Miscavige and his pinocchio sockpuppet letter signer, Karin Pouw, are getting closer and closer to calling Leah Remini a liar.
Their latest effort at damage control is reported in the NY Post:
“We won’t dignify the myths, radio gossip, rumors and off-the-wall tabloid tales that have their origins with self-promoting bloggers living on the fringe of the Internet.”
The carefully selected words and structure of the sentence is classic Miscavige. Though thinly veiled, this is not literally a frontal assault on Leah. It blames all the bad news on “self-promoting bloggers” peddling myths and rumors.
Here is the problem. Miscavige finds himself between a rock and a hard place. And meantime he is taking a long, warm effluent shower as the contents of his own septic tank are pouring on his head.
He tried to say nothing to begin with, “we respect the privacy of our parishioners” — but that didn’t sound too good when the stories were all about how he had “disappeared” his wife and Leah had dared ask about her, as well as disconnection. Everyone knew the issue was not the “privacy of any parishioner” but the fact that “private information” about Miscavige had escaped into public consciousness. And that the repeated references to the control mechanism of disconnection were now getting wider coverage than ever.
But, he knows if he comes out and says Leah is a liar he is going to have his perfectly coiffed and tanned head handed to him on a silver platter when she decides to be publicly interviewed. So, that option is not open. He has been outmaneuvered. The difference between this and Paul Haggis or Jason Beghe is that he KNEW what their statements were as they were in the media and he then set about Dead Agenting them. She has thanked her fans and that is all. But he knows right now she could get an interview for as long as she wants with ANYONE on National TV.
Miscavige is frantically trying to calm this shitstorm down. His method is to try to deflect attention and convince people that this is NOT really a story and nobody should really ask him about Shelly and that there really isnt any such thing as disconnection and he isnt really too close to his secretary or to Tom Cruise.
These days the media run their “written statements” (they have long since given up having anyone actually TALK to the media) virtually without comment. Because everyone who reads them knows they are the worst indictment of all.
It’s the same thing as Kirstie Alley’s infamous “I believe in religious freedom.” “Don’t believe everything you read.” You just cannot make the point better than in THEIR OWN WORDS.
I wonder why Miscavige is so obsessed with a few “self-promoting bloggers living on the fringe of the internet” that he employs a team to put together smear sites on these nobodies, hires PI’s to follow and investigate these fringe nutjobs and pays to get phone records and emails of the few nuisances who may or may not be part of the small handful of bitter, defrocked apostates. Seems like an awful lot of attention from this multi-billion dollar international, fastest growing religion on earth experiencing unprecedented growth under the brilliant leadership of David Miscavige.
Just one final note. One thing I would NOT recommend Dave, is going after Nicole Remini. You seem to think you can target her as a substitute for Leah. Good luck with that….
It sucks to be Miscavige.
UPDATE: I had no sooner put this up than I saw Sinar had posted the church’s response to ABC on Facebook.
As noted above, ABC included the entire response from the church. It is a work of twisted bubble logic. Here it is, in all its glory:
We are disheartened that a small group of rumor peddlers and gossips are being given another opportunity by the media to hurl malicious, made-up stories. Unlike the self-promoters behind this orchestrated campaign, the Church respects the religious beliefs of others and the privacy of parishioners. Numerous myths, gossip, rumors and falsehoods regurgitated over the last few days have their origins with a small collection of obsessive fringe bloggers exploiting others to promote self-serving hateful agendas.
Scientology is a new religion enjoying explosive growth. In recent years we have opened 37 new Churches in major metropolitan areas and cultural centers in a dozen nations. This year will see many more milestones in the months to come. Mr. Miscavige is a visionary who has brought our Church through the most difficult time of any religion—the passing of its founder—to a Church dedicated and committed to parishioners and the achievement of its religious, social and humanitarian missions on a global scale.
Our Churches are open seven days a week and many have public display areas to answer questions about the Church. Many of those questions can also be answered at our website, http://www.Scientology.org
As for your specific questions, they are insulting and offensive. Mrs. Miscavige continues her work in the Church as she always has. The stale rumor being circulated by unreliable bloggers about her was answered definitively by her counsel a year ago and published in Us Magazine and The Telegraph in the UK, as you can see here: http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/5-things-you-dont-know-about-scientology-leader-david-miscavige-201257, and here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/9441711/Mrs-Shelly-Miscavige.html
We do not expect you to take this matter up as it is truly out of line.
As for Ms. Remini, we have previously supplied our comment: The Church respects the privacy of parishioners. We do not believe an individual’s private spiritual matters should be exploited for personal gain by a handful of self-promoters who surface to spout the same tired tabloid myths.
“Visionary” — can you imagine describing yourself that way?
Or being so brazen as to keep saying they have “opened 37 NEW churches”?? The world is waking up. I really think that too many people have taken these things at face value for too long — as in “Surely nobody would lie about that, it is too easy to verify”…. Find a NEW church of Scientology opened anywhere in the last few years and I will close down my unreliable fringe blog (I also saw Sinar posted that this blog ranks 17,000 places above Scientology.org in popularity in the United States — sounds like the lunatic fringe is calling the fringe “fringe”…)
My grammar stinks on purpose btw. ‘Cos I am cause, like innit.
Look. I’ve just about had enough of these DAMN SELF PROMOTERS!! Next thing you know it’ll be slap & tickle time.
Have you noticed the quality of their written statements has degenerate considerable of late. The grammar stinks. Hardly the work of seasoned professional.
Another fine job Mr. Rinder. If only Davey had your backbone.
With all the negative publicity that has come to COB’s door, perhaps one of the most aggravating things for him is the way many media reporters/commentators have been mispronouncing his last name. I would bet that the veins in his neck & head are just about ready to pop like a balloon if another one refers to him as David “Miss-ka-vitch”. He’s the leader (self appointed pope) of the “fastest growing” religion on the planet & yet they can’t even get his name right. Not only that, but if Leah Remini doesn’t have the rank to ask about Shelly or why COB is alledgedly playing “slap & tickle” with his secretary, surely some “wog” media reps don’t have it either.
I predict that, as we’ve seen time & time again, David’s plan to handle this situation will only serve to make it much worse. If what has been reported about Leah is accurate, she won’t just sit back & allow the church to “fair game &/or dead agent” her, she’ll speak up. David has been so disconnected from reality & the ‘real world’ he doesn’t understand that if he repeats the tactics they’ve employed in the past, it will only serve to reinforce & confirm all the negative PR the church has earned itself over the years. You’d think he’d figure that out already but apparently he’s a slow learner.
I don’t want to pick too many nits, Mike, but the Inglewood Idle Org’s official opening date was November 5, 2011. So I can name at least one “new” (previously nonexistent org) in the last few years. As you note, however, Mike, the overwhelming majority of “new” churches opened were accompanied by closing other churches.
Look who I’m tellin’.
Good point Plainoldtheta. But also note that except for Inglewood Org, there is not one, not one other new church opening anywhere on the planet because all the Ideal (Idle) Orgs are just the same orgs dressed up. So can you make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear? I think not. You need people to fill an org and that is the one commodity that Der Midget is short on.
David Miscavige in all his lunacy is playing out the LRH maxim “THE OVERT DOTH SPEAK LOUDLY IN ACCUSATION” to the hilt! The more he tries to stop the deeper he gets.
I AM DAMNED PROUD TO BE OUT OF HIS FALLING 500 STORY BUILDING CALLED THE CO$. When it finally crashes to the ground, all who are still inside are going to wish they had left to join us on the outside where it is safe.
“The Internet is … the collective reactive mind of planet Earth….” geez you guys get out much? Love to see how that goes over with most of your Scientology public who make their living using a computer. That makes about as much sense as when I had an MAA tell me that my 83 year old mothers SP declare was the “most kind ” thing to do for her. The rationale being that after she dropped her body, she would know what her condition really was, and come back into Scientology and get back into good graces. No, I kid you not.
😮
I decided to look at the links provided and found a couple of things:
1. One of the link leads nowhere.
2. The other leads to a page that just has just “entheta” rather than the correct reference.
3. I searched Shelly Miscavige on Yahoo to find the correct link and discovered a great paid ad: “David Miscavige: redefining the term religious leader”. Boy, ain’t that the truth! Incompetence with glutzy style.
Wow!! I just read the scientology.org bit about Miscavige at the above-mentioned link. It’s about the most narcissistic thing I have ever read. And it definitely “only one”
To DM: If the future’s black as thunder, don’t let people see you’re blue;
Just cultivate a cast-iron pie face the whole day through!
Well as one “self promoting blogger”on the “lunatic fringe” to another.

😉
All I gotta say is that the Church’s level of hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Especially the one about respecting their parishioners privacy.
Oh please……
All those folders that were marked “priest penitent privileged files” have long since turned into dossiers under Miscavige’s “visionary” (it’s hard to type that word without feeling nauseous) leadership.
Then of course there are the other bloviations about establishing churches in “cultural” centers as if a strip mall is a place of culture.
Alleging that there were 37 of them which is pure unadulterated delusion. Meaning that delusionary leadership is more appropriate than “visionary” unless visionary includes hallucinations.
Giving me the impression that the Church leadership such as it must be guzzling acid laced Kool Aid.
Oh, yeah. Forgot this one:
Q: How can you tell when the Church of Scientology is officially lying?
A: OSA issues a statement to the press.
there’s some light at the end of the tunnel – oh wait. it’s A TRAIN! – and it has “Leah Remini speaks out”
written all over it!
” And meantime he is taking a long, warm effluent shower as the contents of his own septic tank are pouring on his head.”
That is hands down, the single best visual I have read from both you or Marty’s blog! Thank you for that image! I think we are seeing “new heights” of “It sucks to be Miscavige.” It’s great to see him firmly behind the wheel of the Titanic, using his minions to forward his message of alter-isness and his complete inability to take any kind of responsibility for his actions as the fruits of his “psychopathness” come back upon him squarely.
DM likes those golden showers!
From Wikipedia:”Aikido is performed by blending with the motion of the attacker and redirecting the force of the attack rather than opposing it head-on.” This seems to be a great description of the way Leah Remini is handling her separation from Scientology.
If the church won’t produce Shelly they will create a vacuum (as they already are) and then any sort of speculation, rumor, guessing, and gossip will be created to fill the vacuum.
Better produce Shelly and take your chances Dave, otherwise wild speculation will take the story wherever it wants
K, hope those 50 hours are well underway for you! (anticipating your response all in good time.) In the meantime, I have it on good authority that Dave is so convinced of the total
infallibility of his success, that he has decided forthwith, to rename his “superior” religion
“The Church of Mi$cavigological Mind Control,” to take effect with the simultaneous release
of GAT 2, as well as the NEW Kool-Aid in “numb-is-as-good-as-dumb” flavour, and the
RE-release of (you’re not going to believe this:) THE BASICS 2…….. All to be done at rocket
speed at FLAG , (of course!) in preparation for the final unveiling of the “NEW” Super Power Building. (Not! ) (Not even a fat chance in hell!) (EVER!)
QFT: “… Sinar posted that this blog ranks 17,000 places above Scientology.org in popularity in the United States — sounds like the lunatic fringe is calling the fringe “fringe”…).”
It is now 7:49 Friday morning and CNN is having a story on Leah. Nancy Many is suppose to be on.
According to my sources still “in”, the Internet is regularly being called as the collective reactive mind of planet Earth by SO staff when “handling” publics…
“The Internet is … the collective reactive mind of planet Earth….” That’s rich. Why not just redefine the reactive mind as everything not uttered by David Miscavige or written by Danny Sherman.
Well, I guess next time Voldemort does one of his “Rolling Thunders” about how there are “17.61 people every 16.26 minutes who are accessing the biggest religious internet site the universe has ever seen and more people are being introduced to Scientology and getting on the Bridge in 47 seconds than in 10 years earlier of previous highest evers” we should all realize that he is just talking about contributing to the reactive mind of earth at a greater rate than anyone has ever done before?
Speaking of the Internet, the Church publishes the “Freedom” magazine online. (Others often refer to this periodical as “Freedumb” magazine.) In the spirit of letting the Church speak for itself, I would suggest that people who are just now hearing how Scientology would NEVER speak publicly about parishioners’ personal decisions or denigrate their families, you might wish to start with the Freedom issue about The New Yorker’s Lawrence Wright-authored February 14, 2011, article, “The Apostate. Paul Haggis vs. the Church of Scientology.” Although Wright is a Pulitzer prize-winning author and won many accolades for this piece, Freedom magazine’s own review of Wright’s article is much more entertaining. Freedom’s review also makes quite clear how the Church NEVER interferes with parishioners’ personal decisions about matters of religion, faith, and family allegiances. Crystal-clear, in fact.
🙂
So then why is the Church of Scientology itself on the Internet? I wonder if anyone in has the presence of mind to ask that question.
“David Miscavige” dies
before our very eyes
His poison lies
always aimed “elsewhere”,
always telling “duh troof”,
and with every bumbling gaffe and goof
provides more and more proof,
convicting himself in the Court of Public Opinion.
This march hare!
Trapped in his own snare!
Good one Espiritu!
Out of curiosity I checked “visionary” in a dictionary. The first definition was quite interesting:
“A person given to fanciful speculations and enthusiasms with little regard for what is actually possible.”
I think the word fits quite well with regard to every scheme Miscavige has promoted, and it especially sums up the Idle Org scenario.
His arrogance is unbelievable. It must suck to be David Miscavige right now. He must be aware that it’s all falling apart around him and he can do nothing, nothing at all, to prevent it.
I don’t believe DM is aware that it’s all falling apart. I think he has bought into his own delusions and thinks he is impervious to any other gods or law. To admit things are falling apart around him presupposes that he somehow should have done something different. As he cannot make a mistake, this is impossible. End of story.
There’s an old auditing command for someone in Miscavige’s mindset: “Come up to present time!”
Could very well be true, Bonny. Firstly, Miscavige has surrounded himself with ultra butt-kissing sycophants continually telling him he is the greatest man ever and that everything he does and says is perfect and brilliant. Secondly, he has perverted the Church structure and its infrastructure including outside professionals (lawyers, etc) into one big mechanism to protect him at all costs and by any means possible, and these outside professionals he interacts with are also ultra butt-kissing sycophants. Add these factors to his raging serv facs (which if laid end to end would reach to Alpha Centauri and back), and presto, you have the guy who believes the hype of his own reactive mind and those around him that he is infallible.
American historian Henry Charles Lea spent much of his life studying the Inquisition of the Roman Catholic Church. The resemblances with the Scientology Church are so striking that the name of Scientology should be ‘Inquisitionology’, because they have brought the techniques of the former Inquisition to a new, 21st century level.
Just a few key characteristics: (translated from another language, so it’s not perfect english)
…it was not the judge who had to prove someone’s innocence, but the accused had to show his innocence (Nicole Remini and the accusation of having had sex);
… the Inquisition acted mostly on anonymous reporters, whose reports were never shown to the accused; on top of that he seldom knew of what he was exactly accused; even a child could hand in a report by which his parents could end up in jail (read: the Hole, the RPF). Only the confession counted (sic).
According to Lea, it was a system that had hardly any escape possibilities. The organization covered the whole continent (Europe at the time), they had a extensive archive and a policesystem (read: OSA).
Any catholic could report on somebody who showed different opinions than the official doctrines.
The point of the Inquisition was to paralyse the minds of the believers by fear.
The greatest crime in their eyes was changing the official doctrines. This justified total ex-communication and death.
The Inquisition was the armed force of the holy Order and nothing in the world was more important than the survival of that Order.
Scientology = Inquisition.
It was the biggest enemy of freedom and equality in Europe’s history.
I was born into a catholic family and encountered religion in catholic boarding school at the age of 5. The absurdity of an infinitely loving, merciful, forgiving god who created humans in his own image, making us his children, who he then bullies with purgatory and hell for sinning, well all that I rejected right off the bat. My parents being somewhat ‘social catholics’ (those who attend church for their face in the community) took my rebellion with the large grain of salt required: they bribed me with stuff so I would not make waves. I decided then that I had a duty to learn as much as I could about organized religions and varied cults. No to join, mind you, no, no, no, rather that I could become so knowledgeable that nobody, be they adults, religious figures or what-nots, could stand an argument with me. I made myself religion-proof, and have been a proud atheist ever since. I completely agree with you Sara and am glad you have pointed this out. It seems pretty clear to me that LRH took several pages out of many other religions to build his cult. I have been watching the many sites including the present for quite a while now and even though in general I do not share in belief systems like some of the commentators, I must state that I am in awe of the courage, strength and solidarity shown herein. Mike, you are a true blue empathetic human being and I congratulate you on your clear headed posts, especially those that highlight the drop in numbers in Co$ as well as the detailed explanations from the distance of deep past involvement at the core of this organization. Most importantly you provide a safe forum for the escapees to vent and relate their sorrows. To all ex-scions I wish to express my most sincere sympathy for your loses as well as my deep admiration of your courage. Stay strong all of you and keep pushing for the exposure to broad day light of the vampire Devil Miscarage. All my love and thanks.
in general I do not share in belief systems like some of the commentators
I like the balance of your post, Marie, and I sense a kindred spirit in you, but the above statement doesn’t apply to Scientology, which is an applied mental/spiritual technology. I was also raised Catholic, and like you, I rejected that belief system at a young age, for many of the same reasons you did. In time, I found Scientology, which was a path that appealed to me because it didn’t involve belief or blind faith in unknowable deities, a heaven or hell, or the supernatural.
One of the primary precepts of Scientology is that, “What’s true for you is what you yourself have observed.” The decrepit cult no longer advertises that, and its enslaved members certainly wouldn’t dare to practice that bit of simple wisdom in regards to the church, but that one simple precept is at the heart of what true Scientology is.
It’s been said before, but it bears repeating: There is an ocean of difference between Scientology, and the group which bears its name.
Beautiful, Ronnie!
Oh this has been fun! Go Leah! Go Nicole! The trouble is that the women are a LOT less spiritually burdened than Miscavige. So who will win this one! DM will lose lots of little pieces of himself fighting this one. Tick…tick…tick…..
That statement from the “church” is actually what they think is going on! They actually think that crap is true. They believe it. They have written it over and over and over, and force these stories down the command lines to everyone in the fucking ranks (tee-hee…) that it becomes “truth” for them. No matter what religion you are, they all say that you can’t live in lies, you must live with the truth. Surprise surprise. But since Miscavige is really only a little crumbly lump of coal anyway he shouldn’t be so concerned with what religions say. 🙂
Oh yes, we are a small group.
2.5% of 10,000,000 = 250,000 SPs
We expect David to join us SOON!
It just requires 1hour for the cult to get 40 new people in.
2.5% of 10,000,040 = 250,001 SPs
You are unlucky Davy! 40 new members is not an easy task. Much more difficult than 40 new square meters.
Btw. do you have 10,000,000 square meters?
LOL
Sorry, I just realised that I made a serious mistake. There aren’t 10,000,000 members.
From now on I will quote the cult with 9,999,999 members.
Leah doesn’t count anymore.
As Kirstie Alley once said, the RCS is not a “turn-the-other-cheek” kind of religion. Well, that’s for sure. Yet now as regards Remini & Co the church is trying to position itself as conservative and classy. Kind of late in the game for this but they’re trying, because they actually have no other choice. On the one hand, they know they should be applying the “always attack, never defend” tech. On the other hand, they know that if they begin vilifying Leah Remini, in that she has the public’s sympathy and good will and the media’s ear, lots of their own dirty laundry will be hanging on the line as well. They know that the public, which barely tolerates them now, will really loathe them if they trash this woman. This is quite a PR problem for the church and I see them as effectively check-mated in this game. Damned if they attack, and damned by their whales if they don’t attack. ISTBM, for sure.
I think Jeff Hawkins quoted some ancient wise person, cutting to the heart of the matter.
Following that ancient wise person’s advice, all that DM and Kirstie Alley would need to do, is both fly to Leah Remini’s city, and take Leah out to dinner, and hug Leah, and publicly wish Leak well, and remain friends for life, with Leah, despite all the valid complaints Leah would likely hurl at DM and Kirstie.
If Scientolgyists could just accept the criticism, let it sink in, take it, and remain friends, with the people who quit Scientology, and just NOT do all these tactics back at the people who are leaving and criticizing, just accept the criticism, try to deal with it.
Hubbard’s advice and policy steps forcing Scientology to do all their PR and lying and retaliation (and lying about not retaliating), is wrong, and Scientology ought just stop doing all that crap.
Chuck, I agree with you, but let me say this: Hubbard wrote these policies on the assumption that the church would be in the right, would be innocent of wrong-doing, and so could effectively defend itself by attacking the attacker, who, if the church had clean hands and was only helping people, would have to be suppressive. That was LRH’s logic and I agree with it. The problem is that the church has been applying this “always attack, never defend” policy when it does NOT have clean hands, when it IS guilty of what it is being accused. THAT’S why the “always attack, never defend” policy backfires on them every time. The policy is being misapplied. Its purpose is to defend innocence, not to mask guilt.
Important point Aqua!
Chuck – I follow along with Aquamarine’s thoughts. There were deliberate malicious attempts to shut Scientology down precisely because it did so much good. (Claiming that the e-meter was being used as an unlicensed medical device because running an engram could fix some recurring pains is spurious on the face of it – a contrived excuse, no more. ) Today, a lot of people WANT the FBI to get aggressive, and the FBI sit on their hands like confused school children – or perhaps are intentionally doing nothing to stop the crimes being committed.. – Carcha.
“Visionary”? Now that’s smelly rich!
Oh yes, VISIONS of a PR nightmare shit storm that is only gathering more shit, and smellier shit as it roles downhill like some sort of a giant shit snowball, becoming ever larger and indefensible with each passing it- sucks- to- be miscavige day.
Great Work MIKE!
I am postulating that someone, male or female, with really huge cajones (figuratively speaking) pens an unauthorized autobiography of Chairman of the Board RTC Mr. David Miscavige. I have this picture. It is going to happen.
When I read the church’s ever-so-carefully worded press issuance, I just said to myself…
Hello Kettle, I’m Pot. You’re black.
I literally said “blah, blah, blah”. Aside from the few comments specific to the situation, the rest ” buildings, expansion, most dangerous transition” is the same thing he says every time.
Hint: when your big accomplishment was over 20 years ago and you feel the need to remind people about it all the time it just sounds bad.
I cringe when I read their continuous touting of unprecedented expansion due to David Miscavige the “Visionary”.
I made a video on Leah Remini and covered some information on the 5 years of interrogations on question
Where’s Shelly ?
http://youtu.be/F9mSyrNUbfc
Miscavige and his stooges have a fascinating prose style. For example, they like to say ‘we’ and ‘our’ instead making it plain which individual is speaking. On the principle of spotting the being instead of the ridge or picture that he’s hiding behind, what can you obnose?
Maybe DM uses the royal “we” that kinds always used when speaking of themselves….”We are not amused…”
That is a typo in my post. I meant to say “…royal “we” that kings always used when speaking of themselves and royalty.”
Ha Ha – “the royal ‘we'” – that’s just what I thought.
I more than half expect “pouw” to respond with “sticks and stones…”
Isn’t it just amazing how much trouble one Super Special Suppressive Person can cause across a number of dynamics. David Miscavige… you are creating a really bad effect on thousands of people and their families. I bet you feel really special and omnipotent now don’t you!? All for what? What have you actually got when your game is filled with so many lies? Really…what joy do you really find in it? I want to know. I bet we all want to understand. Because from where I sit it just looks like no fun at all. Do you really enjoy being this way? Soon, you will be run out of town and have no place to call home. Soon….. Tick tock…..
Mirari – The subject is worthy of discussion and resolution. OMP, the only thing “visionary” about “it” (a case phenomenon) is that it sees the depth of trouble it is in. It is only rarely capable of containing itself, and is practically begging to be stopped as soon as possible, trying to prove it is irresponsible. It’s a real mess. Put it somewhere by itself, give it a nice fat rock, and let it suppress it (LRH said words to that effect). The amount of hatred and evil piled up over ages is massive. I know I cannot contain a MWH (I have to spot it. then get away and handle it), and I’ve seen others who cannot do it etiher. I can’t imagine what it must be like to have hundreds or even thousands of them. “My Life as a Squash Ball” might be a decent description of the feeling. From an objective view, it’s sad. But it’s a reflection of all thetan-kind, that we did not see it. It is dangerous, but imo the best we can do is to try to ensure it is punished no further. Prevented from doing further harm, yes. – Carcha.
The cult keeps trying to make itself seem above board and sort of conservative and with high ethics. The only problem is that they are full of shit and everyone sees it but the cult thinks they don’t.
Talk about not-is. (denial)
The cult came after me after I visited Marty a couple of years ago with their little hate site. Talk about not respecting religious beliefs!!? The cult is an expert of not respecting the religious beliefs of others. Look what they do to Marty! He has his own beliefs. Do they respect them? Hell no.
The truth is that the cult run by cob mismanage is a covertly hostile hate group. IF you don’t suck up to it and play nicey nice with it they will do whatever they can to ruin you. But they PRETEND to be all sane and shit. The truth is that they are friggin NUTS!!! Mostly cob-cat.
yet…they do respect the privacy …right? I mean…they said so, so it must be true…
Ohhhh….they’re full of respect…. Just oozing with it.
Hmmm….I fail to see anything covert about the czerch in its responses. Their hostility is right up front and oh so easy to see.
Very true Tony. My sentiments exactly.
Wow. This is getting ugly for him.
I LOVE the smell in the morning of a, “SELF PROMOTING BLOGGER”. It must SUCK to be Miscavige.
Visionary, I don’t think so.
I have just come across your “who is…”. I have never in my life felt such compassion for anyone as I do for you (and I wish you such happiness and health)
. such venum… Such twisted words. I was so shocked that I could not continue on. No one is perfect but such nastiness and, bitterness is a sign that your daughter desperately needs help. That the powers that be in that”church”are sick and yes.. phsyco.
Interest, I’m glad you saw that site. That kind of pathology is hard to convey to someone who hasn’t been face to face with it before. The Church of Scientology is a dangerous, vindictive, evil organization led by someone in whose image it has been shaped for the last 30 years — David Miscavige. I honestly think the best way to show the world what the Church of Scientology is like is to get out of the way and let the Church (Miscavige) represent itself.
I agree completely.
It’s rather entertaining to see…
Right on, Interest. I read it too, and cringed for her. She only degrades herself by such screed. That said, I have no doubt that Mike totally understands and would never hold it against her, and if or when she has her cognition and leaves would welcome her with loving arms, stand by her, and help her.
You got that right Aqua.
Got how FUBAR is all this. Yes, the ongoing and never ending Contrary Fact in the Church’s actions in response to the public exposures of it’s and Miscavige’s crimes and dirty laundry is to dismiss it all as the work of nobody, fringe, bitter defrocked apostates, but at the same time to expend ludicrous quantities of time, resources and money to attack the “nobodies.” Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out Miscavige is consumed with hatred and fear towards the nobodies. And what about the clueless statements to the media – refusals to answer questions for being offensive, refusals to speak to reporters, now howling that to even take up this whole situation (which Miscavige created) is “out of line.” Miscavige must really hate that he can’t sweep into the offices of these media outlets with his entourage and beat the crap out of the offending reporters.
🙂
Now David, put that in your scotch and choke on it!
“We are disheartened that a small group of rumor peddlers and gossips are being given another opportunity by the media to hurl malicious, made-up stories.”
So lets see Davey just how you want to explain this ‘made up’ story………
Your now infamous MASTER AT ARMS, Julian Schwartz did not issue a Suppressive Person Declare on one 37 year member of the Cult of Scientology by the name of Cooper Kessel on or about 12 February, 2013. Nor was his now ex-wife Sheri Kessel summoned to Los Angeles on or about 16 February, 2013 so the news could be sprung on her by her daughter Haley Kessel ( who had not been removed from her post as Deputy C/O of CMO-IXU due to the scurrilous behavior of her loser Dad) for the purpose of getting the entire family to disconnect from said loser, dead beat, Class VI, OT VIII, Patron Meritorious, Cornerstone, and Planetary Disseminator otherwise known as a cult addicted dumbshit extrodanaire.
These things did not actually happen Dave now did they.
And another thing that did not happen is that my son Phil who is not the Tech Sec of the Sacramento Org did not decide to break communication with his loser dad, his 92 yr old grandmother Mary Kessel or his Aunt Karen. And ex-wife Sheri did not decide to file for divorce for any reasons connected with the Cult of Scientology but rather soley on her own determinism because we had grown apart over the years but it was not because of continuous third party by MAAs at Flag and PAC and the IAS regges nor was it due to any sort of direct lying by Paul Miller (Flag Reg) to Sheri Kessel when she was not at Flag in the Fall of 2009, where she was not trying to get onto OT VI and she did not donate over $70,000.00 to the IAS without any knowledge of her husband who of course had nothing to do with helping to earn said monies which were not of course donated under any sort of duress and even if he had known about it, would have gladly doubled that amount because he so wants to be in the good graces of a cult that is vastly superior to all other cults by a factor of 10x.
This type of rubbish is of course wholly untrue, did not ever happen and is entirely made up with the intent to harm or destroy …………………….right Davey. In fact my only purpose in life has been to hang around your cult so I could dedicate my life to it’s destruction because I have not one better fucking thing to do, being of very unsound mind and body, having been associated with…… well you know!
Should I go on with these things that are made up out of thin air Davey and go ahead and publish these non events in the “tabloids” that never tell the truth because these stories are entirely made up and are wholly untrue.
Yes Davey, the real story is that my family is happy, we are all together enjoying our own and each others lives and applying the best of the best of Scientology and that is the absolutely sole reason under the sun we are doing so well. Go ahead and publish that Davey because it of course is the real true story. The other stuff above is really a lie and is only being said to cause a turd to appear in your tanning booth.
And by the way, where is Haley Kessel? I haven’t seen her in a very long time.
Boooooyah….
Don’t mess with the Kess.
You need the truth rd man. You are making shit up.
🙂
🙂 Been there, done that…
Cooper your story always just horrifies me … no matter how often I hear it.
I hope you’ve posted this over on Tony O’s blog as he is compiling the various disconnection stories. There are many of his regular posters who don’t use their real names and therefore their stories won’t pack quite the same punch as someone who is using his own name.
Christine
Darn Coop,
These non-happening stories are piling up shit high!
Sorry, had to laugh about the “cult addicted dumb shit extraordinary”
Maybe it IS time for the tabloids to hear this.
Greta
Whoa.
Cooper, this is the first time I’ve heard your tale that “never happened”. I’m practically dumbstruck by the outrageous level of insult, injury, and injustice you’ve suffered at the hands of the cult. I’ve suffered my own, but they pale into insignificance beside what you’ve endured.
I salute you for still being there, and for still communicating. Bravo.
OMG Cooper! What an unbelievable bunch of totally suppressive bullshit! I hope Haley comes to her senses……..my heart goes out to you,
Wow, Coop, this horrible story is hard to fathom, yet it did happen. And the world should know it. Have you thought about posting it on Tony Ortega’s site? He is asking for personal disconnection stories on his site and since you are willing to sign your real name and you got very real with exact time, place, form, event of it all, this is powerful stuff. This is enough power to blow the midget sky high when people read it. My heart goes out to you for the suffering that church put you through. In the church’s mind, it is OK because it is, “the greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics, and what’s one casualty compared to the huge win of more money in the coffers, a family split up in order to bring truth, justice and freedom to a deserving planet!” Excuse me while I barf. Keep on truckin’ Coop! We have your back!
“a long, warm effluent shower as the contents of his own septic tank are pouring on his head.” You are truly a wordsmith sir. Accurate and colorfully stated!
As usual your turn of phrase is fantastic. I look forward to reading it daily. What will I do once the church implodes?
Man this is better than any soap opera, I just feel so bad for all the people that get hurt. Mike I am glad to see you can still have a great sense of humor after all you have gone through.
To summarize their response: “You don’t have the fucking rank to ask about Mrs. Miscavige!”
They really have “arrogant condescension” to a T.
Yeah Jeff. And as you may have noticed, it really goes over well!
I’m a visionary Mike. I have a vision of Shelly Miscavige on CNN being interviewed about the conditions in which she was held against her will on church property for years. Now free, she goes on to expose David Miscavige for being the one that sent her to be “re-educated” .
I like your vision, Doug Parent!
This story has big time legs as they say! Howard Stern even spent a good portion of his radio show today discussing the story and Kristie Alley.
Wait until Leah goes out and gives her own interview and tells what happened. That should be very damaging.
Incompetence. Such ignorant incompetence.
Words of wisdom Lloyd….
Hilarious that the US magazine article cited contains a long quote from Jenna Hill Miscavige describing the church as “mentally and physically abusive”!
Yes, and the “People” mag says this; ” ‘ she is a tough woman
and isn’t the type to yield or turn a blind eye to a blatant injustice,’
says Jenna Miscavige Hill, the niece of David Miscavige and the
author of ‘Beyond Belief: My Secret Life Inside Scientology and My
Harrowing Escape’. People like that don’t last in Scientology because
they aren’t easy to control.”
Now look at these other “celebs” who cowardly bury their heads in
the sand.
“Mrs. Miscavige continues her work in the Church as she always has”.
Fine. But many people are concerned about this lady. She has not been viewed in public since 2007. She was, for many years, a very public person. OSA, if you are reading this, could Mrs. Miscavige please make a public statement to the effect that she is alive, in good health, and very busy doing her Church work, and thanking all of those whose voices have been raised in concern for her? I believe such a statement from the wife of the ecclesiastical leader would be appropriate at this point and would quiet any fears the majority of the public may be experiencing about this lady. What do you think, OSA?
At this point nothing would satisfy my concerns other than a video’ed statement with a public notary filmed in a location off church premises. Anything short of that is cause for investigation by the proper authorities. The Scientology organization has a long established history of making false representations. Too many ex members with corroborated accounts of being held captive at Int Base, Freewinds, or possibly at CST to blow this off. PRODUCE SHELLY.
I agree!
No, that’s not good enough for me. No staged video (we know how Gold does those things). Nope, now I need to see her publicly among other people and verified by non-CO$ controlled third parties. The mainstream media is becoming very interested in Shelly’s whereabouts and as the days go on, the interest will only increase.
This story is growing legs and is the type that the media likes to run with: the mystery about what happened to a woman often in the public eye…. a powerful man with a missing wife….. and a mistress…. a man with the resources to cover up…… and the ego to try it….. and powerful friends…..
Leah Remini is on record asking about Shelly. What about the other rich & powerful? Are they on record or are they complicit, even accessories after the fact? Things could get very interesting if a healthy Shelly is not seen soon.
#WhereIsShelly?
Produce Shelley!
Everyone, I just popped in and read the posts and cogged on the outpoint in my request to OSA. Thanks to all for spotting it. At the time of writing I did have it in mind for Shelly Miscavige to make her statement, her public announcement of her whereabouts and her activities for the past 7 years in person but I neglected to specify that detail, so just for the record, yes, absolutely, she should show herself. The best thing the church could do at this point, to D/A what they’ve labelled rumors and malicious gossip, etc. about her disappearance would be for David Miscavige himself to present her. I mean, if he did that – introduced her, escorted her to the microphone for her statement, well, that would be that. A Flag Graduation would do nicely I’ll bet it would draw like crazy, too. What do you think, OSA? Does this sound like a good D/A strategy to lay to rest the Shelly Miscavige issue?
And Heber, for that matter. Since this Perfect Shitstorm is happening, maybe some of the attention needs to go on the other, long-time loyal people with whom the public are familiar. Heber is loved by those old enough to remember his jovial face and the spirit of play manner in which he handled the press and legitimate questions. He went to jail for this group and still, they couldn’t break him. After 6 years in the engine room at the ship (sent there by a jealous pr*ck of a worthless human being) I understand that Heber came out incoherent and severely compromised. THAT pisses me off as he is a friend of mine. What say you, Tony Ortega? Backstory?
Heber did not spend 6 years in the engine room at the ship and has never in my experience been incoherent. This sort of “urban legend” helps nobody so I try to correct anything I know to be wrong. The saddest part of this is that if you asked Heber if he is “happy” he would tell you he was doing great and doing exactly what he wants to be doing…. The mindset is HEAVILY ingrained.
Hey OSA, where’s the evidence Shelly is back on post? I don’t see any “Proof of Life.”
Yes, that mystified me when I read the Tony Ortega story. What exactly was the proof that made them say that Shelly is alive? They didn’t say how they came to that conclusion?
Don’t worry about her. She is not much better than her husband.
ISTBM
😉
Sets Guy,
I don’t know her but from what I’ve read I tend to believe you. That said, her character and what she might have done wrong are not the issues. She disappeared. She’s been gone for 7 years. Apparently only a few people know where she is and what she is doing and they won’t give details. This is the issue, the unnatural, non-sequitor, no comm disappearance of a human being. Once we get the missing applicable data the other issues will follow.
Nicole’s radio and print interviews are outstanding what an Excellent spokesperson. This coupled with your opinion on the current situation gives a great overall narrative of the predicament He is in it does suck to be Him.
Also I had previously missed this but from the Times FBI article of 1 12 2013 Karen Pouw states up to 900 SO have worked at Int at any given time. She goes on to write about the other 5000 SO members Worldwide. Numbers in statements have a tendency I have noticed to be inflated. This to me is significant that the SO membership is so low I had not realized this till today.
The number is even more interesting when you consider that there are an estimated 25,000 ex so members, including deceased.
Not just interesting Mike… That is one statistic that tells the real story of scientology in seconds.
How many have left scientology versus how many have stayed?
If Hemet is anything to go by then there are about 4 to 5 times more out’s than there are in… About 20%. But worse still is that the 20% figure is only maintained by fresh blood coming in. The percentage that have joined and never left (Miscavige, Starkey, etc) is even lower.
That is one seriously shitty statistic. But it is the most telling of all Scientology statistics.
As a friend of mine once said… The “EP” of Scientology seems to be leaving scientology.
I was for several years at LATAM Cont. There were never more than 200 Sea Org Members on the whole cont, meaning counting FRs, FBOs, EDs, LCs, etc. Perhaps is just something that happens at LATAM and there are thousands of other Sea Org Memebers at other conts. . .
Mike, you are doing a great job. Keep it up.
Absolute positive!!!! as my grandfather used to say
You are right Mike, if he says to be so busy with his GAG II, changing the Grade Chart, forcing the Orgs to collect seizable amounts of money and pampering his communicator, amongst other things..why so much worry about some “blogs”…Makes me wonder what WHs have been missed…
Does anyone but Miscavige think these Church statements mean anything? They are futile and ridiculous. At best they are entertainment reminiscent of some of Bagdad Bob’s “official statements”. At worst they are simply ignored. They change no ones mind and have zero influence on public opinion.
“It sucks to be Miscavige”. Those words become truer every day. I think another factor that makes this just about the perfect shitstorm is that Leah obviously captured the public hearts in a way that perhaps Paul Haggis and Jason Beghe didn’t. And anybody that heard that phenomenal interview with her big sis will know in a millisecond these are sisters NOT to be messed with! This is great theatre – you couldn’t invent or buy better drama.
The world has long since stopped believing any statement that comes out of the mouth of the “Official” Church of Scientology.
After taking that effluent shower (golden age of showers) Dave has changed his tune to playing the violin in his empty echo chambers of Idle Orgs. http://abcnews.go.com/US/church-scientology-internationals-statement-abc-news-leah-remini/story?id=19703376
Forcing parishoners of existing Orgs to buy new buildings they dont need doesn’t = “new Churches”.
And then signing them over to him once they pay to have them refurbished.
But signing these new parishioners owned buildings over to the
church, isn’t that quite “visionary”? I’ll say it is a stroke of genius
how you can con the few people who are left in the church. How
obvious is obvious?
“When buildings become important ….will someone please blow up Central Headquarters?” — LRH!
Sinar- Golden Age of Showers- LOL.
Will someone PLEASE take “Self-Promoting Blogger” as a handle? This is cracking me up almost as much as “Bitter Defrocked Apostate”.
Excellent analysis, Mike. Tiny’s got two tigers by the tail with the Remini sisters. I love how they’re taking turns with the press. Someone must have given them a copy of “The Art of War”.
Sinar! “Golden Age of Showers”! +1 too! 😀
Lars – what I would love to see is who’s name/corporate name is on all these buildings. Does anyone have access to that documentation? Any Real Estate people who know how to find the deed holder?
I ♥ love ♥ being a self-promoting blogger living on the fringe of the Internet.
Me too !! 🙂
But its better to be on the fringe of the internet than the lunatic fringe of the internet like the church is!
It is better to be on the fringes of the internet than oin the heart of child labor and human traficking.
You’re right this statement stinks of Miscavige. His ego knows no bounds. Visionary? This Karen Pouw reminds me of that Iraqui minister during the first Gulf War. As the coalition forces were on Sadam Hussein’s front door and the Iraqui army lay in tatters, he kept boasting that Iraqui forces were winning.
37 new ‘churches’? Hey, the bigger the lie, the more corporate Scientologist will believe it. Us on the outside can see the bullshit for what it is. I pass by New York’s Idle org on a regular basis. It’s a friggin’ ghost town. It’s a tawdry-looking empty tomb. That’s the reality, Davey. Your ‘cult’ is an empty shell.
