I usually publish these after I have accumulated a few and add some points to the long term graph.
But it has been more than a month now, and no word from either Jeff Mintz or Sandy Dodwell about ANY “good news” at Flag. It’s a pretty good indicator that things are not going too well at the top of the Bridge. They ONLY put out these things when they have something THEY think is “good news.”
Remember back when they first put these out they included all of the following completions? Purif, Objectives, Running Pgm, Super Power, Clears, L’s, OT’s, OT VII’s. They long since dropped mentioning Purif and Objectives Completions. Then they dropped the Clears. Then the “OT’s”.
You can see what the long term trends look like — bearing in mind that this ONLY includes the weeks of GOOD stats. We now have 53 weeks worth of stats over the period of Nov 2013 to present. So it is approximately one third of the total weeks that they have “good news.”
As you can see from the graph below, the only stat that was generally uptrending was the Running Pgm (orange line). It is also the only service that can be done repeatedly, some people have already done it 3 times to be declared cause cubed. Though over the last 6 reports they seem to be crashing out and the tide of causativeness seems to be ebbing.
On the other hand, Super Power Completions (blue line) is just a long term stagnant Emergency condition (according to Hubbard administrative technology this means it is in fact a “Danger” condition and drastic action needs to be taken to bypass those normally in charge of this activity and ferret out the out ethics). They built an enormous building costing hundreds of millions of dollars specifically for this service, and based on the response it is a complete bust. Surprise, surprise.
And finally, the line that tells the REAL story of the state of scientology. This is a reflection of the number of people reaching the top of the Bridge (OT VII — the gray line along the bottom). This is especially pathetic and does not add up to an organization that is supposedly undergoing unprecedented expansion, 47X or 60X since Golden Age of Tech II (depending on which official statement you are looking it). This is the exact time period these stats reflect.
Under any circumstances, if that expansion were occurring somewhere in the world, it would HAVE to eventually trickle UP to Flag. These services are ONLY available at Flag. Everyone in scientology is heavily pushed to do the Running Pgm and Super Power. And everyone in scientology MUST do OT VII to reach the top of the Bridge (OT VIII). So, this microcosm represents a very accurate picture of the world of scientology. It proves there is no “unprecedented expansion” but there is unprecedented contraction.

On the first “Good News” – Life after L’s success story… why do they just put initials, instead of a full name now? It could be a made up story. In fact, I think it was written by a Sea Org worker, because if he files back and forth to South America, the country is spelled “Colombia” and not “Columbia”. He would know this. But it’s repeatedly mis-spelled. ON the other hand, if he flies to a city called ‘Columbia’ in one of the various U.S. states, that’s another matter. But all we have is a couple of initials, so there is no way to verify who this supposedly is. Anyone can writes some fake success stories and stick a couple of initials after it.
thetaclear says
Nothing tell the real tale like a correctly graphed production graph. Flag’s production graphs are more in a Non-E trend than in an Emergency one. But a lot of push is being done to get public to Flag, allegedly the Model Org” whose production record is supposed to exceed by far, the production of other Orgs.
But if we take many of the magazines issued by Class V orgs and, “SHers”, and AOs; we can see that the number of bodies in the shop had been decreasing dratically over the years, specially in the last 2-3 years. Most Orgs todays are practically empty as witnessed by many special correspondents, UTRs, photos taken of many of these Orgs’ parking lots, and by examinations done on many of these magazines’ completion lists.
These facts demonstrate that the CofS is actually COLLAPSING at an incredible rate, specially during the last 2-3 years. I would dare say – even though that this is only my own unverified perspective and intuition – that the Ideal Org “strategy” was one VERY cleverly devised as an attempt to “solve” a hidden-from-the-public severe financial insolvency that would have otherwise, meant the close-down of the CofS as an institution. Of course, the new IAS statuses was also an attempt at handling insolvency. I am no accountant to amount to anything, and I am very, very far from being trained or even knowledgable in economics. But I feel that DM knew that his Ideal Org “bright idea” handling for the alleged “Why” of “not enough SH Orgs”, was a perfect excuse to hide an insolvency situation, and a way to “solve” it.
Mike might shed some light into this, as he has all the correct inside information about all this, and I don’t. But I feel that DM always KNEW that his programs were meant to handle other well thought agendas, and might have kept this totally to himself. Why do I think this? Because how else can we explain the existence of Scn as an institution when the “New Starts” graph had been in decline since the ’80s, and more severely so since 1991? How can the Orgs even be able to pay for rent and utilities (and staff pay) with a lot less income? The “Ideal Org” was a very clever way to handle an imminent “bankruptcy” (insolvency), that w/out this “expansion” program, would have meant the dissolution of the CofS in VERY few years. That’s my take in all this.
But because the big donors are each time less and less, and because the not-rich publics are already w/out any more money to “donate”, then it is logical to assume that there are no more “bright ideas” to come up with to deter this insolvency, resulting in the collapse of the CofS. I assume a maximum of 2 more years for this to happen. I don’t think that they would be able to hold it any longer. But I could be mistaken, of course, though I don’t think I am. Only time will tell whether or not my prediction would happen.
Allice Addertounge says
I don’t think it was an impending insolvency issue that prompted miscaviage to launch the ideal org program, rather is was an impending irrelevancy problem. With the church no longer actually delivering scientology there needed to be a new focus for the remaining members. Buildings and status.
The sea org reserves alone are a billion plus, and all the property of the idea orgs bought with donor money but owned by the church, millions to the church for nothing.
No the church has a solvency problem, more money and assets than it knows what to make good use of. And that is a problem because it doesn’t look right.
Alice Addertounge says
The solvency of individual orgs has never been the problem of the church management (who all the money ends up controlled by). Individual orgs have never been able to call money down from up the lines they were required to flow it. It’s a one way deal.
Somehow individual orgs have survived, staff borrowing money just to keep the lights on, pleas in late night phone calls to local members for quick cash, anything to survive.
Not a problem that will flow uplines very well. Of course that was a pretty big violation of the power formula, not sharing it widely with the ones on whom you built it. There is a big disconnect when flows only go one way.
Mike Wynski says
thetaclear said, “the Ideal Org “strategy” was one VERY cleverly devised as an attempt to “solve” a hidden-from-the-public severe financial insolvency that would have otherwise, meant the close-down of the CofS as an institution.”
No. It was a “strat” to comply with IRS regs for a non-profit corp. That being the money built up in CoS reserves was too much and X amount HAD to be spent on legal items. Real estate (new church buildings) was the one chosen.

Class 5 orgs are the backbone of Scientology. All the missions funnel their people to these, and all the people at advanced orgs came from a local Class 5. I just checked out the number of Class 5 orgs in the United States at the official Scientology web site. There are 45.
The local org to which I used to belong has, at most, 50 staff and public. If this is true across the country–and from what I’ve observed, I think I’m correct–there are 2,250 Scientologists in the US.
I’m feeling generous, though, so let’s bump this number to 100 staff and public per org. That means there 4,500 church members nationwide. But wait! It’s Sunday. Let’s assume there are 200 hardcore staff and public per org. We now have 9,000 staff and public in America. Which is still an incredibly small number! These inflated figures put out by DM have to be total lies.
It would be interesting if everyone who reads Mike’s blog, sent in the real number of staff and public of the orgs they’ve observed.
Mary Smith says
There are at most 150 people at the denver org. 50-75 regulars including second generation.

I doubt they had that many L completions a week. They don’t have enough Class XII for that. I also would like to know GAII Solo NOT is that an other redo of the level? A monthly Source mag would give more accurate stats. If I am right these sources are Flag Consultant emails. The Source mag would break it down by grades…
zemooo says
While all of the completions are said to be ‘new’, how many are re-re-redos? All that ‘checksheet time’ stuff that used to be the advertising catch phrase seems to have gone by the way. Do the clams actually publish the names of those who have moved up in OTness? I haven’t seen that level of detail in some time.
As Mike has noted, $cienoville is hiding more and more, just so all those graduates of the Lron School of Counting and StuporPowerz Management don’t catch on to the scam. And it does seem scammier more and more. Or they just using ‘postulates’ and getting these numbers from a dartboard?
Tommy Prophet says
Yep, I wouldn’t be too surprised to find that they are just flat out lying about the L completions, or using Voodoo counting methods. Only one Class XII auditor and 50 completions? It would just be admitting failure if they said the real number. They are still in denial and keeping up the charade.
secretfornow says
there are a bunch of new L’s auditors. At GAT II events they explained how they couldn’t make them before because the tech hadn’t been fixed and now that it was they could finally make them and made couple dozen or so. I don’t recall the numbers and specifics (and don’t care) but I was there at the time. They paraded them all out and whoop-dee-doo and stuff. Also all about how all the L’s to date had been done by the original auditors and how they were well thanked for all their years and blah blah blah.
So somehow even without Class VI and VII courses, they’re making L’s auditors and beefing up for more unprecedented expansion.

It is encouraging to see the further decline of $cientology, especially Flag, the “Greediest Place on earth”. I believe that in an earlier post, Mike expressed the opinion that $cientology is already dead, it’s just that a few people have not figured that out yet.I agree and expect that as the orgs get even more empty, even the true believers will have to admit that $cientology is dead.

Too bad the Failboat doesn’t do Good News memoranda for OTVIII completions. That would give us the whole picture of what’s going on at the top of the hierarchy.
I wonder if there might be a little passive-aggressive revolt going on among the public. There are only two types of people going to Flog these days: 1) more money than sense and 2) old-timers who’ve invested lots of time and money into the cult. I’d like to focus on the second group. These people have had their brain washed in Kool-Aid for decades now, with the constant theme of “LRH is always right”. I wonder if, somewhere in their minds, they’re making a differentiation between programs that are “definitely LRH” and “based on LRH”. They know that the Ls are “pure LRH”, but that Stupid Power and the Running Program are “based on LRH”. As for OTVII, no one’s certain how much LRH is left in it after GAT I and GAT II: Electric Boogaloo.
On that basis, I’d be willing to bet that the majority of people doing Stupid Power, the Running Program, and OTVII are in the More Money Than Sense category, and the Old-Timers are doing the Ls (which, like the Running Program, can be done multiple times). The Old-Timers still believe in the Tech and in “pure LRH”, and they don’t want to go anywhere near stuff that might be squirrel, even if it’s pushed by the cult. Plus, they’re almost certainly sick and tired of being jerked around on OTVII.
Could it be that the old-timers are voting with their feet? And if so, can we start calling it Clexit?

So two of the success stories have been in Scientology for 30 plus years and now finally they’re having great results? Mr worry all the time flying to Columbia just now getting amazing results? That says a lot about the rest of their Scientology experience !
I know these success stories are required, but doesn’t anybody realize that by raving about the last thing and how it cured their awful situation, they’re admitting that nothing was really working? What have they been doing for 30 years in spending thousands of dollars? How sad.
LDW says
Happy Father’s day to you and me and all the other dad’s who frequent this blog.
Question: Do they even have 1,000 people on or through OT VII still on their lines?
My understanding is all the VIIIs before GAG II have to do it all over again with the new GAG II solo course and their stats just don’t seem to reflect even 1,000 rubes making the grade.
I know at least 1/2 a dozen who have thrown in the towel over the past few months.
Things are looking pretty grim in Miscavige’s wonderland.
But it does look like Talevi, Parodie and Drew Johnston might still be raking in the bucks with L’s cycles.

people were coming down for 6 month checks and were begin told they had to stay to do that plus first do the new course, extending the oh-so-zippy checks by “3” weeks. The fireworks were like 4th of July – all kinds of flapping angry publics. *munches popcorn.

I am totally baffled by the strategy to lie about expansion when the faithful can see the contraction all around them. Why not lie about something else that is not so observable? Same with SuMP. When anyone wants to know about news or programs or anything “new” they just Google it. If Google Scn news, you just get a paid Scn Ad at the top and bad news down to as far as Google results goes… NO good new. Nothing about SuMP except it is a scam. Why is he doing this?? It’s interesting how those success stories while saying how wonderful what they just did was, at the same time state how lack-luster their previous experience had been. I was “normal” worried from sunup to sundown — really? This is someone who is probably at least “Clear” or perhaps even OT IV. 30 years of “normal”, is not saying much for this guys successful application of the “tech” of life.
And Mr Cause Resurge who never experienced a process that met his expectations from his initial foray into the world of Scn? Congrats on becoming an addict to running around a pole. Heads up for ya, you can run around a pole in your back yard for considerably less than paying for accomos and CRRD at Flag. And you might find that running in a nice park is even more fun than running inside and then having to deal with the vulture regs that swarm the base.
And why are all the these “most valuable beings on the planet” hanging around the WUS Flag office when they could be delivering at Flag?
Sandy hurry up and get 600 more on VII so the world can be saved. Yeah that’ll do it for sure. So remind me again how many years has this 10,000 target has been in play? 20? Sandy, you’re such a slacker. Get with the program babe. Your stats suck, I’m surprised DM hasn’t RPF’d you.

Hubbard’s legacy:
Everyone upstat by means of doing Hubbard’s running in circles tech.
I think the cognition one ought to get from doing Hubbard’s running in circles tech, is that Hubbard as a con man had a massive Freudian slip mentality, where even Hubbard fell prey to his own running in circles tech theory.
Since Hubbard in the running program advices says ancient civilization OTs in outer space used to do the OT running program as rejuvenating therapy on the OTs in those civilizations.
The height of Scientology is Hubbard admitting failure to Sarge, and then telling Sarge he planned to go do the running program like an OT by flying around Arcturus, which aligns with the 1978-79 Hubbard running program advices/writings.
Fooled by his own tech delusions.
And now that legacy is carried out by the Scientology movement, and they are upstat at this running in circles.
What a huge unappreciated joke Hubbard’s inadvertently laid on his made up Scientology movement followers.
Cult founder’s Freudian slip hoisting them all by his own petard which he even believed in.
Interested Party says
Very well put
chuckbeatty77 says
You know maybe this makes sense after all.
LRH’s final ‘case handling’ tech which he even planned for himself was running (or OT flying) ion circles.
Hubbard both for himself and for his movement are currently running in circles if you believe in Hubbard’s tech theory of ancient OTs who used to do large circles in outer space as OT therapy.
Hubbard’s legacy, everyone running in circles!
Robert Almblad says
If an thetan is not composed of MEST how can he run around in circles? He would have to be some “thing” to run around something.
chuckbeattyexseaorg75to03 says
Agreed. How can the soul be this soul flying “thing” that even “exteriorizes” merely out of one’s skull, the out of the body “proof” that one is a soul capable of transmigrating from dead body to newborn baby’s body and continue lifetime after lifetime?

The final straw will be when Tom Cruise is found to be no longer with Scientology.
Being pals with TC is David Miscavige’s hidden standard that all is well in Scientology, despite international statistics crashing for years.
Once TC won’t answer Miscavige’s phone calls, or TC makes a statement to the press about no longer being involved with the church, Miscavige’s world will come crashing down and he’ll depart suddenly with half a billion and go hole up in Bulgravia.
