Just a bit of fun for Saturday.
Ian Lee, who has written two posts here, performed in St Petersburg with his band (Led Zeppelin II) last night.
He is the perfect example of someone living life large after departing from the RCS. And he is a mighty impressive drummer who does the memory of John Bonham proud, even rocking his most famous solo on Moby Dick.
The little clip just gives a glimpse. Seeing the show is thoroughly entertaining, especially if you are a Led Zeppelin fan (and if not, you will probably become one, it is a reminder of the enormous number of incredible songs they wrote and performed).
Check them out if they are in your neck of the woods.
Is Ian Lee the son of Jackie Lee?
Jackie was an auditor at PAC and a lovely person. I recall she had a son named Ian.
Great performance, thanks Mike for posting!
Wow!Thanks for posting this Mike. I’d read his previous write ups but had no idea of his bands’ name. So I just checked out a few more of their online clips and they’re all really really impressive. If you close your eyes on Kashmir, you’d swear it was Plant himself – spooky! I’d say Ian definitely appears to be flourishing! Hope they tour the UK sometime – I’d definitely be there.
show rocks
Music wordfs and it helps People
I saw Robert Plant perform once in The Hague in 1995

Great stuff, he’s really killin it 🙂
Dave’s pissed the guy’s not flipping burgers at McDonalds.
I honestly haven’t heard of anyone who has left SO who has ended up flipping burgers at McDonalds. Even if they did, the thing about flipping burgers at mcDonalds is that they pay more per hour than you make in Sea Org in a week so if you stop and really think about it, why is that such a deterrent to leaving anyway? And yeah, Ian ROCKS!
Pretty cool!
