion and felt so unsure. The more his parents pressured him, the more he wanted to go back to this other group. Holy cow. He didn’t go back while I knew him.
I didn’t know Scientology would go this far. Has anyone ever heard of this kind of action or behavior from other Scientologists? The Valet guys told me there was an adult in the car these kids got into after being escorted out of the building. Would they actually go after a minor kid like that by going to his work? Or was this something out of the norm??
When trying to get paying customers, the clams will do almost anything. And if they were really trying to recruit the boy into the Sea bOrg, anything goes. The boy was probably someones ‘stat’ and they really needed him.
Thanks, I never could grasp how bold they were, and this poor kid was a gem, but easily targeted. I am so glad that the red flag went up in my head and that I could try to be helpful.
He worked under me for some time, and as far as I know he did not. I was glad he was reaching out. Kids in their teen years can go through a lot of crap. Although I was in my later twenties, I remembered that. It had me alarmed that they (cult) would step that far over.
This behavior by scientologists is not at all uncommon. From your description, it sounds like this was some sort of recruiting effort. They were probably trying to get him to join staff or the sea org. Being a minor, he would probably need parental permission to join, but that could be handled after a contract was signed (a stat for the recruiters). This could also be some sort of ‘reg cycle’ (money extraction) for the young guy’s next step on ‘the bridge to total freedom’ that has to be done NOW (for the current weekly stat before 2:00 on Thursday) so that planetary clearing and unprecedented expansion can take place. A scientologist will rarely take no for an answer and will stop at nothing to get their stats up for the week. They often work in teams like this. It’s shameless work and what would embarrass them would kill a normal person. That goes double for the OSA goons monitoring this and other critics blogs.
AmPaddy, of course the cult would do that! Recruiting minor teens and young adults is exactly who they target. That’s because most adults have realized that working 100+ hour work weeks for prison industry wages under incredible pressure and duress just never turns out well.
But since lil davey, the cult’s sadistic absolute ruler, banned $ea Org personnel from reproducing and raising families, there are fewer and fewer “born into the cult” 2nd and 3rd gen kids to be recruited. $cn has partially “solved” the problem of not having enough slave workers by recruiting overseas. More and more, $ea Org recruits are being found in poorer countries and shipped to the U.S. to work like dogs for almost nothing.
As a simple rule of thumb: The cult will do whatever it wants until it is stopped. That’s the creed of a sociopath and if $cn is not an organization created by a sociopath and currently being run by a sociopath, then I don’t know how so much evil, being sold to the credulous as good, could have ever come into existence or continued to operate!
Set to record the 20/20 episode…. My daily immersion in the Aftermath series and Mike’s/Tony’s blogs resulted in a dream last night about being granted visitation to an elderly man held deep inside a cave. He was a Scientologist imprisoned there with guards (because he feared leaving), hadn’t seen daylight for years, and he showed me that he was guarding 3 petrified leaves of some kind that were the last known relics of its kind. He was kind and hadn’t seen or talked with anyone in years, excepting his guards, but he showed me the leaves and I thanked him and told him how much he was loved. I kept praying he would voice a desire to leave the cave but he didn’t and I had to leave.. Petrified leaves???? How odd! I do pray daily for $cnsts to have the courage to walk out. I hope they will have the courage to tell their stories publically to help shut this cult down. Momentum keeps building. Thank you A&E, Mike, Leah and the countless others coming forward.
@TenaciousTexan I looked it up as far as I can tell there are 3 $ci “churchs” here in Texas if you ever hear of a protest post it here I’ll go and even make my own sign.
Did he look like an older version of the last known pic of Heber Jentschz, the cult’s nominal president who hasn’t been seen in public in a bout a decade?
“Petrified leaves” sounds a lot like how folks who’d really like to exit the cult, but are trapped in internal exile, like Heber and Shelly, must feel…petrified to leave!
He was faceless in that he had long stringy hair that hung in his face and he was hunched over. But I knew he was kind and I did not feel afraid or threatened. I was just so sad and wanted to get him to want to come out.
That’s one of the disheartening aspects of all of this, the fact that no Scientologist is allowed to question their “faith”. However, as someone who identifies as a Christian, on some levels, I can understand. I was born and raised as a Christian (Protestant) and my wife and I still attend church with our two children. However, I’ve always questioned my own faith and wondered “Is this all really true? Did people thousands of years ago truly have the Word sent down to them from God? Was Jesus really the Son of God, born from a virgin? Or is this all just a collection of stories (like fiction) that men wrote down (like L. Ron Hubbard) and we blindly follow because we were raised to believe it?”
Until very recently, I’ve always thought “are these Scientologists really that crazy and blind that they won’t question their so-called faith or discuss their skepticism with their own families”? However, looking at this based on my own personal experiences in Christianity, even though I question things from time to time, I would be extremely hesitant to discuss this with my family and friends for fear that they would look at me and consider me a heretic, or even an apostate. And I fear the damage that could cause to my relationship with them.
So now I am beginning to understand the pressure that current Scientologists (especially those with family members in Scientology) experience to not actually verbalize their skepticism of their own religion. They end up, like me, quietly following along and not discussing it openly out of fear of damaging their relationships. I will note however, that the Church of Scientology itself seems to help create this pressure and even push it to the extreme (disconnection threats, sec checks, etc.). So the external pressure from the church that is placed on them is likely even greater than the internal pressure that I place on myself.
Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there is one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear — Thomas Jefferson, writing to a nephew.
Well … Ron himself was audited by Roos and Mayo (who literally saved his life more than once) and then threw them under the bus and declared them … then Ron nattered about mission holders like Martin Samuels who probably got more people into Scientology than anyone else ever … then about his wife Mary Sue for screwing things up for him … then about staff members in a generality type tone in those mid and late 1960s HCO PLs … then continuously also in a generality type tone about anyone connected with psychology or psychiatry … then … well, one could get to thinking if one started thinking too much about this when in the CoS …. (one thing I wondered about throughout my 35 years in Scientology was why it was apparently OK for seniors to continually natter about juniors without being accused of having overts and missed withholds about those juniors … you know, HCO B ARCSs and MWHS and all …)
And of course when Miscavige continually bad mouthed people … no one ever thought, “Gee … when someone always natters and gets violent …..?” Or maybe people did think it …
People DID think of that then remembered. If you point out a high ranking Scamology Exec as committing overts against you, you will be labeled Type Two PTS per Hubbard’s Tech.

TenaciousTexan says
It’s a deal. I will try to keep my petrified leaf-ear to the gound and let you know. I will join u if it’s not too too far. Let me know as well!
Harpoona Frittata says
Did he look like an older version of the last known pic of Heber Jentschz, the cult’s nominal president who hasn’t been seen in public in a bout a decade?
“Petrified leaves” sounds a lot like how folks who’d really like to exit the cult, but are trapped in internal exile, like Heber and Shelly, must feel…petrified to leave!
TenaciousTexan says
He was faceless in that he had long stringy hair that hung in his face and he was hunched over. But I knew he was kind and I did not feel afraid or threatened. I was just so sad and wanted to get him to want to come out.

It’s about time cannabis met the kettle…
Mick Roberts says

(one thing I wondered about throughout my 35 years in Scientology was why it was apparently OK for seniors to continually natter about juniors without being accused of having overts and missed withholds about those juniors … you know, HCO B ARCSs and MWHS and all …)
Joe Pendleton says
And of course when Miscavige continually bad mouthed people … no one ever thought, “Gee … when someone always natters and gets violent …..?” Or maybe people did think it …
Mike Wynski says
People DID think of that then remembered. If you point out a high ranking Scamology Exec as committing overts against you, you will be labeled Type Two PTS per Hubbard’s Tech.

Now, more than ever, I want to know how much these stories are based on true events.

Scientology don’t need no stinkin’, thinkin’ people! They just need slaves…

??? If one gets interested in scientology, that’s about how long it takes these days to get in and out of it.
(Love the train wreck graphic.)

“Fuck off and leave me alone!!!” – exteriorization, Scientology style. Gotta love self-determinism.
Old Surfer Dude says
“Fuckoff and leave me alone,” said the wog to the body router. The body router then ran inside and put paper on all the windows.
