Scientology Fair Game: Hate/Love & Valuable/Protect

A dear friend recently sent me some drills from the Guardian’s Office developed for the Intelligence (dirty tricks) branch.  They are clearcut evidence that Hubbard’s techniques for destroying the perceived enemies of scientology were implemented across the world.

One of the more incriminating documents penned by Hubbard was written in March of 1972 titled “Counter Attack Tactics” — along with a companion and perhaps even more shocking directive titled “Intelligence Principles.”  This post concerns Counter Attack Tactics and finding Love/Hate and Valuable/Protect buttons. Another post will cover the activities designed to frame “enemies” laid out the Intelligence Principles directive.

COUNTER ATTACK TACTICS

 

PRINCIPLE: When PR and Legal find themselves engaged in handling attacks, Intelligence has failed.

SITUATION: Those who attack Scientology as proven by Oxford Capacity Analysis graphs, criminal or shady record, personal lives etc., are provenly suppressive.  When such people, as is currently common, ascend into the heights of governments or public or private organizations, or the press, they are able to exert the fullest dramatization against anything which might benefit others and usually do.

Being suppressive (a kind word for insane) their aims are destructive.

This is not limited to their fancied enemies.  They are destructive to themselves and their own government or institution.

This is well known to us.  But there IS a situation in it which has not been solved.

WHEN YOU THREATEN TO UPSET THINGS WITH A COUNTERATTACK THIS IS PLEASING TO SUCH PEOPLE AND THEY GO ON ATTACKING AS THEY WANT THEIR OWN GOVT OR INSTITUTION ACTIVITY ATTACKED.

In other words, one plays into their hands.  They WANT riot and civil commotion.

Also, by the laws of insanity (see HCO B 29 Nov 70, C/S Series 22, PSYCHOSIS) they also want themselves destroyed.

This is also known as “being selected as somebody’s executioner.”

The more you attack, the more such people goad one. This is the true principle behind Clausewitz’s “laws of war” in which attack gets counterattack. Such people are suicidal. Investigation discloses, for instance, that certain persons in the US govt continually alienate OPINION LEADERS so they attack the govt.  Upward of 2000 army sergeants in Defense Intelligence were engaged in just this in recent years. IRS picks a celebrity a year to attack and degrade “as an example”.

The powers that be sometimes remove such persons.  Robinson,

Minister of Health, Goodrich, former FDA chief amongst others were removed by other seniors at Scientology insistence but they themselves left on post would have gone on attacking harder and harder until the resulting counter-commotion had practically destroyed their agencies.

WHY: An attacker who is attacking out of his own dramatization will go on attacking until his government or agency is destroyed by the counterattack because he is generally destructive.

STATS: The UK attacks tapered off and successful recovery was begun when Robinson was removed.  The FDA agency attack began to cool down when Goodrich was forced to resign.  The AMA attack apparently continues via various channels and nobody has been removed.

IDEAL SCENE: (For Information Bureau) Attackers against Scientology located and removed from their positions of power so that Scientology can get on with it.  And any threat of attack restrained, leaving Scientology a clear field.

HANDLING:

BRIGHT IDEA:

1. These persons can always lose their jobs.  These jobs, permitting them power to destroy, are valuable to them.  This is A POINT OF VULNERABILITY.

2. If the person’s job is also not valuable to him or if he cannot be made to cost his job, something can be found which he is seeking to protect and it can be threatened.

EVOLVED OPERATING PRINCIPLES:

A. COUNTER ATTACK TO OBTAIN THE REMOVAL OF THE PERSON with a product of DISMISSED ATTACKER.

B. If on test, A is not feasible, SURVEY TO FIND WHAT THE PERSON CONSIDERS VALUABLE AND USE IT FOR RESTRAINT.

C. AVOID WHERE POSSIBLE THE COMMOTION AND WASTED ENERGY OF PARALLELING AN ATTACKER’S OWN EVIL PURPOSE OF DESTROYING HIS OWN GOVT, AGENCY OR INSTITUTION AND INSTEAD DISCOVER THE ATTACKER AND OPERATE TO COST HIM HIS JOB.

D. Where A and C fail, use B.

PLAN:

(a) Wherever an attack is in progress (and even when being held off by counter-propaganda from PR or actions from Legal) at once swiftly draw up a precise program using Intelligence principles and cross filing to isolate the attacker.

(b) Identify the instigator.

(c) When identified or even suspected as the instigator, draw up a project which includes at least three channels to cost him his job.

(d) Draw up a second project at once to survey and discover what the person really is defending and threaten it effectively.

(e) Execute the projects rapidly.

(f) On achieving success inform PR so that PR can call off the PR counterattack and capitalize on any information gained if it does not expose Intelligence.

(g) Inform legal so Legal can replan and utilize the information also gained to mop up.

NOTE: Intelligence in these regards is not feeding PR and Legal as the only fruit of its endeavors.  It is OPERATING INDEPENDENTLY of these two functions with ITS OWN PRODUCT: I.E.  A DISMISSED ATTACKER or its secondary product: a totally restrained and muzzled attacker.

Note: A small unit operating with superior technology can triumph over the most gigantic but vulnerable enemy and render him pleasant.

Here are the drills Guardian’s Office (and subsequently OSA) operatives use to become proficient in the Hubbard techniques. They are DIRECTLY based on what he directed be done.

 

USING BUTTONS.

In each of the following, write out 3 ways that you could connect up the target person as anti-love or pro-hate of his/her bosses (or person with power to influence his/her job) buttons.

1. Target: Bob Jones 16 yr old stock clerk in local grocery store.

Boss: Hates kids who are druggies, loves employees who are on time to work.

2. Target: Mrs. Grover a 45-year-old volunteer worker at the local Charities Assn.

Boss: Director of the Assn., hates people who drink alcohol, and hates employees who wear any type of religious symbol (i.e., cross, Jewish star, etc.).

3. Target: Bill Bonehead 25-year-old reporter at the local newspaper.

Boss: Hates enthusiastic reporters or ones who develop their own story ideas. Loves robotic “yes men” to work under him.

4. Target: Byron P. Stonehedge 60-year-old director of the United General Corp., a multi-diversified $300 million dollar a year corp.

Bosses: Chairman of the Board likes company men who tow the line; once got a director fired because the director’s son got bad national press when his wife committed suicide off of a Las Vegas hotel after running up gambling debts—hates company scandal like this. Stockholders like dividends and earnings from their stocks, hate anything that could prevent such.

5. Target: Dr. Ushlie, internationally known psychiatrist, 57 years old, professor at a local private college, and in private practice.

Bosses: The local college executive alumni and president love good PR for their school, which holds their image as a college with famous graduates.

 

VALUABLE/PROTECT: in each of the following write out 3 different ways that you could threaten or attack what each target person considers valuable or is protecting.

1.  Target: Robert Dayman’s editor of local newspaper, 56 yrs old.

Val/pro: His status I media circles, belongs to a national media clubs and assns. His cow breeding farm 10 miles out of town.

2.  Free-lance writer Sandra Haney, 32 yrs old, single, promiscuous 2d, drinks alcohol or smokes pit daily.

Val/pro: Doesn’t want her parents to know about her promiscuity. Values her “freedom” as a freelancer. Protects herself from being at effect with others, likes to control and attack others.

3. Target: Investigator in local district attorney’s office Todd Briggs, 54 years old, married, one child.

Val/Pro: Being able to play golf every Saturday and Sunday, gets very ARC broken if he can’t. His free time after with at night, like to stay after 5 pm to work a    minute after quitting time.

4. Target: Congressman Harris, 51 yrs old, 1^st term in office, widower, 2 marred children.

Val/pro: His PR as “an important person” in his community- likes for people to admire him, which is built on his rickety PR as congressman and as former county commissioner.

5. Target: Dr. Goldnose, local child psychiatrist, 48 years old, unmarried.

Val/pro: Doesn’t want anyone to know he gets sexually aroused by children, that he performed various perversions with child patients and keeps a collection of nude  pictures of children.

 

Following are drills to practice locating buttons for use in Ops. [Ops are “operations” — planned campaigns with detailed targets to carry out the actions to destroy enemies of scientology with Fair Game]

These are to give you all the ways to find buttons.

Any difficulties encountered should be reported to your supervisor so that proper referral to materials or cramming can be done.

 

HATE/LOVE

Write down 5 separate hate or love buttons that you have observed others to have had. (examples: when I was a kid I remember our local butcher used to hate kids running through his store, in fact he’d lose business by throwing the butcher’s oil on such children out of the store before fulfilling their meat orders. Mrs. Kolby, my 5th grade teacher, loved students who wore neatly cleaned and pressed clothes so much that she’d give them higher grades than they deserved.)

1. Go through some magazines and find long stories or interviews of various people until you can get 3 different people from which you can extract hate and love buttons. Write down what you found on each person.

2. Select 3 people (relatives, friends, neighbors) about whom you know at least one of their hate/love buttons each. You may not speak with any of these people except to maintain your cover in the area.

3. Go through the literature (magazines, newsletters, bulletins, etc.) of a professional, trade, or specialty group and note down the unreasoned hates and loves of that group gleaned from the literature. _______

4., Interview the head of personnel in some company under suitable guise [an assumed, false identity] and find out “reasons why” (hate/love buttons) their personnel get hired, fired, demoted, and promoted. _______

5. Go to a store, factory, agency, or somesuch and interview or survey or converse with several employees to discover the hate and love buttons of the management. (minimum of 5 people) _______

6. Locate a local executive or manager of some local business or activity who handles juniors or owns the business. Now by observing him, interviewing him or those who know him and readily getting published about him and/or his line of work, find his hate and love buttons. _______

 

VALUABLE/PROTECT

1. Write down 5 separate valuable or protect buttons that you have observed others to have had. (example: my neighbor used to spend most of her spare time and most of her money collecting and mounting butterflies, which she keeps in a bank vault when not working on them or viewing them. My uncle used to be very concerned about keeping the family together, he arranged all the family parties, even made up reasons to get family members together and bought family gifts which he really couldn’t afford).

2. Go through as many CIC files [Central Information Center — the files kept by GO/OSA on perceived enemies] on individuals as necessary until you can by file data alone find on 3 people what each person considers valuable or is protecting.

3. Get into good comm with 3 different individuals and find out something each considers valuable or what they are protecting.
