Former RTC executive Mariette Lindstein has been forging an astonishingly successful career as a writer since leaving the Sea Org. She and her husband, Dan Koon, are long time friends. I originally brought Mariette to the International Base to become WDC Scientology (over all Class 5 orgs). She has forgiven me for this. Dan and I shared a lot of time compiling the What Is Scientology? book and various other things and back when life was not completely insane at Gold we would sneak a game of golf during CSP time on Sunday mornings on the otherwise virtually unused Golden Era golf … [Read more...]
Dan Koon Responds
Dan Koon responds to the letter his ex-wife sent to ABC 20/20. A copy of her letter is below with Dan's commentary in red. Because of my familiarity with some of the matters raised in her letter, I have added my own comments which are in blue italics. My old friend, Mariette Lindstein has written a book. And it is causing quite a stir. Mariette worked at the Int Base for many years (in fact, I brought her and her husband to the Int base to man WDC posts). She was then five years in RTC under Miscavige, and yes, she was another prisoner of the Hole -- even though according to its Founder David Miscavige, no such place has ever existed. Mariette lives in Sweden … [Read more...]
Superpower — The Facts
A write up by Dan Koon about Super Power has just appeared on Operation Clambake (see here). Because I have had so much to say about the subject of its "imminent" release, I am republishing Dan's write up here in full (though if you want the attachments referenced, go to Clambake, I have not attached them or linked to them here). If there is one person who knows the story of Super Power -- what it contains and what it is supposed to accomplish -- it is Dan Koon. His recollections may help distinguish the hype from reality and help make clear just what a boondoggle the entire Super Power … [Read more...]
