They're panicking inside the scientology bubble over Aaron Smith-Levin running for City Council. See post from yesterday for other indications. This letter was sent to an OT 8 who attended the recent fundraiser in support of Aaron's campaign. It arrived in the mail a few days after they were spotted there. A couple of things in this letter of interest. Wonder why Flag has a PO Box in Tampa as their address? Cara Goloshefksy (the Mike Ellis of Flag) is now Cara Pendery? I didn't even know Rafferty Pendery had a brother…. Apparently he has been in the Sea Org f … [Read more...]
Episode 49: Katherine and Julian Wain
This week we talk to a couple who experienced scientology ethics and disconnection policies up close and personal. Katherine is the sister of William Kilmartin. William was previously married to Leah's sister Shannon. When Leah and her family left scientology, William refused to disconnect, as a result his scientology family members all disconnected from him, including his sisters and parents. William was then officially adopted into Leah's family and is now Leah's adopted brother. It's a bit unusual and sort of complicated so I wanted to make sure it was clear up front here. After … [Read more...]
L. Ron Hubbard Redefines Ethics
Another thought-provoking essay from Brian Lambert. INTRODUCTION TO SCIENTOLOGY ETHICS: L. RON HUBBARD’S ROAD TO SUICIDE “We are not moralists” “I am not interested in wog morality” L. Ron Hubbard (Remember these quotes when reading the dictionary definitions of ethics below) It’s possible, through this essay, that dictionaries may be considered, by the Scientologist, a suppressive source of anti-religious bigotry. These definitions prove that Hubbard altered the meaning of the word ethics. Hubbard changed the “meaning and melodies” of the word ethics, and by so doing he distorted th … [Read more...]
More Denver in Distress
Here is the "Interrogatory" that preceded the "HCO Summons"... This is pretty revealing. Not attending events "expected of Scientologists." Appearing to drink excessively? Failing in some area of life, "yet do not seek Ethics help"? "Scientologists who are not participating" or "helping OTC"? Can you imagine the state of this "org" that this is what they are devoting their time to? The moral police. Not resembling much the oft-proclaimed “what is true for you is true” and “you don’t have to believe anything in scientology” and “think for yourself”... They clearly have n … [Read more...]
More on Conditions in Scientology
It's SaTerraDay More on Conditions in Scientology According L. Ron Hubbard: “A Danger Condition is normally assigned when: An Emergency Condition has continued too long. A statistic plunges downward very steeply. A senior executive suddenly finds himself or herself wearing the hat of the head of the activity because it is in trouble.” First Dynamic Formula Bypass habits or normal routines. Handle the situation and any danger in it. Assign self a Danger Condition. Get in your own personal ethics by finding what you are doing that is out-ethics and use self- … [Read more...]
Scientology Condition of Liability
Scientology Condition of Liability I’m always amazed at the ability of Scientologists to turn a blind eye to the LRH tech and policy they’ve sworn to follow and uphold. I should know. From my first week as a student on the Communication Course way back when, I put on blinders every time I walked in the mission. The more I studied, the more I knew things weren’t completely right. Then again, there was this young blonde girl... But I digress. Per L. Ron Hubbard’s Condition of Liability, “Below Non-Existence there is the Condition of Liability. The being has ceased to be simply non-existent as a … [Read more...]
The Scientology Committee of Evidence
It's Saturday. Yay for Terra Cognita! The Scientology Committee of Evidence The Committee of Evidence—Comm Ev for short—is one of the chief instruments the Church of Scientology uses to administer justice. Over the years, this court-martial-like hearing has changed from a method of gathering facts and evidence to something more sinister. Nine times out of time, the outcome is a foregone conclusion, played out for show rather than in the interest of fairness and justice. For many church members, there is little more frightening than being called before a Committee of Evidence. As every Sci … [Read more...]
