I had not seen this until perusing the scientology.org website today. Don't focus on the wonderful passage of classic Shermanspeak -- legendary times on the front porch of infinity indeed. No, try to put that out of your mind and note the claim -- apparently in response to the repeated exposure of the dwindling numbers at his events -- that the event was attended by a "record number" pegged at 6700 lost souls from 70 nations. Of course, this is quite a feat, given the capacity of the venue is Ruth Eckerd Hall that seats 2180 (slightly less with all the cameras and sound equipment … [Read more...]
Schmoozing And Losing
That's Pat Clouden, scientology whale and Lynn Posyton, Clearwater scientology whale remora with Pam Bondi. Ms. Bondi has been a favorite in scientology circles, with several of her forays into the bubble documented on Tony Ortega's blog. And look who else was in attendance, schmoozing with Lynn Posyton. Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri. It's not that this was a "scientology event" -- the Drug Free America Foundation is not controled by scientology, but scientologists have made a concerted effort to infiltrate this group. Elected officials … [Read more...]
The Ideal Org She Ain’t What She Used To Be
The National Public Affairs Office that is part of the DC Ideal org (the Fraser mansion at Dupont Circle) seems to have sprung a leak. One of our eagle-eyed correspondents sent in these photos yesterday. Looks like a rather large section of the roof has sprung a leak, so they deployed some tarpaulin tech to "handle the hell out of it".... Even though the majority of public at the DC org are NOI, they are not enough to make this org viable. No doubt, like all the other "ideal orgs", they are incapable of covering their expenses. As long as no water is gushing in, you can pretty … [Read more...]
More Ribbon Yankings
Yanking those ribbons has become a staple of scientology internal propaganda. Of course, though this is their proudest moment demonstrating their massive international expansion, no outsiders are ever allowed to attend and there is massive security presence to ensure they cannot. These are often timed to coincide with events -- either a few weeks before in order to include in the upcoming event, or shortly afterwards for the convenience of the Chairman of the Bored (as in Amsterdam, Birmingham and Ireland most recently). Now, with the March 13th standing-ovation-athon done and dusted (one … [Read more...]
Scientology and TV
Scientology is taking to the airwaves (sort of) tonight. It's interesting times. They put out a press release that resulted in this story in THR: This story highlights just a few of their problems. They have nobody willing to talk to the media, and apparently these days, nobody willing to respond in any way. Not the recipe for success in this field. Every story that mentions scientology tv is going to mention Going Clear and The Aftermath -- that favor will not be returned. Scientology TV is a novelty that will be forgotten fast. A quick scan of the comments on this s … [Read more...]
Fear and Loathing in Clearwater
You may have read or seen others commenting on this recent article by Tracey McManus. Clearwater City Council candidates mum on Scientology’s impact downtown I found the article fascinating (I have included the full text of it below) for a number of reasons. First, EVERYONE in Clearwater knows exactly what the biggest problem facing Clearwater is. The downtown is dead. While neighboring Dunedin, Safety Harbor and even St. Petersburg are flourishing and prospering, Clearwater languishes in the empty storefront doldrums. Yet Clearwater has greater potential for its dow … [Read more...]
The Safest City
This is more of the scientology bubble crazy on display. They have been convinced that handing out copies of the Way to Happiness "reduces crime" and "brings calm" to neighborhoods. Why do they believe this? First is because L. Ron Hubbard proclaimed this to be the case. He determined that problems in society all stemmed from the lack of a moral code, and that by distributing HIS it spread calm and peace and bring about miraculous changes. And of course, if L. Ron Hubbard says not enough smoking is the true cause of cancer, that LSD is stored in the fatty tissues of the body or that … [Read more...]
Clearwater VM PR Desperation
Scientology is so desperate to get anything resembling good PR they are putting out paid press releases about an upcoming "attempt" to do a "record-setting" street clean up. Scientology Volunteer Ministers Attempt Record-Breaking Cleanup to Help Reduce Crime CLEARWATER, Fla., Jan. 11, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In continuation of their campaign for a safe Clearwater, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers (VMs) of Florida will carry out a record-breaking 500-man community cleanup on February 10th 2018 in the Greenwood neighborhood. Neighbors are invited to participate and enjoy a BBQ after t … [Read more...]
Flag’s New Fake Photo
Things are looking pretty dim in the world of scientology, even at Flag, the last bastion of "look how big and cool we are." They actually have to round up anyone who has been given a certificate ANY TIME in 2017 to come for their photo shoot at FLAG??? The photo below shows no more than 150 people (can't be bothered counting them, so giving them the benefit of the doubt). With their ongoing 47X expansion, greatest year of greatness in the history of histories, GAT II and faster Bridge progress than ever, the amazing Super Power and Cause Resurgence making planetary clearing a reality … [Read more...]
Clearwater PR – Xmas Carolers Surprise
Another Freudian slip. This is a couple of weeks old. Scientology put out a press release about their wonderful goodwill gesture of caroling for Christmas. Of course, scientology and Christianity have nothing to do with one another. Scientologists do NOT celebrate Christmas. Their Christmas is March 13, they hold a massive celebration (at least massive for them) to commemorate the birth of L. Ron Hubbard. It is the most important day on the scientology calendar. So, it is quite hypocritical for them to make themselves appear to be "Christian observant." But then Amber inadvertently … [Read more...]
