Here is an entire page from the latest International Scientology News reporting on the wonders of the “25th Anniversary” MV Cruise for the math challenged.
Dear Leader seems to have outdone himself with his presentation of big lies and small stats to “support it” — yet the “small stats” are REALLY small, but just hyped as being “big.” It is really quite bizarre how they can break down stats into “completions per hour” and make the most pathetic appear to sound big and “booming.” And it seems nobody EVER does the math to see what is really being said.
Everyone else is obviously out of step with Dear Leader making announcements about 5X expansion since GAG II. By his calculation (is there any other?) it is actually 47X.
Now that is an interesting figure and is his BIG LIE, apparently pursuant to the statement attributed to Hitler: “Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it and eventually they will believe it.” Every time you turn around there is another person making statements about the massive international expansion “since GAT II.”
Miscavige’s number is by far the biggest I have seen. But what does his big lie represent? Obviously it is not 47X the number of orgs. There have been two new orgs in the last 20 years and 4 or 5 closed down or “consolidated” and certainly NONE since November last year.
Or Missions — there aren’t any new missions appearing anywhere in the last year either, though it appears some have finally given up and closed their doors.
And it’s not 47X the number of people who identify themselves as scientologists.
It’s not even his favorite — 47X square footage of church owned property. But he does include THIS impressive stat that occupies a full third of a page:
A million square feet “space planned”? Oh come on. And if the “space planned” had been made any smaller it would have disappeared entirely. I wonder how long it will be before he starts talking about “x million square feet of ideal orgs approved to purchase” (Orlando and Santa Barbara would have counted)?
But back to the 47X — it’s definitely NOT completions on services as you will see below.
It must be 47X completions on the Running Program by public since it was released, assuming there were 2 or 3 completed before the release. Or 47X completions of Super Power by public since its release.
Or perhaps it is 47X the number of exclamation points used?
Or 47X the number of ridiculous modifiers employed to try to convince people there is expansion happening?
Or maybe it is 47X the number of full page photoshopped images of Dear Leader appearing in church promotion and magazines?
There is just nothing anywhere that reflects 47X global expansion. But he just comes right out and asserts it. That nose of his must be the only thing experiencing straight up and vertical expansion in scientology.
Now for the other stats, which I have taken at face value (likely untrue, but it doesn’t matter):
One academy level every 5 hours equates to 20 per week (believe me, when Marc Yager does these silly breakdowns, “every x hours” means every 12 hours because orgs are only open 12 hours a day — even if they counted it as a 24 hour day, it would only double the amount and not really even change the order of magnitude).
20 per week is 1040 per year. There are 150 orgs worldwide. That is an average of 7 levels completions per year per org. Or ONE CLASS V AUDITOR PER YEAR PER ORG.
Bring on the dancing girls and set off the fireworks!
Student Hat Completions are “highest in history” — astonishing feat. Do you know if you ordered everyone in scientology, no matter where they are on the Bridge to do the “new” Success Through Communications Course and made it a prerequisite to ANY further auditing and training, you would have HIGHEST EVER STCC COMPLETIONS!!!
They are getting one Purif Completion an hour — that is 30 per YEAR PER ORG or a lot LESS THAN ONE A WEEK PER ORG.
But they are only getting 10 Objectives Completions per org per year. That is a loss of two thirds of the public from Purif not going on to complete Objectives.
Even the most “impressive” sounding stat, one release or clear every eight minutes breaks down to 220 “releases or clears” per year per org. That is 4 “RELEASES” A WEEK PER ORG. And the percentage of clears in that number is less than 1% of 1%. And you know those releases include people completing AN OBJECTIVE process.
These statistics are HORRENDOUS and prove exactly opposite of what is being asserted.
Apparently nobody notices.
Good thing they send out their videos and magazines to the bitter defrocked apostates on the fringes of the internet as it seems we are the only people who can use a calculator.
Just for fun, here is some of the woodchip word salad he fed the clubbed seals in his “opening address” — it is really getting stranger and stranger. This MV (which he could not be bothered to conduct at all last year, the real 25th anniversary of the maiden voyage) he explains “…you are in for as memorable a crossing as any in nautical history — or for that matter, Whole Track history, because from here on out, there is nothing except the infinity of adventure and a voice from the shell of time — the one you might have heard up the gangway, repeating that phrase again and again: ‘Welcome to our Whole New World.'”
Self-importance, pompousness and an ability to lie without embarrassment are apparently three of the primary qualifications for holding the position of “ecclesiastical leader of the scientology religion.”

The 47X growth lie is just DM trying to capture that “rolling thunder” applause.

He says it. The seals clap and he gets the pleasure moment revitalized! (Pleasure moment is the IRS announcement.) But, at this MV poorly attended event, his is close associates no doubt put some amplifiers near him so he could hear the rolling thunder from 47X expansion… ha thunder? more like a fart)
DM said “‘Welcome to our Whole New World.’” He was really saying: “Welcome to DM’s Whole New Delusional World!” Are there any Scientologists left in that dimwits world??? A rhetorical question.

Mike – such a great question on your part – 47X expansion of what?
Even when I a fairly true believer, if someone came up to me 8-10 months after a release and said 47X GLOBAL EXPANSION in the last 8 months – I would definitely ask expansion of what?
But their advertising is so pernicious, they have the big headline, then go on which some relative specifics, academy level every 5 hours, blah, blah, blah. These stats are supposed to back up the 47X thing.
If you don’t think about it, you can walk away buying it. But I ALWAYS thought about it, even when on OT 7, OT 8 or staff. I just chose to ignore it, or just filed it. Because I decided many years ago that the church was full of exaggeration. Everything had to be exaggerated.
I just chose to take the bad with the good. But the more I found out about the church the more the bad out-weighed the good. Sure, I believe that most people getting the super power rundowns really enjoy them. But the question really is – at what cost?
Besides the monetary cost of the service, there is the IAS, the ideal orbs, TWTH, Libraries and you have to be willing to be controlled to within an inch of your life.

Much in the same way Scientologists needs its own dictionary, what with words having a different meaning in Scientology than it does in the ‘wog’ world, Scientology needs its own calculator.
The Scientology calculator does not have a ‘-‘ or ‘/’ button. Those do not apply. The calculator would have extra large ‘+’, ‘x’, and ‘exp’ buttons, each labelled with multiple exclamation points. There would be no ‘X’ and ‘Y’ buttons for algebraic functions. Instead there would be a ‘CI’ button for Command Intention because Scientology expands simply because CI said so. And whereas in normal calculators you get an ‘E’ error if the number gets too big, this would be non-existent in the Scientology calculator, because no number is too big. The calculator is solar powered to accomadate the fact that Sea Org can’t afford batteries.
McCarran says

I remember being introduced to the concept of acceptable truth in 1974, when I first got into Scn. The idea was to not talk sci fi to new people because it would be out reality. That was understandable. The problem is that lying has become regular and endemic in the Scn culture. The way you stay out reality/not real, is to lie constantly. Scn. would be so much further ahead if they just stopped lying completely and said, yeah, our religion is a little weird but here it is. The bizarre, untrue explanations of just about everything I’ve heard over the years, are just stupid, unnecessary lying. Liars have to keep track of their lies and life gets very, very complicated and hard to remember. From a PR standpoint, someone engaged in this would just look weirder and weirder. Guess what? Scn is now the weirdest looking group in the history of man because everyone speaking for the church is lying like a rug. There is no disconnection, the holy scriptures say so, dm is/isn’t in charge, we don’t interfere in anyone’s marriage, the children in the SO are very well cared for, staff get their bridges for freeeeeeeee! Et al. Now the lying is completely off the chain, ridiculous and criminal, to hide the fact of the previous 40,000 lies. What a clusterfuck. What is 47Xs more bizarre is that the axioms of Scn and auditing basics, center around discovering and validating truth. The current corporate church could not be in a greater state of crimimal, psychotic, treason. Here’s a novel idea, stop lying and just tell the truth.
Swampland4Sale says
Great post Hallie. But LRH embedded lies in much of the basic tech. E.g. ARCx’s stem from O/W’s. People blow only because of them, et al. Total lies. I guess the ARCX my mom’s best friend had with the German’s (she was in a concentration camp at age 12) was because of her O/W’s… Other than what LRH plagiarized from others but himself made up is total rubbish. When one looks over “the tech” AFTER taking formal courses in logic, it is pretty sad and funny, at the same time.
Old Surfer Dude says
Excellent post, SLS! Great example!

+1
Hallie Jane says
Thanks Swanpland4Sale but I disagree with you completely. Your interpretation of the tech is simplistic and frankly, wrong. Your concentration camp example was ridiculous. I don’t know your background but the huge, varied tapestry that is a unique, spiritual being’s world, cannot be reduced to “it’s all your fault.” I don’t know your background, never in, abused in the SO or what, but I would ask, do you think karma is real? Do you think you have lived before? An individual who believes these things, would have a broader view of possible confluences. Regarding someone blowing, this is a person who was so upset, that they just took off to get relief. As an auditor I would take an interest in EVERYTHING that person had to say, and clean up whatever was there, not evaluate or have a fixed idea about it. As a 40 year tech person, one harmful and dangerous out tech in the corporate church, is the abuse and over emphasis on O/Ws (sins). Of course we should take responsibility for our misdeeds, but we are not bags of sins walking around, we are in an array of many complex influences over time, including, what we have done. It’s challenging to untangle. The truth is what sets us free and when you have these overriding, set items in place, it just makes it more difficult, to get to the actual truth. People need help, not wrong indications and evaluation. I certainly understand if you have no interest in Scn or in continuing. It’s your life and your choice and I wish you well.
Foolproof says
Swamplandforsale – this remark of yours that the tech contained embedded lies is a generality – which ironically however is the cause of ARCXs if you were to read the HCOBs on ARCXs. You have mentioned 1 thing which is based on a hearsay report from Bill Franks who according to him had a conversation with LRH and who (Franks) is in my opinion quite disaffected of the whole thing (which is somewhat understandable, granted). But if you read HCOB Blow Offs you will see that LRH mentions that if you treat a person badly he has no choice but to leave, so your statement about the concentration camp is not quite true, as this scenario is already covered in tech – in an HCOB. And the datum in the Blow Offs HCOB immediately invalidates your and Bill Franks’ premise. You do not need to twist out of context one part of the tech to try and prove some point you feel you have about what you think is the “tech”. In fact I have made the same point on here about treating people so badly they have no choice but to leave, and cited exactly the same situation as you did with the concentration camp but I did not embellish it with a generality that “much of the tech has embedded lies”. I referred to that HCOB on Blow Offs, which LRH wrote.
So what are these other “embedded lies” specifically? I suggest you be more specific in your comments.
Swampland4Sale says
Thanks Old Surfer. True stories work well. Part I didn’t go into. This lady (Trudy) committed suicide (I guess she couldn’t live with her OW’s) about the time I was in the SO and getting wise to the scam. I had a friend with was a Class 9 and was in the SO since ’67. (most people on this board would know his name) I asked this person about the example I gave and what would the C/S be to handle the ARCX ? That LRH trained auditor said to me, “Well, LRH said what the source of ARC breaks is. I’d C/S as per LRH Tech to handle those O/W’s.”
I guess it was that overt of omission that she committed when she didn’t stop the camp guards when they pitched her 5 year old brother into a pack dogs to watch him get torn apart and eaten. If that had only been been pulled, she wouldn’t have been ARCX with Germans anymore..
So, if ANYONE here is wondering where the origin of the insanity in the current “church” comes from. Wonder no more…
Swampland4Sale says
Foolproof. I never mentioned ANYTHING about Franks. Nor, did I mention anything that Franks said. You are confused. I have NO idea what you are going on about. Please cite where I said anything about Franks or what he said (no idea what you are talking about.
Hallie, the HCOBs state what they state. I am a trained auditor and EO (before DM) If you don’t think LRH wrote that about the source of ARCx’s. Go right on thinking that. I don’t really care. THAT is how LRH trained auditors. If you disagree with him, GREAT!
Foolproof says
The Franks thing is based on a report by him that LRH apparently said (to him and perhaps Mayo who was there at the time but wthout re-finding it again I can’t be sure of that)) – that people blow because of ARCXs – not O/Ws. Actually the HCOBs cite MWHs, not O/Ws, a slight difference. This is what I thought you meant.
As to the so-called Class 9 he is talking out of his arse by stating that you would go for the O/Ws. You cannot audit over an ARCX so to do anything else is nonsense. Again this is a mis-application of Hubbard’s tehchology. The ARCX would have to be handled. However if the PC is an ARCXey type then eventually you have to get the MWHs that he or she is suffering from otherwise the PC goes on being ARCXey. And when you do the whining and whinging is no longer there. Miscavige’s “trained” auditors now have that mode of operating in auditing PCs, that is somewhat true and that is a false emphasis – it is trying to make the PC wrong. But before that change in attitude came I have seen whining “look what you’ve done to me” i.e. ARCXey PC types suddenly change for the better and stop whining which firstly clears up the ARCX and then they are given a program which asks them for their MWHs. It’s just a fact and empirically observed by me and thousands of others. LRH is not recommending such a course of action to satisfy his own ego but to help the PC. All the PCs I know who have experienced this handling were very grateful that someone asked them for their MWHs at last! A a C/S you don’t embark on a full range of confessionals or O/W pulling program if the PC has 1 ARCX – that is obvious mis-programming. If the PC is an ARCXey type then that is a different matter and he/she eventually needs his MWHS pulled. It’s all in the HCOBs including the C/S Series. Do you know of any LRH reference which states that if the PC has 1 ARCX then you would program him for extensive or in fact any O/W pulling? I don’t. Such is not LRH Tech. I think you should read HCOB “ARCXs and MWHs” again and align it with other HCOBs.
And you are also assuming the PC’s ARCX exists in this case (the concentration camp), in other words you are using your reaction to assume that she is ARCXen. She may or may not be (she probably is or was at the time but nevertheless it is still, an assumption). My father fought the Germans, killed some of them, lost his brother my uncle to them and many friends, but was not ARCXen about them, in fact rather the opposite, so it depends on the case.
But anyway, we are still discussing just one (1) assumed (by you) outpoint in the tech and I asked you to clarify what the other “embedded lies” are? And should we all stop using the tech then because you think that 1 part of it is incorrect, which it is not, as above. If you could list say 20 gross examples of how “the tech doesn’t work” then I might listen but I am still waiting for the other “embedded lies”.
Mike Rinder says
This is the sort of “technical discussion” that goes round in circles. I don’t know what you are referring to, and this is not an invitation to come back with more references to prove this wrong which will be responded to with more references contrary to the previous one.
The USUAL reference concerning blows, and the one most known and commonly cited is HCOB 31 December 1959 Blow Offs.
It states:
People leave because of their own overts and withholds. That is the factual fact and the hardbound rule. A man with a clean heart can’t be hurt. The man or woman who must must must become a victim and depart is departing because of his or her own overts and withholds. It doesn’t matter whether the person is departing from a town or a job or a session. The cause is the same.
There is no mention of Missed Withholds.
The bottom line is this — the well-known datum is that blows come from OWs. It is a “hardbound rule” (and I do know what else is said about conditions being so bad). You can argue there are “other references” — but this one is the “hardbound rule” and the arguments about “other statements” that modify things in scientology is literally endless as there are statements somewhere that virtually support ANYTHING.
In fact, to your example above, I could cite a reference that says “All ARC Breaks stem from O/W’s.”
Potpie says
Thanks for your references Mike. You are correct in that
there so many issues that talk about ARCX’s, O/W’s, MWH’.s
etc. it is hard to really carry on such a discussion.
I would sight two easy ways to sort it out (in my opinion).
First the C/S 53 is in sequence of outnesses on a case and
those items that read should be handled first in that
sequence. On a 53 ARCX questions come before Overt/WH’s
in handling sequence. Also the other items in this sequence that
come before ruds is out Int and of course out Lists. LRH has
said many times that an out list, wrong why, wrong items etc.
cause a large amount of upset on a case….ARCX’s. Handling on
the L4BRA (or whatever it is called now) does include ARCX,
Overt and W/H handling. Many areas of the tech handle out
ruds but the sequence on any correction list is out int, out lists,
then out ruds with ARCX first in that sequence.
Then of course if one has a very upset or ARCX’y PC a L1C
is quite useful.
There is really no need to go over questions of ARCX’s,
W/H’s and Overts as a tech terminal….just do a C/S 53,
Green Form or Green Form 40. Or the L1C if ruds won’t
fly. These correction lists can sort out these questions
posed from my point of view and use. To me it is a pretty
simple affair.
Mike Rinder says
Sorry — this is exactly what I mean. Any discussion of tech quickly devolves into a “quotes and references fest” of “this is what this all really means and THIS is the reference that sorts it all out.” I wasn’t trying to discuss where ARC Breaks are handled before OWs or MWHs. I was simply correcting an incorrect statement that proclaimed “LRH said” blows come from MWH’s not O/Ws. Which then had added into it some sort of explanation about ARC Breaks. I was trying to make a point about this, not get into a back and forth about what “reference applies.” This is a terrible forum for such discussions as it invites endless back and forth about what is right “according to the tech.”
Foolproof says
Ok, I am fed up with it all now as well! The thread has been derailed, partly through my fault for getting into too much detail, but the main point I was making is that Swamplandforsale uttered that the tech contains “embedded lies” and I simply asked him what are these so-called “embedded lies”. But I am still waiting to hear about these “embedded lies” and I doubt that they will be forthcoming – as of course – they don’t exist, or, if they do, then let’s hear about them and see what’s what. That was my main point.
This story (for me) is similar to a guy I know who went around saying that LRH HCOBs were contradictory and when I asked him which HCOBs exactly were “contradictory” then I was answered with silence and (brief) petulance that someone had dared ask him such a question, as of course the “contradictions” don’t exist either and his little party piece bubble was pricked. In both cases I am simply asking for specifics.
Mike Rinder says
Fair enough. I appreciate your politeness and willingness to communicate. Unfortunately, you will not likely find much satisfaction in trying to debate the merit of scientology tech any more than you would debating the merits of any other religion. There are skeptics and true believers on the far sides of every one of those debates, and neither manages to convince the other of the value of their view.
Foolproof says
Ok Mike. We’ll leave it there. By the way, I didn’t think I was being that polite! I thought I was being quite ornery and cantankerous! Then – maybe I am not as “fundamentalist” as I believe as I am – ha! Thanks for your politeness, and patience. And the work that you do here.
Potpie says
Sorry Mike and Foolproof I see I only added unneeded data to
the actual topic.

Hold on Halllie Jane. These are all acceptable because Scientology is the fastest growing religion on the planet, helping to salvage tens of millions of people. David Miscavige doesn’t beat people up because if he did, then the church would not be expanding as it is.
Now get in there, recant, do your A-E and then find out for yourself how you, too, can go free. Again.

Hallie Jane –
Nice post and as-is-ness. I’d just add that a gradient is necessary. That’s why there is a gradient in auditing. People read “OT abilities” and conceptualize it, perhaps, to some extent, but do not see the connections between “here” and “there.” The “why” of lying is the thing to look at, I think it’s misunderstanding the purpose of the communication. The context of Scn is so large, so many pieces to correlate, that the understanding is hard to come by. I’m still struggling to come up with the exact as-is-ness, but I thought I’d go ahead and post the tl;dr anyway. I hope it isn’t foolish in retrospect. It has to do with the difference and distinction between the truth, one’s own universe and perception of the truth, and the universe of agreements with others, or “reality.”
Scns have gotten to the point of lying about almost anything, almost obsessively. Just as you say, you tell one lie, then have to keep track, and the lies accumulate. The whole idea that the basis of ARCx’s is O/W is illustrative of the “why” all these lies. The idea is that a being theoretically – theoretically – clean of all O/W would be unperturbed by ARCx’s. Theory is not hypothesis, and theory is the logical extension which can eventually be realized in practice – something like all the theory of nuclear fission. At the same time, the theory cannot be assumed to have been realized, until it actually is realized. Example: A) Joe is in line at a bus stop. Some guy bumps against him accidentally, Joe, who has all kinds of bad stuff on his track, turns and makes a big issue out of it. B) Bill in exactly the same situation tosses it off with nothing further. There’s the theory demonstrated, but one handles on a gradient, and gets off what the PC has. If he says it’s ARCx and it reads, then you handle the ARCx. That ALSO is theory in practice.
On a much bigger scale, a being with no O/Ws to hang up on, can experience anything. That theoretical state is correct, and Catholicism, Buddhism, and probably a few other religions uphold it. But the theoretical “totally clean” is just so far ahead of things that it is very easily misinterpreted, and some people come think it is always wrong to stop anything (which is not true). (And some people come to think it is OK to lie about anything, which is also not true.) Then there are others who can literally self-immolate and experience it. And there, in that and similar acts of tolerating, is the difference between a learned discipline, and an erasure so good that simply nothing really is capable of upsetting one – resistance and protest (the acts in O/W) are gone, and what is done to one becomes a matter of curiosity. You can haul off and hit some guys, and they’ll just stand there looking at you, wondering if you mean you want to fight. I guess one could joke that it is the difference between a crafty defense lawyer who knows his beans, and a good man who does not need to know the law other than to get things done in agreements.
It becomes a matter of purposes. The theoretical – theoretical – of Scientology is just so far ahead that it is easily misinterpreted. Misinterpretation of truth is nothing new to mankind. The purpose of disconnection became warped, the purpose of the SO became warped. Some [almost any] wild notions individuals make up to represent Scientology are assumed to be the thing itself, and are then used to justify. It becomes, and has become, absurd. We lie to children about Easter Bunnies and Santa Claus, BECAUSE … (and we have a good “because” there). But when it comes to Scientology, the “because” gets lost because the theory is so far ahead of our individual experiences. In session, one can honestly run a PC on a horrible overt without evaluating BECAUSE one knows what one is doing. The past is very literally the past – no one can change anything. The overt is a past. The present purpose is not to “enact justice” but it is to run the overt out, clean it, relieve the charge, get the PC back on his or her feet. It is a process handed down from above, and it works, and auditors can see it. That theoretical, become practical, is then misunderstood as a justifier, that anything is acceptable in order to bring that practical about. But all the rest of the theory in between is lost, the gradient is gone, and when that theory goes out the window, so does the practical. The practical is to tell the truth, and the practical is that people can eventually tell when they’re being lied to. More importantly, people are capable of correctly assuming that if the liar is unable to connect the dots about telling the truth, and instead commits overts by lying, then they probably do the same in other areas – and the practical is that people assume responsibility for themselves and others, and walk away.
The ‘why’ of lying is not understanding the purpose of the communication, and in the case of Scientology, the theoretical purpose is out of reach to most – in my observation. People want to shoot for the most basic fundamentals, and skip the gradient. But without the gradient, the guy can’t see the theory. When the theory cannot be seen, the practical cannot be implemented without following instructions. The same need for instructions or orders is true in any large organization with a sophisticated product. If ALL Scns saw the purpose and the theory, then the practical would become visible, and the lies would stop.
There’s much more to all this, but the essence is that the connection between the theoretical and the practical is a gradient. One MUST put the theoretical there, must make it known, but few Scns I have met and talked to understand what they’re dealing with, in theory. They think they do. I’m not invalidating, but trying to somehow inspire a bit more understanding – recognition that it is not stupid to realize what one does not know. You are correct in your understanding of the gradient and auditing.

Any SO Exec worth his or her salt knows that when stats are circling the toilet, you flush with new, imaginative substats and spray them with new, aromatic graph scales. Many a butt has been saved from early elimination by these two well known secret tools of camouflage.
What the above tells me is just how creative someone has had to be to come up with something, anything for deflect tech this year. Astonishing, really how truly non existent the stats must be based on this effort. Good eye about the Purif to Objectives oops stat, but it’s a bit disconcerting. As long as it’s an exit puddle they’re leaving behind in the saunas, it’s a good sign of evaporation, especially GI and BIS. So I’m going with “47X puddles” as my guess for category.
petlover1948 says
all great!
Science Doc says
He was going to go with 42 until someone who had read science fiction other than Battlefield Earth explained the answer to the ultimate question and the question to the ultimate answer, prior to slogging off to the hole.
shelgold says
Too bad they don’t say how many of them are redo’s. I’m guessing 99%+.
Old Surfer Dude says
Oh, Sheldon! You poor deluded soul! You’re WAY off! It’s 100%
Delilah says
+1
Hallie Jane says
Could we get dancing boys and fireworks? The Chippendales perhaps?
NOLAGirl says
47x the lawsuits
Steph says
I am wondering if the number 47 was surveyed as the most likeable number to inject into DM’s speech. I think the likelihood is 47X greater than not.
Swampland4Sale says
It would have been much funnier (to us now out) if he had chosen the number … 42 🙂
Steph says
Yes, that is correct ! 😉 Nice.
Old Surfer Dude says
Maybe they had a huge dart board with all kinds of numbers on it and he would throw darts at it. The number with the most darts in it become the winning number.
Swampland4Sale says
Oh, oh, oh The next big thing will probably be, The Age of Ideal Stats !!!!!!!!!!!!
Ed Kette says
Dave, please rush up to the Proctologist. 47X expansion in “your” celestial entrails is going to be a real FART!
Swampland4Sale says
“Self-importance, pompousness and an ability to lie without embarrassment are apparently three of the primary qualifications for holding the position of “ecclesiastical leader of the scientology religion.”
Absolutely. DM learned that working under * in Cine back in the day. The HIGHLY brain damaged, clubbed seals are now totally incapable of any discernment when it comes to “the Church”. Fortunately there is almost no one left in the church’s public field. Actually, almost no one left in scientology period. Whether in or out of the “Church”.
Great work Mike. Informative AND entertaining.
whostolemycog says
Great work Mike…the quality of your blog has been straight up and vertical of late….your tone in dealing with the cult has matured into full blown affluence. Thanks for your work.
Cindy says
“Self-importance, pompousness and an ability to lie without embarrassment are apparently three of the primary qualifications for holding the position of “ecclesiastical leader of the scientology religion.” Mike I loved the breakdown of the stats. If only we could get this to the KA drinkers.
Cooper Kessel says
You will have better luck getting an ack from a rock!
McCarran says
If you got these stats (True Stats) to a Koolaid drinker, they wouldn’t care.
w. martin says
Figures never lie. Liars figure.
Cooper J Kessel says
You have all missed the point. What COB is really saying is he has added 47x the number of MAAs needed to keep the sheeple in line and swilling the appropriate quantity of Kool Aide.
Old Surfer Dude says
Didn’t he also make it 47x easier to throw sheeple into the RPF? And the RPF’s RPF?
Battlefield Teegeeack says
One million brain cells in Miscavige’s head (space planned) is more like it.
Cooper Kessel says
There are nowhere near that many cells in His head. I’d say three max. One has been declared PTS, the other an SP and the last one is in search of a larger body.
Old Surfer Dude says
Really Coop? I could have sworn he was down to 1 cell. And, from what I understand, that single cell was constantly fighting him.
Battlefield Teegeeack says
You are right, he only has one but he has “space planned” for 1 million.
Friend says
Maybe you overestimate his brain cells .. one for a living scientologist .. maybe two, so he can think about for himself .. maybe I have a MU on brain cells .. read it as drain cells ..
SILVIA says
the 47X is how large his nose has grown and, of course, this one looks 47X straight up and vertical.
Excellent posting Mike, thank you.
LDW says
“20 per week is 1040 per year. There are 150 orgs worldwide. That is an average of 7 levels completions per year per org. Or ONE CLASS V AUDITOR PER YEAR PER ORG.”
And let’s not forget to break this down even further with a very inconvenient question. Just how many of these so-called new auditors are simply failed GAT I auditors who are forced to re-do their training?
What ever happened to those 100% perfect Golden Age of Tech auditors that miscavige led from blindness to the glorious light of unprecedented technical competence?
It would also be interesting to know what the percentage of brand new auditors is compared to the number declared suppressive because they refuse to go along with miscavige’s squirrel version of a session.
Cooper Kessel says
I thought COB said there were 10,000 orgs, missions and groups worldwide. How did they get down to 150 so fast? That must be the 47x stat applied in the correct direction!
Friend says
Going up from 0 (zero) then is 47X also 0 (zero) .. but he cannot write it in his big magazin .. we are as low or lower as we ever were .. since GAT II .. he can not publish such stuff .. it would not make sense for the reader .. I read 104.894.919 books and lectures out to the public .. do not know what he counts here, but I have about 1.500 of them .. a friend of mine has 10.000 of them in a garage .. means he got the basics 20 times ..
Friend says
he got it in 10 different languages .. I got got my set in hebrew .. do not speak this language ..
Gus Cox says
Hmmm… roll call for the SHSBC takes 15 minutes because there are so many people on course. That’s at ASHO *DAY,* by the way. Oh, wait. That was 30 FUCKING YEARS AGO, Miscavige!
Today, I understand roll call takes no time, because the BC isn’t even being delivered. So therefore He Who Must Not Be Named, the Prophet of Scientology, Chairman of the Board Religious Technology Center Mr. David Miscavige can bleat on about how he reduced the amount of time it takes to call roll!
Well Done, SIR!
Old Surfer Dude says
Laughing my fucking ass off! Nice, Gus!
Roger Weller says
mat, your stats are the real stats.
Nick Lister says
They’re always touting the figure of 8 million Scientologists on the planet. If you take that multiplied by the 47x figure, it gives them 376 million Scientologists now, or more than the population of the United States……My point, honestly, is that I thought I was getting pretty good marijuana here in Jacksonville, but obviously the creative director for these church flyers gets way better shit than me.
Morris Adams says
🙂
Syd xclassvstaff says
I agree, Nick. Must be some hallucinogens being ingested. Say, wouldn’t that disqualify DM (and any other claimants) from being in the SO.
Old Surfer Dude says
Either that, Nice, or the prohibition on acid has been removed. I could never come with figures like that on medical pot!
Steph says
Nick,
You are so right. But the Jacksonville weed doesn’t turn you into a complete boneheaded creep. You are a man of honor.
Old Surfer Dude says
Steph, here at the beach we have mellow medical pot. It turns you into a profound thinker. One worthy of the ages. Contemplating why we’re here and….and…ummm…what was I saying?
Steph says
What the hell is “the shell of time” ?
I’m stumped and laughing.
Cooper J Kessel says
It is the electromagnetic field generated by His copper rods in Hemet. Things stand still inside His bubble!
Steph says
Thanks! This makes perfect sense. Truly.
Delilah says
You are so right.
I hoped it was a reference to clam shells, but no, you’re so right.
Old Surfer Dude says
Oh, c’mon Steph! What the heck is wrong with you??? It’s as simple as the nose on your face! “The shell of time” is, ummmmmm. What I mean to say is it’s, ahhhhhhhhhh. The point of the matter is, errrrrrrrr. Oh the hell with it! Steph, I have no fucking idea what “the shell of time” is. Maybe he dropped some acid and is using stream of consciousness.
Steph says
OS Dude,
LOL ! Just the thought of DM dropping acid….just great. He would have made a great drug dealer.
DollarMorgue says
He sells different addictions.
Carcha says
That’s like when you put your ear to a big seashell, and hear a hollow sound of ocean waves. It’s actually not a bad metaphor, but the context is questionable. If it were a scene like The Godfather, a flashback to times past, then, “voices from the shell of time.”
Carcha says
The thing about similes and metaphors is that they have to be clear expressions. Hemingway is so admired not for his message, but for his unmistakable clarity, “The sands are running out” has hung around so long because it poeticizes an hourglass, which was used for centuries. It’s hard to mistake the meaning there.
“Let us go then, you and I,
when the evening is spread out against the sky
like a patient etherized upon a table….” (T.S. Eliot)
A hilarious dry wit for “This portends the Church of Scientology’s 25th Maiden Voyage Event.” But the thing about the poem (“The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock”) is that the opening image has the context of the entire poem, something like a theme declaration in a symphony. the “shell of time” is strained because it lacks context and shouts, to be heard.
Steph says
Carcha, yes I see that in Godfather context. In DM context it makes me think of clams oh so long ago.
Hallie Jane says
Carcha, I think your understanding of this is 47X greater, than the person who wrote that sentence.
Carcha says
Hallie Jane – Thank you. I’m sure I’m 47X happier, not attending that event.
Draco says
That’s the clam shell from which we all emerged eleventy trillion years ago
Old Surfer Dude says
That’s it! Many thanks, Draco! This is fucking it! I must be getting old as I had forgotten about being a clam on the beach of a primordial sea dealing with the problem of wanting to breathe but afraid of a wave overwhelming me. Wait! Did I just run a process on myself? OMG! I think I did!
Draco, I’ve never met an auditor who could audit through posts like this! You’re truly amazing! So…how much do I owe you!
joan nieman says
Draco is right. It is a clam shell of which the pope speaks. Hubbard didn’t make sense and neither does Davey.
Draco says
OSD – that will be eleventy trillion $. EFT.
scnethics says
And the “per org” numbers get even worse when you consider how many of these completions were at Flag. Take the 2 month period covered by the most recent Source magazine, which shows 150 purif completions. 720 purif completions in two months globally minus 150 at Flag leaving 570, divided by 150 orgs gives 3.8 in two months, or 1.9 per month.
And it’s super-inflated because of all the OTs redoing it. Orgs ARE NOT getting two people to take their first significant step on the Bridge each month. They’re managing to get about two of their existing field to redo it. Scientology is dead dead dead.
DollarMorgue says
He put a planet on the front. And big capital letters. That’s how I know the 47x is true! And since GAT 2 no less!
Mike, if you could but recant, come to your senses and retread the Student Hat, you would understand these stats, too.

Old Surfer Dude says
Now, Gary, don’t sugarcoat it! Don’t beat around the bush! Don’t dance around the issue! Just come out and tell us how you REALLY feel! You’re among friends here…
Cooper Kessel says
I agree OSD. Gary is really being nice to Him. Lets call the c&*k sucking mother f*&ker what He really is; an over blown tweaker with an alligator mouth (full of daveshit) that continually overloads His hummingbird Ass.
I agree, that greatly understates the situation!
Old Surfer Dude says
Wow! Mike, 47X thanks for printing this article!!!!!!! After reading it I’m 47X more certain that I’m 47X more glad that I have nothing whatsoever to do with one of the most evil cults this world has seen.
The things we take for granted: Going to a movie, going out to a restaurant, going on vacation, working at a company and making a good living, having gay friends, being able to speak your mind, FULL INTERNET ACCESS, no disconnection, no ethic officers, no constant donations, no forced abortions!!!!!! For all this I am 47X for grateful!!!!!!!!
Thanks, Mike! I feel 47X better already!!!!!!!
SadStateofAffairs says
If Miscavige likes to be described as the Pope of Scientology, perhaps he should adopt the naming convention used by Catholic Popes. He could be Pope Pinocchio the First.
threefeetback says
Dave,
Not only is the Emperor wearing a thong, but with your cult’s attrition rate, you are soon to be without dupes to use as window dressing.
Zephyr says
Perfect! 🙂 Let’s have a grandiose ‘Pinocchio the First’ naming ceremony!
Greta
Old Surfer Dude says
Nice! I came up with Pope Slime Ball the First.
Aquamarine says
Pope Pottymouth.
Old Surfer Dude says
Nice, Aquamarine! Perfect, actually!
Cooper J Kessel says
Mike,
The stat measures the quantity of Daveshit emanating from the great Hole in Hemet.
” we are the only people who can use a calculator.”
As His lights go out and the calculator batteries fade, the good news is that the stats can be counted on your fingers!
” Welcome to our Whole New World.” add to that ……’down here in the bottom of our little rabbit hole.’
The shrinking stats of the Cult is really great news and the exponential number is really the rate of collapse, not expansion. We should all take a win on this one. All of us continually exposing the truth and chipping away the lies is bringing the house of Daveshit down. Thanks for all you do to keep the dream alive Mike!
Old Surfer Dude says
Coop, help me out here. I know I’m a little show on the giddy up, but, WTF is this “Whole New World?” Is he referring to Target Two? Did the old world somehow change? What’s ‘new’ about it? I just don’t get it!
Black Panther says
Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies………
Old Surfer Dude says
Ok, BP, I will: COB is the most competent, compassionate, tolerant and kind leader in the world! And I’ve met all the leaders (Yep! Just like Tom Cruise!). And, BP, we’re lucky to have him. He’s so humble that I’m sure the REAL number for expansion is about 100x. The reason they published a much lower number is COB doesn’t want the spot light on him. For COB, it’s all about how hard all the SO members work! And, COB would never, ever hurt anyone! The reports of him beating the shit about of people are only from bitter apostates. He goes out of his way to try and love everyone that comes into his life.
BP, take another look at the man channeling L.Ron Hubbard. He makes Jesus look like a serial killer. He ever goes out of his way not to step on ants! ANTS, I tell you! We’re just all so lucky to have him.
Ok, ok, I’ve got to go and take a shower now because I feel so dirty…
Black Panther says
OSD – thanks! Enjoyed that 🙂 Hope you had a good shower. I had a good giggle. 🙂
Mat Pesch says
47X the amount of BS. 47X the amount of disconnection in an effort to keep the sheep in line. 47X the amount of bad PR and press for the shrinking, criminal cult. 47X the number of Scientologists walking away from Miscavige’s suppression.
thegman77 says
Mat, though not presented in scientific or mathematical form, I do believe you’re 100% correct in all aspects.
thegman77 says
Hmmmm…there was a big smile connected to that which Word Press apparently deleted.
Old Surfer Dude says
Matt, you’re not only 100% correct, but your 47X 100% correct! And I gotta say, that’s a whole lot of correctness!!!
Chee chalker says
Well, its not as if LRH ever bothered with true and actual scientific or mathematical form. Unless you count hooking up a tomato plant to electrodes
Morris Adams says
Yes Mat. Those are the REAL stats!
thegman77 says
Mike, I don’t know what I enjoy most, the pure insanity of their stupendous claims or the simple way – with hilarious comments, too – that you destroy those claims. (Clam Claims? )
