The recent controversy surrounding Emily Armstrong’s role as the new lead vocalist for Linkin Park, paired with her status as a practicing scientologist, sparked public debate. Yet the real issue remains largely overlooked: scientology’s deeply ingrained culture of abuse, secrecy, protectionism, harassment, and retaliation. Members like Armstrong choose to remain silent, tacitly supporting an organization that not only condones but perpetuates a range of abuses.
Armstrong’s post about not knowing Masterson’s history as a serial rapist is deliberately misleading — an attempt to distract and deflect responsibility. Focusing solely on her support for Masterson in the courtroom serves as a diversion from a far broader and more troubling reality — one that scientology is acutely aware of, as evidenced by the carefully crafted statement they may well have provided for her to post. She expressed regret for supporting her “friend” Masterson, yet offered merely an offhand mention of his victims and not a shred of criticism for the organization and those within it who not only knew of Masterson’s crimes but actively protected him by covering them up. Scientology has an extensive history of concealing serious crimes to shield the organization from public exposure. High-ranking scientologists, including leader David Miscavige and numerous celebrity members were well aware of Masterson’s crimes yet did nothing. Instead, they adhered to scientology’s policies of silence and protectionism, designed to prioritize the organization’s survival at any cost, even if that means protecting abusers and punishing victims.
Even if we extend Armstrong the benefit of the doubt and assume she knew nothing of Masterson’s actions, she certainly knows now. Where is her voice today, other than expressing regret for her support of Masterson before he was found guilty and sentenced to 30 years? Where is the voice of any celebrity Scientologist condemning Masterson? Where is the outrage over their “church’s” knowledge of his crimes, dating back to 2002? Not a single prominent Scientologist has stepped forward to champion the victims who bravely spoke out, despite relentless retaliatory attacks by the organization and its members afterward.
Where are the voices of supposed champions for human rights and victims like Juliette Lewis, Elisabeth Moss, and the newest New York housewife, Rebecca Minkoff? These public figures, who claim to be advocates for human rights, vanish into thin air when it comes to speaking out against abuses within their own organization. They are quick to embrace scientology’s rhetoric of moral superiority and freedom, yet they refuse to champion the rights of anyone who exposes a scientologist or the organization itself. They remain silent on issues that encompass physical, sexual, and psychological abuse, forced disconnection from loved ones, harassment of former members, non-members, “never-ins,” and the relentless targeting of government agencies, journalists, and whistleblowers.
The list of abuses perpetrated by scientology is vast and well-documented. Victims have been forcibly cut off from their families, pressured into coerced labor, subjected to degrading punishment routines, and deprived of basic freedoms. Children within Scientology are often abused and denied a proper education, instead being put to work or indoctrinated into joining the Sea Org, the organization’s paramilitary-like wing, where they endure grueling schedules, harsh discipline and the psychological strain of strict indoctrination. Elderly members have been financially drained and cast aside when no longer deemed useful, often left without the necessary support in their later years. Scientology enforces a strict code that labels speaking out as an act of war, marking individuals as “enemies” to be targeted. Those who dare to report on or criticize the organization face a relentless onslaught of threats, surveillance, smear campaigns, and lawsuits explicitly designed to intimidate and financially bankrupt them. This system of retaliation, known as “Fair Game,” is a cornerstone of scientology — mobilized to crush any dissent with ruthless efficiency.
Scientology’s celebrity advocates remain conspicuously silent about these abuses, standing by an organization that systematically erases opposition through an arsenal of resources and a well-oiled machinery of intimidation. Their silence is not only complicity; it sends a message that they are willing to ignore — or even condone — the extensive suffering inflicted upon members, former members, and anyone brave enough to expose the truth about scientology’s dark inner workings.
By refusing to speak out against these abuses, they tacitly endorse an organization that prioritizes power and self-preservation over the well-being of its members and the rights of those who seek to expose the truth. It’s deeply hypocritical. These individuals, who publicly advocate for causes like women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and other social issues, only extend their compassion to those whose struggles don’t involve scientology. The silence from scientology’s celebrity ranks on these abuses is deafening and telling. While they enjoy the privileges and protection afforded by the scientology’s influence and wealth, they conveniently overlook the suffering inflicted on others in the name of scientology’s so-called “greatest good.” Why are they not championing the rights of former members who are silenced, harassed, and retaliated against for speaking out? Why do they ignore the stories of victims within their own ranks who have been exploited, abused, and even forced into coerced arbitration?
This silence extends beyond former members to anyone who dares to expose Scientology or report honestly on the church and its members. These public figures are quick to label any criticism as “religious persecution” and claim they are fighting for the rights of scientologists to practice freely. Yet, they turn a blind eye to those outside of the church who have suffered at its hands. For all their claims of defending freedom, their silence only serves to protect the church’s image and perpetuate a system of control, abuse, and secrecy. It begs the question: Are they truly advocates for human rights, or only for those who align with scientology’s agenda? That’s rhetorical. By their own policies and actions, we know the answer.
Through three seasons of Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, courageous whistleblowers shared stories of abuse by scientologists— stories of financial exploitation, physical and sexual assault, elder abuse, and more. Yet not a single scientology celebrity, PR front group, or spokesperson publicly supported these victims. There was not one tweet, not one post, not a single word of compassion or support for those who dared to come forward. There were only attacks on these brave people, seeking to destroy their reputation and credibility. This silence extends far beyond our series. Going Clear, The Tampa Bay Times exposé The Truth Rundown, Time Magazine, BBC Panorama and Anderson Cooper 360, to name a few, have all brought critical stories about scientology to light. In each case, Scientology’s response has been ruthless retaliation. Where was the outcry from scientologists when these stories of abuse were exposed? Any book, documentary, news article, or story ever published about Scientology has been met with vicious campaigns to discredit, harass, and silence those who dared to speak the truth.
For every brave individual who steps forward, scientology unleashes a retaliatory campaign designed to destroy their personal and professional lives. These celebrity scientologists continue to promote the church’s message of “goodwill,” ignoring its calculated efforts to ruin the lives of those who dare to speak up. Where are they when elderly scientologists are financially exploited, or when victims are forced into sham “religious arbitration” proceedings that prevent their stories from being heard?
The hypocrisy is staggering. Backed by billions of dollars, Scientology has systematically destroyed lives under the guise of enforcing its so-called “laws.” From concerned parents who haven’t seen their children in years to journalists and mental health professionals, Scientology’s operations — now managed by the Office of Special Affairs (OSA) — demonstrate a long-standing pattern of retribution that dates back to the Guardian’s Office in the 1960’s. The organization leverages its vast financial resources to harass, intimidate, and silence anyone who dares to challenge its carefully crafted public image.
If the government were to conduct a raid on Scientology today, much like it successfully did in 1977, it would likely uncover mountains of concealed evidence of crimes. Armstrong, like many other Scientologists, is part of a system rooted in cover-ups, coercion, and a culture that demands silence under the guise of the “greatest good”—a practice that serves only to protect Scientology.
The list below of celebrities who promote Scientology yet remain silent on its abuses is long. Many know full well the extent of the organization’s wrongdoing, yet they choose complicity over courage, despite scientology’s own claims that its members are “the most ethical beings on the planet” and “champions of human rights.” It is clear that no matter the crime — financial, sexual, physical, or legal abuse —scientology’s resources are always directed toward the same goal: shielding itself from accountability, while its celebrity advocates remain silent, complicit in the cover-up.
Some may argue that it’s unfair to criticize individuals for their religious beliefs, but this situation is far from a simple matter of personal faith. When celebrities publicly align themselves with an organization that systematically uses harassment, intimidation, psychological warfare, and legal action to silence anyone who exposes its wrongdoing, they are complicit in those actions. Scientology is not just another belief system; it is an organization with a documented history of abuse, retaliation, and the destruction of lives in the name of self-preservation. By lending their names and influence, these celebrities aren’t merely practicing a religion—they are supporting and legitimizing a powerful organization that employs ruthless tactics against journalists, advocates, whistleblowers, and anyone else who speaks out.
This is not about religious freedom; it’s about accountability for aligning with an organization that actively harms others. These celebrities must answer for their choice to champion an organization that has long traded in abuse and silencing tactics.

Tommy Savas, actor ( Disney+ National Treasure series) and now budding director. Long time friend of Danny Masterson. He was the one that leaked via IG Ashton Kutcher’s appearance at a Scientology wedding right after the first allegations against Danny Masterson came to light. This was around 2019?
Tommy Savas (2nd gen Scientologist) just married Angie Simms, sister of Juliet Simms in April of 2024. Juliet is on Mike Rinder’s list of cowardly celebs above. Angie is a model, actress, director and co-creator with Tommy Savas. Tommy Savas and Angie Simms work for Lindsey Reckis aka Lindsey Schnell. Founder of Scientologist packed comedy production group, Reckless Tortuga. Lindsey is an OT8 according to the lists on TruthAboutScientology. Lindsey has been the couple’s primary employer via various YouTube channels. The group has tried various gimmicks trying to go viral, it’s never totally taken off. Often Angie Simms being the face of these attempts. Two words: “PlayStation girl” on YouTube. Where they tried to infiltrate gaming culture and perhaps grow popular amongst a younger target demographic. They also covered the Johnny Depp/ Amber Heard civil trial when that was all the rage. In a “Daily show” style series, also staring Angie Simms.
Angie Simms went into work with Adam Sigal in Chariot. Released 2022. Adam Sigal is a multi Gen Scientologist and Private Investigator now turned Director. Look his interviews about being a PI for years in LA. His interviews about being a Private Investigator don’t exactly paint him in the most innocent light. Considering the cults history of using PIs as weapons.
Adam Sigal’s film Chariot was all about helping people reach reincarnation and also at the same time vilification of psychology.
More than one Scientology second gen and their friends have credited parts in Sigal’s film Chariot. Angie Simms being one. Brittany Seymour is another.
Tommy and Angie are now selling themselves as the next indie film power team. With Tommy’s feature film debut: COGN-AI-TIVE. Which was written by Angie Simms. Staring Josh Zuckerman and Noel Fisher. It’s of course about AI, gone wrong. It was announced in the trade papers early this year. Considering Tommy’s lack of a proven record as a director, makes you wonder who is supporting THAT film.
Noticing a new pattern of Scientology second or third gens, trying to become directors instead of actors now. Josh Shultz is another. Celeb photographer, actor, model, music video director and about to finish his own first film. Some 2nd/3rd Gen Scientologists then try to make modern Science Fiction films, where they potentially insert Scientology messaging without the audience being any wiser. I am sure some of the logic is that it worked for L.Ron after all.
It’s also much more likely to go unnoticed unlike another Battlefield Earth would.
Recent research I have done has shown a wide variety of Scientologist Sci Fi and Fantasy writers. All currently working on either film, shows or books. This feels like back to the beginning with how L. Ron was able to manipulate people. Good ole’ Science Fiction. Which from the church of Scientology’s POV could prep your mind for embracing Scientology and eventually open more wallets to the cult again.
Tommy’s older brother Mike Savas, works in the music industry. Runs “SUPER” , a boutique VIP experience company. Excerpt from Flaunt Magazine, when they interviewed Mike Savas. “ Savas is a highly experienced leader in the music industry who has been on numerous world tours. He has collaborated with many big names in the business, such as Bon Jovi, Metallica, Oprah, The Rolling Stones, Guns N’ Roses, Prince, Eminem, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, The Black Eyed Peas, Janet Jackson, Michael Buble, Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam, and even former President Barack Obama”
Mike Savas used his Queen contract as a way to funnel business opportunity to Scientologist owned, Never Take It Off. A jewelry company that partners with artists and has received a lot of criticism over the last decade for fraudulent business practices. Under Mike Savas’ direction NTIO produced bracelets for Queen’s vip ticket holders in 2023. Never Take It Off is owned by the parents of Simms sisters, Angie and Juliet.
Mike Savas has been around a lot of celebs over the years and I am sure he could have spied on the most of them for the Scientology Celeb center’s office of the President. He seems like the kind of guy where these artists wouldn’t know what they were dealing with. My prediction is we will see those very lucrative vip packages for Linkin Park’s global tours next year contracted to Mike Savas/ Wearesuper. Thanks to the bands new singer, Emily Armstrong. It would be quite the deal for him as Linkin Park are the largest modern rock band in existence. Mike Savas would be another Scientologist entrenched into Linkin Park’s camp. Which is always what happens. Example: When Ashton Kutcher ended up with a multi Gen deep Scientologist personal assistant to keep an eye on him. Regardless of not being a member of the church, per say. After being close to Masterson.
Some current artists listed on Mike Savas’ company website “wearesuper.co” include: Metallica, WWE, Katy Perry, Duff McKagan, and Pentatonix.
The name “Super” makes me think on one of Mike Rinder’s recent posts regarding “superhumans” of Scientology. Eerie coincidence. Considering the context of that post.
Mike Savas is also very close to Danny Wimmer, of DWP. Danny owns the majority of modern rock festivals in the USA.
Which leads to the last bit of odd coincidence, the only two shows Juliet Simms was booked for this year were at Louder Than Life and Aftershock ( as Lilith Czar). Both festivals are owned by Savas friend, Danny Wimmer.
Scientologist and Actress Juliette Lewis was also booked, with her band the Licks.
What a small world.

Juliet Simms changed her “stage name” to Lilith Czar in early 2021. After attacking and hitting her husband on a flight in 2016. She tried to frame him for physical abuse, hitting herself in the face with handcuffs while in air Marshall custody. This was reported and documented by TMZ. The interview with adult entertainer Mary Carey is worth a watch, Carey was a eye witness to the incident. Juliet Simms aka Lilith Czar didn’t call a lawyer or agent like most celebrities would. She called her FATHER, who has a life long loyalty to Scientology. She also proceeds to blame her husband the victim for causing the situation on the phone call to her father. Which of course Scientology teaches that victims “cause” their own abuse and bring it in on themselves. So her eagerness to blame him, screams Scientology mindset. This is all thankfully in videos still available on YouTube. Her husband Andy Biersack of rock band Black Veil Brides sadly did not press charges on her. In later interviews she claimed to have told her husband she would “die” if he left her. She used an alleged miscarriage as an excuse for attacking her husband on the plane. Claiming to be so drunk she couldn’t remember what she did or said to him. Yet she managed to hatch a plan to frame her husband in a matter of mins, then self inflicted injuries on her face, while she demanded to use her phone to contact her Scientologist father? She seemed pretty aware at the time. Under her new name Lilith Czar she sells the persona of a powerful being from outer space that is “resurrected” as Lilith Czar, after Juliet Simms is “dropped”. Sounds awfully Scientologist to me. Juliet Simms remains her legal name and she recently moved back to Clearwater Florida, with the same husband Andy Biersack. He is known to have a lot of mental health struggles himself……
Juliet Simms continues her “career” in the rock industry as Lilith Czar to this day. Recently playing the Louder Than Life festival. She missed her ONLY OTHER gig for the entire year when Milton hit. Used the hurricane to garner sympathy from fans while being overly dramatic about the effect the storm had on her. Claiming to live in Tampa when she is in Clearwater. For a person raised in Scientology, who by the churches logic should have the L. Ron Hubbard advantage… her career in the rock music industry hasn’t gone that well. She maintains her relevancy via her husband’s more substantial career. She is currently without a record label again. Hence why she had only two live performance gigs booked in the last year and a half.
Juliet Simms is unlikely to call out the churches abuse when she herself is a manipulator of a man with mental illness ( her husband) and an abuser herself. Physically, psychologically, and emotionally abusive. Her husband has been with her most of his adult life. They married when he was just 21, met when he was a teenager. He was not raised a Scientologist and was an outsider. He was originally dating an actress and Juliet befriended her. Then used her friendship to get dirt on his girlfriend and pass it along to him. Destroying his relationship with that girlfriend and catapulting him into a new relationship with Juliet. Just weeks later at most. She was nearly five years older than him and being a Scientology third gen, taught how to manipulate people.
Juliet Simms later stalked this ex gf even after Simms and Biersack’s marriage in 2012. Harassing the actress in public. Trying to play “games” with her according to that actress. Which is also reminiscent of Scientology and what it has done to so many people.
Some people in the community are aware of Juliet Simms. She’s been mentioned for her Scientology connections before. Which is likely how she made the list above. Along other Scientology celebs. Her new name though Lilith Czar, has been largely untarnished while she tries to rebrand herself and escape the truth of her past. Search returns for Juliet Simms vs Lilith Czar give very different results when it comes to her history of abusive behavior and also for her connections to Scientology.
While under Lilith Czar she sells a new image of “rock n roll feminist and freedom fighter.”
Just waiting for the collab between her and Emily Armstrong. They have all of the same friends including the Masterson’s.

The illogic that is applied to CoS ought to be mined by the Sicilian crime families for immunity from governmental investigation and potential prosecution, since it could be argued their engagement in organized crime is also a matter of religious belief of a sort.

While reading this, i thought of something, (which I think even LRH made mention of), that thinking or acting in absolutes is psychotic. SCN acts, thinks, and behaves in absolutes. Practitioners thusly are also indoctrinated into “absolute” thought, and processes (which, if i recall, is also a ‘characteristic of a cult’).
interestingly too, while reading this, I was reminded of a move, called “Bulletproof Monk” where there was this audition / organization that was showing the horrors of the holocaust, but it was put there, and maintained by an organization supporting it. I found that quite interesting, that those that “cry wolf” (prob not the correct colloquialism), about atrocities the loudest (almost) seem to be the ones that are the deepest supporters of said atrocities.

Ah Rebecca Grant. I remember seeing her regularly in the Academy at London Org. She was lovely, very friendly and we had a number of pleasant conversations.
Mike, this such a great read. It really spins my mind that, a former President of the U.S.A, an alleged criminal who wants another bite of the cherry, can stand day after day, in front of huge crowds of people and spew outright lies and falsehoods , then receive acclamations, can be so identical to Miscavige who stands in front of his minions, and delivers, with thunderous applause, buckets full of lies and insane projections.
