The disaster capitalists are at it again…
They are helping the victims of terror by giving them (not the terrorists) copies of the WTH. I am sure they will find the precept about not murdering someone really helpful.
Once again, the insanity of this is that THIS IS WHAT THE IAS CLAIMS IT IS FOR. You give us your money and we use it to help at every disaster all over the world.
Yet, here they are, asking for money to get WTH booklets — that they are charging .66p (85 cents US) for EACH! They COST them no more than 20 cents.
Not only is this NOT a serious enough disaster for the IAS to cough up any funds for, scientology is using it to MAKE A PROFIT on the sale of the useless booklets they claim they are going to hand out to the victims.
This is sick.

Capitalizing on people’s grief, fear and pain. Is there no low this cult will not sink to? No line they won’t cross? This is disgusting. Shame on Scientology for attempting to further their agenda on the backs of the victims of terrorism. Shame.
Dead Men Tell No Tales Bill Straass says
I am sorry to say that there is no line they will not cross, there is nothing too heinous for them to do they have no conscious. There is no one they will not sacrifice for their “cause”. If they consider that the greatest good for the greatest number require large numbers of dead staff and parishioners, that is the price that they will pay.
I believe this, because when I was in I felt the same way and I was by no means the most fanatical of them. I was willing to die for the cause but I was not willing to kill for it. There were many staff more deadicated than I who were willing to take responsibility for what must be done. In KSW it says that doing 7,8,9 and 10 are unsocial. Murder is unsocial. Those people who were more responsible are naturally the one’s in charge. I should salute them. But they don’t want my salute, for I am an SP. I am not inclined to salute them anyway. The Church ARE the terrorists. Even ISIS is only threatening to kill you for 1 lifetime. The Church wants me dead forever.

Off topic but thanks to Peacemaker and Wynski for correcting my confusion on the power supply for military “77 set” radios carried on the back by soldiers, (my soldier days were well soaked with a large consumption of alcohol). The batteries were magnesium based not lithium. However, there must be literally tens of millions of them scattered in the environment worldwide. I still have to this day have one of the wooden forkliftable creates the batteries came in. Saw one in a junk yard sale after leaving the army, they make great lockable chests.
But there was a rechargeable battery that was very accountable and extremely expensive they used in the command vehicles that I was chosen a few times to deliver personally in the field by helicopter, you don’t loose or misplace one of those! Maybe they were lithium based, it was the early late 70s I think.
But the military is incredibly destructive to the environment. One time I saw well over 2 dozen 44 gal drums of aviation fuel opened and pushed over and ignited because it was too much bother and expensive to send them back or forward them to a new location. A bulldozer was used to crush and bury the drums. In Moreton Bay Queensland fisherman occasionally still drag up ordinance in the nets from being dumped after WW2. The Americans pushing helicopters off carriers after Vietnam etc, a bloody wasteful disgrace!
The military like Scientology doesn’t think with their actions, the result of chain of command insanity filtering downwards.
Paul Cocovinis says
‘…kept the org open for people kicked out of hotels..’ Yep, sure they did.
Let’s see, the attack occurred at around 10pm Sat night at which time the org would have been officially closed for over 4 hours and most probably the only people still there would have been a solitary nightwatch person and maybe one or two SO posted personnel (FR, LC, FBO?) sweating over their CRs for the week.
Should anyone there have actually got wind of events unfolding at the time and then conceived the bright idea of opening up the org for those hapless hotel-less souls a mile away, I’d summise that the most that would have been done, given that the street the org is on is near dead at the busiest of times and provided no natural route to sanctuary for any evacuees, would have been a sign placed on the locked doors as a gesture and then heads down for the night.
Note the omission of any mention of anyone actually taking up their disingenuous offer. If they’d provided cover or respite for just ONE person, it would have been milked for all it’s worth of course.
Charlie Wakley is the PES DAY. The weekend is covered by FDN staff and so, if he’s still living in East Grinstead, it’s highly unlikely he’d have even been in London on Sat night.
I’m sure and I know there are plenty of genuine guys in there who really do only want to help (and who’s willingness is consequently exploited).
And then there are those who’s faces light up in the face of such disasters at the prospect of the potential photo ops, income and stats they represent.
I believe Wakley is one of those. ‘We’ll be doing this 24/7.’ ‘This will not stop until we have a city and country without war…’ blah de blah de blah. What a complete crock.
The arrogance and delusion is strong in this one. And always has been.

I would like to write to my Senators and Representatives concerning eliminating the Church of Scientology’s tax-exempt status. However, I do need some specific information for the letter rather than stating generalities. In that vein, can anyone provide me with examples that differentiate David Miscavige’s personal benefit from donations from other religious non-profits that recently have been investigated for the similar suspicions (e.g., Joyce Meyer, Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen and others, mostly exonerated). These people, too, achieve tax-exempt status by living in mansions often described as “parsonages,” drive expensive vehicles, travel in private aircraft, have private landing strips, all to fulfill obligations of their “ministries.” How is what Miscavige does different? Can anyone provide specifics? I want to be able to include this in the letter, along with a current list of other alleged crimes. Any help would be appreciated.

Research this site. Mike has covered that aspect and Miscavige’s clever use of using the organisation as a religious cover in some detail. He has no need of cash money or bank accounts in his name. Ortega covers it too on his timeline, plus a few other sites. With Miscavige you’re discover with research you’re seeing what kept him in power for so long and pretty much untouchable. He lives behind smoke and mirrors coated with legal and religiously protected mumbo jumbo, yet he has direct access to billions of dollars. His compromise for such power is he is too paranoid to even step outside for a burger or go out at all without heavy security and secrecy. Welcome to the world of Scientology management. Hubbard ended up the same – on the run from his own conscience, the public at large and legal servers. Not much of a life is it?

Attack this status, and you are doing every taxpayer in the United States a great and heroic service.
While a working Mom pays her taxes and cannot afford new shoes for her child, with his church’s tax exempt status, David Miscavige is being measured for size tiny Louis Vuitton pumps with extra engineered elevation. The injustice of it all is staggering to any thinking person.
Barbet says
First, I apologize but I have a couple of “never in” questions:
1. If LRH defined an SP to include judges, politicians, then he said when he returned he would return as a politician…does that mean he’d return as an SP?
2. When LRH returns (21 yrs after death?) how will you recognize him if he’s in a totally different body? He’ll just say “hey, it’s me!”? Is there a secret passage that only his faithful know? A scar or brand on his body?
I’m not being smartypants – I honestly don’t know.
Thank you
Aquamarine says
Hey Smartypants,
Just kidding 🙂
LRH defined an SP as anyone in any profession who was against Scientology. These would not necessarily be judges or politicians. He painted SPness with a very broad brush but probably considered that judges and politicians would via their professions have more expertise and power to harm Scientology (and him) than SPs in other professions. He also considered the mainstream media an SP profession because he believed the MSM had it in for him and Scientology.
Now, as to how anyone was supposed to recognize him when he returned after 21 years, this is a very good question.
Which is the answer I give when I haven’t a clue and I need some time to think 🙂
Seriously, I would say that this particular “knowing” was understood to be something on the “theta” (Scientologese for “spiritual”) level. In other words, when he returned, his new “beingness” would somehow communicate in the thought universe to others that it was himself, returned, and that he wouldn’t have any identifying physical marks or anything like that.
Look, I’m sort of cracking up now because what I just wrote is total conjecture on my part and the truth is I don’t know. I asked it myself, back in the day. Someone responded, “Well, we would just know”, and I shrugged and said, “Okay”.

Not a pleasant topic to contemplate before breakfast. This is akin to the Mafia proposing more liquor licences be issued for supermarkets & corner stores.
But for Scientologists to attempt to spread their scam for advertising purposes & to profit from disasters, especially man made atrocities is beyond belief for a civilized, let alone “religious” response. It is truly sickening. I hope the police arrest their asses for hindering relief operations.
It is also becoming sickeningly obvious that the only people who ever listen to a card carrying Scientologist is another card carrying Scientologist. This leaves a similar response as watching some of those nature program segments where the parents eat their own young, it stunningly halts your thinking process! Scientology takes crafted stupidity to a whole new level.
Mike’s intention to post this glimpse of the truth about one of Scientology’s operating principles is enough reason alone organised Scientology needs to be disbanded forthwith and de-registered as a religion worldwide.

Gus Cox says
Yeah, even the food they “gave” to the police forces was, as admitted in that letter, “kindly donated by a range of cafés, including Pret, Starbucks, and Eat.”
So they’re handing out stuff donated by others. Including the WTH booklets which they’re profiting from.

Hi everyone! 🙂 Just a quick post to wish you all a Happy Wednesday. I hope anyone who reads this can find a quiet moment in your day to think of something happy and smile. One minute where your everyday concerns go away from the front of your mind and you are able to just relax and rejoice at being alive and appreciate the beauty in the world.
Even just a quick half a minute to stand outside, ignore the loud traffic and other sounds, and listen to the wind in the trees and feel the air on your face, to watch a bee floating around a flower or a puppy running in the park… or anything, whatever makes you smile and feel happy. I wish for each of you to have such a moment at least once today, and hopefully everyday.
Skeptics and nay-sayers… of which we all are at times, including me, of course there are so many negative things going on, the news is full of upsetting stories, it’s overwhelming, and hard to do this when the bad seems to be everywhere, but you can choose to put those thoughts aside and take a small moment to see only the good, the light, the happy in life. So give yourself this gift. You deserve it.
Love to all, on this Wednesday and every day – T.J.

They don’t? Never-in here, and since I have never needed to use the restroom in an org, I have to admit I’ve never been into a restroom in one. So who brings the public TP, or does Co$ charge for it by the square?
Shareen Goodroad says
We have volunteers here (in communities across U.S.) that go to manmade and natural disasters, and provide FREE food, water, shelter, triage, and basic first aid to all. Known as Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and trained by local fire districts under a Homeland Security program – not affiliated with any religious group. All CERT members are finger-printed & background checked, and go through regular drills and re-certifications on their own time/dime. No caring, feeling human being I know would ever think to profit from such a disaster or tragedy. How CoS’ “ministers” and TWTH people can get away with this stuff in the presence of first responders, media and the public-at-large is beyond me.
Gus Cox says
They probably stay so far away from the real “action” that none of the bona fide teams ever notice them. Ride up to the outskirts, have photo op, go home, ask for money. That’s Scientology.
Shareen Goodroad says
You’re correct sir. CERT members are trained to listen to the professional emergency personnel on-site and help as directed – not to hinder rescue & recovery efforts. Also volunteers (even trained & vetted volunteers) cannot and should not be placed in harm’s way. Communities that have a CERT program, only deploy them to assist the professionals (law enforcement, fire fighters, EMTs, paramedics, hazmat, etc.) in the event of a major disaster or catastrophe when local resources would be strained to capacity, and then only in a supportive role.
The CERT members I have met come from all different walks of life and are only associated by a common desire to help their communities and fellow (wo)man during an emergency. They aren’t authorized to talk to the media. The only time they pass out literature of any kind (for free), is when they are volunteering at a first aid station/info booth at various public events, and those pamphlets are from the local fire district explaining what CERT is and how to become involved if interested.

I fell for this particular cult con a number of times over the years. The money I threw away was neglible, maybe altogether over 2 decades close to a thousand dollars, but you know what? This con pisses me off almost as much as the Ideal Org con, which is a lot. It gets under my skin because I LIKE the WTH booklet , believe it is essentially common sensical and helpful and as such believe it has its uses (with well fed, relatively untroubled individuals and groups). But its uses do not include calming the scene after a violent tragedy. What a con. For shame. “Help = Betrayal”, thy name is the Church of Scientology.
Barbet says
Aquamarine, Please excuse me – never in – but you “donated” about $1,000 in over 20years as a Scientologist? Wow….I was under the impression that hundreds of thousands have been “donated” by each member in timeframes as short as 10yrs…you were fortunate!
Aquamarine says
Barbet, I said that a little bit wrong: The cult has many projects requiring donations, aside for services they sell. I was in the cult for nearly 3 decades. Over that time period I donated for Way To Happiness Booklets (just one of their many things) approximately a thousand. I donated much more to a number of other cult projects besides.
Chee Chalker says
Barbet, I believe Aqua was referring to the WTH con…..meaning s/he donated $1000 toward distributing WTH booklets
That’s how I read into it
BKmole says
How about throwing away a quarter million? That was not fun.
Aquamarine says
Thanks, that’s correct, Chee, said She 🙂

I’m hiding my identity to an EXTENT. Don’t get me wrong, I like men, have loved several of them and they’re mostly terrific to have around. I just don’t want to be one. And it might happen, next time around. If its true that we live life after life. This bothers me sometimes. Just the thought of shaving my FACE, never wearing pink, always having to carry things… Ok, off topic and I’m getting depressed.
Gus Cox says
Hell, I’m a man and I wear pink sometimes lol. But shaving my face is a hassle, I’ll admit. I suppose it’s a tradeoff for not having to shave my armpits.
The main problem I have with being a man is I can’t get away with wearing pearls. I love pearls. Love love love them – their ever-so-slightly-imperfect shape, their radiant warmth, their exquisite iridescence… I suppose I could wear them as cufflinks, but that’s much too rough on them.
So, if you’re getting depressed, I recommend going out right now and buying a wee string of pearls. Go into hock to do it if you have to – it’ll cost you less than a trip to Flag for a 6-month check!
Aquamarine says
Gus, I really love pearls too! They’re my favorite precious stone. I’m not a diamond person. And my favorite semi precious is – I’ll let you guess. And, pink – yes, I”ve seen men wear pink shirts sometimes. But then there’s make up and dresses and heels…look, its like this: if I’m to be a man next lifetime I’ll have to be gay, a cross dresser, and with money enough to afford a sex change 🙂
Valerie says
Gus: imagine being a girl and going out in public in shorts without shaving your legs. Armpits??? Meh. If that’s all I had to shav I’d be fine.

Have to agree with you on all those counts Aqua.
If I was a man I would definitely have a beard, even though I do not like facial hair on men.
Good thing about legs is you can get away with a few days of not shaving!
Aquamarine says
Got it, Chee. Try waxing. Lasts for weeks. You don’t have to spend money in a salon. You can use a home remedy taken from India (sugar and water paste, google it). A little tricky, messy and painful certainly, but very effective!
org-rat 1003 says
How are you able to ‘like’ a booklet that should have been titled the way to patronise and condescend a reader to a nauseating extent? There are five year olds who would feel embarrassed to put such obvious concepts into words, never mind the blatant falsehoods. If you want to know what L R H thought of the human race just read TWTH: you are a controllable joke to him.
Aquamarine says
I understand that what’s in this booklet is patronizing and condescending to YOU, org-rat, because its common sense and the 10 commandments kind of re-worked, and I’m guessing you were brought up and pretty much steeped in these principles. I would only suggest that on this diverse planet and even in the USA exist individuals and groups who have not been brought up this way and might find this info enlightening, helpful and even life changing IF (and only if) they would be able to read in the first place and in the second place if they were in the mental, emotional and physical condition to even want to read. That’s all I’m saying.
Aquamarine says
That said, I just re-read your comment and I’m curious to know to which “blatant falsehoods”
you’re referring in the WTH. Frankly, never mind who wrote it, I can’t see anyone going wrong who would follow its precepts. Perhaps this is your way of stating that LRH himself did not follow them? If so, I agree with you. On the other hand, regardless of who wrote them and didn’t himself follow them, they’re still, in my opinion, a decidedly sane, honest and sensible way to operate in life, or try to.
org-rat 1003 says
‘Criminals live unbelievably miserable lives’: this isn’t even a real thought. You shouldn’t teach children that morality is just subjective sentimentality and posturing.
org-rat 1003 says
Admittedly, I couldnt endure it beyond about three pages so I can’t answer your question properly. But you shouldn’t go up to children and say things that amount to ‘hey, be nice cause it’s nice to be nice and it’s not nice to be not nice’ because they lose faith that the adult world has anything superior to offer them.
Aquamarine says
org-rat, I agree with you, that would be a useless waste of time.
org-rat 1003 says
Just one more thing cause I have gone on a bit, I think if you gave a kid TWTH who had not been raised in a relatively loving and ethical way it would have the complete reverse effect of inspiring him or her to behave in an ethical or loving way. — I don’t mean this in an insulting way (I was born into scientology and saint hill was my local org), but when the effects of the auditing you’ve had have fully worn off you will read TWTH and throw up.

One common theme about the “church’s” aid initiatives: It’s always someone else’s money they’re spending. Whether it’s Way to Sappiness–actually a moneymaker for the cult in times of disaster–or distributing goods that OTHERS have donated that CoS will turn into a photo opp. Or, of course, VMs who travel to a disaster site at their own expense.
On many occasions, I have seen small churches of severely limited means sacrificially rushing to the aid of others. And THIS is how a billion $$$ “church” conglomerate acts?
Particularly one that claims that they need to receive extremely jacked up “fixed donations” for the following reasons:
“In the Church of Scientology, parishioners make fixed donations for auditing and training services. These donations support the Church of Scientology and fund all the religious and social betterment activities in which the Church is engaged. Scientology is a young religion without the centuries of accumulated wealth other traditional religions have to draw upon. Therefore, Scientology must look to its members for its continued viability.”
(Quoted from one of the “church’s white papers)

One of the interesting things about coming out the bubble world is remembering the cognitive dissonance that no action was taken on. I remember a friend of mine bought 3000 way to happiness booklets and sent them out to their entire Central File. And he was gushing about all this person and that person had called him and thanked him and how he felt this was so epic. And I think to myself , he was a businessman he had people he spent money with and they probably responded politely, but of course how did I read that ? Not as politeness, I read that as actual changes in people’s lives. And all it was was just Kool-Aid drinking, rah rah thinking, blindly obedient to what I was supposed to be thinking, BS.
Thanks for picking up yet another rocks for me to look under. My eyes are more open.

Aquamarine says
OSD, humor me for a minute Try to forget who wrote Way To Happiness. Pretend you don’t know who wrote it. Pretend you’re reading it for the first time and have no clue who the author is.
Now, what does it advise to do or not do that offends you?
You’re a grandfather now, right? What precept would you NOT want Little Surfer Dude to try to follow as best as he could?
For example, would you want him to be promiscuous? Take drugs? Lie, steal, murder? Should he NOT seek to live with the truth? Should he be not concerned at all about harming another person of good will? How is any of this bad?
No kidding, I can’t see how what it says is bad, other than its being utilized as a con to get money out of people who believe they are helping trauma victims by paying to have it distributed.
And WTH is largely un necessary for many middle class, western world adults, my self included, who were taught these things in early childhood, but then, we did have to be TAUGHT these things. We were punished if we lied, if we stole…you get the idea. We were babies once, little children once, and we were TAUGHT. None of us were BORN knowing this stuff!
My ONLY point here is that I’m making a distinction between the writING and the writER.
That LRH himself did not follow his own advice and was hypocritical about preaching this to others when he himself did not follow is certainly reprehensible and even disgusting, but at the same time it still doesn’t make the advice not sensible advice for people who were NOT from infancy taught this stuff, who can read and who are in the physical, mental and emotional condition to be receptive to what it says.
Children from the Third World could benefit, I would think, once they’ve been fed and clothed and cured of any sicknesses and taught to read.
Certainy WTH is no substitute for food, clothing, shelter, medicine, clean water…that its trumpeted by COS as being effective ON ITS OWN is certainly a travesty and a huge scam.
Ok, I think you get my point.

Aqua, what a powerful post! I couldn’t have said it better. Our son turned out to be a very fine young man. And our grandson will take his lead from him, his wife, Karen & I. Little Dylan has one awesome life coming up.
Aquamarine says
I’m so glad to hear that, OSD!
Spike says
Nice summary, Aqua. ?

So I’m going to write a book of times tables. 3 x 3 = 9, 3 x 4 = 12 and so on. I’m going to title this book Universal Truths. This book is undeniably true. This book doesn’t need to be taught to most westerners, but I dare say there is some child somewhere who hasn’t gone to school and doesn’t know their times tables. And it costs me 20 cents to print up this book, but I ask for donations in the amount of 85 cents per book. And I will go to all the funerals in my area and will distribute 1000 booklets at every funeral– whether the grieving family wants to read them or not. At 4 funerals a day, I net almost a million dollars a year.

Katy Lied,
Thanks for your EXACT analysis of the mind-fuckery of people being sucked into the horse sh** of the ridiculous mind of L. Ron Hubbard and his invented scientology nonsense.
I love it.
And to think confused and betrayed good people actually give their hearts and souls into this gross mess of a contrived organization.
I hate it.

Makes me sick, aggravated Robbery.

I would love to ask the “police forces” if they had seen any Scientologists ministering to them.
Roger Y says
Love to see the church that opened their doors as a place of refuge to those kicked out of their hotels.
Old Surfer Dude says
This is something that would be illegal in the cult.

Homeless shelters, community soup kitchens for senior citizens who subsist entirely on social security and whose checks don’t stretch quite far enough to cover groceries for the entire month, safe homes for troubled runaway teenaged girls who’ve been lured into prostitution and trapped in this profession because of economic necessity and fear of returning home, if they even have a home – these just off the top of my head. Or how about community schools to retrain people for decent jobs, people who’ve been put out of work because of mechanization and globalization or other policies, or, more affordable day care centers…These empty useless Scientology orgs could be put to so much good use it isn’t even funny.
Aquamarine says
Or! A 21st century reinvention of the concept of “Boys Town”. Remember that film, with Spencer Tracy and Mickey Rooney?
WhatAreYourCrimes says
Aquamarine, you have been reading my mind.
Scientology is a net drag on society, and all those lovely buildings could be put to use.
Instead, they stand empty and unused, with an asshole in Hemet or Florida, or wherever the hell he is, having his b***s licked by his assistant and Tom Cruise, while his wife wastes away in a hole.
The world is sick of this shit.

Brit cops are far too aware of scammers. And scio is more scorned in the UK than most countries.

Aquamarine says
Plus they’re a really gruesome shade of yellow.
