They claim the AO in Joburg is part of their drive to do help bring about Ron’s prediction that the next great civilization on earth will spring from Southern Africa.
Of course, these words are taken as literal truth, though they were clearly just an attempt to ingratiate himself as he was in S. Africa at the time, just like his pronouncements about the wonderful job the apartheid government was doing (though he may well have believed that).
What is so corny about this is that they present this idea that they are building the next great civilization on earth with a straight face. And then go on to announce that people are “flying in from all over the world” [to take advantage of the price undercuts available due to exchange rates] to take services.
But what stands out even more than that — almost every face is white when the white population of South Africa is only 1/12th of the nation.\
Ah, the hypocrisy of the blind…

I have scientific contacts in SA (I’m an Anthropology student — at 65!). SA is way behind on vaccinations, it was only 3-4 months ago that one of my contacts who is thirty was able to get vaccinated.
SA also has a huge vaccine refusal issue. That makes visiting SA dangerous right now, or rather I should say a lot more dangerous. SA has big crime issues, and they suffered an insurrection last spring that made your January 6th thing look like a garden party.
The African National Congress has no real competition, and has corruption problems like every effective one party state.
Long term? I think SA has a damned bright future. The young folks I know there are dedicated and care. They are the future.
Now, here’s hoping I remember how to make a link clickable. I chat with a bunch of these folk, and they are awesome!

That they duplicated the photos of the completions to make it seem like they had more is laughable and predictable. They show 40 photos but in fact there are only 20 people. Considering it’s probably a month or more worth of completions, that, again, shows the shrinking world of Scientology.
Additionally, showing 14 students in the course room and stating that it’s a “highest ever”, well…..

Dotey. The only probable reason I can think of flag tech and admin staff now posted in S.A. is because they were given the choice to either go there or into the RPF.

In practice they are eating the cake on the heads of Aosh EU and UK, to which they leave thinner and thinner slices.
But I don’t think EU and UK take it badly, after all scn is the game where everyone wins. It is not so?

The 2011 census figures for these categories were Black South African at 76.4%, White South African at 9.1%, Coloured South African at 8.9%, Indian South African at 2.5%, and Other/Unspecified at 0.5%.
I guess al the white people are there because SA $cientology is cheaper because of the Rand.

I have some friends there doing services. Many flag tech and admin staff are now posted in South Africa, many we have known since they were children. The reason the culties that I know are there is price and the PR about the tech delivery. That plus the exoticness of it all.
Sure, they promote this because at least it generates some level of excitement.
Inside the bubble, they are waving nice shiny things in front on the sheeple as usual, and it works on most. The falseness of it is justified by the amount of survival it brings. Exaggerations aren’t lies, really. Hmmm, maybe even a bit laudable.
It worked on me.
Wonder what shiny things are being flashed in front of you?
