Panic Before the Scientology New Year’s Event
David Miscavige is back for the big "New Year" bash at the Shrine Auditorium in LA next Saturday (Dec 16th -- they do everything differently in scientology). It seems, that in the "Scientology capital of the world" they are worried they cannot scrape together enough scientologists to fill the auditorium. It only holds 6300 -- and yet they are going to extraordinary lengths to bring in out of towners to make sure they at least the lower level of the Shrine. Some Scenes from the Circus Tent
The IAS circus came to town, complete with R6 angels, helicopters, movies everyone was required to watch. The sheeple filed in, subjected themselves to 3 hours of loud noises, flashing symbols and lies about their accomplishments, dutifully stood and cheered, whistled and applauded at all the appropriate times, then filed out again, re-dedicated to the idea that they alone are saving mankind. More Ideal Org Fail
This promotional item reminded me of something about the promise of the "ideal org" program... Miscavige heavily promoted that these orgs would generate new Missions, Narconons, WISE and Dianetics Groups, WTH chapters etc etc in their zones and that this would result in massive international expansion as those mission would then turn into orgs and the pattern would be repeated. UK Protest Causing Stir
The Guardian ran a piece about the UK protest at St Hill coinciding with the IAS event. This was also picked up by Newsweek. This is clearly not good news for the COB and scientology. The piece not only talks about the protest but brings up the lawsuits Miscavige is named in as well as the Danny Masterson conviction. Salt Lake City Ideal Org is Dead — Just Like The Rest of Them
A couple of contributors took a trip to Salt Lake City and decided to swing by the ideal morgue there. Here is their report: It's a nice large building with reasonable landscaping. Compared to San Francisco, Portland, Sacramento, and Seattle, which all look empty, this one hides its emptiness nicely with solid brick walls.
