A new advertorial has appeared from the bubble of self-delusion.
The only reason it doesn’t create a flap like the scientology advertorial in The Atlantic is that nobody reads World Religion News. (See here if you are unfamiliar with The Atlantic fiasco)
But this does provide some interesting insight into the bubble mindset. This is how Miscavige tells his troops to get media coverage (he is afraid to talk to any media or have anyone speak to them in any way). And it reflects the canned, controlled messages he feeds the sheeple at his events.
I have broken this advertorial into 4 pieces for ease of commenting about it.
Right at the outset rather than saying what scientology is, they try to position themselves with others who don’t have such tainted reputations as them (so what are you doing with the NOI?)….
Someone should tell Linda that a 3 1/2 line headline is not good form…
It has never been more exhilarating to be a scientologist… Well, if you define a constant stream of bad news and daily skewering in the media as “exhilarating…”
And then she is off into “go to our website” because I don’t have anything to say myself, followed by “read Freedom magazine” because I can think of nothing to say.
This is truly the “golden age.” Because I said that, it must be true. Hell, the sheeple have been convinced this is the golden age, and Miscavige is certain that he can convince people outside the bubble of the same thing. He just needs to say it often enough and it will eventually sink in.
So, with nothing to say, let’s just reprint Freedom mag? Always safe to use something already approved by COB because getting anything approved can take weeks or months.
And what do they choose? The David Miscavige hagiography. Oh, the wondrous COB who has led us all out of the dark ages and into the golden shining light of real scientology. Again, it’s as if they think the people outside the bubble are going to be impressed the same way the sheeple are by the wondrous exploits of Dear Leader. It really is like North Korea putting out press releases about Kim Jong Sun. As a matter of fact, I just googled Kim Jong Un and here is the caption to the latest press release from the North Korean Press Agency:
Miscavige thinks that telling the world he has seen that all the materials have been tracked down and punctuated perfectly really will impress the world that he is a great religious leader. Like the North Koreans think that showing Kim Jong Un telling noodle factory workers how to do their jobs makes him into such an amazing world leader…
The parallels are striking.
But hold onto your hats, not only is this the signal of a golden age, but so too our “more than forty new Ideal Orgs” that have “opened their doors” in “cultural epicenters” (must be Inglewood because that is the favorite shermanspeak term to stroke African Americans).
Anyone remember the huge hotel in the middle of PyongYang?
This is the North Korean “ideal org”. A huge empty building used to demonstrate the wonders of North Korea to the world (including to the internal population). “Look how prosperous our soiecty is, we need a 1100ft hotel to accommodate all the tourists that flood in to visit the People’s Republic to see for themselves the perfect society.”
Of course, ideal orgs are not NEW churches or new doors, just the same old failing orgs transplanted into different buildings, proving nothing other than the fact that scientology has accumulated a few billion dollars and has it available to spend on unnecessary buildings.
She really gets rolling here on the last page.
Our churches are wide open to the public. Seriously Linda? Have you ever visited downtown Clearwater and observed every window is covered and the security guards outside the buildings, while the video cameras peer down from every corner?
Guarantee you there is nothing wide open about these churches if you a) are an SP b) a reporter c) employed by a government agency d) have high security clearance e) a criminal record f) gay g) a heavy druggie or h) read anything negative on the internet and mention it to the receptionist…
How about directing people to the scientology website with a note that 60% of the population of earth have access to the internet? People are supposed to be impressed by recounting this supposed fact? Why?
Then of course, you can do a COURSE! Yay…
And L. Ron Hubbard was recognized by the Smithsonian — also on the list was Al Capone and Charles Manson.
Not much to impress…
And then back to the “we partner with legitimate people, so we must be OK.”
Frankly, given free reign to put together ANYTHING, this is a piss poor effort.
And while I was writing this, I happened across another one of the brilliant media handlings scientology has become so well known for.
This reported by Business Insider:
In an email to Business Insider, a spokesperson for Scientology calls Gibney’s accusations, “another publicity stunt by Gibney’s PR machine to manufacture interest in his grossly inaccurate and fictional film.”
“The Church of Scientology has been very public and very transparent in its response to Gibney’s ‘documentary,’” the email went on to say. “Our Freedom Magazine website has published videos and white papers exposing the fraud Alex Gibney is perpetrating on his audiences, as well as all the material he ran from because it totally undercut his film. Please watch to see how he avoided the Church for two years.”
The email also stated: “Because Mr. Gibney remained anything but objective, the Church has compiled the unvarnished truth in the form of video footage, court documents, publicly available records and testimonials by pertinent individuals who represent Scientology, and were intentionally ignored by Mr. Gibney and HBO.” It concluded: “Under the guidance of the leader of the religion, Scientology has expanded faster in the last 10 years than in its previous 50 and is the fastest-growing religion of the 21st century.”
And so, there you have it. the UNVARNISHED TRUTH: Under the guidance of the leader of the religion, Scientology has expanded faster in the last 10 years than in its previous 50 and is the fastest-growing religion of the 21st century.
And THAT is the “unvarnished truth” in the MINDS of bubbledwellers. But there is absolutely NOTHING to show for it other than the number of empty buildings.
Just keep saying the same thing over and over — and the sheeple buy into. Any critically thinking person with half a brain looks at it and thinks “that’s bs.” And it is probably the SINGLE thing that most upset Miscavige about Going Clear. Alex Gibney DID mention his “ideal orgs” and produced a nice CGI of them that Miscavige would be proud of. But instead of noting how they “prove” the massive, straight up and vertical epic expansion, he noted it as a reason scientology should not have tax exempt status. What an insult (and how accurate). Gibney will NEVER be forgiven for dissing Dear Leader like that. It is like he laughed at the pyramid monstrosity in the center of PyongYang.
The reports of violence don’t really bother Miscavige so much, he thinks it makes him look tough.
But not buying into the “ideal org” spin about how it proves this is the greatest era of expansion ever, under the brilliant leadership and benevolent guidance of the self proclaimed Pope of Scientology, oh boy, now you really crossed the line….
Formerly, I would always defend the Co$ against the label of “cult”, as I felt people were bing intellectually lazy by simply branding the church as a cult, without investigation.
However, that changed when I saw Shane Smith’s (founder of Vice) film about North Korean. After viewing the film at least twice, I saw the parallels between the church and North Korea’s Stalinist government….

Victoria, you are just now finding out about the 1st Amendment? As far as the Golden Age of posting whatever you wanted on-line, that was in the early 1990’s on the BBS …
Isn’t that image the badly photo shopped nonsense they tried to pass off as a huge crowd some time ago?
Its the same here, looks like a conscious effort to undertake native advertising http://www.patheos.com/Topics/Future-of-Faith-in-America/New-Religions/Scientologys-Future-Linda-Wieland-08-26-2015
The claim about greater expansion in the last decade than in the last 50 years combined is true if you look at cubic meters of building space.
As for greater spiritual development, then people are on much higher IAS status levels than before by a very long way so that looks to be true as well.
Non member here…….and let me just say, quoting a line from Stephen King’s “Dreamcatcher”, “SSDD.”
Or Jack Nicholson from “A Few Good Men”, “You can”t handle the truth”!
We can only hope that sanity will be restored to the insane!
“So, with nothing to say, let’s just reprint Freedom mag?”
Oh yeah. Let’s. Let’s do that. And while they’re at it let’s reprint ALL of the issues, including the childish, slanderous attacks on “bitter apostates”.
I’ll bet that World Religion News’ readers would get a kick out of those! However, I notice that if one goes to FreedomMag’s website today and clicks on “other issues”, those issues are no longer available. I guess that it finally dawned on DM that their FreedomMag web site was a foot-bullet machine gun. Now that’s a first! But give him time…..he can’t restrain himself.
Well Espiritu, I don’t think you can get busted for reprinting something from freedom, as opposed to coming up with something EPIC. Henry
Oh wow Mike! How do you wade through all that drivel?
It makes my eyes water and reaching for the antacid is now a natural reaction to any serious read of miscavige’s verbiage either written, spoken, implied or otherwise.
Miscavige has the somewhat unenviable mantle of being recognised as a pathological liar to anyone of intelligence and having the ability to observe the difference between two files crawling up a window, one is on the left and one is on the right. Being a scientologist is nothing to proud of that’s for sure and their PR would better suit Ivan the Terrible near the end of his reign.
This latest exposure doesn’t make any sense. Advertising scientology in a religious publication is akin to recruiting for ISIS in a Texas bar. No one apart from another scientologist at best is ever going to listen and you had better duck for cover from anyone else. Scientology’s PR has now reduced to “targeting other religions?” Boy they must really be short of people to talk to.
Scientology advertising/statements about themselves… It’s the same regurgitation over and over, yuck!
Curiosity took the best of me and I played one of the PR
videos DM put out to counter the “Going Clear” film. Same
thing as the ideal orgs was said about the “Int” compound,
in other words it’s so big and beautiful and and everything
is catering to every need of a staff member with picture after
picture of what they called “Club Med” standards. The only
little detail they left out was that all these luxury facilities can
only be used by DM. Anybody that has been at Int knows
all this but not the sheeple. Soooooo many lies.
You would be treated better in a small little backwards village
in Mexico than at Int. maybe a bad comparison but I had
Thrump on my mind.
Gone are the days of crossing paths with Shelly on the Par Course when Dave was in LA.
Right now, the only difference between Clearwater and Pyongyang is that the weather in Pyongyang is better. Seriously, the last few days here have been utter hell. Temp and humidity in the 90s is not the environment for a guy who had a tube in his chest two weeks ago to drain fluid out of his lungs.
Fuck L. Fraud. Since the Scilons landed in Clamwater, they should have been worshipping Willis Carrier.
Oh, yeah, OSA, one day left on my special offer. That’s all you have left to Confront and Shatter, because your DSA in Chicago can’t do it. I’d just tell her that I had sex with her husband in a restroom at Millennium Park when he was playing spai on Anon during our protests.
I believe that would do it, Espi!
She probably knows already.
This World Religion News site is too much…it includes this:
SCIENTOLOGY LEADER DAVID MISCAVIGE: FIRST-EVER NETWORK TV INTERVIEW
http://www.worldreligionnews.com/religion-news/scientology/first-ever-network-tv-interview-with-scientology-leader-david-miscavige
And includes the full transcript of Ted Koppel’s 1992 interview with DM. Which contains this baldfaced lie about a passage from a SHSBC tape:
Mr. MISCAVIGE: – [crosstalk] …talk about the Van Allen Belt or whatever is that that forms no part of current Scientology, none whatsoever.
They neglect to mention that not only was this DM’s first TV interview – but his ONLY TV interview. Nor do they mention the introduction to this interview with a Xenu cartoon detailing the OTIII story.
It includes this kicker – POSTED BY WRN EDITORIAL STAFF
Yeah, right.
Has anyone gone to http://www.worldreligionnews.com/ ? This site has covert OSA intel ops written all over it. Gross.
Hi statpush,Oh joy just what I needed and wanted Pack of Rats’ Web Site! Always Ann B.
It isn’t an OSA site. Just a site concentrating on religion that needs $ to keep in operation.
Hi John Locke,Yes maybe it is just a site about religion, but I know The Rats wears many shades of black in their wardrobes,Rat Shape Shifters I never know when they’ll gnaw their way to me.Always,Ann B.
Hi LDW, I like your post.Thinking about silently slipping away, one by one means less bodies to man the posts around the world of the fastest shrinking religion on,the planet.David Miscavige are you going to check out on a plane, boat, train, one of your many cars & motorcycles.I do not envy you at all and the money you have amassed is blood money to me.The figurative and literal blood of all those you and this cult harmed and left by the side of the road.Always Ann B.
No amount of over-the-top embarrassing puff pieces can help miscavige now. One by one his minions are looking around their own org and the thought, “this isn’t working” is growing louder than their ability to stop it.
One by one, they are waking up from the thrall and silently slipping away.
The article says one of the projects was an:
“Investigative effort to track down all of Mr. Hubbards written and recorded works.ultimately found in far flung parts of the world, dark corners and forgotten basements and everywhere in between”.
Which is kind of funny because LRH said that there is no hidden data line and that all policy and tech are to be found in the tech (HCOB’s) and policy letters (HCOPL’s). But in actual fact, I guess LRH went around and stashed all the important stuff around the globe like a scavenger hunt. What a coo coo crazy prankster he was huh?
Hi Overun in California,Crazy prankster for sure. But when I read the quote about finding Ron’s stuff “in far flung parts of the world and forgotten basements ” I said OK someone has been reading Ron’s fiction tomes, that sentence is so Ron, forever spinning the golden thread of his fantasies.Always Ann B.
Sure does, doesn’t it? Well you know, “What would Ron do?”
Hi Overun in California,Loved your post. What Would Ron Do.Creepy and is the way his mind would run.All about him all the time on all channels.Always enjoy your posts. Ann B.
This is identical to an article submitted to Patheos’ “Future of Faith in America” series two days prior, which quickly became the epicenter of a 1,000-post comment thread featuring the infamous entheta-fighting OSA duo of Elle and In Fine Fettle. Looks like Linda Wieland quickly realized she should put her piece of hagiography up somewhere that doesn’t have a public comments section.
The question is. To be a Kim Jong Un noodle…or a David Miscavige semi-colon? I will play with various cock-ups, er, mock-ups…as I stroll down Hollywood Boulevard…
Hi Mark,Good to meet you, Long may you stroll the old Blvd. One time I came back on the city bus to the Hollywood Inn from Temple st 3:30AM no one on the bus but me and a wild eyed skinny guy. When I got off he jumped up behind me and as the bus roared away I realized a gigantic knife had pieced my shirt and was pressed into my back. Not another soul anywhere I knew I had to get away immediately if I was going to live.I was being pushed towards a little restaraut called then Foods of the World or something similar. It had a very bright spinning neon globe on top.I stopped said loudly omg look at that the second he looked up Ijerked away and ran in a zig zag pattern up all the little side streets to the Inn.So scary but just another night in the Sea Org I can laugh about it now being out is wonderful.Ann B.
Good morning Ann, I think I haven’t been away long enough. I am still angered by the treatment that the most dedicated people were made to endure. I was on a project years and years ago where we were documenting the amount of cash that was on board ship, who had control of the money and how it could be spent. While you didn’t specify the year this happened I can assure you, if it were anytime after 1968 there was enough money to keep full time drivers just for staff 24/7. As has been stated elsewhere, Gratitude, it’s under G in the dictionary. If no one else has mentioned it, thanks Ann. Henry (sorry for the highjack)
Hi Henry James,Thank you so much for your post.I am still very hurt and angry about the treatment I received when I was in Sea Org Asho Fdn.It was not just me or the physical and mental situations that I was put into.My emotion is for those who lost their life, their children, their sanity ,their money all for what?I gave my soul to Ron and he shredded it to his specifications and twisted viewpoint as does David.Finding this blog and being able to finally post all my story and even better being able to post with all you Angels, and reading all you say even if I do not always agree with all posts,it has helped me immensely start to heal. The year of the bus incident was 1974,and the only other drivers I had that were not city bus drivers would be a Sea Org member who drove us to the Excalibur in a closed box rental truck and it was 90+ degrees in the back and whenever the brakes were used we all went flying and slammed against the walls.I blew in 78 after months of handling by the Guardian’s Office Intel and when I had to run barefoot in Griffith Park before sun up,their version of the Sweat Program I had the “pleasure” of riding with whoever spy rat drove me.I am filled with gratitude that a warning spotlight cut into my KoolAid addled brain and said stay you will die,get out.And so I did.Ripped my heart out because I had totally loved The Sea Org and had read only Dianetics before I joined.Blowing was as if I had sawed my heart into pieces, but it was the only way out of Ron’s World.I enjoy all your posts.Always Ann B.
I think the Most Influentials Americans list is lacking some Very Important People:
Pablo Escobar (Colombian)
Joaquin Guzman (Mexican)
David Miskiewicz (Channel to LRH)
Et al.
Dave,
Yesterday, Federal Agents conducted a raid in your back yard. The Palm Springs mayor’s office and his personal residence files were raided at the behest of the Inland Empire Corruption Task Force. It has something to do with unsavory Real Estate dealings.
Have you recently conducted a sweep of your office, Building 50 and the rest of the base to shred incriminating information about you? You may be next on the Federal Agents’ list.
Perhaps you can redeem yourself by appearing on the top rated Kelly File to rebut Mike’s expose of you.
BTW, your lackies at your ‘Information Center’ (Test Center) on Hollywood Boulevard have retreated from the sidewalks to hide behind the reception desk inside the door, behind book displays in the front windows and behind paper covered windows all around the building.
Hi threefeetbsck,Amazing thank you for the picture of that Test Center on Hollywood Blvd.Retreat from the side walks?I’m old and sometimes cranky but I think I was at Asho during the best of times 1974 etc.At least in terms of a booming Org and never any reason to paper over windows and hiding behind a book display would have sent me trotting off to Ethics! So enjoy your posts Always Ann B
Dave may be experiencing a spike in process servers, maybe straight up and vertical.
This is all about scientology hawking its wares in one of the few low markets left to it. There’s an undeniable humor here when you consider scientology’s stated aim is to create a worldwide UTOPIA by the mere transformation of the ENTIRE human race. And that’s just for starters. The universe beckons…
Hi Roger Hornaday, And as you and I know, the Universe is going to be beckoning for infinite eternity, because the train wreck that is this cult will never be able to clear the planet let alone this universe. To think so many years ago clearing the planet and putting ethics in on the Universe was carved into my heart.I know now that will not happen because then the scam con game lie game would be over.No more paying public if all are OTed to the max. What then will David sell plots on Target2?Love U Ann B.

Was strolling past Flag recently on a beautiful summer day and just very innocently went close to the window to see if anything was happening and peered through the window.
Out of nowhere a security guard is standing right next to me and says rather rudely, “What are you doing?!! This is private property!!!
FRIENDLIEST PLACE ON EARTH! Right!
You’re my hero, Joe! I just wish I could have been with you. Question: Were you on the sidewalk?
Hey Dude, Yeah, on the sidewalk. As I said very innocently just being curious. They’re wound a little tight these days I guess, he he he he he.
Check this out…They’re body routing using these really cute Babologists in downtown Clearwater trying to get you to go see their Potemkin Village buildings. Absolutely deserted as I walked by.
Hey Joe, if you were on the sidewalk, how could they say you were on private property? Do they consider a public sidewalk their property? I guess that’s a rhetorical question.
So…they’re now resorting to cute cult babes for the very aptly named, Potemkin Village buildings? Well, everything else has failed so I’m not surprised. And you say it was deserted as you walked by? I’m shocked! Shocked I tell ya! Who would have thunk it…
Good on ya’ Joe. When I’m stuck in traffic in front of the FH garage door I always give ’em the finger. Hope the camera at the entrance picks it up.
Thank you Mike for spending the time to report this information. It is enlightening to have this data presented to us. Just for snicks I looked up the statement about dead el Ron being reported as one of the 100 most influential Americans in the USA. Sure enough, Charles Manson and other gangsters are all on the list. Here is the link.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2845448/Abraham-Lincoln-Muhammad-Ali-Bill-Gates-Charles-Manson-horse-Smithsonian-compiles-list-100-influential-Americans-algorithm-using-Wikipedia-pages.html
Every day the number of ex-Scientologists grows larger and larger with the general public becoming more aware of Scientology’s abhorrent behavior and practices. Thank you for all you are doing and may it soon put an end to what the wee one is doing.
Scientology, Dianetics, LRH, David Miscavige. All our IRREVOCABLY and forever poisonous names/terms. Forget sticking forks in. These are already composted.
“he’s dead Jim”.
“These are already composted.” Hey, John! Do you think they might come back as Zombies? I mean, it’s a good fit!
I’m not convin ced at all that it was “unprecedented”, Mike… the fabric started on may 1950. Never stopped later. One new lie trying to hide the precedent!
Our “churches” have:
– public information centers
– lots of informational videos
– some videos available on the internet
– 19 free on-line courses
This must sound to the readership of World Religion News (whoever they are) like the goofiest goofball religion that ever advertised.
People don’t want “information” from their religions. That’s what they have Wikipedia for. What people want from their religion is a) eternal salvation or b) escape from death or c) meaning in their life or d) moral authority or e) damnation of their enemies or f) absolution of their sins or etc.
Mike, thanks for the North Korea comparisons. They are so spot-on that I just about fell out of my chair. NK comparisons never get old.
Oh, the comparison is completely spot on! As I’ve said many times, if the cult was a country, it would be North Korea. COP would feel right at home there. I wonder if he’s exchanging emails with Kim Jong-un?
Kim Jong-un: Hey Daivd, how many people do you have in the Hole?
COP: I’ve got all of my execs locked up there. They’re all criminals. How about you? How many people did you kill this week?
Kim Jong-un: Only 5. But one guy was killed with anti-aircraft rounds. His body disappeared right in front of us! LOL!!!!!!!!
COP: Man, I sure wish I could do that, but, they REALLY frown on that type of behavior in the U.S.
Kim Jong-un: You’re a wussy! And…I’m taller than you!!!!
Kim Jong-Un also wins the swiss cheese eating contest.
Brutal! But funny!
World Religious News would be better served with
a picture of Scrooge MC Duck skiing down a mountain of money
in his money vault.!!!!!!!
Hey, wait a minute, Jose. I thought that picture of Scrooge McDuck skiing down the mountain of money in his money vault, WAS the cover of World Religious News! You’re saying it wasn’t? I mean is seems completely appropriate.
To tell the general public that Scientology is expanding is like alerting them that a social disease is spreading. It doesn’t impress them, it alarms them. The PR of Scientology is terrible and it will continue to get worse as their crimes and insanity continue to get exposed. Jim Jones, Charles Manson, David Miscavige – these are names that will go down in history together in the category of demented cult leaders.
Right! “Scientology Expanding! Run!”
I wonder if David Miscavige has heard of The Information Age.
You know, Mary, I’m surprised they haven’t changed the, “We have expanded more in the last 10 years than in the last 50 years,” to “We have expanded more in the last 10 years than the last 30,000 years” Remember, Hubbard said that right around that time, BTs were attaching themselves to early humans. Hang on a sec, Mary. One of my BTs is arguing with me. Its saying it was 35,000 years ago. Hey, I guess he would know…
I suspect that “World Religion News” is either a Scientology front or a cooperative with other groups like the Moonies. There’s only a little covering fluff on mainstream groups, and they only issue press releases of their “stories” on Scientology articles.
The site popped out of nowhere with no traceable information on who’s running it.
Wikipedia has this to say: The page “World Religion News” does not exist. Kind of says it all, yes? LOL
“World Religion News” does not exist? Seriously? Well, that’s fine by me as I’ve never subscribed to any of them.
‘World Religion News’ is neither ‘world’,’religion’ or ‘news’. It is a prweb type of self publishing scam that can only be called a vanity press for cults. It popped out of nowhere 6-8 months ago and rarely has any ‘stories’ about any group but $cientology.
I and many others keep calling $cientology a Potemkin village. It really isn’t, it is PyongYang with even nastier police and a little less of the death camp. Death is bad for business, you can’t pay for those forever sec checks if you’re dead. Now where is the kimchi?
Hi zemooo,Your post was really compelling. The nastier police line sure resonated with me.Can we add kimchi to the list of food & drink that the promo pieces put out for the clams whales & celebs- no TC gets special orders.Nothing against Korean food,it’s very good it is just the similarities between PyongYang and cos. That web site is extreme fluff at best, who wants to read nothing but good stories about Scientology I guess those invisible masses trudging forever up & down the warped broken bridge.Laughter.Always Ann B.
