Though somewhat outdated, it is a pretty objective view of the “Independent Scientology world” a year or so ago.
Marty and Tony Ortega were both very good. Thoughtful, intelligent and well-informed.
Mosey was magnificent — calm, rational and cogent.
Roast Beef Productions crammed a lot into a little time in a well constructed and edited piece that didnt dip into sensationalism but treated this as a serious issue of religious freedom.
Of course, the Church of Scientology looked like abject fools and their statements quoted at the end were astonishingly incompetent and utterly disproven by everything that had just been seen.
One thing I can’t understand: the OT III incident is described (supposedly accuratyely and in more or less detail) in this video. Now, I know it may or may not be restimmed on people who see the video with just the description and pictures (I actually have no real evidence of anyone being restimmed by simply hearing the story), but I still refuse to even listen to it (my case level is below that point). But encouraging people to see a video that contains the description of a level/incident that LRH purposefully didn’t allow to be disclosed and/or described to those under the appropriate level to as-is it? Why are you doing that?? Not everyone reading this blog is OT III or above!
Does anyone know If Joanne is an OT? (not by her actions, as those could only be done by a raving bank) Is she from LA?
Overall I thought it was a good documentary. However, do they have to roll out Xenu every time?? Geez, give it a rest! It has nothing to do with the main thrust of the show. If any “in” church members had the courage to watch the show, they probably switched off the first mention of “75 million years ago…”
It’s just unnecessary and does not add any value to the story they are trying to tell.
Other than that I though all indies came off shining, while the official church rebuttals were shockingly bad.
I agree, the Xenu segment de-proffessionalized the docu somewhat.
My thoughts: 1.) Mosey was sent sex toys. Wow. I’ll bet Mosey’s employers were so horrified they fired her. After they borrowed the toys. 2.) Mosey’s TRs were much better than many trained auditors I’ve encountered – especially recently. I was surprised to learn she was never a Scientologist. 3.) Does anyone know who the crazy, squirrel buster chick who was screaming, “It’s all about Marty?” She’s fucking nuts! 4.) I have recently learned from a Sea Org member at Flag that all the people that Marty declared was having their declares expunged. I hope Marty finds that as a relief.

Expunging the declares done by Marty? How humorous is this. IF he declared anyone (and I do not recall him ever doing so) it was only on the express orders of Miscavige. No doubt, anyone they are trying to “handle” by offering to “lift” their declare, they claim was initiated by Marty. For someone who was never in any position of authority (see statement at end of show) he sure was able to do a lot of stuff. After all, according to the church, HE was responsible for crush regging, squirrel ethics handlings, failed metering, empty Ideal Orgs, bad PR for the church and the “culture of violence” they now admit exists….
“All of the declares” “From a Sea Org member at Flag” this is nefarious slander with only generalities.
I seriously doubt if any of the Sea Org Members at Flag know who Marty is unless it’s security. They don’t even know who David Miscavige is. They just know to obey. And they do it.

Dear mike , Mosy is an incredible women for reaching out to Marty to help him in a time of need,and loving her husband unconditionally ,no matter what! marty is out of the church of Scientology ,and is helping people,and has help me with education ,and understanding,and that’s it’s okay to look,and read what you like,and most important of all,Marty help me wake! Marty and his wife have been through Hell. They held the fort and pushed back, making all kinds of Freedom possible for the rest of us. In my book, this is the stuff that heros are made of. It is people like this, who make the impossible possible, that remind us there is still magic and reward in being human. Mike, you were there on the front lines also with others. Your courage and inspiration are the stuff of REAL supernatural. And what you and Marty, Mosey and Karen, the others who stood up, have done has given us our pride back, our freedom back, and reminded of us who and why be choose to be. I consider myself very fortunate to be living in this strange and wonderful parallel dimension. Among people with real integrity. Thank you all for being so damned perfect!

I forgot about the cackling woman squirrelbuster, shown again in this vid. My God, Int Mgt is doing a great job of making themselves look like complete idiots, and they really put the cherry on top with the denials at the end.
Oh, and I think it’s telling that they finally admit that the musical chairs episode occurred. Of course, “it was exaggerated.” Pathetic.

Please, that seems to be very important. In fact it is another scandal by itself ready to be printed in the media!
I am not following you? The evidence was in the show — Marty was shown dozens of times in magazines in full “Captain’s” uniform as Inspector General, alongside Miscavige and they claim he had no ecclesiastical position. The Squirrelbusters are shown and the spies and cameras and PI’s and they claim this is just a “legitimate pre-litigation investigation”…. Musical chairs was just a fun exercise to pass the time of day.
Yes, Marty’s position is clear. But what about the source of the reporters. They claim that the church had such statements. But the reporters are not a reliable source. I trust them. But I would like to know what they are referring to. What was their phonecall or document?
Well, I would suspect they got a letter(s) from the church that those quotes come from. You should ask them….

Yeah, I did sound a bit mixed up. I trust the reporters, obviously not enough to run around naked and forward their stories blindly. My point is that I just have a report here. Now I am trying to verify it. Before I start working with such data – and unfortunately many do already – I would like to be sure that the story is bulletproof.
My objective behaviour made me leave the cult. Guess why there are still so many in there? Most members do not verify data at all. So there is an added value in being a little bit critical of my own fellows.
And see the value of such bulletproof evidence when published. That is what I am striving for. Something that simply cannot find any excuse … on a few thousand flyers handed out right next to a public emeter stand or exhibition.
See the church website, they put all their insanity there for everyone to read….
Nice! Yes, I believe the monopoly is broken. Great job everyone. Marty was very sincere and real. Mosey was so beautiful, loving and intelligent. Chichita has a presence much larger than her body. Such a sharp contrast to that squirrel buster lady’s psycho laughter. I was very glad to hear the move was so intentional and wish the Rathbuns much peace and prosperity in their new home.
Yes… I love Mosey. Wonderful woman. I liked the production very much. I got a true sense of how agonizing this has been for Marty. And the totally bewilderingly incompetent statements at the very end of the program were the icing on the cake! Makes Co$ look completely psychotic. Completely out of touch with reality.
