I just found Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath on Netflix. I’m not much of a tv watcher, but I’m off work due to an injury, so I started watching Netflix. I’ve love Leah since King of Queens. I saw the Aftermath and decided to watch it. Binge watched all three seasons, then reading your blogs, Tony Ortega’s and Aaron Smith-Levin’s blogs. Then I had to re-watch all 3 seasons. I hope you are able to get justice for all the Scientology victims out there and hope the government opens it’s eyes and takes away their tax exempt status. Thank you and Leah for your dedication!
I need this on Netflix in Sweden ASAP! Although I’ve watched all three seasons before I want to be able to tell all my friends and family to go do the same on Netflix.
Also, the way Mary Kahn said “Fuck off” to Scientology in episode 18 of the podcast… funniest and best thing ever!!! She’s a cool lady 😀
Respect for what you’re doing. Many, many, many thoughts, but I’ll just give you one for now.
Notice in later programs your moving more towards corrections as opposed to unhinging Scientology and hurtling it into space.
We all have seen staff acting badly at one time or another. Perhaps history repeats inside Scientology as it has all over the world. Man goes in cycles of bad and good but ever upwards – especially over the last century.
Repeating history is a character flaw of people but not always their institutions. Technology is in place, but applied selectively. That is a failing we’ve come to expect everywhere. You might owe a few apologies for your parts in these failings. Likewise, apologies are in order from those who failed you.
But this does not necessarily indict Scientology.
I have observed the bulk of Scientology public and staff are every bit as well-meaning as yourselves. I have also observed that the great majority of public, owing to insufficient IQ or tone level, do not qualify for staff, though some may have been accepted. I would respectfully proffer this as your own failing as well as those who signed you.
Further failings followed no doubt. Go after anyone wronged you.
But remember that working in Scientology for a living may not have been a good fit for yourselves as well as others.
I respectfully declined when approached.
Very intense, I watched for second time. Thank you for speak out on behalf of us we could not speak out before.
Please continue to speak out . we are too many people here waiting for justice on this cult.
This is an amazing series. This is just as important as Me Too, celebrity abusers exposed, Black Lives Matter and similar.
It resonates with me, not because of any affiliation with any cult, but because I have had to separate from a malignant narcissist (MN) step mother after 40+ years. (A term Professor Stephen Kent mentioned in season 1, episode 9 referring to L Ron.)
This cult (and I suppose most cults) has all of the characteristics of the MN and borderline psychopath:
The unwillingness to EVER confess to wrong doing, even when presented with clear evidence, “gas lighting”, “supply”, “triangulation”, “punishment / rewards”, lack of empathy for others and an enjoyment of seeing others suffer.
The outcome is the same: ruined lives of good people. And the most heartbreaking is the families and children ripped apart.
So thank you Mike, Reah and all the other contributing to this series. Brave does not even begin to describe it. This Ponzi scheme has to be shut down and I hope you use your platform to shut down other false religions.
This is such a righteous thing that Mike, Leah and everyone who appears on the show and works on the show is doing. I didn’t know a thing about Scientology – my only thought had always been it’s just “some weird religion that celebrities were into” – until walking past a church of Scientology in Florida with an Anonymous member a about 8 years ago, who then began to educate me on the “religion”…. Ugh, I can’t even use that word!…cult, it’s a crazy cult! I always reach out to friends and family to get them to, if nothing else, just watch this show and educate themselves. WE can do something about this! Keep fighting the good fight everyone!
I really want to thank you, Leah Remini and everyone involved in creating this documentary and sharing their own experiences. It has always been so interesting to me, from the outside looking in, how people who are in fact intelligent kind people, be brainwashed. I feel like it’s similar to NXIVM or any cult. Everyone wants to be a better version of themselves and before you realize how deep you are, your whole mindset has changed. Watching each episode deeply saddened me and I want to share my genuine empathy for the many lives affected by such a horrific organization of lies and blackmail. They need to be taken down. Your bravery and sense of responsibility to expose this cult has touched my soul. So thank you. Not only have I learned so much but today I see that there are still truly good people who want to use their power for good.
The only way an organization like this will be dismantled is to first believe the victims. Then the IRS needs to remove their tax exempt status. Doing that will cripple organizations like this that have spent millions on property, propaganda, and literature. Thank you Mike and Leah for 3 seasons of compassion, empathy, and love. I pray your good work continues and cults like these are dismantled.
This is courageous work Leah, Mike, and the Aftermath team are doing—accomplished with precision and empathy. Also, Leah should get an award for moxie and badassery!*
As the attention, following, and awards demonstrate, “Aftermath” is meaningful and compelling television. The move to Netflix is surely commanding a massive new wave of exposure. I hope, with U.S. success, Netflix puts onto their viewing platforms outside U.S., too.

Thanks Mike and Leah for all you are doing! I just started watching on Netflix this weekend and found what you are presenting to be informative as well as appalling.
As a Navy veteran who took an oath to protect the United States Constitution from Enemies both Foreign and Domestic I cannot believe that they can get away with violating all the freedoms that the Constitution grants as well as stands for. I am equally disturbed by the fact he wheres the uniform of a Decorated Captain with a large amount of fruit salad ( ribbons ) on his jacket. The Women and Men in the Military have Earn those by trial and fire and for him to where those is is an offense to all those whom are serving or have served.
I wish you and Leah both God Speed in your endeavors and know that you will succeed in bringing this Greedy 5’3″ Narcissist with a Napoleon complex down!
Ciao Derek (vecchia spugna! ) I got from Mike the info that Netflix only bought it for their US service. Don’t know went will arrive to EU. But it is already doing great in US, it is in the top10 maybe and they will later bring it to us. Do well.
Mike, you and Leah are disseminating the truth about Scientology far and wide.

Fricken makes me so happy.
You are accomplishing “PLANETARY CLEARING” OF Scientology.
That is a Very Well Done!
Thank you.
Doug I don’t think it would be a great week for him neighter for those in his proximity. I just heard that two Xmas special boxes of McCallan 75 are already on the way to the Gold base.
This is a prime example of what was exposed in the series….hateful degradation, trying to intimidate and keep silent the horrible truth. Just like the Nazi s Wow. But they eat their own children! Sick as sick can get!
Great news to keep the pressure on Scientology to disband itself.
Here is a quotation from Louis Farrakhan that was distributed to me in East Tampa yesterday by the NOI.
“If Satan cast out Satan, how can his kingdom stand?” Louis Farrakhan.
Farrakhan was talking about the current election of course. But the application is greater to Scientology. How can Hubbard as the original dead Demon, cast himself out?
Mike, given the groundswell of bad publicity about Scientology over the past few years, is there any way to determine if Scientology is now experiencing negative cash flow?
It seems to me that things won’t really change until they feel that cash flow has dwindled to the point that they will have to begin divesting themselves of some real estate holdings to meet their cash requirements.
Has anybody escaped Scientology who might have a good grip on their finances?
I am under the radar and pretend to be an active member of Scientology so I won’t lose my life.
I personally know two active Scientologists who plan watching the program on Netflix.
They are close friends and staff members. They are past life Clears so they think they can “handle” the entheta. They took the PTS/SP course so they believe they can “confront and shatter” what SP Leah Remini has to say about their Church.
It is only a matter of time before more and more Scientologists decide to look and think for themselves. The Orgs are so empty.
I can’t wait to see the effects of hearing the truth for the first time in their lives.
Scientology is a suppressive organization. Scientology abuses, ruins and destroys lives of dedicated members and then hides it.
Good Job Mike and Leah.
Thank you for all you do to help expose the truth.
You are literally saving lives.
The UTRs are my favorite scientologists. I’d bet there are plenty of other Under-The-Radars, maybe even a majority in scientology who are UTR. This stuff keeps COB worrying, wondering, and anxious.
Imagine always looking over your shoulder waiting to be approached by “the authorities” & hearing this “David M you are under arrest for crimes against humanity”…..
Imagine never being able to trust even ONE person….so afraid that you’ve even sent your own wife to monitored seclusion under lock & key & cameras 24/7 because she knows too much.
Imagine having to triple lock every door afraid someone might come to do harm to you in the middle of the night.
Imagine having a “food taster”…..afraid to be poisoned.
Imagine having to drink yourself into oblivion at night as it’s the only way to get sleep.
Imagine wondering just WHO will take your place & when will you loose it ALL.
Indeed—with “Aftermath” now on Netflix (so far, in the U.S., with hopefully other countries to follow), and if pandemic conditions continue (more ‘shelter-at-home’), it is hard to imagine active Scientologists NOT tuning in to watch the series.
I know I had an awfully hard time believing all the dead-agenty type statements concerning Leah (leaving) because I knew from friends in L.A. how active and beloved Leah was for many years. I thought, “This does not add up. For years and years, she and Angelo are prominent, active, well-loved group members, and now…. what is this?” It struck me as just too weird.
With the introduction of “Aftermath” onto the Netflix platform, I could see active group members APPLYING “Think for the yourself,” and related credos TAUGHT BY THE GROUP, grab the bull by the horns and say, “Let me see for myself what this is all about. (How bad can it be.)”
I’m so excited by this! I dropped my cable and was never able to watch Season 3. I suspect I will binge the whole thing tonight. All the best to you and Leah – take care and stay safe.
This is a significant development. Now the uneducated masses will get a chance to see the truth. In this period of Covid-life there’s a lot of people who have exhausted their Netflix catalogue choices (more people staying indoors watching TV) so I expect more viewers will watch this than to be expected in usual times. This is perfect timing! I feel this will significantly speed up the demise of this destructive cult.
Congrats Leah and Mike and the rest of the team behind this. And A&E for having the balls
