If the number below is anywhere near close to true, and they spent just half of it on hurricane relief in Haiti they would have hours of videos and press releases showing the schools they built, homes they constructed…
But of course, there is no such thing. The best they might come up with is a video of a few people in yellow T-shirts doing touch assists.
$5 million would go a long way towards relieving pain and suffering in many parts of the world.
It doesn’t.
At best it will be used to buy new buildings and perhaps fly a video team somewhere to stage some shots to encourage people to donate more.
Michael Winters says
The Cardones, if they were smart, would demand some transparency to KNOW where their money is being used. As for their choice in where to spend their money, there are plenty of REAL non-profits that actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. “It” being something specific that is realistically attainable and not half-way in some nebula of BS. The IAS mandate is a little too broad in my opinion.

Always the same: make believing, appear immense, and defraud a max!

What 5 million dollars could do for people in the Third World. OMG, I can barely confront it, its too sad. I have personal reality on the enormous good that even $500, that even $50 can do, for a family in one of these countries. For the poorest of the poor, even $5 is a windfall. And here is all this money going to Miscavige…God damn his charred soul for all eternity. And God damn these fatuous fools, these smug stupid culties. All right, I’m sorry. Rant over.
Kat says
Aquamarine… I feel your pain. Saddens and angers me to the core.

No mention of the Volunteer Ministers in Kathy’s thank you? It’s a sign!

Liars and thieves don’t have much of a conscience do they? The IAS stands for all that any religion isn’t.
On a different note. It’s Melbourne Cup in Australia today. The whole nations stops for that one race. One horse in it is called “Excess Knowledge.” That’s my nag this year, since most of the knowledge in my head is excess because I haven’t a clue what to do with it.
Tally ho!

Well. I suppose exaggeration goes with the territory. Along with the lies and deceit. THE only way to cover their failed purpose is to dress their actions up. IT’S such a shame. This group has been lying for so long they actually think it’s the truth. THEY believe their own lies.
Lawrence says
Surely their TR’s can be a lot better than that.:)

CaptainbillyD,
I hear ya friend. I don’t have the gift of gab, so please excuse that.
I’m waiting and watching to see what happens to Hillary and/or any of her cronies. I’m thinking it’ll be nothing, since the co$ has gotten away with a lot of the same crimes as her for so long.

John Oliver should fund some actual relief efforts in disaster zones and video them, and then show the actual cost of the work (very low) and then say “The Church of Scientology could have done this for $10,000…but instead they raised $5,000,000 to just do this…” and show a few people just giving nerve assists or locationals. I bet that would get someone’s knickers in a twist.
i-Betty says
My dad paid for a school to be built from the ground up in Burma earlier this year. Total cost: £8000. Imagine the very real relief $5,000,000 could provide. It makes me so sad to think of it being wasted on over-sized football trophies.

Scientology IS the 3rd party to any relationships issues.
ALWAYS!
Mike Wynski says
Just scum with money.
I do remember an Org called Domes for the World that actually builds cheap, hurricane proof, long lasting homes in places like Haiti. From what I remember they spend a MUCH higher % of their $ on actual end products than the likes of the Red Cross.
Ms. B. Haven says
IAS humanitarian efforts are to IAS coffers as Hubbard’s research & results are to scientology pseudo-tomes & fantastical claims. Nonexistent.

Dear Mr. Cardone,
I’m saving up for a lovely Russian wife like you have. Can you tell me please how much?
Thanks,

If you have to ask, you can’t afford it. Same with IAS patron statues.

Harvey, this is going to sound really catty. And I don’t like Kelly Preston but I think she’s quite attractive. You don’t know me but I’m the first to acknowledge what I consider beauty. I know its in the eye of the beholder too. But I have to say, I don’t see what you see in Mrs. Cardone. To me she looks like an iguana hanging off a tree. But then, I’m not a man, so just saying.
Harvey says
No, I understand Aqua, but it was my understanding that they have a catalog and you can choose which ones you like.
Aquamarine says
A catalog? You’re putting me on 🙂 Well, if you’re serious, I’m thinking she must have appeared in the discount flyer. He snapped her up so he could flow the rest to the IAS. Meow Alert: I have no idea why I’m face-shaming this woman. I don’t know her and from the moment I saw her photo I had this instant antipathy. Makes no sense. Maybe its because she was ok with marrying a smarmy little putz like Grant Cardone. She’s well paid, that’s for sure.

Completely off-topic, my apologies, but lots of online reports today that Tommy Davis is being blamed by Mariah Carey for her breakup with James Packer. Supposedly Davis convinced Packer to end the relationship, because of Carey’s out of control spending. Does anyone know if Miscavige is behind this, using Davis to try to get Packer and his billions back into the cherch?
Harvey says
Your SP Declare is completed. Please report to Ethics.
That is all.

Tommy Davis and his wife Jessica Fessbach along with Tommy Davis’ “best friend” and Michael Doven.
Do I know? Nope.
Do I believe? Oh hell yeah.
Aquamarine says
With one exception, out of control spending is very out-ethics, says the cult, within one notable exception, which is, of course, those times recipient of the out of control spending is the cult itself. Indeed, when cult is the recipient, any rational, controlled spending is out-ethics.
Aquamarine says
Ugh, typos! Sorry, have to remember to edit.

Manipulation of donations and evidence of their proper distribution is I’m sure a specialty of the midget and his army of lawyers, accountants and financial advisors. I will bet you dollars to donuts there are as well right this minute as we speak forensic accountants in some government agency looking for that little, itty bitty incident that got overlooked that’s gonna bring the roof down on His Midgetness.
Dave, I’m sending you a nice big towel because the shit is definitely gonna hit the fan real soon and I want you to be prepared.
Please send my best to your lovely wife Shelly,
Harvey
Harvey says
P.S. Dave, it might be a good idea to gather up maybe a couple a hundred PI’s to start getting the down and dirty on key IRS and any other governmental officials that might be sticking their WOG noses in places they shouldn’t. But knowing your foresight on such matters you probably already have. Some kindly donations to their “campaign fund” would also help I’m sure.

I’m sad to say it, but I don’t think that there is any kind of active government investigation of lil davey the savage or the cherch as a whole that’s underway right now. I’d love to be proved wrong, but I believe that it will take a whole lot of pressure being brought to bear from above in order for those types of investigations to be re-opened.
In part, that’s because any IRS inquiry would inevitably involve exposing the agency’s own very dirty linen and craven cowardice in caving to cult’s massive and successful effort to harass, coerce, threaten and perhaps even blackmail the agency as a a whole and its top level officials as individuals during the initial investigation and secret negotiated settlement which led to the big “The War Is Over” triumphal speech by lil davey in 1993.
Just as authors, publishers and media companies have been targeted for massive attacks by $cn in the past that sent a clear message to everyone else not to mess with the cult unless you also wished to become a target, the IRS was overwhelmed, outflanked and ultimately defeated by the cherch in exactly the same way, making the IRS and other government gencies more than a little wary about taking it on again.
petlover1948 says
sadly, i agree with you..thanks

Good Points Harpoona. But don’t give up hope. Remember that old movie “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” with Jimmy Stewart bucking the system?
So much is happening now in the GASP (Golden Age of SP’s). There is 47X times the pressure mounting on the midget and his minions. More evidence is being revealed. More people are stepping up. The midget will not show his face in a courtroom and everybody knows it. His bullying tactics are evaporating.
2017 should be a very interesting year. If I were the midget I’d be researching extradition friendly countries right about now.
Harpoona Frittata says
No, I’ll never lose hope. It’s just a matter of time before the cherch is brought to its knees. And I’d say that it is already in such a steep decline that I don’t see any way that it can pull itself out of.
Left Side Drive says
I always envision these IAS donation goals to go straight into some sort of offshore bank account somehow related to or tied to COB.

It used to be based in the Netherlands Antilles, a well known tax haven. Since the official dissolution of the Antilles in 2010, I understand the IAS continues to “operate” from the don’t-call-us-a-tax-haven-even-though-we-still-are island of Curaçao.
