Notwithstanding the fact that there never has been a ‘clear’ made, only people who had been convinced by scn that they’d been given superpowers. In my experience, it was all illusory and quite temporary. The crash afterwards was devastating; everything taken away, and more.
Anyone can get to Clear, almost in no time. Just show up to the org, and the registrar will clear all of your financial resources, past, present and future in a nanosecond!

Apparently they didn’t get any satisfactory bids – or else there is some sort of complex proposal in the works contingent on things like zoning approval and financing, which is what has happened with the Alexandra Hotel property in Boston. This shows that Scientology has bought a lot of white elephant type properties that will be very hard to sell and get their money back out of – even the ones that have been renovated, have been reconfigured for Scientology’s specialized uses, and may also not have much market value or be very attractive to potential buyers.

I ran a company and know a good friend who is a commercial real estate broker and he said the real estate agent was instructed to put this out by David Miscavige so the Scientologists in St Louis never can find out what it sold for.
We were told we had to have the building in order to go Ideal and 11 years later – Scientology now says they don’t need it. Sounds like a scam to the Wog World.

Kat, I don’t think they’re yet doing anything more than a bit of shuffling of deck chairs on the Titanic, yet. While they’ve now given up on two or three properties for sort of tactical reasons, I think their additional purchases for some of the orgs like Ventura (formerly Santa Barbara) and Albuquerque (another classic SFO) more than make up for it.
I suspect that total square footage owned – a figure Scientology proudly touts as supposed evidence of “expansion” – is one of Miscavige’s personal “stats” that he will not allow to go down under any circumstances. I have wondered if Scientology would at some point start to unload some of the many buildings it owns in the LA area, which have to be under-utilized and in some cases perhaps even virtually unused at this point, but then again they might not be able to unless they could come up with some sort of shuffle to keep that stat of total square footage going up.

As any long term scio knows, staff have NEVER been able to do their own bridges while on staff as a general rule.
Very very few staff clears were made, partially because orgs often were not allowed to deliver DCSI or CCRD (the actions which “verify” the clear status) The ability to deliver these was a yo-yo, Management kept changing the privilege. Any staff member who actually got auditing couldn’t afford to go to an AO for the actions. Or if they originated “past life clear” status, they were either last in line (never delivered) for the CCRD/DCSI or they couldn’t afford to go to AO.
I’m guessing that the orgs are delivering auditing to their staff due to lack or public PCs or as fish bait to lure in new staff. “SEE! Join Staff and YOU TOO can go up the bridge!!”

Oh, and P.S., one staff member I know is on OT VII right now. I asked how she can afford to get on and stay on OT VII on staff pay. The answer was that a whale at the org donated money for the purpose of getting staff their OT Levels, and she was granted the money to do this with. I wouldn’t be surprised if she love bombed him and he gave the money specifically for HER. But that wasn’t part wasn’t confirmed or denied to me.
(For those who don’t know: Scn pay system is like if you took a week’s take from a Tip Jar from a lunch counter, took 10 percent off the top for management, then took 30 percent of the remainder and divvied it up in “unit system” among the staff according to a convoluted hierarchy – unless there were lots of back bills to pay, in which case the entire tip jar was scooped by the owner) (that happens almost every week)
Your pay was usually about 10-20 bucks on the rate occasion there WAS pay, with a staff of 35 or so.
There is an early HCO PL that talks about a staff member being allowed to “give up his units for the week” to the HGC auditor, and get auditing from that auditor.
That was predicated on the idea that the weekly units actually had a value, and the week’s pay was not usurped by those above.
I never ever ever saw it happen. We tried it during a time way back in the early days, but the unit never had enough value for it to be worthwhile for the auditors. Our Org was split into Day and Fdn and the auditors had Wog Jobs as well.
Sometimes there would be temporary solutions like having the Day Auditor hired to work for the Fdn Org or vice versa, being paid by the hour, the pay generally at or below minimum wage – just enough to allow the auditor to scrape by.
Then a new management rule would come out and call that squirrel and cancel it and the Auditors went back to driving cab or cleaning carpets on their off hours. (Saving the world! One Ride At a Time!!”
They really stopped all that stuff with the advent of the Universe Corps. We were supposed to just do our jobs and the UC would come to town when we went St. Hill size and make us all OT.
They also then discouraged staff going to AO on their own, and getting the auditing at “staff rates”.
Staff used to be able to get OT levels at 50% off full price.

In my experience, staff got auditing ONLY through co-auditing during their “Personal Enhancement” time. And the co-auditing was more like a round-robin rather than a 1:1 affair. That got me some sessions from auditors MUCH higher in the hierarchy a couple of times; repair by an 8, and NED from a 12: They WERE qualitatively better than “mere” class IVs or VIs, in my experience. Davey-Boy’s ‘auditors’ can’t possibly be as accomplished as the 8s and 12s trained by Tubby personally. Their TRs were by no means ‘wooden’ and confrontational.

The only auditing I got on staff were Repair Actions when I would crash and burn on my post or have some awful thing happen – death assists for Grandma or something.
I did all my bridge as public when I left Org staff and joined an ABLE staff group.
Our attempts at co-audits were stopped at the gate after weak attempts to establish them – the tape, “A Talk On a Basic Qual” was always being violated. You could never ever finish your TIP (staff training program) to the point where you could get actual ‘bridge enhancement time’ as opposed to post training.
Remember QTSM? Qualified and Trained Staff? If you were a Div head, your full training included the entire OEC. No bridge for YOU until you did St. Hat, Mini Hat, Full Hat, Exec Trs, Exec Essentials Course, and Full OEC. Even a department head had to do OEC 0 and the OEC vol. for their division.
In the meantime, all kinds of big study orders would come down that “applied to all staff” and it would just throw the TIP out the window. Everyone had to stop what they were doing and do the new thing, violating the tape I mentioned.
12.5 hours of study time per week allowed, when you were working two outside jobs while also being on staff 45 hours a week…
nobody went anywhere on the bridge as a general rule.
The only auditing were bandaids to keep you IN, to keep you On Staff.

Dawn – There is nothing “confidential” in the auditing up to and including “Clear” so she could audit anyone on that. She probably co-audited with another person, received auditing from a staff member or even bought some auditing while she was auditing other people which would “balance the flow” as a scientologist would say.

It’s always been that way. Supposedly, a trained Auditor is above his/her case while auditing, so is more-or-less ‘clear’ in that situation. The TRs are how the auditor can ignore any emotions that naturally come up in session.

That girl is probably happy…she doesn’t know yet that the aftermath of going clear is a big letdown. Except when other scino’s come up to you with awe in their eyes because you have a state they hope to achieve. IKR! 40 years ago, I attested to ‘clear’ Not too long afterwards, I took an honest look at the possible futures for me at Flag. I’ve never gotten so depressed before or since — nearly suicidal (But I couldn’t TELL anyone that or life would have gotten worse than the RPF, which was their “solution” to my emotional state.

Luis discovered that several members from his Org – Orange County, also had been extorted to purchase the cross now, now, now. A little scheme that worked for the Registrars. Luis sued Scientology. It forced Miscavige to open Super Power.
David Miscavige had masterminded a the get rich using other people’s money buying real estate scam with Super Power and extorted over $220,000,000 from the fine folks in the cult. Seeing that real estate was big money for his luxurious lifestyle, he launched the Ideal Org Scam putting pressure on members to give all until it hurts.
All you do – convince the clubbed seals that in order to clear the planet with the epic expansion of Scientology – open big, fancy buildings. Then – have grand openings for fanfare. It is part of the “shill”. The Ideal Orgs are big and empty – I went to several. Then sell some of the buildings and pocket the “donations”. After all, the clubbed seals signed legal dox where they can’t have the donation back.
St Louis is selling their Ideal Org building now. It is a big secret. The real estate company is not allowed to discuss the price. They have suppressive language on the brochure. They are using Suppressive Marketing techniques. Google: 2345 Lafayette “The Das Haus” for sale. St Louis Scientology Ideal Org raised over $15,000,000 for the building they had to have now, now, now in 2007. 11 years later – they don’t need it after all.
Surely the US Government can see through this and shut the cult down.

I watched one of those People Magazine Investigates Cults where they featured a cult called “The Nubian Nation” started by cult leader Dwight York. He got sentenced to more than 100 years in prison and has exhausted all his appeals. He is certain to live out his life in prison locked down for 23 hours per day.
If you watch that episode, the FBI was portrayed as very active and highly motivated to throw his ass in prison.

AFAICT, the US won’t move unless and until scn (MustSavage) is convicted of incontrovertible crimes that violate IRS regs for a ‘church’. And even then, they’ll move so deliberately (slowly) that it’ll be YEARS before anyone external can detect that they’ve started to act.
IMO, Davey’s being sent to the big house (and those Bubbas) will be sufficient in and of itself. While the Munchkin® is thus ‘distracted’, he’ll be unable to devote much attention to devising his next crimes against humanity.

Nit-picky but significant correction here. Harlem Ideal Org claims to have made 40 ‘clears’ when in fact they have only made 40 oversized & gaudy ‘clear’ certificates. Since the earliest days back in the late 40’s when Hubbard was supposedly conducting his now missing research there have been NO ‘clears’ made by Hubbard or anyone else in the cult. There are no ‘clears’ and no ‘OTs’, only these worthless* certificates that declare the state of ‘clear’ and ‘OT’. This has been a very successful long con and remains so to this day.
*Okay, maybe not completely worthless. I have it on good authority that these certificates make excellent liners for birdcages, albeit overpriced liners. My unsolicited advice for scientologists; save the newspaper that was used to wash windows and re-use it for your birdcage liners. It will be much better for your budget than buying more ‘bridge to total freedom’ and you will be a much happier person.

I’m in full agreement even though I attested to ‘clear’ 40 years ago at Flag. Whatever I attained, it wasn’t stable and I soon CRASHED; lower than I’d ever been high. Since then, I can’t point to a single element of scn that has helped me in real life while I have found dozens of things that impeded my abilities or happiness. Worst thing I can place: ‘Study tech’. Instead of improving study skills, it degraded them, making me LESS certain that I understood what I’d just read, which is EXACTLY what Tubby intended with his ‘star-rated’ checkouts that concentrated on tripping the students up, not ensuring they understood the material.
But since the real purpose of scamatology is to make money, not clears, my bet is they are being successful at that.
Wonder how much the average clear has spent by the time he attains that lofty, but impossible title?

smorbie – Above I’m guessing that 200 hours of auditing at $200/hour which is $40,000 plus $10,000 more for mandatory donations and “incidentals” buys you up the processing side of the bridge to some sort of realization about letting go of the past or “I mocked it all up.” Part of that would be a tax deduction.
It used to be you were encouraged to coaudit your way to Clear. Now they discourage that and reg you for professional auditing of Grades and NED. All for the money.
I co-audited my way to Clear at the class 5 Org but then when I went to FLAG tolto get on my OT levels….Flag told me (after they had a huge sum of money they got out of me to secure my Bridge for my OT levels and had me sign lawyered up contracts stating they can keep my money cuz they are a “religion”) I had to re do my Bridge at Flag cuz it was the Mecca.

For a newbie in scn there is nothing too mystical about this. The space opera comes later, or at least it did in the 1970s. Apparently DM requires current scios to read and accept a lot of it early on.
If orgs are relying on internal staff for completions, that also says a lot about the state of things – it starts to resemble a pyramid scheme, where most of the goods and services are actually just sold to insiders. Though at least the long-neglected staff, often mislead to expect they would get training in part as recompense for low pay, and then consistently disappointed, may be getting some attention if only out of Scientology’s desperation.
Harlem is an org that theoretically should be benefiting from the improving fortunes of the surrounding neighborhood. But that sort of savvy and well-off demographic, is just what Scientology is utterly unable to capture in the 21st century.
Ms. Jones, being a staff HGC auditor probably got her ‘training’ for free. So no paid auditor hours in her folder. At this rate, every staff person at the Harlem mOrg will be OT 8 any day now.

Yep. They come to my door too. Always nice, though. They don’t know that they’re in a cult. And with no transfusion of blood…They die. And they do this voluntarily.
Aw, come on, dude, we don’t automatically die just because we refuse blood transfusions. There have been great strides in bloodless surges and other bloodless life saving treatments that we accept. Also, no risk of getting AIDS, although that’s not the reason we don’t accept them, it’s just a plus.

ACTUALLY ilea, MANY have died because of those beliefs. Each to his own though. There are many situation where you get a REAL blood transfusion or you die. If suicide is part of your religious beliefs then that’s your right.
In the past, yes, Jehovah’s Winesses have died because of refusing blood transfusions. In those days, doctors would pressure Jehovah’s Witnesses to accept blood. They’d sometimes refuse to treat us any other way, even if another way was available. They’d often take these very ill patients to court, including children, to try to force the issue. Some doctors will still do that, but the majority now r willing to look at, implement the alternatives, thus more lives are being saved. But even if there is no other way, we will not take blood. It’s not suicide, as we believe in a resurrection of the dead. Look at it this way for a moment, please. Let’s say a patient has cancer, it is a very serious form, and the doctor wants to do surgery, then chemo and radiation after. The patient agrees to the surgery, but not the chemo and radiation, opting for something else that won’t make them so sick. The doctor complies. Eventually, the cancer returns, and the doctor says they must do radiation and chemo or the patient will die, but the patient refuses, wanting instead to just let it happen quickly, and sparing themselves a long drawn out process that may not achieve the results the doctors are predicting. So, they die. Now, this scenario is becoming rather common today. Are these people committing suicide? Is it just because it’s for religious reasons that you and others are against our practice of not excepting blood transfusions? I know I will probably get yelled at by somebody (or several somebodies) for this comment, but I wanted to try to explain our position one more time, as this seems to be the main topic when Jehovah’s Witnesses are brought up. It’s good to see people are having a discussion rather than abuse flying back when questions are asked or things being brought up.
You’re post caught my attention because within the last few days I read about a woman who had passed away from breast cancer after choosing to go vegan instead of getting traditional treatment. She could’ve lived for many more years if she’d gotten the traditional treatment but instead has left behind a husband and child, only aged 4 or 5.
I find it very sad for them but also very selfish for her to leave behind a child so young to grow up without a Mum. As a parent I would do anything within my power to be around for my kids as long as possible.
My point is that as you can see this story has nothing to do with religious beliefs and I still don’t agree with it.
Thank you for trying to explain your position but also try to understand others in the sense that we don’t all disagree purely for the fact you’re doing it for religious reasons.
ilea, you are just stupid if you think that taking a blood transfusion that WILL 100% save your life and is painless is equal to taking painful chemo and radiation treatments that are many times unsuccessful.
An adult can of course choose to die over a belief they have about a life saving blood transfusion but, if you deny a child life saving blood transfusion you are a criminal who needs to be hanged.
The name calling is unnecessary. Transfusions do not save lives 100% of the time. Irregardless, we refuse them because the Bible says the Jehovah God doesn’t want humans taking in blood, whether human or animal. And as regards your comment on children, the law here disagrees with you. Would you want a doctor to take away your right to decide for your child on a course of treatment? The point i’ve been trying to make is a lot of people here seem to think that refusing blood transfusions is an automatic death sentence. It isn’t. Look up the successes of bloodless surgeries, ulternative treatments for yourselves, please.
