Over the past couple of weeks we have watched Miscavige go to war with Winter the dolphin.
What has been amazing is the breathtaking hypocrisy they have put on display for all the world to witness.
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA), home to Winter of the Dolphin Tale movies, is a highly regarded, completely transparent non-profit organization that does wonderful work rescuing marine wildlife (like Winter), but also supports children and other programs. The CMA is the single biggest draw for tourists to Clearwater outside of “the beach.”
Miscavige, as is his style, threw a hissy fit because the CMA and its Director did not agree to sell him a piece of land he coveted. He wanted it to to keep the “wogs” away — though he claimed it was to build a swimming pool. If the Oak Cove really needs a pool – build one in the parking lot as there are never any cars parked there anyway.
Miscavige’s personal attack/lap dog, Muffins Yingling, sent a letter to try to prevent the County allocating some of its tourist tax income to upgrade the Aquarium in an act of pure vindictiveness. That money is NEVER going to scientology which is the ANTI-tourism kryptonite of Clearwater — though they do contribute to it with taxes paid on hotel rooms they rent.
What was SO insane about Miscavige’s attack was not just how inaccurate it was, but what he chose as his targets:
Muffins accused the CMA of having the “stench of commerciality” pervading its operations. Of course, scientology is the exempt organization calling itself a religion that offers numerous courses, seminars and briefings on “how to make money” and “be prosperous”, that has a detailed price list and discounts for every last item and “service” they offer, that does not return any funds paid in advance for services never taken and that offers ever-increasingly absurd “statuses” to those who hand over tens of millions of dollars to them for NOTHING in exchange.
They also complain that the head of the CMA is “over compensated” — though refuse to answer how much Miscavige makes. And even his direct salary would not reflect his real compensation unless it included the value of the unpaid slaves who wait on him hand and foot, his handmade shoes and suits, living facilities, extravagant meals, vehicles etc. The CMA is run by a pauper in comparison to Miscavige.
They also paid some climate change-denier at the local university to claim the CMA misled the public with their economic impact studies. That is especially rich when scientology touted their own economic impact study which was based ENTIRELY on their OWN figures.
L. Ron Hubbard wrote about what he called the “Criminal Mind” — criminals accuse others of doing what they are doing. How prophetic.
The CMA responded to these claims and you can read their dignified and compelling response here.
A lot of what I say above I have said before in posts and on Facebook and Twitter. It bears repeating but it really serves as an introduction to this new item that one of our Special Correspondents sent in.
Once again, the astonishing hypocrisy of scientology.
This is the latest pitch from the IAS about the dire need to hand over your money so they can do something about human rights abuses. As always, they toss out alarming figures like 150 million caught in child labor and 27 million victims of human trafficking. As if the IAS is doing anything about this. Or will do anything about this.
What is most galling about receiving this is that scientology is, in the US at least, one of the worst institution offenders when it comes to child labor and human trafficking.
The number of people who have reached out to Leah and me after Scientology The Aftermath aired who are telling us of their horrendous experiences is both overwhelming and also proof that there is a very widespread pattern of abuse in the organization. While we are dealing with the very real aftermath of child labor violations, sexual abuse and human trafficking, these people are brazenly pretending to need money to do something about the problem.
The problem is scientology and the policy/”tech” it is bound to follow. The IAS doesn’t need any money to put an end to this systemic and widespread abuse. It is happening right under their noses, in the SAME BUILDINGS they work in.
This is a criminal organization through and through that presents a false face to the world by pretending to be against the very things it perpetrates.

They are true hypocrites. As I trust you know the church announces to world daily “Psychiatry Kills” “Psychiatry is Evil” “Stamp Out Psychiatry”. Yet, when I went into a Church of Scientology to inquire about money still on my account that I had an invoice for, I was jumped by 2 church goons, the police were called, and the church begged the police to recommend a “psychiatric help option” for me. Does that beat all? According to the church I am supposed to be a terrorist, a sexual pervert, a wanted criminal, a gigolo, you name it. I am not impressed and have never gotten psychiatric help and it was never offered by the hospital staff I saw in New York the afternoon I was jumped for ASKING HOW MUCH WAS ON MY ACCOUNT. 🙂
WhatAreYourCrimes says
Yes the hypocrisy of scientology would be comical to the world if not for the suffering of its victims. The scientology front groups that pretend to ease the suffering of the poor and mistrodden make a sickening mockery of those poor sleep-deprived and tortured SeaOrg members.
I can not wait to see this crumbling institution finally fall, and its leadership in handcuffs. It is inevitable at this point, so to all you current members, get out now while the getting is good. And remember, the whistleblowers and RICO State witnesses are treated far better than the ringleaders. Miscavige must be so paranoid and freaking out by this stage in the game. Everyone around him is a potential danger and threat to his collapsing world.
Dawn says
Your summation is spot on, Mike. Thanks for this article.
Dawn says
The advantage of Miscavige showing his true colours to the Clearwater Council/whomever like that is that he’s cooked his goose. He can’t expect any favours or sympathy to any of his suggestions again. So short sighted.
His eye-sight match his height? Heh, heh.
Barbet says
I apologize as my question is totally off topic. Miscaviage is 5’1″? Is that true?
That’s like a 9th grade boy. No wonder he quit school…kids would have merciless…girls would be Amazonians compared to him- gee, when he was in 9th grade he would have been like 4’5″?
thegman77 says
He’s been described as being 4’13”. Along with his height, his sense of integrity was also stunted long ago. He’s truly a sad example of humanity.
Aquamarine says
Miscavige’s height is of no consequence. A man’s physical height is not the measure of him. We ridicule Miscavige about his height because we hate HIM, and that’s okay. He’s a disgusting, evil being, a sociopath, for starters. That said, I’ve had the good fortune to have known several short men who were giants to me. They were big men because they were not only smart and capable and successful but they also loved and cared and respected and took care of people. They were big men; they towered over us, in a very good way.
Joetheta says
Well said Aquamarine. His height has nothing to do with his actions.Even his father said he was a scrappy kid,who never backed down from a fight.
It makes no difference if he is 5’1,or 7’1.
David Miscavaige is a vial ,evil person, that needs to be stopped.
WhatAreYourCrimes says
You are correct Aquamarine. His height isn’t his problem. His other shortcomings as a decent human are his problems.
L Yash says
The greatness of man is not measured by his height, but intelligence and moral character
Bitemark says
It’s true. All the photos of him looming over podiums create the illusion of height.
This is one big reason why he never appears on camera unless its staged by Golden Era Productions.
Aquamarine says
When Meryl Streep had to play Julia Child in “Julie and Julia” the challenge was to make her appear tall and very robust. Julia Child was a large, big-boned 6’2″ female; Meryl Streep is small boned and 5’6″. So they got Stanley Tucci to play her husband and the rest of the cast were very short, petite people also. In the film she appeared to tower, hulk-like over all of them, so you can imagine how tiny they were. This is just one example of a very old Hollywood trick.
Aquamarine says
The problem for anyone directing Miscavige’s events is finding any adult to stand near him who is shorter than he is. And no wonder he doesn’t want to be the one handing out awards as just about everyone would be taller.
L Yash says
IS THAT WHY NO ONE “LOOKS UP” TO HIM?????
George M. White says
“Once again, the astonishing hypocrisy of scientology.”
Yes, and Miscavige went overboard on this rant. The people of Clearwater now see the truth and there are many options.
In a sense, Muffins wrote about “Truth Revealed” in regard to Miscavige and Scientology. The Truth Revealed is the demonic nature of Scientology, period.
From the old Occult books: Absence of virtue leads to demonic tendencies. So
Hubbard intended hypocrisy all along.
Brian says
Hey Bro. George!
Glad to see you round these parts:-)
I don’t think Hubbard knew he was a hypocrite. I think he and all of those who dabble in the dark arts have one commanding principle: ( I know you know this already).
Will over spiritual law.
Will over conscience.
Will over decency.
The desire for power for power’s sake
The desire to control
The desire and implementation of the destruction of real or imagined enemies
I believe that the real L Ron Hubbard is revealed in his sled authored affirmations found in his Chest of Truth that Gerry Armstrong found.
What is an affirmation? An affirmation is a statement. A statement of a desired value. An affirmation is a conscious practice of concentrating the mind and will on the repetition of an idea that a person wants to attain. Wants to manifest.
If I affirm everyday that I am a positive person and a healthy person, what does that tell you about me?
It tells you that being positive and healthy are principles, values and realities that I want mastery over. That I want these traits in my life and part of my personality.
Here are a few of the values and principles that L Ron Hubbard wanted part of his personality. The fact that he practiced these proves this is who he was in truth:
ON SEX:
“Many women are not capable of pleasure in sex and anything adverse they say or do has no effect whatever on your (Ron’s) pleasure.
“You (Ron) have no fear if they conceive, What if they do? You do not care. Pour into them and let fate decide”
“……..Lord help women when you begin to fondle them. You are master of their bodies, master of their souls as you may consciously wish. You (Ron) have no karma to pay for these acts………….. Singing to them, for you sing like a master, destroys their will to resist………….
ON INFLUENCE OVER PEOPLE:
“Your psychology is advanced and true and wonderful. It hypnotizes people. That predicts their emotions, for you are their ruler”.
“Material things are yours for the asking. MEN ARE YOUR SLAVES”.
“That this hypnosis (Ron affirming) will not fade, but will increase with power as time advances”.
ON LYING:
“No matter what lies you may tell others they have no physical effect on you of any kind”
(Here he is acknowledging that he he predisposed to lying)
ON THE POWER TO MANIPULATE WITH WORDS:
………” Your authority over words is absolute. You are a grand master of words and you can do with them as you will. YOU KNOW WHAT THEY MEAN TO OTHERS. YOU KNOW HOW THEIR MEANINGS………… AFFECT OTHERS……”
ON OCCULTISM AND DABBLING IN UNSEEN FORCES:
“Ability to drop into a trance state at will”
“You can do automatic writing whenever you wish. You do not care what comes out on paper when your Guardian dictates”. (The Guardian is Ron’s metaphysical being that he pays homage to).
“You cannot think a fact into actuality. You can will a fact into being with ease. You are confident over your control of others.”
“You use the minds of men. They cannot use your mind or affect it in any way.”
AND CHECK THIS ONE OUT……………….THIS IS THE ESSENCE OF RON’S LUNACY REGARDING CRITICISM:
“You have a sacred spiritual mind, too strong, too high to be touched. Your league with Higher Beings, your mighty Guardian and the All Powerful, RENDERS YOU BEYOND ALL HUMAN CRITICISM.
L Ron Hubbard affirmed to be beyond all criticism. This is an idea from a madman. How can someone desire to NEVER be criticized?
I’ll tell you. First he created an army of slaves; an affirmation. Used words to influence people by manipulating their definition and creating his own language which was geared to being hypnotically in control of people to acquire money, power and influence.
AND FINALLY, HIS AFFIRMATION OF NO CRITICISM, WHICH HE IMPLEMENTED INTO CHURCH DOGMA,FOUND FULFILLMENT IN MIKE’S UNPARRELLED POST BELOW.
https://www.mikerindersblog.org/dealing-with-critics-of-scientology-the-l-ron-hubbard-playbook/
As a person, these affirmations are the truest representation of the real Ron, not the lies of marketed false PR of a Buddha.
They are the revelations of someone with a demonic nature. End of story.
George M. White says
Hi Brian!
“They are the revelations of someone with a demonic nature. End of story.”
Hubbard was demonic. I see that clearly. This Hubbard did do a lot of damage. I was always too proud to admit that he damaged me. As the years roll, I look at Hubbard and see the deception. My path away from Hubbard was probably unique. I had to see him as an historical figure before I could totally drop him. It is funny how that works. I know a lot of people who just said “The man was a fraud” and they moved on without a word. In my particular situation, it was different.Hubbard put layer upon layer of BS all over me. I had to undo Scientology and then find my own new path. Once that was accomplished I could breathe easier. But the layers in my mind were subtle magic.Hubbard had me all twisted up when I did OT VIII. That level was the biggest load of garbage ever invented. But he had me with his slick ship and his Sea Org uniforms.
Hubbard screwed up more than half of my life. When I started to read the Occult, I could see how Hubbard took the path of the demonic. It it so easy to do as you read about magic. I felt myself falling into Hubbard’s actual thought patterns. He willingly allowed himself to go deeper and deeper into the Occult. As a matter of fact, he tended to go into the dark side of the Occult, not the path of virtue. Hubbard was an ignorant man who read a few books and went into alternative religion.
I am very, very fortunate that my family is intact and has not been split by Scientology. I made sure of that.
it feels great to be able to walk free and look down on a small Hubbard. When I go back to 1972, I always remember the moment when I decided to trust Hubbard. What a mistake!!! It turned out that I was at least ten times more intelligent than Hubbard.
Hubbard’s affirmations are the work of a madman. We all suffered because he pulled in some extra cash in the early early years and was able to avoid real work or a job. I always think of Hubbard now on Halloween when I see an empty pumpkin with a smile.
Brian says
Hey George, I know what you mean regarding getting him out of our mental construct.
I believed in him too. When I read Hymn of Asia I believed him to be the prophet of the Buddha. That one short deceptive prose clinched the deal for me.
This man actually posed as a Buddha for financial gain. Lol! That’s gotta be some funky assed karma heading his way when the conditions are ripe.
I find very deep hidden impressions sometimes with Ron’s name on them.
I started putting myself into this trap when I was 17. My young brain was still forming when I bought into the lie.
To me Ron’s lie wasn’t the fact that he was selling spiritual growth. Spiritual growth, conscious spiritual growth, was always a reality for me. I came in hard wired with the desire.
Ron’s lie was that he consciously knew he was deceiving us. He not only knew he was deceiving us, he knew enough about the mind, hypnotism and occultism to be expert at controlling.
There are fakirs in India that do all manner of magic tricks fir money. Some are fake but I have heard some are yogis that seek power.
These lower class of Yogi manipulate people’s psychology in order to relieve them of their money.
Those who have dumped the whole spiritual thing you don’t have to read this next line or even agree with me.
When I conceive the thought that L Ron Hubbard was a creature on the dark side he makes sense to me.
He put a spell on his students with his cocain infused Philadelphia Doctorate course.
When we use to listen to him or watch him standing on stage, talking words like stream of consciousness; he was riveting and compelling.
I now believe a lot of Hubbard’s words came from him being stoned on speed, cocain and maybe acid.
If I recall properly, I was friends with John Sanborn in early eighties after we all blew.
John Sanborn may have told me that Hubbard was on acid when he wrote Hymn of Asia.
Hell, I remember what is was like to be blasted of hallucinogens. Give me a pen and a good shamanic journey and I could probably come up with amazing stuff.
L Ron Hubbard was a low quality of soul. He did not feel when he hurt others. He taught his students how to attack and hurt others.
So what is the word that defines a person whose conscience is not in tack?
A person who has no feeling for causing others suffering?
A person who makes it your fault for him punishing you?
Ron was deep into the metaphysical negative doo doo ?
George M. White says
Well written, Bro.
“A person who has no feeling for causing others suffering?
A person who makes it your fault for him punishing you?
Ron was deep into the metaphysical negative doo doo ?”
You hit the heart of the matter in the above statement. The interesting point is that he got away with the Buddha personality even though he was the opposite of the principle. I know you reject that he did think he was a hypocrite, but that was part of his delusion.
When I reached OT VIII on the Freewinds, Hubbard took his statements about the Buddha to a new level. Hubbard was going beyond Hymn of Asia. Hubbard was claiming ownership of the entire religious tradition on planet earth. He was full of contradictions yet confident that he would be followed. When I first read it, I saw the obvious flaw and rejected him. However, a few minutes later I decided to give him another chance by re-thinking the logic. But Hubbard still had no way out at this point. One had to surrender to his logic or reject it. This might slightly be like St Francis deciding to follow God’s path in total faith. For me it would have been the ultimate bond to the cult. You put aside what you know to be true, for Hubbard. What raced in my mind were his basic definitions of theta and the thetan. He copied them them from others formed his Axioms and never got it right. He really never worked out the truth; he just put something there that made him proud. He personalized religion thus no compassion and he could cause suffering and watch it in others like a true sadist.
Cece says
Sheesh you guys. Great conversation. We’ve all come along way eh?
A major relief for me once I knew for sure he was a mad man is that I never would need to study all his literature and I then understood why I had such a problem understanding most of it. My poor word clearers.
All so major was like George said, I knew I was smarter and wiser then him 🙂
Yes, I want everyone to have these wins 🙂

“I believe that the real L Ron Hubbard is revealed in his sled authored affirmations found in his Chest of Truth that Gerry Armstrong found. ”
I do too, but for those who might remain unconvinced, for whatever reasons, all one need do is to examine closely the absolute, utter and extreme destruction he wreaked on his own closest family…from Polly and Nibs, to his grandchildren, all of them either neglected and abandoned or outright destroyed. In his own image, he created a faux religion that carries on that same evil legacy to this day, through their doctrines of forced disconnection, SP Declare and Fair Game.
It’s easy to discount words, especially if you’re of a mind too, but actions…well, that’s another story entirely. Photo shopping Elron’s second wife out of pics isn’t going to make her go away, and coming up with forged military records won’t make Elron a war hero either, but the cult just keeps on trying to spin those tall tales. Fortunately, enough primary source-based research has been done by respected investigators to establish the actual facts of his life, which I’m certain will be what’s preserved in the historical record long after this killer cult’s final collapse…let it be soon, praise Xenu!
Brian says
I am hoping that this next season Aftermath really reveals the darkness of this man.
He wasn’t simply a human being with flaws like the rest of us. That is such bs when apologists say,”oh yeah, Ron had faults, he was only human.”
Ron was not a normal human. What other human do you know who creates a navy to avoid justice and taxes?
BTW Harpoona it’s “self authored” not “sled authored.” Spell correction is a blessing and a curse.
Well……. non editing is the cause. Gotta edit better.

Spike says
Perhaps a poor choice of words on my part.
Brian says
Do you have any ideas to convey Spike?
The word crap does not convey much except condemnation.
So what are your thoughts behind the word crap?
Spike says
Hello Brian
I’ve been visiting this blog for 4 months. As someone who had good wins / case gain some decades ago, I probably am better off not saying too much here, as what I think and feel does not seem aligned with the majority of people here. I applaud anyone who is working to ‘free’ people from the grip of the C of S as I can see that things have been sliding down for a long time. I was unaware that this had gotten so bad.
I’ve done a lot of digging recently, visited a lot of sites in the field, and this has brought some items into sharp focus for me. It is quite clear that LRH, in his later years, suffered from dementia. I am not keen on the LRH bashing that goes on within this blog. He is not here to defend himself. Having a experienced a close family member go through dementia at the end of his life, I can tell you for certain that they will say things that are essentially meaningless while in this condition.
The quotes that you provided, that LRH supposedly said, I have never seen in his works or heard in any of his lectures, and I studied quite a bit, back in the day. There were no references provided for these supposed things he said.
My personal philosophy is that one should be positive in their outlook. Bashing LRH and the subject of Scientology, as differentiated from the C of S, is a waste of time and effort, in my opinion.
This is not particularly directed at you, Brian.
rogerHornaday says
Spike, you say it’s a waste of time to “bash” LRH. Are you referring to language that isn’t friendly and admiring toward Mr. Hubbard, but is instead critical and even condemnatory?
Apparently you think that sort of language toward him is inappropriate and a waste of time. Interestingly you concede he died in a demented state. That fact alone should call many things into serious question.
As you say, Mr. Hubbard isn’t here to defend himself (or to explain himself) but while he was alive he skillfully and successfully avoided defending himself. He was always on the run and in hiding. He cleverly avoided having to defend gaping holes in his cosmology by making criticisms of his ‘tech’ an overt act against mankind and all the ‘dynamics’.
Indeed, Mr. Hubbard didn’t believe in defending himself. His response was to attack. That might be a good military strategy but in the intellectual halls of scholarship, that just don’t wash.
Sorry, but your objection is crap. 🙂
rogerHornaday says
“Sorry, but this is crap.”
The conversational device of saying “sorry” then following it with an insult is a popular delivery system for contempt, especially among teens. I’m guessing Spike may not be very articulate or even analytical but is very much an authority on what he likes and what he doesn’t.
Spike says
Hey Roger – saying ‘sorry’ is very Canadian and often used to lessen what follows. BTW I’m female, not even close to being a teenager and I like that my comment sparked some conversation. Have a good one.
PeaceMaker says
Spike, I want to skip addressing the wins/gains you feel that you got from Scientology, and try to make a couple of quick notes in response to your other points. I’ve also been through a process of reviewing the subject and trying to come to terms with understanding Hubbard, and these are evidence and ideas that have been useful to me.
Yes, Hubbard may have deteriorated at the end. But I think you have to start out by looking at his dabbling in Aleister Crowley’s magick (google, or see George’s comments), and his Affirmations of the late 1940s (see Wikipedia – Scientology had to concede in court that they are authentic), as well as his son’s confirmation that those were indeed his underlying influences when Hubbard created Dianetics and Scientology (LRH, Jr. quotes in Barefaced Messiah and 1983 interview), and consider what that says about his real motivations and intents all along. Hubbard’s early horrendous treatment of his wives, children, and associates, and then further along the way things like the Manual of Justice and the Joburg sec check, The Responsibilities of Leaders and Simon Bolivar, cruelties like overboarding and putting children in the chain lockers while he was on the ships creating the Sea Org as a totalitarian force, all show that a real dark force lurked beneath the surface, even if it was less evident at times, and maybe even got worse at others (see, for instance, what Ken Uruhart concedes about all this, though he is still a Hubbard loyalist of sorts who may be unwilling to fully confront what he was party to). If you have any notion that somehow Hubbard went from good to bad, rather than just getting worse at the end, then you have to have some sort of very good explanation for all the things that I just cited. Hubbard said that he was the Antichrist or the Beast of Revelation (at multiple points including lectures and the first OT VIII, and, again, corroborated by LRH, Jr.), and that figure is also known as the Great Deceiver.
I’m also going to skip the issue of “bashing” Hubbard except to say that I’d agree that it goes too far, and can become unhealthy, at times. But if Hubbard really was a Crowleyan proto-Satanist, creating Dianetics and Scientology as a cynical ploy to lure people into enslaving themselves in support of his quest for power and wealth, then maybe a lot of the negativity is actually justified and possibly even necessary.
Spike says
Hi Peacemaker – thanks for your reference to the Affirmations. It seems to read a bit like a PC session. I do find it troubling that LRH was involved with out-2d, did not seem to have his ethics in with regard to finance, set a poor example in the ways you describe. I myself kept the influence of Scn away from my kids when I was raising them, particularly because of the craziness that I experienced in the 70s from regges. Back then, I and my friends in the outer orgs and missions considered Ron with deep respect. I’m speaking on behalf of the hundreds of people I came into contact with. The respect flowed from what he discovered and gave us.
I don’t know if we will ever know for sure what his motivations were, or even if that really matters at the end of the day. When I left LA behind in 1981, it was a sad day as I left a lifestyle and culture I haven’t seen since. I’m now seeing sparks of renaissance in the field which I find interesting. We’ll see what happens.
Brian says
Hey thanks Spike. Thanks for your views. The affirmations I presented were found in a trunk found by Gerry Armstrong.
You can google it, research it and come to your own conclusion.
There a some on this blog that agree with you regarding LRH bashing.
For me Spike it’s not so much bashing as it is an attempt to reverse the Ron instigated mind set that critics have criminal pasts, and that critics deserve punishment.
These doctrines of destroy critics were written way before his demise. So his mental problems in old age had nothing to do with it.
I do believe Spike that Ron’s mental state, as you have describe is Fair Game for criticism.
That is because he sold to us Total Freedom. Not partial freedom, or freedom only when you are young and healthy. He sold us eternal freedom. Cause over.
He sold that auditing cures everything. And the fact that you say he had dementia is proof that his claims were a lie.
If a person sells you a lie and gets thousands to believe it, spend money and devote your life to it, give up family to be part of it; that person is up for scrutiny and judgement. Mentally stable or not.
If Ron sold us the perfection of the bridge and he ended up demented, then Ron is up for scrutiny.
It has nothing to do with disrespecting an old demented man. It has to do with the freedom to investigate his claims.
And if in that investigation we find that his claims were misleading and false so that he had a steady flow of money; then it is a valid process to understand the true nature of the man.
Regarding the affirmations, you can find them on line.
Also watch any YouTube with Nibs, Ron’s son.
Have you read Piece of the Blue Sky, Madman or Messiah or Barefaced Messiah?
These are informative and will give you more info.
Thanks Spike for your reply.
BTW, I also got positive gain in auditing.
Spike says
Thanks Brian, I have read some of those books and watched some of the movies you mentioned.
I guess I’m not sure why there is so much focus on this, here on this blog.
I’m hoping for a rescue team to go into the hole and save people.
Anything that affects your family is definitely going to be terrible. It would kind of sour your reach for the subject in present time.
An interesting person to check out is Robin Sharma. He is very much about positive movement in a forward direction.
Anyway … thanks for your thoughts.
Brian says
And thank you for yours Spike. 🙂
marildi says
“I am not keen on the LRH bashing that goes on within this blog. He is not here to defend himself.”
Agreed, Spike. There is something obscene about the excessive bashing of LRH, no matter how it is justified.
(This is in reply to your later comment, which had no reply button.)
Brian says
I see the word bash as a destructive force.
If their is a car motor that is faulty and causing problems in my life, bashing it would be simply a frustrated attack of the motor.
Taking a hammer to the spark plugs, severing the timing belt with a saw etc.
That is bashing.
But looking at the faulty motor, taking it apart and studying what went wrong, or scrutinizing the original plans and judging the designers for a flawed design is not bashing the engine.
Bashing is a thoughtless task. Intelligent scrutiny requires thinking.
I have always chosen to scrutinize Ron’s assumptions and intent.
Bashing would be calling him names.
Scrutiny would be assessing his assumptions, intentions and the effects they have on people.
I believe you see intelligent scrutiny as bashing.
That’s where I think you are wrong Marildi.
Taking apart the engine to see why it’s broken is logic and reason.
Calling scrutiny bashing is an MU of the word scrutiny.
Spike says
Thanks for your thoughts, Marildi.
PeaceMaker says
marildi, and Spike, I have a couple of questions for you.
To begin with, Hubbard and Scientology take the position that Psychiatry can be labeled an unalloyed, harmful evil, and all its practitioners culpable and irredeemable, and thus to be opposed with great effort – without having to try it for oneself, look into it for oneself, or even know much about it except that Source said that was the enemy. So I’d like to point out that it’s hardly surprising that Scientologists, indoctrinated and trained in blind hate like that, may turn similarly on Scientology and even Hubbard himself when they leave, at least at first. Do you agree what that approach, and that broad assessment of the entire psychiatric and psychological profession and all its practitioners, which would include Sarge Gerbode and his Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR)?
And how would you suggest that Hubbard be treated, particularly by people who have determined that the evidence suggests that he did great harm, callously or even calculatedly – even if you would not go so far as to adopt that assessment, yourself? How then should we treat historical figures (Hubbard did want to “smash his name into history”) or those who holding themselves and their credentials out as lending credibility to their work (as Hubbard did with Dianetics and Scientology, and his organization continues to promote heavily) when they are “here to defend [themselves]?”
p.s. And let’s not forget that Hubbard also “bashed” many historical figures, who were not there to defend themselves – once again setting an example.
Spike says
Hey Peacemaker – I’ve been ‘out’ for thirty-five years, give or take. I suppose people can come to their own conclusions about Ron and the C of S. I for one am not going to dwell on it right now.
I was thinking tonight, it was cool making connections with people with whom I have something in common. Maybe you can tell me why so many people on this blog seem so stuck in ridicule, of the topics at hand. That is spiritually very unhealthy (in my opinion). This seems to change little.
Wouldn’t it be cool, as a group on this blog, to do something different for a change. Something creative, or useful. We could start Go Fund Me accounts for various things, as one example. Animal Aid Unlimited in India is a good cause, see their Facebook page.
What do you think?
Also, I bet a lot of people on this blog are artists and musicians, writers, etc. How about reaching out to each other in this way?

Spike: “Maybe you can tell me why so many people on this blog seem so stuck in ridicule, of the topics at hand. That is spiritually very unhealthy (in my opinion). This seems to change little.”
My observations too. On the point about it being spiritually unhealthy, here’s a quote from one spiritual teacher about forgiveness:
“Forgiveness is both a preparation and an end in spiritual life, a theme we return to many times. To forgive we must fact the pain and sorrow of our betrayal and disappointment, and discover the movement of heart that opens to forgive in spite of it all….
“Our process of forgiveness may include speaking out and seeking justice, but in the end it is also a compassionate letting go, for our own sake as much as for others. It is like the meeting of two former prisoners of war: When one asked ‘Have you forgiven your former captors?’ the other replied, “no, never.” The first ex-prisoner looked with kindness at his friend and said, ‘Well, then they still have you in prison, don’t they.’”

I say let the ghost of LRH dragging a ball and chain, present a petition written in his own blood, to be signed by every person he has infected with his nonsensical philosophy, calling for his release from the lower condition of “hellfire”. And let those who sign it, do so with disappearing ink!
marildi, I’m afraid that’s the best I can do but it does show I’m trying, right?

(rewrite of a comment that apparently was lost)
Spike, thanks for your responses to my comments, I really appreciate hearing from you.
It sounds to me now like you are earnestly looking into things for yourself, and not particularly bound by old beliefs and assumptions (perhaps in part because of the passage of time, in comparison to others). If you are at a different point in your process, or have come to different conclusions based on evaluating the evidence, I can understand that.
As I’ve written a bit about at times, the Affirmations make sense to me in the context of what I know about techniques that Hubbard experimented with, including automatic writing and hypnosis. They are a calculated attempt to plant intentions in the subconscious, and not unthinking responses as from auditing, but we don’t need to go into that here.
And I particularly appreciate your sharing of your personal experience. I’m glad to hear that you were perceptive enough to get out, and keep your family out of Scientology. It’s particularly interesting for me to hear yet another witness confirm that things started getting bad at least as early as the 1970s (and real old timers with push it back to the 1960s, with the introduction of ethics) under Hubbard, which is something I only figured out in the last 6 months. I had enough previous knowledge and experience that I was always a bit wary, which kept me from getting too involved, but a lot of people who came along later seem set in the impression that things were all wonderful before the 1980s – and mistakenly assumed, that anything wrong had to do with Miscavige coming to power.
I knew of couple of the really old-time indies who I respected, and always had the hope that movement would really come into its own. But it seems to me that they aren’t really innovating, and are growing hardly if at all just because they get a stream of defectors from the CofS. And this is also where I think evaluating Hubbard’s intent is important, because that has implications for the whether anything can be salvaged from his work – if it was more focused on achieving control than freedom, whether through callous utility or even cynical intent, the negative elements may be so imbued in it that there is little to do other than start fresh. (that seems to be Marty Rathbun’s conclusion, and I think essentially also where a lot of old timers who now only do the basics of “book one” auditing are at, though I came to it on my own)
And I do agree that negativity can get out of hand, and hope you’ve noticed that I make some effort myself to constrain it.
A couple of other points, I’ll address in a comment to marildi.
Spike says
Thanks Peacemaker. The subject always was a two-edged sword. Great gains at times, versus craziness with debt and schedules and family pulling the other way. For people struggling to regain their lives, I hope there are mechanisms in place for when they first leave (the SO). After that … oddly enough I have found Facebook to be a great source of finding peace, as you can control what comes on your feed. Robin Sharma, Dalai Lama, Power of Positivity, etc. That together with staying active and involved with others. Being in a band. Sports.
If someone I loved were stuck in the church, it would drive me crazy (now I know what my parents went through, back in the day, for those years).
We can continue this at another time if you like. Thanks for all of this.
PeaceMaker says
marilidi, I think you may be getting at something with that quote about survivors – the problem is, if you fully draw out the analogy, the battle is still going on, and prisoners are still being held captive and abused. How is one supposed to “let go” in that situation, particularly when family and friends are still “missing in action”?
I think that some of what goes on here, has to be appreciated as useful catharsis – to begin with, as I pointed out in another comment, former scientologists may be just turning around what Scientology itself trains and does with respect to how to treat a party determined to be “enemy.” Hubbard, in particular, was set up on a pedestal in a way that was a complete lie, and that misrepresentation was part of what was used to lure and control people, so I think it is understandable that there can be real anger about that.
If you and Spike have some construction suggestions about how people can start to move on, or at least achieve greater peace, while there’s still an ongoing struggle in which they may have a compelling if not even gut-wrenching stake, that could indeed be useful. Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl, who might be a source of inspiration if you’re not already familiar with him, nonetheless said “An abnormal reaction to an abnormal situation is normal behavior.”
I’ll point out again, this Mission Statement of this particular blog is to “Expose the abuses” and serve as an information clearinghouse. And our proprietor, is one of those people who is still disconnected from his family, and so can’t even reconcile with his own flesh and blood, much less those who transgressed against him personally.
p.s. We’re in deep here, in a couple of ways, and so need to wrap it up and continue any discussion on some newer topic where it’s relevant.
marildi says
PM, I don’t agree that the points you make relate to all the comments here – many go beyond “useful catharsis.” With regard to the posters who understandably need catharsis, the quote I posted above is applicable and would help them even more. Particularly this paragraph:
“Our process of forgiveness may include speaking out and seeking justice, but in the end it is also a compassionate letting go, for our own sake as much as for others. It is like the meeting of two former prisoners of war: When one asked ‘Have you forgiven your former captors?’ the other replied, “no, never.” The first ex-prisoner looked with kindness at his friend and said, ‘Well, then they still have you in prison, don’t they.'”
And since you quoted Viktor Frankl, here is another quote of his:
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

Gene Trujillo says
By his Holy Guardian he refers to the “Holy Guardian Angel” that is supposedly obtained by engaging in a magical ceremony outlined by an old Jewish magician named Abramelin.
Crowley and OTO were big fans of this rite. Crowley reportedly did it twice, once under the influence of hashish and once again without. Crowley felt he contacted a higher entity who he considered to be an aspect of the Egyptian god Horus. He “channeled” from this entity, whether or not it exists.
Hubbard apparently did the same magical ceremony. Nibs mentions Abramelin as one of the things Hubbard had him read. Hubbard apparently considered his Holy Guardian Angel obtained through Abramelin to be an aspect of the goddess Hathor. He described her as a naked red haired woman.
As far as I can tell, Scientology was “channeled” from Hubbard’s Holy Guardian Angel similarly to how Thelema was channeled. In the early days Hubbard was open about using “automatic handwriting”, my org library even had a book about it.
What the above ultimately means, I have no idea but I find it fascinating.
Brian says
I think it means, at least to me, is that there was a metaphysical side to Ron that he never let us in on. Just like in Altitude Instruction.
Also I think it says that his PR persona was a mock up. He was really a metaphysical dabbler with a flair for metaphysical Freudian Therapy.
He was very immoral. Morals were an impediment with Ron ; will over!
Bruce Ploetz says
Brian, not to dispute what you say, but remember the “Affirmations” were sentences and phrases that he repeated to himself as a form of self-hypnosis. They can be construed as wishes and hopes that he wanted to instill in himself, not as statements of fact. So when he says, for example, that he can create an army of slaves; he is not saying that he thinks he really can. Just that he wishes he could.
For every point that he makes in the Affirmations, you can impute that he wanted to believe it, but that he had doubts. So he is trying to put the doubts to rest with magical thinking and self hypnosis.
Really a subtle point, because apparently it worked and he did go on to create an army of slaves! The Sea Org!
And what kind of person wishes he could dominate others against their will and so on? Not the kind of person you want guiding your spiritual path!
So your point is well taken, but for those who are seeing the Affirmations here for the first time it is important to know what they are.

I have no ill will against run of the church scientologists and even the institution if it went about its stated business, as opposed to what it really is about. Lying and hypocrisy are so endemic in the COS and almost everything it does is on the back of the blood, sweat and tears of those who have given themselves, their freedom and financial resources to it. It’s always intrigued me but I’m glad I’ve stayed on the outside looking in and shaking my head about how humans treat each other in our midst. Fortunately it is doomed and will be a footnote in history very soon thanks to your good work and that of other true humanitarians.

For the longest time I lost hope that Scientology could be stopped from committing crimes against anyone they thought was an ‘enemy’… For years I lived with tremendous grief …and fear of the things that were done to me & my family…and the capabilities of this Cult to destroy lives, destroy property, destroy relationships, harass, stalk, threaten and intimidate, invade the privacy, and carry out other things that one would never think another human being would deliberately do to another…and get by with it…’for the greater good’
Because of those brave enough to come forward and tell their stories…and because of YOU & Leah and all who continue thru all obstacles and threats to expose this evil immoral hypocritical Cult and the people committing these horrible inhumanities ~there is hope that finally… ~something can & WILL be done about it.

A commenter (Michael Tilse) at Ortega’s blog conjectured that the REAL reason Miscavige covets the land in question is: He wants to scrap the Freewinds money-pit and replace it with a land-based facility for OTVIII delivery.
With the new OTVIII building project, Miscavige could proudly announce THE GOLDEN AGE OF OT at the next big event — Made possible by his masterful expansion programs (Golden Age of Tech, Golden Age of Knowledge, Ideal Org, Super Power and SMP), which now make possible an OT beachhead in Clearwater that guarantees the land-based delivery of OTVIII and beyond.
Land-based delivery of OTVIII and beyond could be a big win for Miscavige:
– Provides the “next big thing” for Scientologists (especially the whales) to contribute to;
– Aligns with Miscavige’s real estate investment strategy, as well as maintains the illusion to gov’t agencies (e.g., IRS) that Miscavige is doing something church-like with his millions;
– Provides a big carrot that keeps the bubble dwellers looking forward;
– Makes more business for Flag facilities while lowering costs for OTVIII delivery;
– Confirms to the bubble dwellers that Miscavige is still the most OT, biggest being on the planet.
All of this is pure conjecture but could explain Miscavige’s especially bitter reaction about losing that property.
Mike Rinder says
He has already announced the Golden Age of OT.
This is pure speculation based on no facts whatsoever. If Miscavige wanted to he could start a campaign to buy a bigger, never ship…
Old Surfer Dude says
Are Never ships built in Never Land? Just curious…
I Yawnalot says
Never… it’s China now.
Old Surfer Dude says
Yep, that makes sense…
PeaceMaker says
I don’t think it makes sense that Miscavige would abandon the ship, which is one of his signature achievements, regardless of what it costs. It seems to me that would be the equivalent of closing an org, the sort of defeat that Scientology can never admit.
At one point, it was reported that the city council members were told in their private briefings, that Miscavige wanted to build a luxury hotel on the site. That would make a lot more sense to me – or else that the Oak Cove would be given a luxury makeover that included expanding on to the site with a pool, and probably other facilities, possible even comprising a new celebrity center, perhaps even the Château_Élysée (the original grand hotel that the CC LA now occupies) of the East. I suspect that Miscavige had some grand design to serve Tom Cruise’s celebrity friends and Scientology’s VIP “whales,” attracting even more of the same and then hangers-on and admirers, as a key piece of a next-great-thing to try in hopes of solving the problems he faces. And I don’t doubt that the desire to have a larger zone of control, also was a factor.
Harpoona Frittata says
WW, I read Michael Tilse’s post in Tony O. Land too. I agree – for the reasons that you’ve both stated – a big move like that would serve multiple purposes. In addition, moving the OT 8 delivery program on shore, and making it available at the same site where the rest of the cult’s highest dollar services are offered would serve to disguise the fact that very few people are actually making it all the way to the tippy top of the bridge.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist-level intellect to understand that if $cn was exponentially expanding as claimed, then lil davey would have long since needed a bigger fleet to handle all that massive traffic going up the bridge. He doesn’t because there isn’t any such demand, but that’s the very last thing you want the flim-flammed flock to realize, so why not save coin while consolidating services and bill it as more thetatastic growth?
WhatWall says
HF, this speculation does make sense in so many ways. Moving the ship-based services to land would lower operating costs and make those services more accessible. However, as Mike pointed out, this potential use of that land is pure speculation on my part.

Hypocrisy, thy name is $cientology. What occurs to me is that when any clam jumps ship, it is often because the hypocrisy has jumped up and slapped them in the face. It may concern a family member or friend or their life, but slapped in the face they were.
All those little lies do add up and as most clams are not perfectly installed in their bubble, they begin to withhold more and more of their life from the machine that is modern $cientology.
Leah Remini spoke very well about this process in her book. She is something of an odd ball in the $cieno world. She always kept a part of herself in check and out of the complete control of the machine. Even as she endured endless sec checks from the ‘where is Shelly’ episode, she kept an internal dialog that reserved some of her spirit from the Clampire. I think a lot of clams have reached that point their clam lives and it only takes that one more reg cycle to cause an escape.
Each lie that $cientology tells cause more reservations and introspection among those who still have those powers. The hemorrhaging has and always will take away many members. That is why new meat is so important, some one has to replace the escapees.
Harpoona Frittata says
I believe that there’s a developmental dynamic at work here as well. Many folks, such as myself, who got into the cult in the 60’s or 70’s are now plenty old enough to observe for ourselves exactly how well folks like us have fared in $cn and outside of it,
People get old, sick and die within the cult, just like everyone else, so whatever $cn has done for them, it’s provided no noticeable improvement in their life spans or health. Indeed, if anything, aging $cilons seem even more wore down, used up and tired out than those of us who got the hell out (like me) early on.
Compounding the natural and the to-be-expected vicissitudes of aging, still-in $cilons nearing retirement age have either been saving for their older age or, more likely, spending it all on paper “statuses” and endlessly exorcising thousands and thousands of imaginary space alien spirits. So, the average aging $cilon who’s not on staff has only to look around to his cherch “family” to see exactly how well being a long-time cultist has done for them.
My guess is that the end game here is not looking all that great for the aging $cilons who threw caution to breeze and their money down the huge rat hole that $cn so completely is. They’ve also been around long enough to see exactly what status venerable elders have in the cult, and once you’re broke the cult will drop your aged ass, quicker than you can say, “Ron IS Xenu!”
WhatAreYourCrimes says
What “new meat”?
Most normal people want nothing to do with scientology now.
In fact there are, virtually, only two kinds of scientologists at this point:
1. Ex-scientologists, and …
2. Those scientologists thinking about becoming ex-scientologists.
The fragment of humanity that are the true kool-aid drinkers of LRH is dwindling daily as they continue to google the founder and his madness. From “millions” in the eighties, down to 10 thousand now, and shrinking as members awaken from their nightmare slumber.
And the only ones who would independently join up at this point are probably not the kind of people Miscavige and his demonic ilk would prefer.
Pathetic “religion”, isn’t it.

Keep discouraging child birth in the SO, and do so with accessible contraception. The current fertile sheep will age out soon enough. Crash.

The FBI has a resource for those who are victims of human trafficking. Available here: https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/help-for-victims-of-trafficking-brochure.pdf/view An excerpt:
YOU MAY BE A VICTIM OF TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS IF SOMEONE HAS:
1. Forced you to work against your will ;
2. Collected a debt by using threats or forcing you to work to pay the debt;
3. Forced you to work using threats to harm you and/or your family;
4. Forced or pressured you into prostitution or to do other sexual acts;
5. Taken away your passport, birth certificate, or identification card to intimidate and control your movements.
Is there any former Sea Org member reading this that has not been subjected to at least three of these criteria? Number 5 is enshrined in policy and is part of the Sea Org experience at every Sea Org installation I have visited.
I know the Headleys tried to sue on these points and the judge decided against them. See more here http://tonyortega.org/2013/01/13/did-the-headleys-and-their-lawsuit-torpedo-the-fbi-investigation-of-scientology/ But the problem was largely because they waited so long to sue.
Probably somebody under-the-radar who reads this blog has the power to bring the whole edifice down. By speaking up. And probably that person is scared witless about what would happen to them if they did. That is why they call it “human trafficking”, also known as modern day slavery. For a slave to rise up against their captors, they first have to rise up in their hearts against the reasons they went into slavery. It is not all about shackles and razor wire fences.
It just takes one or a few to speak up with recent evidence that will stand in a court of law. It will take some courage. But maybe I can be forgiven for hoping someone will find the courage in their hearts that I lacked when I escaped and had the same choice. It is far too late for me, but for someone who is hurting now there could be a solace that comforts not only their own pain, but also the pain of may others. Not revenge, justice.

Beautiful plea, Bruce. I second that motion.
Mick Roberts says
Bruce, I certainly hope someone still under the radar will read your comment (and others) and decide to take action on behalf of those still trapped within. Or that some public Scientologist with internet access to this and other sites and who is related to a current Sea Org member who has information will relay this stuff and see if they are able to provide something that can bring federal scrutiny to this organization and help these individuals escape.
I would imagine fear of the repercussions for not only leaving, but speaking out, would be terrifying. But it’s not like it was in the “good ole days”, where those who were declared were probably extremely isolated without the internet to find others who would understand their struggles. The support system of former Scientologists is growing at what seems like a daily rate. And the support of never-ins also appears to be growing by leaps and bounds due to the recent explosion of exposure. You will most certainly not “be alone”.
Perhaps this is all somewhat too optimistic, but I have to believe that there’s always hope.

Tell me this Ron apologists:
How would you react to a neighbor, let’s call him BJ Lard Ass, telling you that these above 14 points were real and the main reason that planet earth is having a hard time?
You would tell your children to not go near that house. You would tell kids in the neighborhood to stay away from Mr. Lard Ass as Mr. Lard Ass is delusional and possibly dangerous.
That there are people who still embrace L Ron Hubbard as a wise man, who has braved the wilds of mental uncharted territory, that know he said said these above 14 points……..
is evidence of brain washing and the prison of belief.
Ron apologists are in denial.
Brian says
L Ron Hubbard was occluded as far as being responsible. Most all conditions of life, in Scientology, are blamed of delusion and make believe.
Scientology, to a great degree, is the religion of victimhood.
L RON HUBBARD BLAMED DELUSIONAL EXTERNAL FORCES FOR HIS SELF CREATED CONDITION.
L RON HUBBARD CALLED KARMA “SYNTHETIC KARMA” on the OT 8 materials.
Do you know why Ron dissed the doctrine of karma?
I do.
He dissed it because the doctrine of karma is the doctrine of causation. It is the doctrine of consequence.
It is the doctrine that says whatever you are experiencing is as a result of what YOU have created. That gives US all of the power.
But because Ron was not interested in “wog morality”; the laws of consequence of self created action – it gave him justification to do what he wanted not limited by the inconvenience of conscience and decent behavior.
Ron dissed karma because of egotistical greed to do what he wanted. Dissing the laws of consequence gave Ron the license to deceive and hurt people and believe that nothing would happen to him.
Well Mr. Hubbard, the laws of karma that you said did not exist, was able to find you hiding in your Blue Bird motor home to teach you that just because your ego declares that karma does not exist does make make it so.
Mr. Hubbard, there is a dynamic of life that cares not a rats ass what you THINK. It’s called the TRUTH.
The long dirty finger nails, the straggling long thinning hair, the injection of psychiatric drugs in your butt; is proof positive that just because you consider something does not make it true.
The law of gravity does not give a shit about your delusional considerations.
Step out the window with the consideration that gravity is not real and it will destroy you and your considerations. Truth is impersonal.
Ron apologists………….. think this over.
Brian says
The culmination of Ron’s life, the summation of all of his philosophy and actions, the application of the “religion” he created…………………..
WAS WISHING FOR SUICIDE BY ELECTROSHOCK (something he warred against his whole life)
WAS ASKING SARGE TO GO LOOKING FOR VAGRANT BTS ON HIS RANCH.
WAS NEEDING PSYCHIATRIC DRUGS FOR ANXIETY
WAS THE NEED OF LAWYERS AND WANNA BE POPES TO HIDE THE FACT OF HIS DEPLORABLE DEMISE.
The reason they worked so hard to hide Ron’s death is because it proves the ineffectiveness of Scientology itself.
L Ron Hubbard was like the 400 pound fat man who claimed the discovery of weight loss.
Newcomer says
And so it goes Brian. Such will be the fate for every last agonizing soul choosing to remain in and or working for a group like $cientology. None will be more miserable that dear leader. Look at Him now and imagine, how much worse can He get?
Short Answer (the Dave answer) “A lot!”
Yo Dave,
Howz it hangin today good buddy? Another week in Your life of doing everything while You try and manage the losers You have assembled around you? Not to worry Dave, things are sure to get worse. More of those inept bodies will continue to do less and require more of Your management skills, more food, more time, more potential threats of ‘blowing’ Your little kool aide stand.
It couldn’t be happening to a better guy Dave. Enjoy the first day of the rest of Your sordid little Bee Tee infested life. And for gods sake Dave, get your shoes shined for a change, they look like shit!
Gus Cox says
Nooooo, His John Lobbs are scuffed??? Quelle horreur! I guess His Shoe I/C is gonna go to the RPF’s RPF.
McCarran says
???
Cre8tivewmn says
Some of that wog morality he wasn’t interested in included vows to women and responsibilities to children/offspring.
I Yawnalot says
It must have been quite the delusion for which Hubbard had no answer or confront for in the end, just more of his “research circuit” kicking in – the damn needle just keeps on fucking reading! And down the rabbit hole Scientology went. There’s more to what Alice said and did than meets the eye and the Wonderland part was just another piece of the hypocrisy indoctrinated into Scientology lore. Perhaps more credit should be given to Lewis Carroll for being the true father of Scientology – Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known by his pen name Lewis Carroll, was an English writer, mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon, and photographer. See any similarities to Hubbard’s valence?
Mike Krotz says
Miscavige is going to bring on my un-retirement from active criticism of Scientology if this goes one step further. Attacking the CMA like that was/is a last straw for me. Does he want me to bring Jamie DeWolf back to town?
Chee Chalker says
It would be a great photo op to have the great grandson of the biggest Big Being standing next to Winter the dolphin
Old Surfer Dude says
The dwarf would have a conniption. Let’s make it happen!
I Yawnalot says
Conniption… wow! Had to look that one up, put in 10 or more sentences, clay demo’ed it and all.
See Scientology works 100% of the time on all people who engage the subject and they will eventually, usually sooner rather than later dramatize the meaning of conniption.
It’s the word of the day – most impressive Dude!
Old Surfer Dude says
All in a days work, I Yawn.
Valerie says
Clearwater learned its lesson well.
As long as it took to build the Super Power building the Super Playground/swimming pool would have languished and remained empty for just as long while David Miscavige did fundraising for the plans then the grass, trees, flowers, steps for the pool, specially purified chlorinated water to fill it.
All this despite the fact that he had $15 million to throw at it to buy it and supposed millions to revitalize downtown.
Miscavige is not loved, his curtain has been pulled back and the lies are laid bare. The sad few who still believe what is trumpeted by him are those who must in order to survive.
Jaycee Dugard who was kidnapped at age 11 and held for 18 years said “every day, I knew I was a prisoner, I just did what I had to do to survive”. I sincerely hope Shelly and Heber and those others imprisoned by their own minds also somewhere deep down have the spark that helps them feel that.
The hypocrisy needs to be exposed to light. Thank you Mike for your tireless efforts in doing that.
anon says
But is Winter the Dolphin an SP? (Suppressive Porpoise)
Old Surfer Dude says
SP…..what, a Super Porpoise?
I Yawnalot says
Yeah, but a cleared porpoise is still a cleared porpoise, SP or not. They can now be rational about riding bow waves from here on out. But the non interference zone still applies, don’t want no stinking ‘frying other fish’ to gum up the works!
Wynski says
Remember kids, If it isn’t a lie, it ISN’T scientology!
McCarran says
“This is a criminal organization through and through that presents a false face to the world by pretending to be against the very things it perpetrates.” The most succinct sentence about the Church of Scientology ever written. One could (and should) use this as their “STABLE DATUM” when presented with anything scientology and base their responses or reactions or actions with it from this one statement.
Wendy M says
The true message of this convoluted saga is becoming more apparent: “Donate money to the IAS so that Miscavige can offer more than 3x the market value for property to build a pool for rich people and to keep “wogs” away.” They are using the plight of the poor to emotionally hijack the pockets of the rich, so that they can then pander to the rich and keep that grip on those rich pockets. I’m finding it hard to get past the fact that Miscavige offered so much for the property … I hope the still-ins are thinking about how their money is spent, which is why it is great that he has turned this into a huge public spat. If the still-ins follow their noses…..the stench will reveal itself.
Mark says
I think it is wrong to call them hypocritical. They are very concerned about the 27M people being trafficked and the 120 million children working. I am certain they want to know how they can get their own stats that high.
Jim goodman says
Thank you for what you continue to do to reveal Scientology for what it really is: a money making (only) cult! God Blees you!
Old Surfer Dude says
“God Blees you!” I was Bleesed once at college. It made me sneeze…
I Yawnalot says
Miscavige truly needs to be arrested!
Old Surfer Dude says
Tared, feathered and run out of town on a piece of wood, by cracky!
Newcomer says
I was thinkin the piece of wood might be put in a different place! Somewhere the sun did not shine and the screams could not be heard!
Old Surfer Dude says
Especially when we’re hammering it in. I’ve got some cloth for the screams…
Newcomer says
Isn’t that a line from the new GAG II KSW course?
I Yawnalot says
It would be good to see Miscavige lead by example. Make sure the wood has plenty of splinters and a bottle of Clorox is on hand.
Old Surfer Dude says
And make him lick the bathroom floor…
nomnom says
Truer words were never spoken…
CS says
My bil and sil are educators in and citizens of Pakistan. I just sent a Kindle with over 500 books loaded on it to them through a relative. On that Kindle was every book on Scientology Amazon has for Kindle, including Leah’s and Tony Ortega’s. I wondered if that was such a good idea, BUT seeing the IAS sheet of lies, I’m glad I did. (Even if the “educator from Pakistan” is pure fantasy.)
Shareen Goodroad says
Spot on article Mike – thanks for the follow-up.
threefeetback says
Dave,
Let’s put this in your own colorful lingo: stench or no stench, Yingling is a cunt.
And you are a dick. Now that you have defied the federal Judge, how do you think Monique is going to stand up against Neil Gorsuch at the Supreme Court level?
Old Surfer Dude says
I whole heartedly agree with both discriptions..
John S. (Jack) Brooks CADC-1 aka "Wrytur" says
If I may, I’d like to share my heartfelt greetings to the esteemed CoB when I learned of his birthday via The Underground Bunker:
I humbly give you a birthday missal, Oh Father of Lies…..”The Rime of the Modern Mariner,”
May visions of those disconnected fill your head
May you be haunted by Narconon clients among the dead
May the coercion you inflicted infest your soul
And darkness your home in your very own HOLE
May banquets turn rancid as the fork meets your lips
May Freewinds join the armada of Hate’s Hellbound ships
Long may you sail on that Mary Celeste
Your ticket awaits, Satan’s most honored guest
Thereon you’ll be feted, you’ve earned the Award
As the Afterlife’s minions escort you aboard
Magnimus Platinum Diamond Palladium
Medallion of Sin, glowing like Radium
Shining in glory, consuming your flesh
As your Familiar’s cheers echo afresh
Triumph resounds in the Hubbardian Morgue
Saluting their Chairman in his ideal org
As malificent breezes fill sails long rotted
Your skeleton crew lies Blown, besotted
The tiller long gone, no captain in sight
Master’s Charts strewn unread in hope’s dwindling light
Faithful Bos’n then trumpets, “Our Bridge, Oh My King!”
But you scowl in rage, well-worn Cat you unstring
Your Leige falls trembling, in quaking apostasy
You’ll give 50 lashes, for such grievious lèse majesté
A cry from the Crow’s Nest, “The Bridge comes now Clear.”
Your volley of grapeshot rewards that Buccaneer
Your Spyglass to eye, “Lo, an arch appears there!
Its bulwarks are mighty, at last I Declare,
My Path will be Free, My Game will be Fair!
You’ll kneel at my throne, all bow to my will!
Blessed by LRon The Mighty, God of Saint Hill!”
My vessel draws nigh, Charon welcomes me waving
The wicked prosperity my black heart’s been craving
Once in the wheelhouse, Charon’s eyes meet the shore
“Charybdis lies ahead and Scylla before
We’ve sailing to do, no time to make land!
Pirate of Souls, you do understand!
Our ocean is fire, our plunder divine
Our kingdom those lost, whose hearts we would mine
Every last nugget, until barren and bare
Then on to the next, no mercy to spare!”
Darkness descended as Charon resumed
Past lighthouses lifeless, their bodies exhumed
“I’ll serve you with faith, my Commander of Death
Right up to end, my very last breath
So stay firm our rigging, tighten it well
Prepare to make ready
For landfall in Hell”
Susan Brochini says
E P I C !
Barbet says
Wow…that is an awesome poem? Nay, poem is a weak word compared to this!
Cre8tivewmn says
Well done!
Old Surfer Dude says
I’ll take mine medium well. Thanks!
exemplaryangel says
Breathtaking.
Old Surfer Dude says
Someone took my breath away once. I nearly died! But I stayed in PT the entire time!
L Yash says
You missed your calling for sure! This IS a Masterpiece of literature!
Cindy says
What a great poem! Masterful.
George M. White says
The poem is simply just great!
